Today's visit was my third to Area One and I don't think I'll ever stop visiting Vicky. She's so meticulous but efficient - I was in and out in exactly an hour. I have been coming to this salon since we moved to corona 8 months ago. I writhing this review because I've noticed in the last coupe of months is an increasing disturbing attitude from the nail techs. Sometimes give me a hard time for going from SNS to acrylic. I also wanted to mention their pricing. They are way overpriced. I pink and white full set is $45, the most I have ever paid. A pink fill is $38! Outrageous! On their website the cost of a pink fill is $30. I mentioned this and their attitude is oh well. I'm going to have to find another salon. They get 1 star from me, horrible customer service, false advertising in pricing, horrible attitudes! read more

I loved this nail salon. Until ... I waited 30 minutes after my appointment time to get my nails done , and after my nails are finished I'm told my prices is 15$ higher then what I was told. I came in for a FILL , then they proceeded to take my acrylics off then showing me how much my real nails have grown and I was intrigued so they proceed with the SNS which is still cheaper than the FILL price. I show them the design (which 3 nails were ombré) I personally would think they would give me the courtesy of saying "hey that's a 10$ extra fee to do Ombre" .... and in my defense I've never had this fancy thing done before so I never knew there was an upcharge for Ombre. Still I am pleased with my nails but then come to checking out and am told my price is 15$ more than what I originally came in for!!! They need to have signs or tell you when you show them the design that there will be an up charge. I was soooo frustrated with already having to start my nails 35 minutes later than my appointment time .. tired and exhausted thinking I could come in and relax I just had the rug swept up from right under me. And I wasn't the only one who had a late appointment today. I loved this nail salon until today happened. This place is great ONLY because of Dorothy and Kevin!!! Don't go to anyone else for SNS!! They are amazing and their technique and attention to detail is PERFECTION!! When they eventually leave (and they will because they are PHENOMENAL nail artists that are so much better than a strip mall in Corona) I will follow!! Other than that the salon is decent. For an area like this (Corona) I guess it's considerably nicer than most local nail salons. It's clean and organized. I appreciate the updated decor. And most of the staff is pretty friendly. There are so many comments by selfish egomaniac clients about waiting!! I was wondering...How do you act like, "I scheduled an appointment on the busiest day/time of the week but I had to wait"...uh, Hold up! Have you never scheduled an appointment before and not been asked to wait? I've also seen these same clients show up 15 min late forcing all other appointment to get behind schedule. And even then the staff accommodates them and doesn't turn them away all while still providing quality service. Good service is never rushed... Dorothy & Kevin are ALWAYS worth the wait!! All I can say is AMAZING!!!! This shop is so bomb from top to bottom. Brand new everything the shop is so cute TVs everywhere & they have so many employees. They are open until 8pm are you kidding ??? Definitely killing the game. They have different colors designs you name it. I got a pedicure to try it out on the day before Xmas eve. Land did my pedi she was so good my pedicure is still good it's been at least 2 weeks. I also went yesterday and got Nancy to do my nails. Made an appointment for Saturday morning. It was super busy but they saw me right away. The girls at the front desk were super helpful- they asked if a wanted a water while I waited for my nails to soak. Daisy did my SNS nails. They look so sharp and clean! She was super nice and sweet, would totally recommend her! Sometimes they don't talk to you at all, but she was asking my about my morning and my holiday plans. The nail shop is beautiful! I went here for the first tome and they took me in about 20 minutes. The pedicure was awesome but I got pink to white ombré acrylics and I don't think the girl knew how to do them. I spend about $75 here and then went to another nail place to have them fixed in a couple days. I would go back for the pedicures!! read more

Stopped in because I was in dire need of a fill. The shop is very beautiful and the stations are far apart unlike other shops where your elbow to elbow and the techs are talking nonstop. Not here. Loved that. I was upset they wouldn't do the fill on my french powder nails because they didn't have the matching natural power which is understandable. So I ended up having to get a completely new set. Two stars off because one hand is shiny and the other is matte. I don't live in this area so I can't just go back and have it fixed. I will probably give this place another try if I'm in the area again read more

Very nice salon and friendly staff. As I walked in, I was greeted. Awesome! It was close to closing time and they still took me for a pedi. Won't do that again. Once I was seated and my pedi was starting. The nice lady asked me what package I wanted. I went for a nice one that involved moscato. Yes! So after about fifteen minutes I had to ask her if they were bringing me the moscato? She was rushing & the package I choose wasn't cheap. The owner brought the drink, great! Now I'm watching some of the other ladies washing there tools. Hmmm, let me tell you...all they did was take the brush out of the barbicide and barely brush there tools. Every one of them. No way could that kill the germs. Of course, now I'm worried about fungus. I honestly won't go back just based off how they clean there tools. Don't want to take a chance catching fungus. She kept pushing the menu in my face insisting I needed the $37 treatment. I told her just the basic and after the fourth time of her pushing the menu at me I asked to speak to the manager. Her replacement told me I needed more, which I didn't. Finally gave me the basic I kept asking for. She was rough and hurt me twice. After a year of going there, I will be looking for a new salon. So a year later I try again. On Halloween I did get an okay pedicure but take CASH. They charged me .99 to use my card but did not tell me my bank would charge me $2.50 for non Chase ATM.Will be searching for a new salon. read more

Honestly so disappointed with my visit here. I saw the reviews and looked at the photos and videos and fell in love with the thin classic look of the coffin shaped nails. The day of my appointment I told my nail tech that I liked that they did nice thin acrylic nails and that I wanted a coffin shape. Idk what shape these nails are but it for sure isn't coffin shaped (the sides were so long and wide that I had to file them myself) AND they didn't have the color I wanted so I had to settle for this color that the tech convinced me was nice. At the end of the treatment the tech goes "there, no more man hands". Absolutely rude and insulting! When I went home, I realized that I hated the color and called to ask if they could change the color and the manager said no because "I chose the color" what kind of costumer service is that? Anyway, they charged me $48 for the acrylic and shape (even though the shape was lacking hard) and I tipped. Definitely not coming back. read more

Today is Monday and I went in on Thursday morning. I received a pedicure from Mona and a SNS manicure from Emily. Mona was AMAZING! She took care of my poor feet and gave me a lot of advice on how to keep them looking and feeling good while asking about my life and talking to me the entire time. I will definitely be returning for Mona! Emily on the other hand... was not interested in making conversation at all.. it was so awkward.. I'm overall really upset with my manicure. This was my 2nd time getting SNS at Area One and in general. First of all, I picked a white with glitter for my color, but was so upset when my nails turned out a translucent white with no glitter.. pretty disappointing when these are for my engagement pictures :( but oh well I blamed it on myself. Not even 24 hours later, my first nail chips... ugh but I blame it on myself... another 12 hours and my 2nd nail chips. Now this is really disappointing. 4 days later and almost every single nail is chipped or cracked, and having to work in the food industry means I have to remove all of my nails so that they don't fall into guests food. I didn't have any kind of issues like this for weeks the last time I went to Area One for SNS, so I'm really sad about this time :( read more

As a child of parents who owned a small business, I know it's not an easy endeavor. Something I've come to realize though, is that businesses that treat their customers well are more often than not successful, thriving and assets I their community. I am sad to say they have lost all respect as a business in my opinion and I will not be coming back nor will I recommend this salon to anyone! I have been coming to this salon for a couple years now and have even referred so many of my family and friends who have also been coming, but I have seen a SERIOUS decline in the way they treat people. I've had a series of bad experiences with poor quality nail craftsmanship and HORRIBLE customer service. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so I gave them another chance, but this last incident made me lose all faith in area one. After telling the technician Leann how I would like my nails, she assured me she can do it. Then as she was working with her headphones on she told me my nail was crooked (total Angela Johnson moment) and then told me my nails are going to look weird. She then tried to convince me to do something else. When I told her I just what what I asked for, she got up and left!! She sent the poor receptionist girl to tell me that she can't do what I asked. That should've been communicated from the beginning! Although they sent someone to try and remediate the situation, that behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful and a complete waste of my time! That is not how you treat people EVER! Epic Fail! read more

Nice nail salon but okay service. It seems some of them don't really speak/understand English. I tried to ask for almond shaped nails multiple times but was met with blank stares. I tried to show them what that looked like on my phone and instead they just kept going with my manicure. My honey pedicure was great, though. It was really my manicurist lady that I was deeply unsatisfied with. Will probably not come back because of it since there are plenty of better nail salons in the area. read more

DO NOT go to NANCY. She's awful and rude. The sns nails she did for me only lasted 3 days so I went back to get them fixed and after she "fixed" them they broke in 3 days again. I've been getting my nails done consistently for over 5 years and I have never had such disappointing service. On top of that I'm seven months pregnant so trust me when I say I'm not doing anything crazy let alone lifting anything heavy for my nails to even break but she told me that it's my fault and I'm doing something wrong.
