I'm not big into Arby's, but our son said they have burgers and they're pretty good. I thought they only had roast beef and chicken. So we stopped by to try them out (my husband has been plenty of times) and I decided, if I'm trying this, let's go big! :) . We both ordered their Big Cheesy Burger Meal. It actually wasn't bad for a fast food restaurant. The service was a little slow, but not a big deal to us. It was dinner time and they were busy. The gentleman that took our order was very polite and friendly and we got our order fairly quickly. Now the last time I ate there was several years ago and I got an order of Curly Fries and they were not cooked all the way and most were stuck to each other so bad, it was raw and I threw it away (Drive-thru, so not turning around). But, these were perfect and very tasty. The burgers were good size and very good. We tried their Honey Mustard Sauce and yum!! Had to go back and get more and we ordered more Curly Fries. They have changed the inside, as the last time I was there, they had high top tables and a fireplace. Those have been removed and now all regular seating. So overall it was a quick bite, that I was nervous thinking of the last time I was there years ago, ended up being really good. Great job for everyone working there! Went there today and got the new steak bites.not bad more like brisket.looked at my reciept i was charged for sauces i didnt ask for.i asked the big guy mgr up front why and do you charge for sauces.he said if its on the reciept then yes i said thats funny i didnt ask for sauce and you can clearly see i was charged for 2 sauces they gave me with my steak bites.he ssid he had no idea why they charged me for sauces.and would have to contact corperate.ive never been displeased like this at arbys with a do called mgr that didnt know about the store hes running charging for things you didn't order.and had no idea guess i have to slways check my reciept there now for stuff i didnt order.beware people of what you are being charged for.alot of places charge for sauces now even if you didnt ask for it. read more

Arby's is the underdog in town, so rarely do you have to fight to get in. The service here is generally pretty good, but once in a while mistakes happen. During my most recent visit I was given a cordon bleu but they literally only put lettuce and mayo (which I asked to be held) on the chicken, and I don't have any clue how someone could mess it up that bad. Regardless, you can usually get good food in a reasonable amount of time, save for busy weekends and power outages where the staff can't keep up with a crowd. I've never been to an Arby's before so I stopped with my boyfriend to try it out. I was expecting good things, and it was DISGUSTING inside. The bathroom seemed cleaner than the whole rest of the place. So many crumbs, stains, spills, gunk, that it appears to have not been cleaned in many days. I was waiting for my food and didn't even want to sit on the benches seats because of how filthy they were. It was a miss with the roast beef sandwich. The thinly sliced beef was grayish and desiccated. Signs that it was held for some time under a warmer. Then the soda tasted weak and insipid. On the upside, the curly fries were good. And so was the Jamoca shake. I guess this would be 4 stars if I only ordered curly fries and Jamica shakes. read more

I gave up soda a few months ago so I thought I would try a lemonade with my meal. I was really thirsty, so better make it a large! But when I was given the drink, I thought there must be some mistake because I was handed a medium size. When I questioned the employee, I was told that large for the lemonades, because they are in a different cup, that makes them SIGNATURE, and therefore you only get a medium when you order a large.... Because the medium... is the largest cup for the SIGNATURE lemonades even tho it is labeled large and is precisely the same size as their medium fountain soda.... Priced at a whooping 3.99, filled to the max with ice and 6 sips later, I could not be more unsatisfied. THIS IS A SCAM, ARBY'S. Sorry, but if medium is the largest option you have, you can't just call it large and charge that premium. Especially on a product like lemonade where your margins are so high. This just shows your greed and the type of company this is. Not only is your food terrible for people but you're ripping your people off, every opportunity you get, just to help that top line. I don't go to Arby's often, mostly because of the experience I've had when I do go there. My usual order is a beef and cheddar sandwich, but for whatever reason, the last three or four times I've been there, they've completely forgot to put the cheddar on the sandwich. Regularly this wouldn't be a huge deal, but the cheese adds a lot of flavor, so the sandwich is more bland without it. The food is pretty good, but service could be improved. read more

Okay so there is fast food and then there is Arby's. It is different in a good way. Interesting sandwich and hamburger choices that vary depending on the season. Everything has always been fresh and hot. Reasonably priced. The shakes are wonderful compared to McDonald's or Burger King. As much as I enjoy the staff at Arby's in Topsham and the food, I will not be eating there again due to the rude, unprofessional, unsanitary behavior of the store owner. I ordered a sandwich it was missing bacon. I checked the sandwich, that I was getting for someone else, realized it was missing bacon and went in to have the sandwich replaced. The owner said, can you bring the sandwich back in, I said sure, went to the car got the sandwich and gave it to him thinking he would throw it away. He began to open the sandwich and told the employee making the sandwich to add bacon it! How gross and unsanitary! I said I would like a fresh sandwich please. He refused and began to scream at me, and I explained how what he was doing was very dirty and germy. The other people in the restaurant stared in shock as he treated me less than human and clearly was endangering his entire staff with his unclean and beligerant behaviors. I came inside handed him a sandwich he then handed to an employee on the food line! He was handling money. He didn't wash his hands and he completely contaminated the person on the sandwich line! Gross. He also said I didn't deserve to have a fresh sandwich although my order was not prepared correctly. I said your employees are more professional and friendly than you, and you can learn a lot about food safety and customer service from them. He refused to replace the sandwich, and I recognized the assistant manager and asked her for a refund. She apologized for the inconvenience and refunded me for the sandwich. I then had to go through the drive thru to order the replacement sandwich! They apologized too because they saw how I was treated. I don't know if the owner is crazy, a racist, or what his problem is, but he doesn't appreciate common hygienic food handling procedures or his customers. He yelled, I don't' need business advice from you! I said well you should take it from your staff because they do a better job than you, and know the correct Arby's way to handle food and customers. Everytime I go to Arby's in Topsham , they get my order wrong. The other day I ordered a Cajun fish sandwich and got reg fish. Today I ordered a buffalo chicken without tomato or ranch and it looks like they just took off the tomato and lettuce because it had tomato seeds and ranch on it. Stopped here for lunch today . Had a classic roast beef meal with curly fries and a chocolate shake and a French dip meal with regular fries and a mocha shake . . Service was excellent . Rich was very pleasant . Restaurant was very clean . We would highly recommend this Arby's and will certainly return when going through Topsham . read more
