Spicy popcorn
Nathan D.

Dropped in after a show at abv gallery. We ended up getting a few things and sharing. Food was decent.. we got the spicy popcorn, poutine, and a dip.. to b honest I like the popcorn more than anything else. The other stuff wasn't bad. I guess just not really for me. If I could give another half star I easily would. Service was good and we were seated pretty quickly.

I have been to this restaurant a couple of times since I gathered my notes/pics and actually submitted this review. As we pulled up closer to the restaurant, I was figuring out the parking situation when I noticed they actually have a midsize lot reserved just for restaurant guests--free of charge We walked in, passing by the patio, and were warmly greeted at the entrance. We let them know we were a party of two hoping to sit outside, and they quickly accommodated us. We were handed a couple of menus and started to review all our options. The beer list was serious--super extensive. I needed a few minutes to make a decision. Wifey asked for a Blue Moon, but unfortunately, they didn't have it. While we kept reviewing the menu, our server did mention a special appetizer: pork empanadas. We were intrigued and decided to give them a shot. There were a bunch of hazy IPAs on the list, and the server was great about bringing out a few tasters to help me make a final decision. I ended up going with the New Lord from Magnanimous Brewery, which hit the spot. I also asked about the Nashville hot chicken sandwich--wanted to know how spicy it really was. The server let me know it wasn't too hot, but they could put the sauce on the side, which worked perfectly for me. Wifey went with a combo of southern inspired sides: collard greens and mac & cheese. The greens even came with a cornbread muffin, which was a cool bonus. Our empanadas arrived first--crispy, flavorful, this turned out to be a great recommendation from our server. Not long after, the rest of the food followed. My chicken sandwich had an amazing crunch, and while the hot sauce on the side wasn't particularly spicy, the flavor was solid. The sandwich came with a nice small side salad. Wifey enjoyed her Southern-inspired sides but did mention the collard greens were a bit on the salty side. I asked for a couple more beer samples to decide on round two and ended up going with another New Lord Hazy IPA. As we sat there, we noticed the place was buzzing with activity--it's clearly a popular spot. All in all, we really enjoyed our first visit. Great vibes, solid food, and awesome service. I would suggest sitting on the open patio to do some people watching, as you hang out. Definitely planning to come back and explore more of the menu. Instagram: @whatsthenextmemory

Was in the area, and was starving and passed Argosy. It has always been on my list so I decided to finally eat there, so glad I did. Super cool space, the server was great one of the best smash burgers I've ever had, juicy and flavorful. I will without a doubt be back! You're welcome.

Argosy is a gorgeous restaurant, with a mountain cabin feel. A lot of delicious beer to choose from and I heard their pizza is really good. Service was great. We had the poutine and we loved it.

One of my favorite " dive " bars to go to for pizza and beer. The ambience is great and the food is actually really good

We hit up Argosy late night with zero expectations, especially considering my allergies (gluten, corn, and oats). But let me tell you -- they held it the f** down*. I had this chicken dish in a rich tomato sauce with vegetables, and it was incredible. The flavors were on point, the food came out hot and fresh, and those cocktails? Fire. Even at a time when most places are wrapping up, Argosy was delivering like it was peak dinner hour. Highly recommend -- if they're this good late night, imagine any other time of day. A whole vibe.

Boss hog! Damn Rodger can make a pie! Best pizza I've had all year and I'm not bullshitting because that's my boy!

Good craft beer selection and great pizza. Rodger can hook up that pie. Damn! Best pie I've had in a minute. Better than anticos.

Great spot! The inside is very cool and very spacious. They have a nice combo of inside, outside, and hybrid dining. We enjoyed a delightful cheeseburger and Mac & cheese. Those were the standouts. They have a nice large list of beers, cocktails, and wine. A friendly rainbow flag hangs in the entrance~ thank you!!

Argosy was introduced to me as a real cozy tavern like spot to get some good food and drinks and I think there's some truth to that. Service here is kinda strange. My two buddies and I were seated very isolated from the rest of the patrons and our waitress didn't even introduce herself to us--I literally had to ask what her name was. On top of that, she just straight up seemed like she didn't want to be there. We ended up moving to a different location because we were so siloed so we ended up with a different waitress and it was the same story! Hardly interested in us for some reason. I tried smiling at the staff whenever I'd walk past and never got a smile in return. The beer here is fine, if not flat as seen in the pics I posted. There is a really nice late night deal where you get a free cheese pizza if you order two draft beers.

While everything was excellent, the Double Bacon Jam Burger stole the show. It was simply world-class. The beef was juicy and flavorful, the bacon jam added the perfect sweet-and-savory kick, and the bun was unbelievably soft--like biting into a pillow of goodness. Every bite was outstanding and easily one of the best burgers I've had anywhere. The Parmesan Truffle Fries were every bit as memorable. Crispy, loaded with flavor, and perfectly seasoned, they became the center of attention at our table. In fact, the three of us were literally fighting over the last few fries. That's about the highest compliment a side dish can receive. The restaurant itself has a clean, modern atmosphere with a great vibe. The dining room is comfortable and inviting, the service was friendly and efficient, and the food arrived looking every bit as good as it tasted. If you're anywhere near Briarcliff Road, Hopdoddy is absolutely worth the visit. Come hungry, order the Double Bacon Jam Burger, and don't skip the Parmesan Truffle Fries. You'll understand why three grown adults were battling over the last fry. We'll definitely be back.

Stockyard Burgers & Bones was PHENOMENAL…read more Let's start with the star of the show: the bacon burger. Juicy. Flavorful. Cooked just right. The bacon didn't just show up , it showed out. Crispy, savory, and perfectly paired with the burger. Then came the garlic parm fries... listen... those alone deserve their own review. Dangerous. Everything tasted fresh and made to order, which always hits different. You can tell care went into every plate. The vibe? Perfect for any moment ; casual lunch, date night, family outing, or just treating yourself after a long day. Definitely a hidden gem, and I'll absolutely be back ASAP. Hands down one of the best burgers I've had in a while. The D-Tay Yay or Nay?! Order the bacon burger + garlic parm fries combo and thank me later. I had the Cobb salad (no bacon) with green goddess dressing, which was fresh and really flavorful, plus the smoked chicken was a nice touch. My wife ordered the haddock with a Caesar salad and it was fried perfectly with a generous portion. I had to taste a piece of fish and it was really good! We also took the bread pudding to go huge slice, homemade taste, and a great way to end the meal. If we're on this side of town again, we'd definitely come back. Our waitress did a good job very helpful snd friendly!

While we were only going to order entrees, Taylor suggested we order an appetizer. She suggested the deviled egg trio and when it was mentioned that there were some dietary restrictions on the toppings she told us we could have them all done traditionally. Unfortunately the order was prepared incorrectly so they had to remake it. Taylor apologized for the error and the delay and the item was comped. When our entrees arrived at the table my burger was also incorrect and had to be sent back to the kitchen. Overall we all thought the food items were underwhelming. Precisely prepared but lacking seasoning and flavor. Been a long time since any of us had to add salt/pepper to a plate of shrimp and grits. Taylor was awesome with the service component so it might be worth a second visit but so many other places to try ....
