I recently visited the Artic Circle on 3900 So and 7th East. The Halibut Fish and Chips were excellent, they weren't greasy, all white fish and the tarter sauce was delicous. A shout out to the staff working there, they were all so polite, made sure everything was good, told us to have a good day when we left and they deserve to hear that. read more

Out of all the Arctic Circle locations, I claim this one as MINE. For years, I worked in the office complex next door and visited this location frequently-and that's what got me hooked. Even though that was over 15 years ago, I still stop by occasionally and find that the amazing service continues. If you're not familiar with this brand, it's a local burger joint. I always get the country chicken sandwich and a chocolate shake with butterfinger mixed in. You can't beat it. The chicken rings are also fabulous. read more

Super rude old worker (looked like a manager) declines us of any flavors of COURTESY CONES. He was very impolite when I asked him what flavors they had. He got upset that I asked and then questioned if I was ordering food. It almost felt like he was discriminating. I said no we'd just like some courtesy cones. I had my 3 little girls with me. He had grey hair and a red worker shirt. I've worked at arctic circle as an assistant, and we dipped courtesy, any flavor bursts, or a choice of chocolate or vanilla so i know We were very upset. Because there was no one in the lobby. I feel very mistreated , and will not be going here again. I told him I have worked here before and offer even vanilla chocolate or twist. The customer service here was amazing! Workers consistently greeted you and asked how they could make your experience better. They even offered everyone courtesy cones to try their newest flavors. I think there's a certain charm about Arctic Circle. That charm, may not be necessarily visible to the lay observer, but as a long time resident of Salt Lake, the charm mixes a bit of nostalgia, a bit of history, and of course Drive in style food. Things like, the fact that they claim to have invented fry sauce, only add to the allure. On their own, just for the food, I'm not sure where they stack up. I find a guilty pleasure, and an inexpensive one at that. And, to be honest, I've grown so accustomed to their shakes, that I really crave them every so often. In the true Utah style, they have to be eaten with a spoon and not a straw. This particular location, I have only visited once or twice. I never seem to be in this part of town, but if you're anywhere along the 700 E. Corridor, you'll thank your lucky stars that are convenient and cheap burger stop is there. To be sure, it's not the best burger in the state, but that doesn't stop it from being a terrific burger stop. This one has a drive-through, and also ample seating inside. It is definitely not fancy, but that goes with the theme. And it also adds to that allure that I was talking about. read more

I had the straberry-banana shake. Both were excellent! Large chunks of banana and nuts mixed throughout! The commercials and the "hurry it's only here for a limited time," wore me down. Last week on a dark and stormy night I relented and drove through to get a Cookie Butter Shake. Arctic circle has always had the best halibut and fries in town. Today we went and their prices have doubled! $12.49 for a two piece fish. Then we get home and the fish is half the size it used to be. One piece was still pretty good but the other was not great taste. The fries were so so. This is not an upscale restaurant! Don't charge upscale prices! The raspberry shake was ok but again, not like they have been in the past. The brown topper I've cream cone was delicious. We won't be back there for dinner again. After living in Utah for almost a year, I went for it and tried Arctic Circle. I was on my way home last night and decided to try it. I walked in and the girl who was the cashier was really nice. I explained that I had never been to an Arctic Circle so I needed some menu guidance. I got a burger with fries and a drink, large sized and some chicken rings. It was under $8 and some change. It was freaking baller and they got my burger right which always makes me happy. I got home and scarfed everything down aside from the chicken rings which were fun, but not my favorite. Quick and friendly service in the drive thru today. Our curds were fresh and hot. The sundae wasn't melted. And our large lime rickey was totally full of actual drink with minimal ice. From the moment I walked in everyone acknowledged and welcomed me, brought my food to my table, bussed my empty tray, offered to bring my complimentary ice cream cone and wished me a good day - I left with a big smile on my face but wishing I had cash on me to tip :(. I will definitely be back with cash! Foodwise was okay, nothing amazing and I wished my ranch burger tasted more like ranch... But oh well, I got some extra and just added it. On a side note (and this is want makes me go the extra mile and give them 5 stars instead of 4 I had originally thought) I just love it when you can tell people are in a friendly work environment and they are happy to be there. Yes...I am giving Arctic Circle 5 stars. Hear me out. This location has the BEST customer service. They are ALWAYS so friendly. They bring free ice cream to your table and they also deliver your food to your table. They check up throughout your meal. The drive thru is the same ... So friendly and accommodating. It's not the fastest drive thru in the world because they are actually cooking your food when you order it. While you wait you can get a free ice cream cone with a chocolate or cherry or butterscotch shell. The same people have worked here forever and they are so nice. The food is really good. The fries and fry sauce are delicious. The halibut sandwich is Zagat rated! The burgers are very good and the quality of the beef is better than most fast food places. They have delicious salads as well. The shakes rival iceberg. They currently have a chocolate Dunford donut shake. A Chocolate. Dunford. Donut. Shake. !!! The kids meals have the best toys. The young kid who took our order was smiling as he rung us up, and not a "nerdy pimple-faced" kid mind you. He was a good lookin' Bieber-haired kid. Really was happy to be there to help us. Talk about the battle of the shakes - a block away from the Iceberg Drive Inn sits Arctic Circle. They also have a plethora of delicious shake flavors, but their sizes are much more manageable. A small is a small, a large is a large. Unlike Iceberg, there's plenty of parking and tables. The food is basic fast food, but the service makes a real difference. The people there are friendly and seem to actually CARE about your dining experience. They bring your food, the clean up your table, and they walk through from time to time to make sure you're happy. This location is close to my work, and when I forget food, or having a french fry need, they are within very quick walking distance. I enjoy the Ranch Burgers, and their shakes are pretty amazing. The lunch crew is very good and very friendly. The location seems like it could have been the first location ever opened, meaning it could use an update. Especially since so many other restaurants are often updating, yet most Arctic Circles are built and never changed. Even a coat of fresh paint might be a nice change. Either way, they are quick and easy, and mostly clean, though the location does seem a bit smaller than most. read more

The service doesn't get better than this Arctic Circle. The drive up can be a little slow but its because they are cooking your food - not keeping it under some nasty heat lamp. If you eat inside you are waited on by employees and offered free ice cream. (you can ask for free ice cream in the drive up too) It is very clean and you can tell the employees like their job because they are friendly and accommodating. The food is great for fast food - I don't get those being overly picky for a burger place. We love their food. Their shakes are THE BEST. (Better than Iceberg!) Corn dogs are my favorite treat, and the Arctic Circle (or as I like to call it, Artic Snurcle) makes a good corn dog! They also make fantastic milkshakes, but they err on the side of having too many flavors. I have to stand off to the side and think for a good 5 minutes before I can come to a decision on shake flavor (I usually get raspberry-brownie or choco-covered strawberry, but i like to give every flavor possibility its due consideration each time I go). Luckily the servers are always very patient with me. Artic Snurcle also features the best kids meal around. The hamburgers/cheeseburgers are waaaay better than the ones you can get at any other fast food place in town because they have lettuce and special sauce on them which make them extra delicious. AND - rice crispy treats!! At holiday times you can get extra great toys in the kids meals. Once upon a time they even gave away Christmas themed trolls. Best kids meal prize. EVER. I got the whole set and put them out every Christmas. Go give Arctic Circle a try and see for yourself why it's the best! read more

I was craving for a sumptuous lunch after having attended a meeting. Arctic Circle was the first eatery in sight, so I went right in. The first thing that caught my attention is how incredibly sweet the staff is. They make you feel very welcome! The cheeseburger was delightful and fries were done to a perfect crisp. The lady at the counter kept walking over to our table every now and then to enquire if we needed something - a gesture you seldom get to see these days.
