All the games of childhood are here like galaga, Pac-Man, old school Nintendo, pinball machines and even current favorites like Nintendo switch. For $12 you can play all day and even leave and return. They also serve food and have a full bar. The food is typical bar food like burgers and fries but we didn't eat here. Way too over priced. And get this, they don't offer a discount for kids but also don't allow kids under 15 to play pinball, claiming kids hit the buttons wrong. Several machines weren't working when I went and most of them are in poor condition, with scratched or old screen coverings that make it hard to see the game. The entire place both inside and out is dingy and dirty. Cigarette butts everywhere on the ground outside. The staff wasn't friendly either -- at every interaction they appeared bored or annoyed. Also, don't use the elevator in the parking garage -- it lurched violently down at one point around the 3rd floor and I was worried for my safety. Do yourself a favor and go to Free Play in Richardson instead. Bigger, cleaner, & a far better value. read more

My husband and I visited Arcade 92 this past Saturday night. After 9pm it's adults only. $12 all you can play. Free parking on the garage next door. We had a fun time playing our favorite arcade games. They have a good selection of all the favorites like Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, Frogger, Donkey Kong. Plus, Terris, Tron, and Asteriods. There are several pinball machines as well as gaming consoles where you can kick back and play. A decent selection of beer and other cocktails are available at the bar and you can order food as well. It's from Foxiis next door but the staff will go pick it up and bring it over to you. We'll go back any time we want a fun night of hanging out and playing arcade games. Only came here for my kiddo. It's all about the games. Mostly retro. There are some Nintendo games set up in back with game chairs. My advise: Don't eat the food. It's sub par at best. Ordered cheese sticks which were grainy and not at all tasty. And pretzel bites. Very salty. I was also disappointed in the beer selection since that was all I was here for. This place was an EXCELLENT value for all of the great games that they have! It is a straight price for entry and you can play all day! All the games were in working order!!! Only odd thing was one "gamer" using a PS4 to watch YouTube videos. The whole eating situation is not your typical eatery, the tables are between the games so more so act as a touch down point for people while they are playing games. Visited this place yesterday and I have to say it was amazing. You pay a flat fee then enjoy freeplay on every arcade machine in the place, and there are lots. I went straight to the KI2 machine and got obliterated (just like old times) while the wife found a station setup to play Super Mario World. This place is awesome. I went to cidercade in Dallas with my youngest boy and was looking for something similar near home. This place didn't disappoint. It was easy to find. Near many eateries. Parking was a breeze with the free garage steps away. The price to enter and have unlimited play was $12 a head. There pinball games, consoles old and new, and some classic arcade games. They had a good selection alcohol that I didn't try this time. The family loved the time here. The funnest family games were the bee game, the Pac-Man game, and the dance. My wife loved Galaga. It is SO LOUD at this arcade. All 200 games were turned up on the highest volume. The overhead music was loud as well. My ears hurt like I had been at a rock concert. Additionally you can't talk with friends. My husband wants to have his team building party of 60 people here but I told him it's too loud for people to talk over. There was a couple on a date and I could see that the girl kept pointing to her ear saying "I can't hear you". The food here is really good. The pizza crust was a bit burnt but the flavors were nice. Nice throwback to the 80s and 90s with various arcade games and pinball machines. For 12.00 per person you have access to unlimited games to play until closing. They also sell alcohol, some food and beverages to enjoy while there. Nice for family, friends, couple and going solo. There is a free parking garage since very limited street parking. This post is for those considering a kids party here. I also see the owner responds to these reviews. Which is better than the response I received. I called and left a VM regarding the wanting my kiddos bday there; a few kids and questions regarding the cake and table reservations. Left my phone number. I ALSO filled out the online application to inquire about this. I took a screen shot of the confirmation that someone would reach out. Nobody did. At all. I did this 4 days in advance and heard nothing. Crickets. So I defaulted to their website which states that 'cake and similar items are allowed although a grey area with McKinney's health code'. I show up with a small party of kiddos and cake. NOW they can let me know: The cake is not allowed inside unless I pay $100 for a table reservation. Y'all. That has nothing to do with health code. And if I have known this by a response from them I could have budgeted this for the party. I don't care much for surprises though. So how my kids cake is outside- to which would have also been FINE if I had known and could have packed it in a cooler. So. Since the website is not honest or clear for anyone trying to plan their kids party: it's $100 to come inside w the outside bday sweets. The concept is pretty neat: Play the video games you did in your youth. They have a nice selection of those games. For $12 "all you can play" is not a bad deal. . Stick with that and just drinks and you'll be fine. I wish I had. They forgot to put in part of our food order, but that was a blessing in disguise. The food is mediocre at best. The place / ambiance is rather grubby, and the service is fair. If I were to go again, I'd play there, eat somewhere else and come back for more play time. Newest entry into the DFW barcade world.... gotta say, very well done concept-- the DFW market is pretty much ruled by Freeplay- but Arcade 92 has one huge factor in its favor- space. This is really nice open space barcade and the family and I spent 3 hours here tonight. Great concept mixing old school arcade cabinets with consoles old and new. The bar is also full service and there is kitchen... a lot of wins here at Arcade 92. If your comparing to Freeplay, which one likely will... space is at a premium and this similar to the Freeplay Arlington location. I have to say, really impressed with the the overall concept and the atmosphere- I really wish this guy success and hope they can make this location work- The DFW area is getting saturated with Barcades, so I hope they can keep their concept fresh (the console games set them apart from EVERYONE ELSE) I was in heaven playing Kid Icarus and Atari... so thankful that finally someone gets how to do this right. Just add an intellivision, Coleco vision, or a C64... and brother you have the "Field of Dreams" for an arcade-- DO IT. The Bar-- wth with the review throwing shade at the bartender? He was great- let my son hang out by the bar and bug him for diet cokes-- and he made a hell of a Tito's mule for me. Let's be fair and give people props for service and not make it personal. Only suggestion I can make is take as much advantage of the space as possible and put ALL THE CABINET GAMES possible as you can-- also get some drink stand by the pinball machine, had no place to put my drink when people were looking to grab a table. If retro games, pinball, joysticks, and button mashing are your thing, then Arcade92 is THE place to be. I waited all summer to give this place a shot so I was elated to find out they were finally open this winter. I'm so glad there's finally an arcade farther north as opposed to driving to Richardson or Dallas. The location is perfect and it's right next to the downtown parking garage. Upon entering, you're immediately greeted and given the rundown of how things are. For $12, everything is free to play. There's quite a bit to try! They have around 25 different games and that includes an entire row of the fighting genre and classics like PacMan. They have over a handful of pinball machines, 10 or so TVs with consoles, and (my new found favorite) Killer Queen which was very fun to play. 1 of the employees saw that we were checking out the game and took time to show us how to play and even help my team win a round! I never caught the guy's name, but he went above and beyond and that's the experience you'll get here: people making sure you're having a great time and establishing a community. The machines are all well taken care of, too. I appreciate not sticking my hand on sticky buttons or sitting on a sweat-covered stool while playing games. The cleanliness is great. The only things I didn't like were the variety in games and people's manners. I get it. It's Saturday and you want your kid to get off your back, but that doesn't excuse you from teaching them basic manners. A random kid joined our game by shoving his way to the joystick. A simple, "excuse me, can I join?" would've let me know I needed to scoot over as opposed to getting a 10 year old elbow to the hip. As for variety, they have plenty of games but after about an hour, you get bored. It would've been nice to see some more modern games (yeah I know, I'm at a RETRO arcade) like Crash Bandicoot or some other "demo'able" games from the '90s. All in all, this is a fun place, but it might be more suited for diehard retro gamers, people looking for a novelty activity with out of towners, or gamers looking to experience this at least once. **As for the smelly bartender people commented about: I didn't order anything from the bar so I wouldn't know what he smelled like, but (and I mean no offense) he looked... grungy. Like, "I woke up, put on a beanie, and went to work" grungy. Impressions to customers are everything so if you can't alter someone's BO, at least make them *look* well-kept, especially if they're handling food and drink orders. read more

The games were really fun. Galaga and Guitar Hero are always a hit! However the service and food are terrible. Nearly everything I ordered, they were "out" of. Cinnamon syrup for a drink, pretzel bites, ice cream for the brownie and a few other things they were "out" of. The bartender Sable seemed really annoyed with our party in general the whole time. Whether it was ordering drinks or food, it was like pulling nails. It seemed like they were "out" of stuff because they would rather sit on their phones texting instead of doing their job. The food we were able to get was very mediocre. Mozzarella sticks with cold marinara, terrible pepperoni pizza, overpriced drinks with next to nothing liquor. The best thing was the beer, which was warm after they changed the keg. They closed the bar really early, like and hour before closing. So we got some bottled beer before they kicked us out before they were even closed. Honestly this place was just really expensive and not much else. I wouldn't come back after this experience and would recommend people spend their money and time elsewhere. read more
