I went with my boyfriend for brunch on a Saturday and waiting around an hour to get seated (longer because they got my number down wrong), so ngl we were a little upset by the time we got seated. We were trying to be understanding since they were extremely busy at that time, but our original waiting time was only supposed to be 30 min. After getting seated, our waiter came up to our table after 10 minutes. However, she was extremely nice and very helpful and that helped lift our moods. We waiting maybe another 10 minutes for our food. The atmosphere is very chill. I think they were playing jazz music. The crowd is a mix of people studying/working and people coming in for a sit down meal. We got the arc burger, and breakfast sandwich, watermelon spritz and a matcha latte. I can honestly say the food was worth the wait! Portion size match what you pay for and cost is reasonable as well. I also ordered a custom drink to go which was recommended but the waitress. The coffee is fantastic. My favorite drink is the cardamom agave latte. I've had cardamom at several other coffee shops in the oc area but i will go out of my way for arcade. The food at the downtown location is also note worthy. I had the steak and eggs and ordered the horchata french toast for the table. Perfect balance of sweet and savory. I didn't look too closely at photos before ordering, and maybe i also skimmed the menu, but i was so pleasantly surprised to find roasted corn kernels on the french toast. Definitely unexpected but it added a unique flavor profile and texture. I definitely recommend that. Try splitting it like i did if you're not a sweet breakfast person but still want a taste. The sauce on the steak was delicious and the green peppercorns add a nice kick. Something for the savory folk. read more

They were out of green tea that day so I opted for Jasmine iced tea; and to eat I had the prosciutto + burrata tartine, which was a delicious combination of salty thin slices of prosciutto and rich creamy burrata, and toasty herbed focaccia with pesto, drizzled olive oil and tomatoes. I love this place! I usually get the Matcha Latte warmed with vanilla. SO GOOD. I wish I can just come in for the drink but the menu always has something interesting. They seem to change it often too. Today I tried the Turkish Eggs. It was delicious!! Came in on a Saturday morning at 8am before the rush. I walked in and ordered at the front counter a matcha and a French toast. The matcha was perfect and it was really cute. The French toast was served to my table, the matcha I had to pick up (my only issue was that it was full to the brim and it was hard to get it back to my table). The French toast was just the right amount of sugar, crunch and the melted butter offset the sugar. It was a really nice dish. The food and drink were exactly what I was hoping they'd be. My first time going to the new Downtown location and it was amazing. The ambiance is so upscale and unique. Very open floor and atmosphere. Extremely clean and the food was delicious. The egg bacon and cheese on a bagel should be the standard. So filling and delicious. The place does get crowded but the servers and baristas were very fast paced and also patient making sure they accurately recorded your order. Would definitely recommend! read more

Bar ni moto pop up at Arcade. The menu is very small but the quality in the food is there. Everything is tasty - I think the chips and salsa could be better. Pros: Good strong coffee. Nice atmosphere. Cons: Service not always great. Extremely inconsistent with the food! Sometimes you might get burnt food and sometimes not. Also the food is really not that great and waaayy overpriced!!! In the past, theire orange French toast were delicious and fluffy! The new hibiscus ones are gross and burnt most of the time. They used to have a fabulous grilled cheese but got rid of it, not sure why. They're "basic breakfast" (eggs, potatoes, bacon) are great... BUT they don't allow you to customize the egg, can ONLY get it scrambled. As if it costs more to cook it differently??? When I've asked about this, they said I can order an egg any way "a la carte" but that's extra like $6-7 !! And they were super rude about it too. Unfortunately the hype did not match the experience. We were greeted warmly, I'm just not a fan of ordering at the counter without having the time to sit and review the entire menu. I read that the steak n eggs is their top choice and the young man at the register said so as well. We decided to go with that breakfast and also an order of their avocado toast.. The presentation/plating was nice, but $31.99 for what was a chewy few SLICES of meat that had so much connective tissue running through it, was way over priced. The avocado toast was better, the sourdough bread was delicious, the lemon oily base that it sat on was not. The place was busy, many patrons looked happy with what they were eating, but those individuals had scones or muffins n coffee. Anyway, we will not return, the wait staff mostly stayed behind the counter and the one young lady that did come by towards the end of our visit to ask if we'd like a refill of our coffee, was only 20 minutes too late. the decor is cute and hip at this place!! they moved our seats to accommodate a bigger group - but we didn't mind so much - plus the server gave us some complimentary pastries! we felt v lucky and special the food: i got the 'not an avo toast' and my friend got a breakfast plate. the avocado toast was really tasty!! the portion was a bit small. i wish it had a little side salad or something. the presentation is great though with the crème fraîche, their signature broth (you see little bubbly liquid with the cream), avocado, and a few halves of cherry tomatoes. i finished it all without anything left on the plate. if it weren't for the complimentary pastries - i think we both would have gone hungry. breakfast plate included some soft scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes. i tried some potatoes and they were good. but again the portion was pretty small! love the presentation though. drinks: i got the gibraltar and it was perfectly prepared. the coffee is good at this place! pastries: vegan sprinkle - was a bit chalky and not that buttery. also kinda dry. it shows that it's vegan - sorry! the carrot muffin - also a little dry but the crispy muffin top was my favorite. the flavors are nice. cinnamon-y and not too sweet. would recommend this place but just get another dish to share bc you may be a little hungry still!! read more

I got the no Avo which had wonderful and light yogurt Sauce and oil to go with the fresh baked sour dough bread and avocado. My sister in law got the steak and eggs which was crazy flavorful as well. Visited Arcade last night for dinner after having breakfast there a few months ago. I tried the steak tartare, rib cap and lamb chop. All of the dishes were presented beautifully. The tartare had a beautiful golden egg yolk atop the meat. While the tartare was tasty, it was heavily oversalted which took away from the overall experience. Conversely, my rib cap was significantly under seasoned and desperately needed salt. The star of the meal was easily the lamb chop over polenta. These were cooked perfectly and went down easy. Service was great, atmosphere is pleasing, and from what I remember I enjoyed the breakfast a few months back. read more

This was my first time dining in, second time having the food. Here's a quick breakdown. The food: it's unbelievably good. I personally didn't try the coffee, but I heard it's great! I had the orange juice, and their mimosa. For food, I had the steak, eggs, and potatoes dish. It's so yummy! Great quality for sure! The price: it's unbelievable, little expensive for me Reservation necessary? No, but it gets so packed I recommend it. Service: it's a little strange so let me describe it. We had to order 100% of our food when we checked in for the reservation. This place isn't like a restaurant with waiters checking in on you. However, if you need something, they're really nice and will help you out. When we wanted to order something else, we were told we'd have to get back in line for more food. But, the workers realized it was extremely long and helped us out. They're really nice, again, it's just a little different!:) When you are sat you will be given a water jug and two glasses. Whatever else you ordered will come out shortly after. Ambiance: definitely a vibe! I saw plenty of students here studying alone and just grabbing a coffee etc. I will return. read more

We booked a reservation for 10:30am on Sunday, and once we arrived were told to review the menu and order our meals/drinks at the hostess stand outside. I'm a bit sad that this location doesn't offer a lot of their fresh bread options so you only get their sourdough, but it is still a great place to be!
