03.10.2026 Tuesday Today I had a Dental Cleaning scheduled. They scheduled me with Ruby which is not my normal dental hygienist. My appointment was at 11am. She took me in at 11:01am. She was done by 11:20. That was pretty fast. I wish it would of been longer, since this type of service is a form of relaxation to me. She did a good job. I have been going here for almost 25 plus years. This is my spot for life. Unfortunately, I just got word that this place is having problems with my DENTAL Insurance (Delta). Starting in June 2026, I must pay upfront with my dental services then send Delta a reimbursement request. I was told it can take months to get reimbursed. I really dont want to do business like this. The solution is either change Dental Offices or Change Dental insurance. Either way something has to give. I really dont want to Part from this institution. This place has always treated me good. Their staff is professional, friendly, caring, funny, and outgoing. They actually take the time to console you about your teeth. Kudos to Rose that assisted me regarding my insurance. Also much love to the staff!! Dentist, Admins and Hygienists! This Dental office is the best I ever experienced. The ambiance and energy is really chill. I posted a pic of the insurance they take. If you have any of these providers, I really recommend this place to handle your Dental needs. Top Notch in the Bixby Knolls area. Plenty of street parking available. read more

Dr Gutierrez is personable caring and compassionate. He gives you his undivided attention while you're in his chair and makes sure you are very comfortable with the procedure that is being done. The office staff are very kind and receptive to your needs. My teeth cleaning has been done by Caroline for several years and she always keeps me up to date on any concerns in my mouth. I have been a patient at this office for about 20 years. I started with Dr. Adams, and now Dr. Gutierrez provides my care. Dr. Gutierrez is a phenomenal dentist. He is very skilled, explains every situation clearly, is gentle, and just an all around nice person to boot--super friendly! The entire staff feels like family, especially Toni, my hygienist! I am always VERY anxious going to the Dentist; however, Dr. Gutierrez makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed; he really listens to you and communicates so well, the required solution. I think Dr. G is excellent and I like his hygienist quite a bit. I am very picky with dentists and have had some bad experiences, but Dr. G is honest and good, he doesn't upsell you and he tells it to you straight. I just wish the office's equipment was updated! I am very concerned with the very old xray unit, so I will probably have to reluctantly look elsewhere. I wish they would update. read more

My sister recommended Dr. Gutierrez, and I have to say this is the best dental office I've been too. The staff are very friendly and honest, and they patiently answered all our questions. I have sensitive teeth, but the hygienist Carol was very gentle, so for the first time my cleaning was painless - yay! And Dr. Gutierrez was also very friendly and explained things in a thorough and easy to understand way. We don't have dental insurance but the cash prices are reasonable. He also let my husband and I know what would be more affordable options for us. Highly recommended! read more

Dr Arby Guitierrez has been our family dentist for 15 years! We absolutely love him. He is always smiling. Always so very positive. I called today because I thot I had a tooth infection.. His office was able to squeeze me in same day. Whew, not an infection just gum inflammation from food impact. Whew! That was close. I have referred 2 other families to this dental office! I had a regular teeth cleaning at Dr Arby Gutierrez Dental Clinic today. Caroline, the hygienist did a great job cleaning my teeth and she was very efficient. I was seated on the dental chair on time and done within an hour with a bright smile on my face . I can say they sincerely care about their patients because she even showed me how to use a round brush, an additional step to regular flossing and brushing. Dr Arby's G examined my teeth and found a filling had fallen out. At my filling fix I had no pain at all, and the bite worked the first time. So quick! I was able to have dinner with no raw cheek. Other times, other dentists i had raw cheek syndrome. Best experience ever. The staff is fun and lovely. The holiday decorations were uplifting. I look forward to the dentist now. read more

I ve been going to Dr Gutierrez for about 4 years now. I m so glad I found this practice. Always professional and friendly. Today was no exception. Sunday my crown popped off and I had to wait until Tuesday as Monday was a holiday. Not having an appointment I was totally ready to wait or even come back later in the day. They got me in within 10 minutes of arriving and Dr. Gutierrez had taken care of everything along with his assistant in record time. He was personable asking me how things have been going since my last visit. I was out of the door in about 25 minutes. His front desk as always friendly! I am very happy with Dr. Gutierrez his dentist office in Long Beach. I switched from a different dentist in Torrance who was always trying to sell me treatments that I didn't need and constantly pressuring me at every visit. Dr. Gutierrez's office does not do this. They do not try to sell you anything you do not need. They're very professional and cleaning my teeth or taking x-rays. My parents, brothers, husband, and children all come to this office, and we all love it! They are very courteous and very professional here. read more

I made an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. Was told I would have to wait 2 months and my first visit would have to be a consult/ X-rays and then I'd have to make another appt to get them cleaned. She said that would be another couple months. This place was down the street so the convenience of the location was a real draw for me. A week before my appt the front desk lady must've called me 4 times to confirm and ask questions about my insurance that made no sense. Didn't listen to anything I said, would talk over me with more nonsense. When I hung up I checked Yelp and saw that they had one star and the person was saying similar things. I canceled and wanted to let people know, the dentist may be good, who knows but the front desk women is incapable of doing her job with customer service in mind. I'm writing this cause places with bad customer service should know they have bed service so maybe they can improve, I'm hoping this is what happens. Be well everyone read more

Have not been treated by this Dr for was seeing Dr S. Adams. Where Dr. Adams is retiring the front office staff is those of Dr. Gutierrez. Called to make an appointment with Dr Adams. OUCH. Kathy answered the phone and we asked to make an appointment with Dr Adams. Put on hold for over 15 min. while she "pulled the file" Why do you need the file to make an appointment. Then after trying to get the appointment and explaining what we needed. She still had to talk to someone else about what to do. When she did make the appointment she gave me the wrong time for the wrong day for she called back saying she looked at the wrong week. Crap someone whom can't even tell what week is what. I then asked for the office manager. OUCH again. This lady is a long way from being a front office manager. Would not listen to what I had to say or needed. We where going to make or try and have Dr Gutierez our new Dr. From out experance from such a poor unfriendly, rude front office. No way are we going there. I say Stay away from this place. read more
