My wife and I went to Archer to have manufacturer updates on our KIA which we purchased from them. While we were there we inquired if they would be interested in purchasing the car and the Used Car Manager, Jay Hoth, made us an offer. We thought about it and decided to sell the car. I called Mr. Hoth and made an appointment for the next morning. When I arrived he was not there but he had told me anyone could help us so I spoke to another associate. Then the trouble began. The associate was looking unbelieving at the offer, spent a minute looking at the car, then ten minutes in the back somewhere and came out and said there was no way they could pay what Mr. Hoth said, even though he had confirmed it when I called. I was very angry at the bait and switch tactics so we left with the car. When I got home I wrote a note and called Mr. Hoth- no answer. I also left a comment on the web site (customer service)- no answer. Needless to say we will not be back and would advise others to look for a more reputable dealer. read more

This is the worst place ever, I have a brand new Kia Optima 2018 with warranty and they're charging me $104 for an diagnostic test to figure out what's wrong with the vehicle that's brand new and under 60,000 miles with warranty. Kia roadside assistance towed my car at 8:00am Monday morning , it arrive at Kia at 8:30. It is Wednesday evening and my car hasn't been touch. I've called everyday and I've talked to Gary and whoever else about my car. There saying they are a day and half behind on diagnostics tf!! They have no loaner cars and they have the nerve to get an attitude when you call n ask about your car that's been sitting there since Monday morning. If your going to have someone car for a whole week because Kia is behind in service work then they need to supply loaner cars , so people can continue going on by there livelihood. Now it's taking a whole week for diagnostic test, how long is it going to take to fix the issue omg, fuxking ridiculous!! read more

I called this dealership looking for a car for my father. I worked out all the details over the phone and we agreed upon a price. I went over the price with him a couple of times just to make sure it was the price and there were no gimmicks. Once we got there the car looked great and we sat down to sign the paperwork. We are about to sign when the finance guy tells us that the price is $80 higher per month. The manager came in and then the owner came to speak to us. They said, "No, the price we gave you was a trade in price", I specifically made sure over the phone that the price was the price with no trade in. They would not even budge on the price knowing they had fooled us to come in and try a bait and switch. Very unprofessional. We walked out and got a car from Nissan, a better deal anyway. read more

My car was taken in about a month ago due to the engine recalls. Bo was friendly. When i got in my car i noticed the driver side rear mirror panel was off. I went back to address it to Bo. He told me that it was not working when it was brought to him and that it was clicking. Also that we have no factory warranty. She went to go talk to RYAN STANFORD about the pricing and then called us over to discuss. My brother started negotiating the price and he mentioned how we owns an Audi and how much we got it for since it was cheaper than what he was asking for, and Ryan Stanford asked him "you own a Audi from Sugarland?!" Feelings of regret overtake me!! After a year and a half of owning my Kia Optima my transmission is slipping and for some reason the low tire pressure light won't go off (even though my tire pressure has been checked). I tried to take advantage of the "warranty" by calling this dealerships service dept. I was told that it would take up to THREE DAYS just to diagnose my car!!! No telling how long it would take to fix my car. I expressed my concern to whomever the guy was who answered the service dept phone and he said well "there are a lot of people in Houston ". I AGREE !!APPARENTLY there are a lot of broke down KIAS and this dealership is not capable of servicing cars in a timely manner or even caring for that matter. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. I wish there were an option for zero stars. I moved to Houston recently and got a flat tire - I needed to schedule an appointment as soon as possible, and Archer Kia was the only dealer with any time slots available. Now I know why.. I am assuming the person that helped me with my paperwork was Gary, as that's who's name is on the receipt I received at the end of my visit. Gary seemed helpful at the time, but in hindsight, screwed me over. I didn't have my Road & Tire Warranty Contract with me, so I asked Gary if this would show up in their records if he searched for VIN number. He came back a few minutes later and told me that I didn't have the warranty -- if I did have it, it would have shown up in his system. He was very clear in saying that his system would show it if I had purchased it. I told him I wanted to double check with the dealership that I purchased my car from (Moritz Kia), just to confirm. He was fine with that and told me he'd go ahead and start working on my tire so I wouldn't have to wait around for too long. Sounded great (at the time). Within five minutes, I'd spoken to Moritz Kia and they confirmed that I DID have the warranty - and no, it would NOT appear in Gary's search results because each dealership uses a different warranty company. I can only assume that Gary knew this information, despite what he told me. Kia Moritz told me to have Gary call a number and they would process the claim. When Gary finally came back, I tried to give him the number to call... at which point he told me that it was 'too late' for him to call because they had started the work without getting pre approval... and that it was now MY responsibility to pay for the tire ($200+) and deal with getting it reimbursed. Gary refused to call the number I was giving him. I then returned home and called the number ... only to find out that the warranty may not be valid in this situation because Archer Kia didn't call them to verify that they were doing the work (at the time the work was being performed). I am now dealing with the warranty representatives trying to get my claim processed and it has been a complete pain. Still not sure if I'll get refunded - all because Gary refused to call the number while I was there. To make things even worse, when I opened my trunk the next day, I realized that they didn't put my donut tire underneath my trunk. They just set it on top and left it for me to deal with. Talk about AWFUL customer service. I would never recommend this dealer to anyone. I've been to Fredy Kia and it was great! I would HIGHLY recommend Fredy Kia over Archer Kia. read more

Sooo where do I start... I work from state to state but my car was transferred from Maryland to Texas. The car needed an oil change so I had my grandmother take it to get required maintenance. She went to the nearest KIA in Sugarland which was Archer as I did in the past. I just simply forgot to tell her to go to ANY other KIA than Archer. I previously came to Archer back in Feb/March and the mechanics failed to tell me my battery was bad after I requested them to test it over and over. At that point my battery was still covered under warranty and after taking it to Cowboy KIA it was short over the mileage on warranty. Cowboy KIA helped by still honoring and making sure the work was done for a recall that they were suppose to do. They also failed to tell me that my brakes were bad and near riding my rotors. Maintenance CLAIMED to have done an inspection and left a copy in my glove box which I have to this day never found. I also found it kind of odd that I was told that giving a positive yelp review would grant me a free oil change (Red Flag). Fast forward today.... My grandmother takes the car in for an oil change. They immediately asked her if the car has had a 60000 mile engine check and I told her to tell them no but I already had one scheduled (I was on the phone throughout the conversation). She is the only one there and was told the wait time was an hour and fifteen minutes. WTH I do oil changes on helicopters faster than that. She waited two hours to get it done but an hour after waiting they brought her the air filter along with the engine filter telling her it was dirty. Mind you these are services done in the engine check I already had scheduled. Being grandma she still bought the filters even though its already included in the $300 for the 60000 engine check. I feel like they took advantage of my grandmother after they were told the service was not wanted. Even though part of this is my fault for not warning her of going to this KIA, I am livid. Where was the such concern when the car wasn't starting due to the bad battery or when my brakes were on the rotor?! Buying the car from Bill Baisley KIA in Maryland was an awesome experience. Fast forward two years the sales guy still calls and ask about the car and I have build a relationship with them leading to buy two other KIAs for family members from them within the two years. KIAs are good affordable cars! I don't expect BMW or Audi customer service going into Archer KIA but I was looking for the comfort of knowing the car would be taken care of. For now on, the car will go to Cowboy KIA in Conroe while in Texas. read more

Service is horrible here!! I came only for an oil change and the guy that is helping me with my car tells me it needs new brake pads and a transmission flush. So I go ahead and get it done. After 7 hours of waiting the mechanic tells me that he damaged my rotters from him changing the break pads. That if he can't fix it I will need new rotters!!! I've never had this happened to me at any other Kia dealership. I will never come back here again. And I will never recommend any person to bring there vehicle here for service. read more

I went there to buy a used car and the salesman did a great job. It was over 100 outside and he kept letting us test drive car after car. He then showed us a really nice new car but I said no because we couldn't afford a new car. He said he'd make us a deal, so I let him run the numbers on the new car. Sure enough, the new car was a crazy cheap deal, so we ended up with the new car! All told we were at the dealership for 6 hours and I can say that the salesman and finance folks were easy to work with and did a great job. I recently bought a Kia optima from Archer and prior to leaving dealership I noticed a small scratch on the hood. The sales manager Ryan told me not to worry and to bring it back at my convenience and he would put me in a loaner and get the scratch taken care of. I called about 30 days later to schedule a time and Ryan was more than accommodating . He told me the car would be in the body shop for 1 day, when I called the next day to see if I could pick up, he let me know that he wasn't satisfied with the result and wanted to ensure everything was perfect for me. When I went to pick my car up, it was just perfect. Thank you Ryan for an excellent customer experience! After 2 years and multiple trips to Archer Kia for several repairs to my used car I purchased, I find myself again waiting for a poor service department and very poor and non-communicative service manager. My vehicle has been with Archer Kia for over a week now and they still do not the problem. Checking today, a week after turning over the keys to their service manager, I was told that he was taking the day off and that the service department could not give me any information as to the status of my repairs and when I might have the vehicle back. It seems there are several reviews complaining about the service department at Archer Kia. I wonder why something has not been done to correct such poor service. Archer kia service center and techs are a joke. My 2012 kia optima had a engine failure that had been under recall since the car was produced. When I dropped it off I was told by service advisor that it would be 3 weeks at the most for engine replacement. Long story short they had my car for almost 5 months and in that whole time I never once received a call from them for a explanation or update. I had to continually call to find out anything only to be lied to with promises that they would keep me informed. Then I finally get my car back and I have electrical and ac problems I never had and get told it couldn't possibly be caused by the motor install. Come to find out from a independent electrical specialist that only thing that makes sense is my car was left outside in the rain with hood off after motor was pulled getting water in electrical connections causing my problems. Kia denied everything would not let me see where my car was stored and the repairs cost over 2 thousand dollars. NEVER TRUST THESE CROOKS read more

This is the most corrupt dealership I have ever been to. The very first car I ever purchased was here and they took advantage of me to the point that I have learned a serious life lesson. 1. I made a deal with them and by the time I got to the finance department they had added 2,000$ extra on the cost of the car. They snuck it in by getting me to pay 2,000$ down. Played a numbers game with me. (Run away from the internet manager- he is the DEVIL himself. If he is reading this - I hate you and I will hate you forever along with your devil friend in the finance department.) 2. They never told me my credit score even when I asked. They just "oh it's good." Which I later learn that it's totally illegal for them to not tell you the number!!! 3. Kia vehicles drop in value so much that, 2 years later my new car's value (according to Kelly blue book) has dropped by half of what I paid for. Ouch. 4. I bought a used 2013 Kia Optima . Kia Optima is my dream car and as a college student, I was super exited. It had a lot of miles, but I was promised that in six months I would be able to come in and upgrade to a new Kia Optima. I was over joyed and over the moon. If only I knew then what I know now. The first problem that I had was when I opened the trunk and there was no support, it was missing pieces in the trunk so that I couldn't put anything in there without it caving in on itself. I went back to Kia and asked them to fix it, after getting the run around they told me I would have to pay $325 for it. I'm a full time student, I couldn't afford that. I left without the part. I was so disappointed. After calling and telling them about my disappointment, they called me back and said they have the part, and once again I was satisfied. Now, I understood that I was buying a used car. So, of course I got an extended warranty. When I got the car they said they put new brakes on, and I find it odd that my brakes are grinding right now. $250 to change the brake hardware. This isn't covered by warranty. My steering column is making clunking noise and vibrates when I hit a bump. I was quoted $694. This is not covered by warranty. I'm having speaker problems from the radio. This is not covered by warranty. The interior is literally melting off. I don't expect this to be covered by warranty, but I do expect it to last longer. I understand that I bought a car with a lot of miles, but I got the warranty to cover any problems that I would have until my six months was up and I could get a new car. I went back twice to get a new car. The first time was disappointing, and they convinced me to almost sign for a second car. This was against my best interest. The sales people said it would not hinder me trying to get a car, but as soon as I sat down in finance they said it would be hard to get a new car if I signed for a second car. They were adamant that it wouldn't be a problem and commended me for being so generous, signing for a car for my sister. We brought the car back because it really would end in disaster. I went back again to get my new car. I applied online so that there wouldn't be any delay and I wouldn't have to wait a long time. They told me that I was upside down on my equity. Now, I know that they know they are blowing smoke up uncomfortable places when they blatantly lie to a customers face. I would have just gotten the new Forte if I'd known that I would have so much trouble with my used car. I would like to feel some sort of satisfactions or rectification of my issues, but if I'm being realistic it seems like every time I call or go in I get lied to or run around. I went in with so much hope and optimism that people do the right things. I want to feel like Archer Kia is a trusted name again. I feel like they would do whatever and say whatever to sell a car. Now I go in and see nothing but snakes. After going to the restroom and over hearing how they referred to a customer as a RAT and BOAGS. I told my Mom and close friends I don't ever want to go back. I don't understand how an expected good experience could turn so poorly in a matter of months. These people are liars, hustlers, and snake charmers; and their used cars are going to bite you in less than a year of purchase. I suggest you take your business to someone else, or get a new kia. Just want to say, the people I experienced are mostly impersoable in service. I had blowout from road hazard.1:30 on thursday. Towed in 3:30. Issue was 2 tire and 2 wheels. They couldn't get to that day so I spent $160 on hotel. By 1:30 Friday they decided to round up rims. Said they had tires. I have to consider they do not stock necessities. They must have small section of new cars also because they had no rims. By 2:30 I was informed the job was done, but alignment was out of specs so they replaced a strut and a stabilizer bar. The service person specifically told me to have Enterprise rental dropped at E And they would drop. Me back off at dealership. I asked her when car would be ready. She says 5:30pm. I asked closing time. 6pm. Are you sure it will be ready I said. Relies he thinks he can have it by 5:30pm Does this sound backward. It was. I live 2 hours away from dealership. They didn't care what I had to go through being out of town. I guess if you are local this might have worked for you. If you are.a working person who has obligations and responsibilities, don't expect any favors or consideration for that at THIS shop. Find someone who cares about travelers and what they have to go thru to get their lives normal again! read more

I lost my primary source of transportation and my home in Hurricane Harvey so I was in the market for a new vehicle, I had driven my Mom's Kia Sorento and I liked it very much so that's what I wanted to buy... The salesman liked to talk , A LOT but wasn't really keen on listening, I explained to him that I had lost my car and needed another, I further explained that I was counting on him heavily to get me the best deal possible because my mind was not in the best place due to the stress of loosing everything, he assures me I'm going to get the best possible deal... So he explains that there are 3 trim levels and I tell him I want the middle trim level, test drove exactly 1 midlevel Sorento , already knew I liked it so I told him I'd take it... What he didn;t notice is that I took notice of the sticker price on the window so i knew what the sticker price was, still hoping this guy is going to get me a deal ... You can imagine my surprise when he brings me papers to sign that show a price WAY over the sticker price, I asked "did I not see a much lower price on the window?" So we go outside and sure enough there is the way lower price , he assures me he just put in the wrong stock number, I'm thinking to myself we only looked at the one car and I saw him write down the information off THAT car !! So he apologizes and once again assures me I'm going to get the best possible deal, once again the paper work comes to me to sign and you know what that BEST POSSIBLE DEAL was ? The freaking sticker price , I mean seriously don't do me any favors here... I think the deal here was he was expecting me to reject the first numbers so he could bring me the sticker price and present it as this great deal, infuriating !! So I paid full price for my car basically, not a DEAL in any form ! Ok so we get all that out of the way and I'm waiting on the car to be washed and detailed, the car wasn't ever actually dirty per say but it was far from detailed and guess what I waited all that time and it was obvious the vehicle had not been cleaned in any way... .I left the dealership in fortunately a really awesome vehicle that I paid full price for and wasn't even detailed , I felt taken advantage of , I won't be going back , ever ! read more

I am doing a rent to own on an RV from Archer RV. My RV was delivered July 1, 2020. I was not informed until after deliver that I would owe the delivery person $250. I was not informed I would need the hoses because it does not come with it. It was delivered with the restroom mirror broken and shards of glass everywhere as well as the vent cover above the restroom missing. It also came to my attention after sewage went everywhere that my toilet isn't even mounted. I have been in contact with Jim Archer who pretty much disregarded all my problems but the toilet. He asked me to bring it in. I informed him that it is booted and I live in it. I emailed him and told him that he needs to send someone here to fix it. I will not be paying 250 to 500 to deliver my home back and forth for them to fix something that should have already been done. I can only hope that their negligence in not mounting my toilet hasn't caused any serious damage. read more

I read the reviews for Archer. Still, I needed service so I took my car there. I explained that their reviews weren't very good and that perhaps they should be really receptive since I wanted to write a good review.Unfortunately, although the staff is very nice, they are indeed incompetent. My air conditioner was failing. I left it there for a day. They said it was fine. A week later I took it back and indeed they agreed and replaced it. While there I told them of a noise from the dashboard. They "fixed" it. Only charged me half the usual charge. But alas, it was still broken. Today I took it back for two issues. The noise, and the air bag sensor. They of course told me that neither was defective. So, I guess that if you want something fixed, perhaps this isn't the place to go. Again, the staff is extremely nice. They just can't fix anything. read more
