I would like to thank Akos and his colleague (Gary? Sorry, I forgot the name already), two of the engineers at Archer Hotel, for trying so hard to help me start my car which had battery issues. I had it parked in the back of the hotel thinking it was CB2 which was next door when my car engine wouldn't start. It was raining and the two gentlemen tried to jumpstart my car with their truck and also a mobile jumpstart box. They didn't have to but they went out of their way to help me and my family. Fair warning. I would not stay in this hotel on a Friday or Saturday night. There is a city ordinance which allows the clubs to play very loud music until three in the morning. I actually think they're only allowed to play until 2 AM but I can assure you it went on until 3 AM. This is loud thumping dance music in clubs which have open patios so that despite the fact that they were several hundred meters away it was like they were next-door. And I'll admit that we never called the front desk to tell them that we wanted to change rooms. That would have been very difficult to do in the middle of the night and I'm not sure where we would've gone since the hotel was full. There was a football game. Nevertheless when we brought it up the next morning when we were checking out, the hotel clerk only laughed about it. Otherwise the hotel was fine with nothing really special and situated in the middle of suburbia. You did have to park in a parking deck on the fifth floor across the street from the hotel. That was a bit creepy to come out of when we got back from our party at 12:30 at night. read more

The Archer is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. My visit started off splendidly with a complimentary upgrade which warranted me a balcony- it was huge! The room was tasteful but felt expensive and cozy at the same time. Often I find couches in suites terribly uncomfortable but this one was nice. I loved the little touches like the amazing shampoo, having a light in the shower with the rain shower head and the bed was heavenly. I love the Texan touches and the staff was so polite, helpful and courteous. I also loved coming back each night to a little treat like brownies! My only regret is not going on the pool and not being able to stay longer. It was truly a wonderful visit! Thank you! read more

The Archer is chic and fantastic! Everything was great from the location, to the readily available bottles of Fiji water, to the very helpful staff. The rooms are contemporary with plenty of storage, plenty of device charger plugs-ins, and very nice finishes. The hotel is very clean and the beds slept well. We had a girls weekend trip for my cousins retirement and what a beautiful place to stay for the weekend! The valet service was awesome and the check in was easy and the rooms were beautiful. The bed was so comfy! Large shower and just so nice and roomy! We enjoyed some appetizers and drinks in the bar and the staff was super friendly and even took our picture for us! I have never felt so valued and appreciated as a guest, ever. From the moment I got here (2 am, mind you!) until now, I have been waited on nearly hand and foot. The Archer staff has made consistent efforts to make my stay incredible--from hand-delivering a microwave and mini fridge to my room, to arranging shuttles, to treating me to a massive bowl of the freshest berries and fruits I've ever tasted. We stayed here for the weekend, absolutely beautiful hotel, great location in Northern the domain area. The staff was very friendly, and the room with balcony was gorgeous. We used valet the 1st night, and then parked at the free parking at Nordstroms 3flr covered parking second night. We ate at their restaurant Second for breakfast, it was delicious. Dozens of really good restaurants within very short walking distance. We will be back. read more

LOVED THIS HOTEL. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and I would highly recommend. I was actually sad to leave because it was that great. First, and I didn't totally process this when booking (I'm from the northeast and this was my first trip to ATX), the Archer is located in The Domain, a new development on the north side of the city that has TONS of shops, restaurants, apartments, a Whole Foods, etc. It's like a whole other world. So, if you're looking for a hotel within walking distance of Sixth Street, South Congress, etc., choose something else. If you have access to a car, this is your spot. The Archer opened on August 29, 2016, so we stayed there about six months into its existence. Every hotel staff member we encountered was exceptionally friendly, including John at the front desk and Joel, who helped us with our bags and explained the amenities in our room. Among them... free wifi, free slippers (that you can take home), bathrobes, Malin+Goetz bath products, complimentary bottles of water and salted caramels, umbrellas from NYC's MoMA, a safe, a Nespresso machine, a mini bar with instructions to make Austin-themed drinks. Some of those things are standard but some are special, and it's clear that the Archer management is very focused on customer experience and little touches to make your stay excellent. I'm allergic to down pillows and asked if they had anything alternative, and they promptly brought two hypoallergenic pillows to the room. There's a nice pool and outdoor bar area that was quiet when we were there (due to poor weather), but would be very pleasant in good weather. There's also an incredible deck on the second floor at the front of the hotel that overlooks a street with Sprinkles Cupcakes and another restaurant. The deck has a bar, tons of seating, and a fire pit. As others have mentioned, the Archer's parking set-up isn't ideal -- either you pay $22/night for valet, or you park for free in the spots designated for Archer guests on the third floor of the next door parking lot. We did the latter and thought it was totally fine. Yes, a bit of a longer walk to get the car, but the lot was safe and well-lit. Can't wait to recommend this hotel to friends and hopefully will get to return soon! read more

The hotel staff seems to be clueless, as if they have no idea what..."customer service" is. Then the manager seems to in his own little rich world, when i complained about the noise from the other room, he simply brushed it off as if he could care less. Later to find out it was a family member, was looking forward to Chef David Bull's food. But it was a let down, he needs to reinvent his-self and his food. The hotel staff were excellent and the valet parking personnel were helpful and courteous. The pool was clean and a great gym. This hotel is a five star hotel in my book. I enjoyed my stay at the Archer Hotel. It's located in the Domain Northside, which is full of places to eat and shop. I have stayed at two other hotels in the Domain, but this has to be my favorite so far. This place costed a little bit more, but was worth it. I booked my room with a Texas resident discount and got a $20 hotel credit, which was used to purchase a fancy box of Maggie Louise gourmet chocolates. The decor is very luxe and grand- similar to Z Gallerie. The service was wonderful. They have chocolates instead of mints at the check-in desk. The parking kind of sucked b/c it was valet or self parking at the garage next to Nordstrom. The gym is fully equipped with a towel and water at each machine. We enjoyed handmade caramels and Fiji water in the room at arrival and brownies at night. I'm usually hesitant about using hotel mugs, but couldn't resist using the Nespresso machine. They also offer tea from Zhi Tea, which is a local brand. Cute slippers with mustache and lips were complimentary and a great souvenir to take home. The beds were super lofty. They offer Malin and Goetz toiletries. The WiFi was excellent. They don't offer complimentary breakfast, which is what the place I used to stay at offered. Overall, I'm a fan of this hotel and can't wait to go back and stay there again. read more

Y'all. Literally one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. And the service was OUTSTANDING. We recently celebrated our one year wedding anniversary with a little getaway to Austin and stayed at the Archer. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like the most important guests. Valet was fast and easy (and reasonably priced) and the restaurant was delicious and also reasonably priced! The suite we got was impeccable and clean and after learning it was our anniversary, they sent up complimentary champagne with a sweet note! We called for extra towels at one point because we had slept in and had not had housekeeping come yet and they were sent up within 5 minutes. Wow, wow, wow. Haven't even stayed yet and I'm disappointed :-( Trying to book for my wedding night since our wedding reception is a block over at Rock Rose Hall. The Archer was literally the next natural choice to spend the night and next day before our honeymoon. I called to figure out why all the rooms are at a prepaid only option online and get some clarity and understanding. The girl that answered (Jess...I do believe) hastily transferred me to reservations without even answering my question or telling me why I'm being transferred. Next I spoke to Ali, who told me I would get a Texas residents staycation rate and then said "oh nevermind...it's all booked". He says he checks a few other things but there's nothing more he can do for me still not explaining how and why I can see reservations online but can't book them the way I want. "He said well sorry nothing I can do." And then he suggests the Aloft or the Westin . If I wanted to stay at Aloft or the Westin or ANYWHERE else I would have called them from the beginning. I know I'm under a lot of stress planning a wedding and I know I'm not being a crazy bridezilla but I don't appreciate being dismissed because I don't want to commit to a $600 room over 5 months out and I haven't booked a honeymoon departure date yet. I just was seeking flexibility and you guys really let me down. Still a beautiful hotel and would have made for a beautiful wedding night...I was even WANTING to pay in spite of but I can't take being dismissed and treated like I'm being ridiculous for asking questions. :-( read more

Don't stay in room 701 which is on the south side of the building unless you don't want bother going to sleep until after the clubs close at 2 AM even during the week. Three sleepless nights make the Archer the number one hotel I will avoid ever visiting again. read more

They are what I believe this hotels biggest asset!!! The mini bar and the nespresso coffee maker was exactly what the doctor ordered :). The location in The Domain was a great location for all the available restaurants within walking distance and downtown was within 15 minutes away. My only complaint is you have only valet parking or park across the street on the 3rd level of Nordstrom. My husband and I stayed at this hotel for our 10/13 wedding weekend, and I can't say enough amazing things about the Archer. First off, it's a beautiful property. We splurged on the King Balcony suite and it was worth every penny. The balcony had a fireplace so it was a great place to enjoy a relaxing drink in the evening, and the suite had a bathtub that all other tubs will be compared to for the rest of my life. Second Bar + Kitchen has been a favorite restaurant of ours for years, and the new location at the Archer as well as the room service was fantastic. And above all, the staff was wonderful. Every person we interacted with was so great with helping us have the most wonderful weekend we could. Even though we live in Austin we'll definitely be visiting the Archer for staycations in the future. read more

Our recent stay at the Archer Hotel was very lovely! The hotel was very modern and smelled very good. Our room was smaller than we expected but, the shower totally made up for it! The shower was one of the best parts!! It was big, and the shower head was amazing... even better is there were two shower heads! I felt like it was spa quality. Now, the next best thing was they had complementary his and her slippers. Talk about romantic! I guess the only down side to our stay was the pool was not heated, but we were told it would be. It was pretty chilly the night we stayed. Also, the fireplace on the second floor patio was not lit... kind of a bummer. Overall, the service was great! Friendly staff! Great cocktails at the hotel bar. I recommend this hotel. It's also a conviertan location with many shops and restaurants nearby! Check it out! read more

There is a music club also in the domain. It is way too close to the Archer. Until 2am u can hear the pounding of music, seriously like a frat party. It also brings in a different crowd than the hotel use to have. There are tons of drunk people in the lobby, on elevators, on the floors. Most of them are dressed like sex workers, not sure if they are working or if they are actual guests of the hotel. Some people were partially topless. There was a security incident on our floor where somebody had gotten into someone's room and stolen things. Our room was filthy and smelled. We changed rooms and the person assisting us with this, let 2 young girls on our elevator. They were not wearing masks, only wearing nighties. There was no social distancing, we did not want them on the elevator with us. But the hotel employee allowed it and kept talking with them. This was against the hotel policy posted. The entire experience was awful. read more

We have stayed here several times but I must say - last night's stay was perfect. It was our anniversary (at 12:00 am that is) and we couldn't have been happier with the room and service. We stayed in a King suite that had a balcony with a fireplace, a four-poster canopy bed and a standing soaking tub. After going to a restaurant nearby for lunch we went to the room and didn't want to leave! We had a wonderful cheese and fruit plate with very nice but not super expensive wine and then watched our team play football on the NFL channel. The room was seriously THAT nice that we chose staying in until after the game instead of going out! (Also - premium channels, otherwise we would have had to go to a bar to watch ) The small amenities in the room such as a throw blanket, slippers, a small box of chocolates and top shelf bath products really made this hotel stand out. With an injured knee and an out of town husband, I had just about had enough of staying at home and decided to take myself on a one night staycation for some R&R. A colleague recommended the Archer, and when I called to reserve, they told me about the Texas discount and upgraded me to an ADA balcony room so I could get around. When I arrived the handicapped parking was handled, gratis, by the valet so I didn't have to worry about parking and walking a long way. The reception area was stunning, with a glamorous chandelier and grand staircase, and framed by the Second Bar & Kitchen restaurant. My room was beautifully designed. Big and spacious with a tub that looked like a piece of art ( next time, darn you knee injury), beautiful light fixtures, a 4 post bed, a rainwater shower, tons of storage and a beautiful balcony. I spent my time taking a gazillion showers, watching all the cable, and swimming in the beautiful pool on the second floor. The Archer focused on little details. Super friendly staff, welcome notes, dessert in the evening ( they got a special allergy friendly treat I could eat!), a driver that would take you in a 3 mile vicinity, and luxurious bath products. What a great find in North Austin. When rooms downtown were going for $600/night and pickings were scarce, we searched for hotels and took a chance in this new hotel. Super convenient to Domain shopping and restaurant row, Viva spa around the corner, live music a couple of times per week right out the front door - this place is in the middle of it all. The hotel is new, modern, spacious, great workout room, small but super cool pool area. The mini bar isn't overdone, but has just the right things for a quick snack - or drink! The staff is very helpful and the amenities are superb. Can't miss with this hotel! read more

Loving the Archer. The hotel is beautiful, well appointed and they take care of everything. I made a comment about the possibility of the hair product giving me an allergic reaction and they restocked the room with a different brand. Every night , we enjoyed little treats with the turn down service. The Archer is located in a new outdoor shopping/restaurants area called the Domain. Easy walk to a a number of trendy and high end stores. No scratchy sheets, towels are fluffy, plenty of outlets to power all your devices. Free WiFi. Great new boutique brand hotel in the domain. We used the Archer last week for our annual company meeting and it was a great location and great value. I really enjoyed the great atmosphere and ambiance of the lobby, restaurant and meeting rooms. The guest room was spacious and well appointed, including the seemingly extinct fully stocked mini bar. The only thing I can nit-pick, which prevented a 5 star review was the underwhelming water pressure in the otherwise luxurious shower. Customer service was outstanding from the front desk to the meeting coordinators to the prompt and courteous valet staff. Breakfast and lunch buffet service was delicious and well presented each day. Highly recommended and I would definitely stay here again! read more
