They took almost 3 hours to do the oil change and when the guy went to ring me up I told him I had a coupon and he got angry and threw my keys across the desk and threw the paperwork he had already printed out in the trash. I guess he was so upset that he had to reprint my paperwork because I had a coupon. Very unprofessional and rude behavior! His co-workers just looked on as if this is normal for him. So I've dealt with this location a total of 3 times so far and I'm sure I'll return for my future times to come. I purchased my car here in 2018 and have been back twice since, for oil changes/tire rotation. During my interactions at Archer Kia, I've had nothing but positive experiences. I can't remember the length of the first time I got an oil change but just last week, I made a 8:30a appt for a Wednesday morning. I was told it'd be about 2-3 hours because of my oil change, tire rotation, and a recall on my computer (or something like that). PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE! They are liars and thieves. This is the first time I actually wish I could leave zero stars. My car is still under warranty and I went today to get the brakes checked out. I knew brake pads are not covered but worried it was something more serious. Gary said it would be $104! I happily signed the agreement to pay. Then 3 hours later, he called to tell me I would be paying $750!!! I was literally in tears and told him to not do anything, I'm coming to pick up my car. He "reminded" me I'd still need to pay $104 just for them looking at it!! This is while it's under warranty?! What the hell is a warranty for? I'm still in tears because never in a million years did I think there was absolutely any possibility they'd try to charge me almost $1,000 after telling me that I'd be paying $104! I bought my car in 2018.. the dealership sales man I had lied to me multiple times and was condescending and rude to the new salesman that had just joined. He basically took over the sale and treated the new sales man like his little assistant and took credit for the sale on paper. He told me he was going to get the car I wanted from another dealership the day before I agreed to come in because they didn't have the exact color/model I wanted at their dealership. I fell for this because it was my first experience buying a car... lol the day of the sale, I asked him if he had gotten the car yet and he said that he was on his way to pick it up. I showed up to the dealership hours later and it turns out he never even tried to get the car. He wanted me to sign some papers promising I'd buy the car before he ordering the car from the other dealer to be delivered to their dealership. I obviously didnt sign because I wasn't going to sign for a car I hadn't even seen in person. I ended up going for a newer year/model of the car that was available at their dealership just to get it over with because I felt like I had already wasted too much time. They gave it to me at a decent price but the lies it took to get it there were completely unprofessional and showed poor work ethics. I also couldn't stand how he was treating the new sales man. Their service department is not my favorite either. I only go if I have to. They've also lied to me about my tire needing to be replaced. Instead of getting my tire replaced there, I took it to discount tires and they fixed my tire for free and I haven't had any issues since and it's been over a year. I was misinformed by sales person in regards to purchasing a vehicle today I was ready to walk in and purchase a vehicle using the down payment from my total loss claim the manager on duty advised the sales rep that they would be able to assist with my situation. When I walk to the desk, all of the information I was given changed. It went from them being able to except my down payment. Once my check was received to they need the money today. I have purchased my 2021 Kia from this location and payments were in good standing aside from the missed payment due to the accident and the insurance company totaling out my vehicle. I recently was in a wreck and my 9 month old new car was totaled. It was the worst time for this because apparently the car shortage is terrible right now, and it was nearly impossible to find a good car available and fairly priced at that. Almost all other dealerships around and near Houston just wanted to overcharge me and give me the runaround but JOSE at archer Kia went the extra step for me and made the entire process easy in literally less than 4 hours from my first conversation with him, after a stressful several-days long search. He was responsive and made me feel like I was his only customer and top priority, getting me a fair deal and a car that was honestly MUCH nicer than I expected considering the shortage situation and jacked up prices everywhere. Thank you Jose for being the light at the end of the tunnel during an awful situation for me! When I got to the dealership he spent time going over everything with me, different options, even offering his own advice and experience, and never once was pressured into paying for something I didn't need or want, which is hard to come by and refreshing. The sales manager was also wonderful and very friendly and quick, the whole process at the dealership lasted maybe an hour. I've only been to this Kia dealership ONCE FOR AN OIL CHANGE and last week I started receiving "customer survey calls" from a random california # (805)219-6693 The girl on the phone said her company was given my number by Archer Kia and then her firt question was "Is your car running ok after your recent service visit?" WHAT?! That is not a customer survey question. So I called Archer Kia who proceeded to tell me they had no affiliation with whoever called me.... LIES Today I had a call again from the California # so I told her that Archer claimed to have no idea about her company and told her I would be notifying Archer and the local authorities about the scam she was playing a part of. A few hours later around 5:00pm today 5/14/18, I get a voicemail from the Kia Archer sales manager Ryan Stanford (281)530-7500 saying he was the one having people call me and he wanted to SELL ME A CAR. My current car is in perfect condition, with plenty of years and miles left for it's warranty. There is no reason for this dealership to be calling me to try to sell me a car when I went in for my oil change, which by the way is to keep my warranty valid. This dealership gave my number out, lied about it, and then turned around and bothered me more. I did not give Ryan Stanford my phone # and never have I had a Kia dealership pass out my # like Archer Kia has been doing. Honestly, if I could give zero stars, I would. My brother and I dropped his car off to the service department on Oct 31, 2023. At that time, we were told that it would be 1-2 weeks before the car could be looked at and that the diagnostic would cost $125 - $150. As of today, they still have the car, the diagnostic has not been completed, AND Gary has now changed the cost of the diagnostic (that is not complete) to $350. Every time we call, they are going tit for tat with us about when the car will be fixed or even looked at. They have had the car for almost a month now. This has significantly impacted my brother, as he is new to Houston. The customer service has been terrible and Gary is passive aggressive and rude. He continues to tell us that he has only had the car for two weeks, which is simply not the truth. They have never called once. The only updates that we have gotten has been because we called to check. Archer Kia, you should do better. read more

I sent my Kia Optima for the recall that's going on 7/29/22 they told me my engine locked up and that it would take up too two months to get it fixed. I called last week for an update they told me the same thing call back in two months. So I got a call 8/24 with a whole different story that my belt, starter and battery where broken and that I don't need to change my engine right now. The dealer who sold it their mechanic checked it and Kia dealer checked it and both told me it was the engine. If that was the problem why I was told differently since the beginning. I wasted four hours at this dealership on this past Saturday, December 21st 2019. The sales manager at this place obviously thinks it's 1989. They still playing the bait and switch game. Consumers are way more educated and business savvy today. Use carvana or anything else than going in this place. The decor is straight from the 1980s, so are their business practices. The Kia Stinger is a piece of crap also. I test drove one I felt every bump on the road. Every time I come here the customer service get worst and worst . I came in there was no one there so I'm thinking I would be in and out for my service . I'm sitting there waiting and I notice people that come in after are leaving before me . After two hours I ask the front desk about the status of my car and they informed me they can find the technician Javier that took my car . I should have done my own research on the dealership before going. The Dealer has a F rating with the BBB and also tons of negative reviews online. I went to the dealer and was told the car I wanted that was listed for sale for 26490msrp would only be sold to me if I waited 6 hours for them to do dealership add on's most of which had no value. The add on package was 3600 and would not sale it without. I asked them to save there time and not add the items and just charge me the MSRP. They would not! I was told they have people every day offering 2000 above msrp and the add on package and that he didn't have to sell it to me with out the addon package. I pointed out also that the trade in that they were offering for my car was 2000 less than a carmax offer to buy. I was treated very poorly and I asked if I was normal not to have good customer service and to be rude two sales managers where treating me this way. I was even offered a business card so I could spell his name right when I left a bad review and stated "I don't kiss anyone's ass you get the deal I give you and if you don't like it then leave. I was ready to pay cash for the car or use KIA finance if I got a better deal doing so. After being treated as such I think I will buy another brand of car. The sales man was nice and did his job but management lost the sale for the car just trying his best to make a living. You take an appointment and once you go there to drop the vehicle, even for a small issue they would say leave the car for few days as they are running late. I tried to drop my car in 2015 for a small issue, they want to keep it for 4 days and the issue is resolved by local auto shop in an hour. I went today and adviser asking to leave the car for 3 days for diagnosis, don't know when the repair would be done. It is not even worth driving 20 miles for this service. Save some time and money by going to your local mechanic. read more

HORRIBLE - STAY AWAY We drove 2-1/2 hours to this dealership across state lines after calling first and speaking with a sales manager to triple check that the pre-owned inventory we saw online was available and accurate. To get there and only have one vehicle that met our criteria. But even on that one vehicle they were off by 100 THOUSAND MILES, and the sales rep blamed it on clerical error. The manager never even came to speak to us face to face. They offered no concession or price adjustment due to the error. This review concerns the service department only. My 2020 Soul EX emits a loud popping sound occasionally. From what I've read, the noise emanates from the heat shield on the catalytic converter. It's been a known issue for a few years, over several models with similar systems. I made an appointment, arrived a bit early, and was informed by the service adviser that the vehicle would likely have to be looked at by the diagnostics team. No problem ... except that, (1) they're running three days behind, (2) they don't take appointments, (3) they'd have to keep the car until the problem could be duplicated ("maybe a week or longer"), and (4) they don't provide a loaner. This is a brand-new Soul with just over 1500 miles. I'd have to leave it sitting at the dealership for at least three days before they'd even get around to it. Then, depending on how long it takes to identify the issue, perhaps another week. So what do I use for a car in the meantime? I called another Kia dealer, and was advised that they cold look at the vehicle tomorrow, and that they've had similar issues recently. We'll be looking at another Soul for a grandchild's graduation gift. It certainly won't be at Archer. read more

The girl on the phone clearly doesn't want anyone's business because she said I should come by next week and just drop it off. I asked to make an appointment so I wouldn't be waiting around all day and she suggested that I not do that. I finally bought myself a new car. It feels like a rite of passage that I'm having way too late in life - but I'm glad I did. I love my Kia Soul. My salesman Geoff has been nothing helpful. Even before I came in, he was answering my questions and helping me make the right decision. Test drive, papework - all went smoothly. The finance guy - Rod - was also great. Something you need to consider (that I didn't) when buying are the service hours. Archer service apparently doesn't do weekends or late evenings. If you work an 8 to 5, you have very few options. They will shuttle you to work if it's close by, but, can't pick you up. No loaner. Luckily I work close by and was able to get a co-worker to drop me back off. read more

Horrible service department got 4 brand new tires back in November had to argue over and over with Gary about my 4 rims being scratched by their machine. He insisted it wasn't their machine that most likely it was a car wash machine. Finally got all 4 of my rims fixed after speaking with the dealership manager. But apparently they could care less about my complaint because seems like they never fixed the machine that caused the problem. Went back today since I have warranty on my tires and needed to fix my tire since I had a nail and back too square one my rim got scratches again from them removing my tire! Just plain ridiculous really wanted to give this service department another try, but just got disappointed again not to mention they left my driver seat cover soaked in sweat or God knows what. read more

Brought my vehicle in for recall work and asked about brake light, I made appointment online and even put in for oil change. later in the day recall was fixed but no oil change, and the reason the brake light was on because brake fluid was low and service manager said my front brakes needed to be changed, front 600.00 and to shut off brake light they needed to clean the brake fluid 200.00 all with a car with 60000 miles I added a bottle of brake fluid and the light went out 4.00 fix. I didn't buy my car here but it's the closest dealership to my job so I came for service. I needed a bunch of things done and discussed them with Bo(?) when I dropped the car off. It took a while for the shuttle driver to get back so I ended up being a bit late to work, but at least they offer the service. Bo called later in the day to let me know what all had been done and how much everything was. No random up-selling or pressure. Everything worked out fine and I would bring my car back for bigger service items again; small things like regular oil changes are too expensive here. read more

Service side is a joke - i came in for warranty work, AC and a transmission noise. on the tech notes, it said freon was low, but the service advisor said it was devoid and they wanted to charge me 550 plus tax just to fill the ac with freon and dye so that i can test it for a month to see where it leaked out from - the only explanation they gave me was "someone took your freon out" - they also said they did not hear the transmission noise - so i had to pay 125 for diagnosis just to get my car back - as soon as i drive away while on their lot i hear the loud transmission noise - i take my car to another dealership a few days later and they tell me whomever had it last put my ac system on a purge mode - and that i was low on freon by about 20% - so they simply pushed a button and topped it off, and now the ac is solid again - they did not charge me a dime. Archer service is a complete ripoff and they will lie to you - the service manager himself said he did not want my business - i will never come here again and i HIGHLY recommend no one else bring their car for any type of service because the techs are clueless and the service advisor and manager are useless and will flat out lie to your face. i also filed a complaint with the BBB. i will also contact KIA corporate. do yourself a favor and stay away from this disgraceful service center - i should have known when i first pulled in the bad shape of their service side.... read more

I called the day before I planned to shop and I spoke to Carl P. at the dealership. He seemed very helpful and he called me the morning I planned to buy and confirmed our meeting time. Once I arrived, he did seem a bit distracted but it was the last day of the month so, It was to be expected. Made my deal online, but there were two identical vans I was looking at, I let the sales person know that I had a budget and that was what I was willing to pay. The sales person took the deal to the sales manage (grey hair, grey beard, very rude man) and he agreed and requested I come in at that point and just make the decision on which van I wanted. I once again explained I was very busy and I had a budget and there would be no since in me coming into the dealership unless we were in agreement! I get there make my decision and GUESS WHAT NOW THE PRICE IS $1800 MORE THAN MY BUDGET. I started talking to the sales manager, then he put his hand in my face and told me "oh you know everything" and walked away as soon as I didn't agree to pay more. Very unprofessional manager! I went to the part department to pick up a brake light for my sons car. The service advisor asked me for year, model and I gave the information to him. He asked me which brake light I need because there were 3. I said the brake light "light comes on when you push the break". He said there are 3 and tells me I need to bring the car in. WTH!!!! I went to Auto Zone and asked a sales representative for a brake light and gave him the information. He went to the shelf, picked one up and said "this will do"-works perfect!!! Went in dealership last week looking for a inexpensive older model car to off set miles on my BMW! Salesman Mike was so nice to start off. Said he was internet manager and was not going to go back in forth on price. He showed me a greet red Toyota Corolla which was very nice for the year and miles. He gave me one price then went to talk to sales manager and gave price 2,000 more than we talked about. I said no wait a minutes, he had the nerve to say "this is the car business" my husband and I went completely off" when they found out we have USAA insurance and had our own financing, they attitude completely changed. They honored the price of the Sorento I had researched online, gave me exactly what I wanted on my trade-in, and didn't manipulate the deal with hidden add-ons and fees. Everything was above-board, clear and transparent. Besides Cory, the sales manager on duty was also friendly and easy to work with, as was the finance guy, Rod. I stopped by just to take a look at a Kia Stinger, as I was not decided between 2 autos. The stinger being one of them. Jose Sorto was my rep. Great conversation hit it off pretty quick. Not pushy at all. My credit is not the best so I wasn't expecting a lot if I had to be honest. Somehow Jose worked everything out for me, not as pushy as I expected him to be which is great as I would have been turned off. Anyway long story short I went with a 3 year lease on a Stinger GT1 recommended by Jose , smooth, easy, and amazing process. I will def either release or purchase once my 3 years are up and hope to run across Jose once again to assist me in the process. read more
