I was able to schedule a reservation through their website. I was surprised that online reservations are even an option because it seems like a casual gourmet coffee shop w/ food, but it's so much more than that! We chose to sit at a table on the patio. The hostess set the table very nicely and seated us within 5 minutes of arriving. Service was very good; the little extras were impressive! I asked for salt and pepper, and Himalayan salt and fresh group pepper were served in a tiny bowl (1/2 and 1/2), instead of shakers. Guest #1- Seasonal Yogurt Bowl- very good! Guest #2- Aged cheddar waffle, pretty good, a little dry once the over-easy egg is eaten. Guest #3- Steak and eggs, delish!! The potatoes, steak, and eggs were perfectly cooked and so very tasty. Firstly, the drinks were great, I will definitely be back for a coffee. The flavors were well balanced, not too sweet. Although it is aesthetically pleasing, we personally did not like the entrees we tried. We got the Draft Latte and the Kombucha. The avocado toast was one of our least favorite toasts we have had. The ingredients just did not harmonize as well as we hoped it would. The yogurt was not horrible but I would say there wasn't anything that made it special. I LOVE ALL THINGS ARCADE. They have bomb coffee. And bomb-er food. I have only been to the downtown location twice. This one has a move urban / city vibe. I believe they also have dinner here and wine nights. If the dinner food is as good as their brunch then it will be great! I do feel like it's a little bit pricy. But they are fresh ingredients and local and everything is pricy now. They make their own syrups and they roast their own coffees. I always try their seasonal lattes (love that they have this) and I try to get things that are only sold at that particular location. read more

My boyfriend and I came here around 10:45am. There wasn't a long line. This was our first time, I got the steak and eggs and it came with a side of roasted potatoes. I got my steak medium well & scrambled eggs. My boyfriend got the spring pea grilled cheese. My dish was amazing, the eggs were perfectly scrambled and cooked. The steak was super tasteful. I've been going to all 3 locations regularly for the past few years for coffee. Their coffee is my favorite and the breakfast at each location always been delicious. Tonight my husband and I had a date night and we had made reservations at another nearby restaurant but decided to check out the menu at arcade since we keep forgetting that they now serve dinner. We decided to stay and I have to say it far exceeded my expectations. My husband felt it was a tad pricy but not bad. We fully enjoyed everything we ordered. We ordered the carrots, the ribeye cap, and chocolate cake with spiced pear. My husband also ordered a couple of cocktails, one of them being "don't swallow the cap" which he compared to an espresso martini and said it's the best he's ever tasted. We ordered the kampachi crudo as our appetizer and this was definitely the best part of our meal. It was composed of beets, avocado crema, and blood orange. As for entrees, my table ordered the wagyu tacos, vegetarian pasta, and the rabbit pappardelle (not pictured). Our food took over 50 minutes to come out and was cold when it reached our table. The wagyu tacos didn't have much flavor and was missing a sauce or crunch. The vegetarian pasta tasted similar to an alfredo, although the presentation was pretty. The food and drinks are amazing here. Every time I go I enjoy my food so much! So thanks to the chefs. The service, however, depends on which waiter you get which is quite unfortunate considering that when you like a restaurant and want to keep returning, you expect a service to be equally as good every time. This last time that I went, I got a waiter that was a male Hispanic with a buzz cut. I saw another review about the same person so I felt inclined to share my equally as bad experience with him. He kept waiting for very long periods of time without checking up on us. He even made one snarky remark towards me when he came to pick up our plates, I had just a couple of bites of food left and he said "what you didn't like it?" in a not jokingly tone. My table and I were quite taken back by this comment and it made the atmosphere really awkward thus forward. Especially because as he was walking away from our table, he just stared at me with a very disapproved to look on his face. Besides all of this, his overall skills at customer service were not good. We didn't receive one smile, any small talk, he was just not nice. Also, he had us sitting for about 15 minutes waiting for the check, which he didn't even bring to us as someone else had to because he went on his break... It's sad that the reputation of an amazing place like this can be tainted by certain staff. I definitely recommend the food and drinks though! read more

I came here for a brunch date on a Saturday and was very satisfied with the experience. First off, expect there to be a line and have your order ready. If you have a reservation you are guaranteed a table but you have to order and pay for your food ahead of time. Service -- Ordering food is a breeze. The cashier is great at recommending plates and drinks and getting you to your table swiftly. You are also greeted with a water jug once seated. Food -- Tastes fresh and is filling. Personally, the orange maple french toast is too sweet, probably a cause of the brûléed bread, and does not taste very zesty. A stronger orange flavor will definitely counter balance the sweetness. The vegetarian sandwich, however, is surprisingly delicious. Probably one of the most intricate and well-made items on the menu in my opinion. Our compliments to the chef on that one. Drinks -- The matcha drink is pretty, but not worth it. I am a strong believer in strong matcha, but this is not the case here. I also ordered the chai tea latte and it tasted better than most I have had. You can actually taste the spices. However, I was a little disappointed that they served me it in a to-go cup even though we were eating in and the other drink was served in a cup and saucer. Parking -- Garages 1, 2, and 3 have free all day parking on the weekends in downtown Riverside. We parked in the parking lot on Orange St, it has several open spaces and is a short walk from this brunch spot. Overall, it is a great place to have a quick bite with friends. I love that it is dog friendly as we enjoyed a cute pup doing trick in the waiting area. This is an amazing spot! Way more than just a coffee house - - these people throw down incredibly yummy food, from excellent pastries to very creative dishes. I had to prosciutto + burrata tartine. And my friend had the chamomile French toast--loaded with dollops of chantilly cream. Yum!!! I am already planning my next visit here, and it's and hour's drive. Well worth it. Their Veggie Sandwich can make the meaty options green with envy. The food is a bit more upscale compared to other coffee shops, would love if they had the option to sit first and then order. They do serve alcohol and coffee, the seasonal cold brew was delicious not too sweet/bitter. Sadly I really wanted to try the crab Benedict but they ran out after ordering/paying. It's like the cafe on Canyon crest, but restaurant style! I love going to the Arcade Coffee cafe, I didn't realize going here was the same company until we saw their menu in person! Same coffee drinks offered, but this location also offers cocktails and a different selection of food options compared to their cafe counterpart! As per usual, I love their draft latte! This location tasted better than the other location, but I wonder if it's a difference in recipe? Or maybe just because it came in a glass, or perhaps even just a placebo effect, but either way the coffee was still great! I highly recommend making a reservation on their website so you don't have to worry about sitting outside (unless you prefer that kind of setting)! It seems that they prioritize the seats inside for reservations with walk-ins being a hit or miss on getting seats. My go to is the matcha latte. They make their match from a liquid concentrate which gets mixed with milk. The cool part about their drinks is that the baristas use a scale to measure how much syrup is needed. Hot drinks get served without a lid unless requested. There is almost always ample seating and this is a popular location for those who study or work remotely. read more

Went here a few weeks ago with my wife since we were looking for a cut brunch spot on the area. Upon entrance hostess was super nice and we luckily got a table fairly quickly. Our waiter was extremely helpful with the menu. Food items looked exciting and fun. We ordered the steak & eggs, not so avocado toast, and shrimp & grits. I have kind of a salty pallet so I asked for some salt and the waiter gave ne Maldon sea salt. (Which in my opinion every dish needed) FYI I hate being pretentious lol. I really wanted to love the food. The intent and technique behind the dishes were there but they fell kind of short for me. Not so avocado toast: Love the charred avocado idea which added a dimension of flavor and the grapefruit which added a burst of bittersweet citrus, but I wanted more citrus. Steak & eggs: portion was alittle small for my plate. Looking at other plates I saw larger steaks so maybe they just was unlucky. Eggs were prrfectly cooked and potatoes were just okay. Shrimp & Grits: Shrimp was cooked well and grits were buttery and yummy, but again lacking flavor. Needed heat or acid to cut the fat from grits and chili oil added (which I feel needed more heat). Ended the visit with a iced coffee and chocolate chop cookie, which I will say ended on a good note. Definitely want to come again and try the other stuff before I give my final opinion on this place. f you're familiar with the Riverside area you may recognize the name of this coffee shop/restaurant as they have their first location on Chicago Avenue near UC Riverside that I've frequented before. They also recently opened up a bakery/breakfast spot in Canyon Crest town center as well. My wife and I were taking a stroll in downtown Riverside to check out the Festival of Lights when we came across this location. I wasn't exactly looking for anything but I definitely recognized the name and decided the check it out. This shop is located in a relatively quiet space and on the ground floor of a brand new apartment building. The vibe is modern and relaxing at least when the restaurant is not in their prime time. I only stayed for a few minutes while waiting for my drink but I can definitely envision myself sitting down to read a book or get some work done on my laptop if needed. I ended up getting a small matcha latte while my wife picked up a hot tea. The matcha latte was so good and not overly sweet as some places may make them. My wife's hot tea was ok and felt a little overpriced for what it was. The drinks overall are on the pricier side but generally worth it given the location of this shop and quality. Plus, the pandemic with supply chain shortages has made everything more expensive so this may be the new norm. read more

Great coffee. Came here for a brunch meeting and they were gracious enough to let us stay a bit longer despite a busy day. Coffee was presented well and delicous, and food was okay as well. Their breakfast plate had a smaller portion, and nothing that stood out. Very plain and simple, and unfortunately not filling to another who ordered it. Their French toast is definitely a highlight of their brunch menu, but everything else was a smaller portion for a higher price, and nothing to write home about. The place has a really nice atmosphere, loved all the plants, but it is smaller, so I would not suggest coming with a bigger group. read more
