They let me come in same day to fix a broken crown. Built the new one onsite and walked out same day with no pain. The first time I went I needed a night guard from grinding. My hygienist identified the problem before I did. She massaged my jaw and head, and asked me how I was sleeping at night. When I told her not well, she said she wasn't surprised because i was grinding my teeth. I left their office feeling about 10 pounds lighter from the short massage, and the cleaning was gentle and pleasant as usual. I honestly enjoy going to the dentist. I look forward to my time to sit back and relax in the chair for a while.

They do a great job with cleanings, fillings and other work we as a family have had done. Today my son broke a tooth at school and we went in as an emergency visit. They were on it IMMEDIATELY. They also showed such kindness and compassion that it just fills my heart. I definitely trust them and their ability to take care of my family.

4 hours ago New This…read moreemail from Northlake Dentistry should explain everything about them. Focus is on extra charges not the service. Half the things mentioned here are lies. 1) No one can advance notice of 24 hours if someone catch a cold. 2) These guys didnt even complete the replacement procedure with permanent crown and rused in charging late fee, so cheap. 3) These guys asked me to pay full amount ($740) on May 13th itself when they installed temporary crown. In the below email its a lie they only quoted half the amount. Mistake is on our side for one appointment where i showed in a wrong time, however all the other times there is a genuine reason. Policies should accomodate and be courtious, but not to rip-off customers like this. If doctor is waiting in the room and you dont step in be careful, they might add a late fee for that even such a joke. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Detalied email northlake sent to us : Please see attached documents from your visits related to crown #30. I am including the pre-D, your patient ledger, and the statements from your 2 visits. The pre-D lists a total patient portion of $740. On the date of service, May 13, 2025, half was due ($370). You did not bring your credit card to that appointment, but we told you we could send a payment request that was due at the end of the day by 5pm. That was not paid, so we added a $25 late fee. Your husband came in on May 27th and paid the original $370, but not the fee. On June 4th, there was a missed appointment because you thought your appointment was at 4pm. We charged a $50 fee for that day because it was the third time for a missed appointment. We waived the first 2 fees for you on May 5th and May 27th. Your final appointment was on June 9th. On that day, you paid the other half of the crown ($370), plus the late payment fee ($25), plus the missed appointment fee. ($50). Total on June 9th is $445. Our policy is to notify us at least 24hrs in advance if you need to reschedule. For Monday appointments, the cutoff is 12pm on Friday. You can call us, leave a voicemail, or send us a text. Any time we do not have 24hr notice in one of those ways, there will be a $50 fee added to that appointment. If you have any questions, please feel free to call 469-307-5093. If we are unable to answer the phone, please leave a voicemail. We will return your call same day.

After my appointment on 02/24/26, I was debating if I should post a review but since I received a…read moretext from Harpole to please do so, here I go... My family and I have been coming to Harpole since we moved to the area in 2023. At the time, I noticed they looked like they were a new practice with a clean and modern look. The gentleman who had worked at the front desk (Keith) was always very friendly & engaging and we always chatted for a few minutes while I waited my turn to go back for my cleaning. Since my initial visit, I have gone back every 6 months. My latest visit on 02/24/26 was the first day I didn't encounter Keith at my check-in, and I don't see him listed on their website so I assume he may no longer be working there. I think I have had a different hygienist at each visit and have been seen by no less than 3 dentists across my handful of visits, so I have never had a chance to build a longstanding relationship with any of them (as I had been accustomed to with my previous dental office in another state). As with any medical office/team, the longer you're with them, the better they know you and your history and can see trends and give you better advice/tips based on that. Unfortunately, my last visit left me wondering if it's time to look for a new dental office. This is due to multiple things that left me scratching my head (to put it mildly). The first was how little time the dentist spent with me today for my cleaning. Apart from the initial polishing by the hygienist (who was decent), the dentist didn't do prolonged cleaning and focused almost exclusively on my front teeth. I am accustomed to much more time and focus dedicated to all my teeth so to say I felt like he was in a rush would be an understatement. He also looked at my chart and said I hadn't come in since last February (2025), which I knew was not the case. I pulled out my phone to verify on my calendar when my last appointment was, and wouldn't you know it was just 6 months prior just as it should have been? Then he said, "oh yeah - I see it here now". Odd... But this wasn't the first time the team either didn't take a good look at my chart or didn't have proper notes to review from the last visit or prior visits. That never happened to me once at my previous dentist's and it's happened twice now in just a handful of visits to Harpole over the past 2+ years. Lastly, the dentist burned the inside of my lower lip with his cleaning tool (whatever it's called). Although he casually apologized, admitted there was a burn, and asked the assistant to apply a gob of Vaseline on it and to increase the flow of water into my mouth for the rest of the cleaning, it still stung and was very swollen 2+ hours later...to the point where eating was not easy/comfortable. It took 3 days before the burn & swelling subsided enough for me to be comfortable. As the appointment concluded, the dentist gave me the usual tips on flossing and how to brush and shook my hand at the end so kudos to him for being a nice fella all in all. I was really hoping to stick with Harpole for the foreseeable future because I don't like to change my medical/dental practitioners (unless I am forced to because of a change in my insurance or because of moving to a new area) but I think it's time for me to make that change now. It's too bad because Harpole is conveniently located for me, but I think too many things that could have gone better during my recent visit is the final straw for my family and me.

I am honestly shocked by my experience…read more The woman working the front desk was incredibly unprofessional and, in my opinion, is a liability to this practice. My insurance was billed incorrectly using my previous carrier, and instead of helping resolve the issue, she repeatedly insisted it was my fault because the employee who originally took my insurance information "didn't update the system correctly." She continued to tell me that no insurance card had been scanned into my file, despite the fact that I explained multiple times that MetLife doesn't issue insurance cards. Rather than listening or trying to help, she became increasingly hostile. When I politely asked if I could speak with someone else, she refused and instead told me she "wasn't comfortable" continuing the conversation and that I could call back "when I was calm." The irony is that I wasn't the one who had become confrontational. Unfortunately, this was just the latest in a long list of issues. Over time I've dealt with repeated problems involving insurance, billing, and appointment scheduling. At some point, enough is enough. Dr. Hooper, my experiences with you have always been positive, but your front desk staff is representing your practice poorly. They are the first impression patients have, and interactions like this are damaging your reputation and costing you business. I hope this feedback is taken seriously because the level of customer service I experienced today was completely unacceptable.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this dental office. I was charged for cavity work…read morethat I later discovered was not accurate, and after reviewing the charges, I was overcharged by $200 (even though I mentioned this when I first paid and was promised a refund once insurance gave the EOB). I have been trying to resolve this directly with the office and request a refund for the amount I was incorrectly charged, but my calls and messages have gone unanswered. Because I was unable to get a response or resolution, I had to file a complaint with my credit card company to dispute the charge. I expected better communication and customer service from a healthcare provider. I hope the office improves its communication and works to address billing concerns more transparently with patients. Sadly, this is not the first time it happened. They like to overcharge you and then keep the extra money as credit on your account (but are not transparent about this either).
