I chipped a molar and asked in a community FB group for recommendations for a sedation dentist. Dr. Cootes sent me a message to let me know most if not all insurances do not cover sedation. I gave her my information and she personally looked up my insurance coverage (she is out of network, but routine cleanings are covered 100%). She sent me up with an appointment to diagnose the molar w/ an x-ray. I couldn't handle the sensors in my mouth so I opted for the panoramic machine. She took a look and let me know that it was the third molar that was cracked, and recommended that I have all four removed. Unfortunately, she can do any other tooth except the third molar and referred me to an oral surgeon. Before we concluded our visit with Dr. Cootes, I asked if she can try a dental cleaning, since it has been 5-7 years since my last attempt. She said NO PROBLEM and had a go. Dude! I had almost no issues with her gentle skills. She used a manual scaling tool instead of ultrasonic and I think that is what helped me. She was very patient and compassionate. I think that is what helped. I am looking forward to my visits with her in the future.

Dr. Park was very honest and forthright about my tooth, saying he could try saving it but if there was pain after the filling, I may need one. Wanting to avoid a root canal at all cost, I told him, let's do it! He was very gentle, skilled, and made sure I was comfortable. The tooth came out beautiful! It has been over a month since the filling and absolutely no pain or issues. I'm a little embarrassed about how gross my tooth looked before but had to share pictures on how gorgeous the filling came out. Thank you so much Dr. Park. I promise I'll floss more often

First they told me it would be $234 to clean my teeth but I get 2 feee cleanings a year with insurance. Apparently this is the price for a deep cleaning which I NEVER asked for. Then Dr. Park said that the bridge I had need to be replaced so he was referring me to a colleague. To make a long story short. I walked out with an estimate charge of $5,500 in dental work. They tried to get me to obtain care credit. I was so upset and overwhelmed that I left wanting to cry. Two weeks later, I found another amazing dentist who said I didn't need a deep cleaning or a new bridge. The bridge just needed adjusting and my teeth only needed the standard cleaning. The new dentist was able to do my 2nd bridge using my insurance only. Please shop around and don't choose any old dentist who will use up all your insurance benefits in unnecessary procedures then turn around and charge you for what you really need but now you have to pay out of pocket

We just received a $496.00 bill out of the blue which included multiple items over several months of services. The office claimed our Delta Premier plan was not paying them enough. The front office is extremely on top of their customer care. They are fast, always smiling, and getting all the needed approvals as quick as insurance will appove them. I have been wearing mouthguards for 30 yeas and have never had one ever be compromised. $1000 for crap. I went in on March 2 for a cleaning only and was quoted $160. Dr. Shook popped in for five minutes and checked my teeth and mouthguard. When I went to check out, Peter (husband) said it was $268. I said wait, I came in for a cleaning only. He said Dr. Shook has to do an exam every time. I said I was just here four months ago and paid over $300 for my exam, I don't need a second one. He said that is how we do things here.
