My hygienist Tam, who's amazing - is the one & ONLY reason I was a patient of this dentistry for over 21 years - since long before its purchase by D.D.S's Souzan Roshan Ardalan from Peter Spennato. In the years since 2011, when Souzan Ardalan litigiously wrested the business from Peter Spennato, its decline has been steady. Recent interactions with Souzan Ardalan finally showed me absolutely all of the reasons why. When I made the appointment, with Connie, one month before the scheduled visit, as well as during the additional times they'd called to confirm it, I communicated my need for just the one, usual service, of just a basic cleaning with novocaine, and the total cash price, of $135, to which Connie had agreed. I also mentioned that I would be driving up from Orange County for the visit. Day of, I left work, in the middle of my day, to drive over an hour and a half in jammed morning traffic to get there. When I arrived, I was 8 minutes late (which I'd called, en route, to let them know about). It's so common for us as patients to be made to wait for our doctors and dentists, that a 15 min grace period is an industry wide generally accepted courtesy doctors and dentists provide, nationwide, for patients running late to their appointments. Regardless of the fact that I've arrived early for the last 5 prior appointments with them, and that, on every single one of those appointments with them, THEY had made me wait 15 - 20 min, and once, even 40 minutes, they were ok with dying on their sword over 8 minutes. They refused to see me, and they were shockingly rude about it. And then they had the unmitigated gall to assume I'd subject myself to a repeat of this treatment by rescheduling yet another appointment with them. They thought I could just leave work any old time, as if I had all the money in the world to waste yet another day and another tank of gas on a three hour drive. We'd agreed upon the single service when I'd made the appointment, and the price, yet they waited till I showed up to say, NOW there wasn't enough time to see me. They started throwing up excuses by inventing additional services we hadn't agreed upon (& likely would have also surprised me with a higher bill at the end for them too)! They suddenly said that they now wanted X-rays, and gum measurements, and all these random, other, extra services, and that my subjecting myself to them was "mandatory" & because they were now suddenly dictating the performance of these extra services, which we had NOT agreed upon, that there suddenly wasn't enough time to honor my appointment, because another patient was supposed to arrive in 45 minutes. Not only was this other patient not even there, the whole office was completely empty! At 1 o'clock in the middle of the business day! I was there. There was 45 minutes. All I wanted was a cleaning. I was paying full price. In cash. But no. None of this made any sense until Souzan Ardalan suddenly came walking out... and then, I totally understood why loosing a patient, loyal to their business for over 21 years could be justified with such random, unprofessional, irrational behavior on their part. Souzan Ardalan stumbled out, with raccoon eyes mascara, smudged down her face, which rimmed red, bloodshot eyes, was sporting a halo of messy, unwashed hair and was dressed in unkempt, rumpled attire. She was just slovenly and grossly disheveled. Far more disconcerting, however, was her manic, irrational, pugnaciously snappish behavior. What was NOT surprising, was that she was exhibiting all this, in an office, entirely devoid of patients, just a few hours in to the business day. It all made this business's struggle towards impending doom even more substantially apparent. Suddenly I remembered the two back molars that had gotten infected and had ached terribly for months after she had bonded them. And then, when I began writing this, I'd discovered her near endless stream of (at least 8, multi-year!) civil, criminal and fraud cases, she's been involved in. Suddenly, everything clicked into place. Her mistreatment of her patients will ultimately be the terminating cause of her practice's unfortunately imminent downfall. Sadly, in her current state, I doubt she's able to recognize how fiercely she's contributing to her own professional demise. "Doctor" Souzan Ardalan is sinking her own ship. read more

This Dentist is very dishonest! She will tell you need work done when you don't. She will do unnecessary work on your teeth just so she can collect from Insurance! I would avoid this place at all cost!! I have caught her on Two lies in two different occasions! read more

Will never go there again. Unprofessional front desk receptionist. Teeth cleaning is not thorough. Tried to upsell me on a crown and rip me off. Said the crown had decay maybe cracking pliers. Fitted with temp, then permanent was "lightly glued" on. Permanent crown looked great. Permanent crown was applied with temp glue...After 1 day permanent crown was GONE! Staff told me to sift through my poop/shit to find it, or else it would cost $1000 to make another one. I never did find it. I walked around for 8-9 months without a chewing molar. Ardalan said the crown would cost another $1000-$1500 for another crown to be ordered, and glued back on. Again, it was only on me for 10 months. I went to a different dentist, and paid $3400 for a better crown with a 5 YEAR WARRANTY! Ardalan didnt let me know if a warranty was available on my 10 month old crown. She could have put permanent glue on the crown but she chose to put temporary glue on the crown and it fell off. Her assistant said that the glue would hold up. The crown came off in my mouth and I have never found it to this day. Ardalen and her Associates told me to sift through my poop in the toilet to find my crown to avoid paying another $1,000-$1500. Do not go to this dentist because she is unprofessional. Her assistants are unprofessional and Connie is the worst. She will call you the day before the appointment and the day of the appointment. Then Connie will call you while you are driving to the appointment to see if you are still coming. Ardalan will park her Mercedes G Wagon in the front of the dental office so she can keep an eye on her car. She does not care about her patients. She only cares about getting paid so she can peel out from her office on the dot. PERIOD! Ardalan is on something at work... you will never see another patient in her waiting room. I don't know why she has a sign in sheet, because she does not have enough patients throughout the day to need a sign in sheet. Connie is rude, and pushy. Do Not Use This Dentist's Office. There are plenty of other highly talented and licensed dentist in the area. read more

The way she treats her employees is disgusting. She yells all the time like they are all below her and then turns a switch and is overly nice to longshorman patients just to get that paycheck. After 2 years with her, I booked it out of that trash hole!! read more

Dr Ardalan has been my dentists for years and I've had nothing but positive and amazing experiences from her office! I was there yesterday and her staff and Dr. Souzan treated me like an old friend. Absolute trash. Always want to find something wrong with your teeth just so they can get money out of you. Everyone that works there is rude and seem unknowledgeable in the field. After my second visit I said hell no not coming back to this terrible place. Dishonest work practice. Claimed I had to do crowning work. The receptionist (Connie) is very dishonest... I went there for cleaning and asked if my Insurance is covered and she said yes. Since it is my first time to avail my Aetna Insurance she did not discussed to me that I am out of net-work and I will be paying so much money and even recommended for a financing. To my surprise all my dental benefits was exhausted $1,200.00 and I will be paying too a finance company of another $800. What they did was only half- cleaning of my teeth, and offered me a filling on my 3 teeth. This is an over-charging and Connie insisted that if I avail another cleaning of half-of my teeth I will be paying more out-of-pocket. A great example of Deceit and Dishonesty to the highest level. My co-workers told me that their dentist don't even charged them out-of- pocket because it is covered by insurance. Lesson learned for me.... Beware of scammer!!! God is watching you! read more

I used to be terrified of going to the dentist. Then my neighbor recommended me to try Dr. Ardalan and I'm so happy I did. Dr Ardalan is awesome. She is always so helpful and truly care about all her patients. She is very knowledgeable, and she does fantastic work. She is very detail oriented and I have very pretty crowns, thanks to her. I feel safe and relaxed when I sit down in her chair. She is the best and I would give her 10 stars if possible. read more

My family has been seeing Dr Ardalan and her staff since she opened her practice in San Pedro. We are very happy with her. She has done at least 4 implants and 4 crowns for my husband. He has never experienced any problems or unusual discomfort with any of the procedures. My children all see Dr Ardalan and her staff, including 4 sets of braces with the orthodontist who is her associate. We are very pleased with the professionalism and expertise. When she heard I was diagnosed with cancer last year, she personally called me to express her concern and encourage me with my treatments. When I recently broke a tooth over a weekend, she immediately saw me Monday morning, smoothing over the rough edges of the tooth and scheduling all the necessary appointments around my other medical appointments. We have had her office perform wisdom teeth extractions on 3 of our children, the 4th being scheduled for this summer. I'm a dentist's daughter and a former dental assistant so I'm a tough critic on dentists. Trust me when I tell you Dr Ardalan is the only dentist I'll trust with my teeth and my children's teeth! read more
