The SNS last me about 3 weeks I could do 4 if I really wanted too and they don't damage my nails. I love SNS because it's hard like acrylic but not damaging like it. When the SNS comes off my real nails are long and I damaged. Dorothy never fails on designs I want. I always get complements on how cute and pretty my nails look. Thank you once again Dorothy! This salon is absolutely amazingly, but the thing that makes it that way is KEVIN! He is the BOMB My nails turn out absolutely perfect every time I go. Having done nails myself I am very particular about who I go to. KEVIN is the only nail artist I have been where I do not go home and refile/reshape my nails. I promise he will not disappoint. He takes his time, gets to know you, and is the nicest, funniest guy ever. My daughter and I walked in for two fills with gel and 2 pedicures. We were greeted mildly so the customer service off the bat needs improvement. I waited in a pedi chair for a while sans water and so did my daughter. My manicurist was okay but she tossed my fingers when she was done with a nail and filed my nails upward when I specially asked her not to. I was told the pedicure chair vibration made it challenging for the manicurist to do good work - honestly I get my nails and toes done regularly and I've never had this told to me - that's a part of enjoying a pedicure. Needless to say, the manicure felt sanitized (and no, not the cleanliness reference). The pedicurist had a thing with cutting and filing nails on my toes which were already short and just needed a touch-up. She cut so deeply on my right toe I flinched twice and sadly, now two days later my toe is swollen, hot and hurts in my shoes. I'm not impressed at all. Even the massage was so hard I asked her to relax a little and I don't think she understood me so I have mild bruises. Not cool. While my daughter enjoyed her manicurist (who btw, offered me a drink after my two techs didn't) her pedicurist was okay. While I was waiting for my daughter to get done, I walked up to the front to pay for the bill. The front desk young ladies were less than accommodating and I had to walk toward them to hand them my tickets after making a request for them to allow me to pay with my daughter's all in one. She was probably quite distracted by another young lady very very upset at the customer service she was not getting and the fact the lady who was helping her was not trying to solve the issue of her nails popping off within 2 days of service. Not a comfortable situation and the front desk ladies were not trying to be accommodating to this young lady making it worse for us waiting in the front as her mom came in and all heck broke loose. It was not a good space to be in. Overall the manicure was satisfactory but I've had better and regularly. There was little attention to detail and the tech didn't act like she was happy to be working there. I've been coming here since taking my bridal party here in 2018. I always have excellent service whether I walk in or book an appointment. Today I had my SNS powder done by Ann and she did a great job helping me narrow down which nail color to pick -- I absolutely loved how the color turned out and how Ann shaped my nails. Happy has been the best at helping me with my pedicures! I'm on my feet a lot for work and I'm prone to having issues with ingrown toenails. Happy always takes extra time to take great care of my feet and prevent ingrowns from happening. My toes are always perfect after a pedicure from Happy! By far the Worst experience ive ever had. I asked for coffin shape and none of my nails are the same shape. The lady that did my nails cut me twice. Very nice and clean. Even clean restrooms. Some of the techs are super quite so it can get a bit awkward. But most try to make conversation and are friendly. Also I know this is a common nail salon practice but I don't like that if you want to get your nails and your toes done they want to do them at the same time by 2 different people. Like I want to enjoy my pedicure with the massage chair and I wasn't able to even use the massage chair because it made it so I couldn't sit perfectly still so instead of waiting to to my nails they made me turn it off. Not only that, my nails were not done straight and the top coat got messed up and couldn't be fixed because I was having to move all awkward. Didn't help I was 8 months pregnant. Like cmon, I can't twist and bend so easily. The quality of nails they do is okay but not really higher quality than other places. In all fairness I don't use a specific tech so maybe I get whomever is left and that's why. They also don't do any special colors or designs. I asked for marble, they couldn't do it. I also asked for clear nail tips, they didn't have those either. But that's okay, they're not like those super high end nail techs, it's a nail salon. I get that. Just wanted to point that out in case someone wanted something particular. Overall, the place is nice and enjoyable. The front desk is always extra nice so that's a plus. read more

Okay, so my last 2 reviews were not great experiences. I kept coming back because I liked how nice the receptionist and nail technicians are. I've been coming to Area 1 since February or March for 2019. Lee has been my girl, and she does a BEAUTIFUL job and knows exactly how I like my nails done. Since I started coming, I usually have to wait 15-30 mins WITH an appointment. The last 3 times I've come, I've made my appointments a few weeks ahead.. I get there 10/15 mins early, and I've waited over 45 mins for Lee to start my nails. I'll wait there and no one will say anything to me the whole time.. I won't even get an update that she'll be with me soon or she's with another customer. I've watched walkins come at the same time as me and leave with their nails done before me. It's really disappointing because I've been a loyal customer to this nail salon. I can't be here 3 hours being that I have a 5 month old at home. I breastfeed, so I'm usually leaking milk by the time I'm leaving because I'm here longer than I need to be. Unfortunately, 5/28/21 is the last time I will be going to this nail salon. I was waiting more than 45 mins and when Lee finally came up to me to start my nails.. The customer before me complained about her nails and Lee went to go fix them. I had to tell Lee I needed to leave and walked out. I know it's a busy salon, but I've been loyal to you guys and Lee. I'll have to figure out somewhere else to go now. My favorite nail salon of all time! It's worth the 40 min drive for me! I've been coming here for about a year now and they always execute my ideas and my nails last and rarely break. (I'm very rough with my hands so that's a major plus!) SNS is my favorite and now my real nails are so long I don't even need tips anymore! After I posted my first review Dorothy was very quick to contact me, apologize and make me an appt to fix my nails. She was very courteous about watching the dust being blown around (especially since I've been having irritated eyes lately) & the covering the acetone smell as much as she could to remove the old design. She was very sweet and not rude to me in any way for coming back. My nails look perfect I'm very happy with them! Seeing that they were very quick to respond, offer to make it right and still have very good customer service, I would definitely come back. Thank you so very much Dorothy! (My only recommendation here is that they offer small envelopes to give to technicians when you want to give cash tip. They're so busy sometimes you have to walk around and find them and I heard someone ask if there was a line on the cc/debit receipt for too and they said no. That's all!) read more

I am happy that a new nail salon opened up close by. I decided to give it a try. Happy to report this is a really BIG salon and the staff is very friendly and there is a good vibe. I couldn't find them on Yelp - so I added them. Not all the staff do acrylics and there were about four-five people working at the time I was there. This was their 'soft opening' so I'm sure they will add more staff to fit their location capacity as time goes on. The person I had did not speak English very well, so there was no idle chit chat during my services, but that was fine with me. I was able to tell her about an in-grown area on my big toe that wakes me sometimes in the night. She understood and got to work on it. I was a little concerned she didn't understand and It was starting to hurt as she was working on it - so I said ouch...but she persisted and got something out of the side of my toe that made me think...WTH IS that?!! Now the area is free and clear-no more pain!!! I will be making this my new nail salon. There is plenty of parking and it's easy access from the streets. There official opening will be 1st week in July. They also will do eyelash extensions. read more

Walked in on a Saturday morning and they were already busy but the ladies at he reception desk were courteous and helpful! What a great way to start the morning! They were able to accommodate Pedi's for our party of three at a later time and my SNS fill with the absolutely amazing nail tech Dorothy. Not only were we seated right away when we arrived but the other two people in our group decided to try the SNS powders as well; and without hesitation, they said sure!! They got to work on everything for all three of us right away. Yes! You heard/read that right! Right away! We had a very pleasant time at the salon and can't wait to go again. I went to Area One because I had heard really good things on Facebook. I was hoping to find an alternative to my favorite nail salon. From the moment I walked in, I thought I should leave. It is super loud in there, not very relaxing. But the reason I'm leaving this review is the bad quality of the work done. I got the top package for mani/pedi, but I didn't get gels. I always do regular polish. The techs still used the power files, and left grooves in my nails. Also, the polish looked horrible. I had gel nails and a pedicure done and the pedicure by Lisa started chipping in days. I just moved here from a different city and am looking for someone to do builder gel and pedicure every two weeks. When I want in to show them they told me this was normal because I wear socks and tennis shoes . I gave them a chance to fix the situation and remember customer service is everything and they only gave excuses. I did not ask for a new pedicure just for them to fix the nails. Also, when I got the pedicure it looked clumpy and inexperienced and I had to argue then for her to fix the nail that looked bad. Just don't go here is my advice. read more

I hate writing poor reviews but I have had a few bad experiences at this place and feel its important to share. I went here because it's right by my house and my normal place has closed due to covid. The first time I went in the girl who took my acrylic nails off hurt me badly by ripping them off with a nail. It was so painful I most cried. The pedicure they gave me was at about the level my 12 year old could give me. I excused this because it was an outside covid pedicure but as it was done so poorly I would have expected they might offer a discount. They did not. The design they did on my nails was beautiful but in the first week they broke off not 1 but 3 times. Each time I went back I waited and they fixed them and I tipped again. A $40 manicure turned into hours and probably about $80. Again I would have expected them to offer maybe at this point a free manicure! I spoke to Marissa each time and the same girl re did my nails. Once my normal place opened back up I stopped going here... until last week. I called as it's right next to my house and I specifically asked...how long is your wait ? Can you fit me in? I need to pick up my daughter at 8. They said no problem we will immediately do your pedicure and short wait for the dip. They lied. I wanted roughly 45 mins before anyone got to me. They offered another lady a glass of champagne but didnt even ask me for water. The lady who got there after me were helped before me. The pedicure I had asked to do it like the lady sitting right next to me. She said ok. Unfortunately I dont think there was a language barrier. She botched my pedicure, under charged me then charged me again adding a $1 service fee on top of the $1 service fee I already paid for their error. I told the lady at the front. She did NOTHING . Just shrugged it off. I got there at 615. They closed at 8 and I didnt get done until about 845. I waited and waited. The lady lied they were swamped I had to have someone else get my daughter. I also did not have enough cash to provide an adequate tip. They have a cash only tip policy. I asked I'd they could give cash back they refused. She offered to waive my atm fee since they have one on site but I was there so long the front desk lady closed me out and left. The nail colors I picked were not in stock. I picked 3 different colors. Twice I had to start over. Alex who did my nails did an excellent job and I love them. But the rest of the experience was horrible. I will never go back to this place. They lie add extra fees and do not know how to treat their customers. read more
