After dealing with the office again they decided to refund the whole rental as compensation for the issues and unsatisfaction. Over the past two weeks they have charged our card three times and refunded us twice. So they still owe us our refund. They keep telling us someone will call us back and nobody does. We have a typed signed contract from them showing there is no charge and they keep charging us. It has now gotten to the point that we had to place a fraudulent claim and are considering a lawsuit. Will never rent from here again and I strongly advise anyone to not rent from them as well.

I reserved a car through Costco on July 18, 2025 for Sept 18-21, 2025, with an 8:00 AM pickup/drop-off, at a confirmed price of $207.11. When I arrived at the airport at 5:00 AM, the counter agent (Abdul) refused to release the car until 8:00 AM unless I paid an extra fee -- even when I offered to take a smaller/cheaper car. In the past, I've picked up early or late with no issues as long as I returned on time. I called Budget Customer Care, and the agent assured me there would be no additional fee. Instead, my reservation was changed without my consent to $385.29. The agent admitted the error but couldn't fix it, gave me a case number, and said "accounting" would resolve it. No one followed up. I called again and spoke with Merlinda, who was rude, dismissive, refused to escalate me to a manager, and left me with only another reference number. A third call after returning the car ended the same way: "nothing can be done." To be clear: Budget altered my reservation without my approval. I was nearly overcharged $180. I wasted hours on calls with zero accountability or resolution. This was a complete customer service failure at every level -- counter staff, call center, and management. If you value transparency, fair treatment, and basic accountability, do not rent from Budget.

We had a late night so I couldn't make it at the original time 9 AM but I called the number listed and the person on the phone said yes no problem, and they hold it up to 20 something hours.. OK great. I arrived an hour and 20 minutes later (1 hour 20 minutes later) and the agent said 'sorry no cars not sure what to tell you; nothing I could do. ' She said they hold for 1 hour. So here we were after a beautiful vacation in Nashville with no option. She said 'try the airport'. I asked if they could shuttle me...nope. I mean literally no help other to wait in the small lobby on the off chance someone returned a car. So I went to the app, changed reservation to the airport...at a higher rate (no choice), had to pay $20 for an uber (keep in mind I ubered 10 minutes earlier from hotel to this location), and lost hours. I cannot say enough bad things about this place avoid it all costs they don't care. I plan to call corporate when I return home. Funny enough, they had a waitlist and called those people, but didn't call us. I repeat we did the right thing by calling earlier saying we were going to be late and asked if that was OK and that we were told yes. Agent who did nothing is in the attached picture.

We knew if we did not get back early on Sunday, there would be a longer line. Yes, the line started to get long after we left. Service - Good. Not the friendliest folks (not rude or anything), but efficient and fairly quick. I rather have efficiency and speed over overly friendly people as we have places to go and see. Price - $300, reasonably priced for 6 days (really 5.5 days as we needed to return the car by 11:30am as they close early on Sundays). Includes $65 for adding an additional driver; $13 a day.
