When I tried to cancel the booking, I was told by them that they don't accept cancellations and to refer to the cancellation policy on their website, but the thing was, there is no cancellation policy on their website. When I confronted the owner about this, he said the cancellation policy is only viewable after sending the payment for the booking, which makes no sense. Since I couldn't cancel the booking, I took the car anyway. When I went to the pickup location today, I looked around for the car and noticed it wasn't there. So I tried calling them and found out that they had parked it in a different location than what they said. I had already had to pay for an Uber to get to the original location of the car. When I arrived at the location where they parked the car, I found out they had rented me a Kia Soul instead of the Toyota I was supposed to get. I tried opening the door to the car and found out it was locked. They had locked the keys inside the car, and now I could not get it. I called them up, and they sent someone to see what was wrong; I watched as he peeled the duct tape covering the window to try and open the door. They tried to rent me a car with a missing window in negative-degree weather. Finally, they said they would rent me a super old Chevy Impala, but I had to call State Farm and purchase insurance. Ultimately, I decided they were putting me through so much trouble. That I didn't even want the rental anymore. I asked for a refund, and the "owner" responded that I was "lucky to get a rental."

There is a limo option in town, and you can rent a full limo or ride on a bus like a hotel or rental car shuttle - both good options. For us, a better solution was... a one-way rental from National, which let us be on our own schedule, and to drive our own route... National... where Green Means Go... decades after I first started renting with them, it's still so nice to pick the car we drive. The Purdue University / Lafayette airport is not big, and that can be a nice thing, as often the other facilities, like the rental car offices, are less constraining... in that is the case here. This was Purdue graduation weekend, and I tried to impress on him that they were really putting us in a bind. I was told to "try a competitor, but there was probably nothing anywhere." I asked how this could happen, and I was informed that they routinely over-book. Zero contrition, and totally unwilling to offer any solutions to the impossible circumstances they created for us. When I showed him the reservation didn't show as cancelled on my end, he said he didn't actually cancel it in case I showed up to "confront" him, he wanted all the information there. I should be able to expect that once I make a reservation, I will have a car. If overbooking is done inadvertently, the minimum should be doing me the courtesy of canceling the reservation in advance so I don't waste my time. It's bizarre that he expected a confrontation and chose to waste my time over that. Apparently this spot is regularly in the position of canceling folks' reservations and incurring anger as a result. Worse, I was easily able to make a reservation without my corporate account (at double the price) for the exact same time and car -- so maybe he just didn't want to let me take the car at the corporate discount price when he could make more off regular customers? It would explain why the app didn't show the location as sold out. I cancelled the second reservation myself because I won't give this location any business. By the time I was in the door, there were 6 people behind me. Again, I HIGHLY recommend the online pre-ordering system which helps to streamline your check in, getting you in/out faster. The associate that helped us chose a vehicle was helpful and knowledgeable about both the vehicles and the additional coverage I would need. Side note: If you are in an accident in an Enterprise vehicle, yes your insurance may cover it, depending on your coverage, but most insurance companies will NOT cover the additional "down time" that Enterprise will be YOU for while the car is in the shop and not on the road making money for them. Obviously it is a good idea to cover that expense because their assessment to the vehicle's potential income is a HUGE variable. We chose a vehicle that was what I needed; big trunk, roomy and decent gas mileage, and were on our way. I needed to add an additional day to my contract and when I called the customer service was outstanding. The only complaint I have was the vehicle was not detailed, or at least not cleaned out very well. We found paper under the seats and receipts in the glove box. I can honestly say I returned the vehicle cleaner than I received it. Even with that said, I travel a lot and always rent from Enterprise because I have found over the years that their price and customer service is above and beyond the other rental facilities but this particular Enterprise is even better than "average" Enterprise.

I talked to the company owner who insisted the Impala was a 2020 and nice car, but I use airport service often and this was not an acceptable vehicle for this type of service- it did not have the feel of a high end, luxury vehicle inside, both in the quality of the interior nor the ride. I would recommend using another airport car service company if you are looking for the "luxury" experience this company claimed to deliver. The owner did apologize but did not offer anything further to compensate for the experience.
