Yesterday, after training, my co-worker and I, worked up an appetite and came to Firehouse Subs. It was my first time coming to this location since the last one was in California, La Verne. Parking: Huge parking lot, shared with other businesses. There are many available parking spots. Service: the staff was very polite and accommodating. Also, the establishment inside was spotless. Ambiance: Seems to be the same at every location, which is top-notch. Price: This was the first time I ordered a small and no combo, so it was very cheap. Normally, for my ex and I, back in California, La Verne for two large combos, it's pricey. Instead of ordering the usual, a Meat Ball Sub, I ordered the following: Small Hook and Ladder on Wheat Bread $6.19 Tax: $0.53 My co worker, got the Meat Ball sub which he enjoyed. I've been a loyal customer at this location for the past three years and have always used the discount key tag provided by a local fundraiser. However, today, I was denied the discount when I presented my key tag to the manager. Instead of taking the time to look up the policy or even engage in a conversation with me, the manager simply stated that the discount is not accepted at their location. This unhelpful and dismissive attitude has left me with a negative impression of the store and has made me doubt my decision to return. read more

June 29 at 7:57 PM I placed a mobile order. The location at approximately 4.1 miles from my home. At 8:28 I arrived at the restaurant expecting to pick up my order when I got there they had not even started my order even though they had almost 30 minutes to get to it before my arrival. Two of the sandwiches we had ordered were soaked in condiments to the point where there were puddles in the containers, and the bread was all soggy and falling apart in our hand. My chicken breast sandwich consisted of vegetables, and three small pieces of chicken I have tried to contact the store itself to speak to the manager. They have seemed to never answer their phone. I have tried to contact the corporate office only to receive a recording, stating that they are unable to accept any calls due to technical issues this has been going on for the last 24 hours. A customer spent over $40 on an order. They expect something a little bit better and when the order is placed via mobile, they should not have to wait for the order to be made after they arrive. Needless to say this is the closest firehouse location to where I live and having had to drive 4.1 miles for this type of disappointment I think I will be looking elsewhere in the future. They got me messed up probably chose somewhere else to do small catering from if that's what you're planning to do. They didn't have my order in the system when I had a receipt with a set time for pickup. And I know stuff happens with tech so I was trying to be chill about it but they were giving ME attitude during all of this and they were cussing about having to make the order when they finally saw it in the system. I had a mid sized Italian sub at Firehouse Subs. The sandwich featured a soft roll, lots of mayo and mustard and some acceptable cold cuts that may or may not have been Italian in style. Not nearly as good as a real Italian sandwich with imported Italian cold cuts like at Caputo's or even Toaster's. But I did enjoy the fact that it was slightly warmed before serving. The staff at the counter were cheerful and prepared my sandwich relatively quickly. The interior of the restaurant was clean and well maintained with plenty of seating. My visits here are rare and based on convenience and location. Firehouse isn't a place I'll avoid but I won't be stopping by regularly either. read more

I was actually pleasantly surprised by this place! My partner and I were hungry for a sandwich on a Sunday, and so many other sandwich shops nearby were closed. We were feeling a little on the lazy side, and Firehouse Subs was nearby, on the cheaper side, and open on a Sunday. I got what I believe is the only vegetarian option on their menu but it had mushrooms, onions, cheese, peppers, and mayo - I can't remember the name of it but I wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised when biting into it. It's easy to order takeout online and it was ready by the time I arrived. They also have one of those cool fountain drink dispensers where you can mix/match flavors AND they had caffeine free Diet Coke which is my absolute favorite. I got a lime caffeine free Diet Coke, but there were so many other soda options. I haven't see these types of machines in a ton of places that I've been recently so this was an exciting little treat for me. The interior is pretty sizable as well. There wasn't anyone dining in when I picked up my order, but there were a handful of takeout orders when I arrived. If you're looking for a quick and decent sandwich, check this place out! read more

I came here after a day of flight. I was jet lagged and still recovering from the lack of sleep. As I walked in the first question I got was "uber eats?" Im sure I didn't look like a person picking up, so I just said no and kept browsing the menu. They have a really nice menu, I've been here a could of times, so I was surprise when I've never reviewed it. Their sandwiches are way better than the other sub places around. I totally recommend their meat ball subs. But if you want something else you can never go wrong. All their sandwiches was really good and the bread is great as well. If you want to customize your own you can. You can always just order and eat what they gave you. It's really good. As far as chain sub shops go, I think fire house has probably some of the best quality product. And they generally have clean shops.

I've been here a number of times and every time the sandwiches were terrific! The Hook and Ladder and meatball subs were amazing; won't even consider another sub place (and I've eaten at many). Got the meatball sub. It was cheesy, the meatballs moist and the wheat bread was soft. They didn't skimp on the seasonings either. It was perfect. The facility was very clean, the staff friendly. I ordered 2 sandwiches online last night at the firehouse subs in Salt Lake City, UT on 3798 S and 700 E at 8:37 pm. The store closes at 9:00pm. The site processed my order and my card was charged $21.68. I was sent an email confirmation. I went to go and pick up my sandwiches and the employee told me that since I ordered my sandwiches online after 8 pm they would probably not get the order to make my sandwiches until the next day and was told to check with them the next day after 10:30am to see if they got my order. I requested a refund and the employee said there was nothing he could do. There was no manager to speak with, so I left the store after working a 14 hour day with no food and my credit card charged. Why did the online system process my order that evening if the store wouldn't get the information until possibly the next day? I called my credit card company to dispute the charge and they said they can't do anything until the charge goes through in a couple of days. Absolutely ridiculous. I called the store this morning to talk to a manager, still no help and no manager available. I told them again to cancel my order again and still no help. I left my number for a call back. I called corporate, no person to talk to except to leave a general voicemail. Waiting for a call back from the manager from this horrible company. I will never order from this company again. Email had a link on how was your online ordering, took me to a webpage that the survey was no longer available and contact link didn't work. What a joke. read more

Okay, they don't have lot many vegetarian options. But the one they offer is delicious. The sautéed mushroom and caramelized onions with raw veggies and cheese is perfect. The ratio of filling to the sandwich is just right and you don't feel nibbling on a bread ever. It can be customized to your liking. But I usually like all veggies with extra onions. Never had a bad experience at Firehouse. Leaps and bounds better than subway. Hook and Ladder seems to be my favorite sub I've tried here. Ask to add all the veggies (olives, green peppers, jalapeños, banana peppers), otherwise it includes just onion, lettuce and tomato. Our order was screwed up but I'm giving this place a full 5 star rating because the manager bent over backwards to make it right. We had just gotten home from the urgent care so leaving the house again wasn't ideal....after offering to remake our order and understanding that we really didn't want to leave the house again she offered to deliver it. This place is disgusting for vegetarians. There are very few choices. When asked if you want mushrooms say no. If you agree to mushrooms you get shredded iceberg lettuce and a sloppy mixture of green peppers onions and mushrooms that's been cooking way too long and is so wet it turns the bread into a seeping mass of dough. All the salads have meat. And if you remove the meat you are overpaying for iceberg lettuce. Subway or literally any other sandwich shop in the valley is better for vegetarians than this place. read more

Very pleasant experience here a few weeks ago. The ladies helping me as the store closed were very nice.

I enjoy coming here especially on Sundays because my 8 year old can have a small sandwich on the house. And also, because it is quieter on Sundays. I've been here on a weekday and it is busy. The sandwiches are delicious, fresh, and the speed of service is good. The actual customer service is a hit and miss. I'm really big on customer service (I'm in the hospitality industry) and I appreciate it when people give good customer service. The price of the sandwiches are decent. The veggies and meats always taste fresh and full-flavored, and the employees have always been helpful and friendly. They keep the place really clean. I don't love writing negative reviews. I normally only write reviews if I really love something, but I was less than impressed with this location of firehouse subs. I've eaten at other locations and had a much better experience. The service was SERIOUSLY subpar. The line took forever (come on, sandwiches don't take that long to make. Some places do it freaky fast *cough cough*), the employees were struggling operating the computer system, and then one was violently coughing which you just never want to see when someone is preparing your food. However, if the sandwich was incredible I could get over that. But the sandwich was also subpar. For serving "firefighter sized portions" there was not very much meat on the sandwich which was a bummer (apologies for not taking a pic, but you can get a MUCH larger pastrami sandwich at other places in SLC), the bread was soggy, and they didn't throw in the promised pickle! Since I have had better experiences at other locations, I would be willing to try again if changes were made but as of right now I would not recommend spending your money here. read more
