We could not have found a more professional and competent team than the folks at Arbor Viking. Erik and team were extremely prompt in responding to our quote request (minutes!) and very thorough in offering a polished quote with options and the guidance we sought. We invited multiple groups to bid our project and all but Arbor Viking thought the project was too difficult or just did not respond after seeing the job. Our property is a bit treacherous but the Arbor Viking team was undaunted. Our job spanned multiple days and the team was excellent at communicating updates and checking-in for preferences. They were kind and flexible with our requests as they changed/evolved. They were creative and skillful in approaching the project and we could not but marvel at their techniques. Their pricing was fair and they delivered on everything they promised. Our trees are so much happier and our neighbors impressed enough that one hired the crew for their own gig after watching the transformation. We were very impressed with Erik and his team. They were friendly but professional. They were able to get ivy cleared off of trees on an embankment on the back of our property quickly and left the trees looking great and gave us our views back. They seemed knowledgeable and honest, letting us know all of our options in dealing with a large tree that we didn't know was dangerous. We ended up getting that tree removed and having another tree trimmed. We will definitely be having them back when we are ready to have more work done! read more

Had a mix up on scheduling for an estimate. No biggy. Erik comes out, great guy, seems like he knows his stuff. Spend close to a half hour discussing what would be done. Says he will have a detailed estimate to me in a day or two. I text him the same day after he leaves and say thanks for coming out. He responds, thanking me for being flexible with timing. Two days go by (it's a weekend but he provided the timeline for the estimate delivery, not me) with no estimate. I text, no response. It is now Tuesday. He came by last Thursday. I have not heard back. Note: it's a holiday weekend so take that into account. It's frustrating because he was actually a nice and knowledgeable guy. And I wasted 30 minutes trolling around in the trees when I could have been working. read more

Nice guy, knew what he was talking about. Showed up in a mask so he was considerate of safety. Absolutely ghosted us on a quote. He told us it would be a couple of days because he was the one doing everything - quotes and all - and that they were busy. We even told him our project was not urgent and we could wait a few days for the quote. But, we received nothing. I followed up in Yelp messages about 2 weeks later asking for a quote and didn't get a response. I get being busy, but if you need help, get help. You can't run around ghosting clients. We probably would have used him, too, but if you don't respond, we go elsewhere. read more

The estimator seemed to understand what I wanted in terms of trees and laurel bushes being cut back. The estimator told me it would take the crew about 4 hours. The crew, of 3 men, were finishing up at less than 2 hours, and I went out and asked if they could cut some more branches off of both a tree and the laurel. They told me they couldn't do what I had asked, it would be bad for the tree, etc. They could have cut them without harming the tree. They left after 2 hours. Cost $750. read more

Erik and his crew did a fantastic job of removing two of our trees (a Big Leaf Maple and an Alder) from our backyard, which required going down and up a steep slope repeatedly. From the estimate through final clean-up, I can't say enough good things about how excellent the communication, professionalism, courtesy, and quality were. I highly recommend Arbor Viking Tree Specialists. We had a 75 foot triple-trunk tree that had to be removed, located right next to the property line. The crown of the tree and two massive trunks were overhanging two neighbors properties, including an ADU with eco-roof. Erik and his crew hoisted all parts of the tree safely away from the neighbors property; they removed the entire tree without any debris falling into the neighbors yard. They did the work very quickly, safely, and surprisingly quietly. One neighbor came home and said "how is that even possible?" They gave us the lowest quoted price of all estimates (other companies said the job was too difficult.) They were completely professional, and safety was paramount to the crew. Arbor Viking exceeded my expectations. And I cannot leave out how clean the jobsite was when they were through. This is the tree service I will be using exclusively in the future. read more
