I've been to Ariana's before for breakfast and lunch and enjoyed the food. Yesterday a couple of friends took me there and I decided to have the Chile rellenos...it was just before noon. Bad choice! Although they "looked tasty" once I tried to cut into them, it was not easy since the chiles were stringy and there was hardly any cheese. I tried the second one and it was the same along with a watery sauce so you can imagine what the plate looked like...I told the waitress and thought they would credit the tab, but "I picked at it" so no way. Also the waiter told my friend he had sold many of the same item already. Really? We had arrived before lunch and most folks were having breakfast as were my two friends. Since I was in Salinas visiting my friend and I had a hankering...We ordered the Vegetarian omelet and split it. (not too much of an appetite) We had a side of bacon and hash browns. Lovely breakfast spot! Hidden in a strip mall. My mother adored the coffee. She wished she could sit there all day and drink it! Staff was wonderfully attentive. Found out about Ariana's through word of mouth , this little spot is hidden next to Many businesses , while it doesn't stand out- it's service, quality of food and prompt makes up for it. I had the chilaquilles and we split the Biscuits and gravy. Both choices hit the "spot" good portions and full of flavor. Will be back soon. read more

We stumbled across Ariana's accidentally while looking for a bagel shop nearby, but something about this place caught our eye -- perhaps the clean and simple appearance. The owner greeted and seated us in a very efficient and friendly manner. We ordered french toast (not on the menu but she was happy to accomodate) extra crispy with bacon and eggs over medium, and pancakes (she happily added walnuts upon request) with ham and eggs over easy. Everything was delicious. The orange juice tasted extremely fresh, the food was excellent, and she even brought peanut butter to spread on my pancakes -- for some reason restaurants never have peanut butter. My favorite part was being asked "How is everything? Did you get everything just the way you like it?" Yes, I can honestly say we did. :) The dining area is updated, clean, and bustling. I am a fan of this place! So I am not from this city, I just stooped by to visit some family and while I was here I enjoyed a nice breakfast at this Resturant. This is a typical american dinner style Resturant but mostly focuses on breakfast food. The prices are good and the service is good as well. If your in the mood for breakfast and do t want to wait in a long time like the typical Ihop & dennys then this is a good place to come. They have the same food for better price. I am from the OC area and ate there while visiting with family this past week. I had the shrimp taco plate and was pleasantly surprised. I also sampled the red sauce chilaquiles. The food was amazing and as close as you will get to a traditional Mexican home cooked meal. The prices are reasonable. Will definitively be a returning customer. This is our go to breakfast place. It is in a quirky older strip mall off of Main Street, but there is a ton of parking and it is easy to find. The food is awesome and the portions are just right. Prices could not be better. The owners always seem genuinely happy to see you when you walk in. My favorite here is the chile verde, which can be ordered with beans and potatoes or beans and rice, in an omelet, or with eggs. Corn tortillas on the side are amazing. DH orders biscuits and gravy or eggs and bacon. Both are better than average. read more

Cold Tacos. My husband ordered two tacos and by the time his plate came, they looked like the tortillas weren't even heated. The waitress never came back to ask us if we needed anything. We had to flag the other waiter for more drinks. We really wanted to like this place but we left with mixed feelings. At $40 for lunch, not sure we will be coming back. Had the Chile rellenos not great. Seemed like they were frozen and microwaved flat and soggy. Recipe could be changed the sauce it was topped with needs some love put into it. Beans and rice seemed the same reheated from another day. Hubby had bacon, eggs and hash browns and he said the bacon was good. I tasted the hash browns they were good too. They did keep our coffee topped off and it was good coffee. Service was nice no wait for a seat and it is a small place but we went on a Friday at around 10. Came for breakfast after reading reviews. Ordered sausage & eggs. Sausage patties tasted like freezer burn and/or stored for long time & French toast was burnt. The two male servers don't have much to say beyond taking order so don't expect good customer service. The owner, when she comes out of the kitchen, is cheery and friendly. The servers are also the bussers so If you don't want cross contamination of germs....I watched my server clear/remove glasses(sticking fingers in glasses to hold them together)then wipe table & serve food. Maybe it was an off day for my food to come out the way it did? I should've just ordered bacon. The prices are reasonable, which is a plus but you get what you pay for. read more

Hospitality was great. I came here to try the chile verde and ended up ordering chile colorado instead. My mistake. The beef was too chewy, only option was to swallow some pieces whole or spit them out. The beans were dry and crumbly meaning they were sitting on my plate in the back for too long or they're from an older batch. The flour tortillas were good and the salad was fresh. I ended up soaking my hash browns in the red sauce and ate that. I might be back to try the chile verde only because the owner was so sweet. read more

Worst restaurant I've ever been to. The bacon was raw. I asked for no onions in my food, it came with onions and I asked the waitress if they could remove the onions and she refused. The waitress also had an attitude and was very rude. Later on, she never came back to our table and just attended the tables around us. Will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

What a wonderful place to have breakfast. We were traveling up the coast after spending Christmas in Cambria, CA. We found Ariana's on Yelp and decided to give them a try, and boy are we glad that we did . The service was excellent and the food was wonderful. I had the Garden Omelette which was full of tasty veggies, a fruit cup that was awesome, and slices of sourdough bread. Are waitress made us feel welcomed with her pleasant smile and great service. Food is okay. However they are understaffed.. I waited quite a while to get my tab. I noticed a lady ask for butter and then after getting tired of waiting for so long she went up and got it herself. It's not the workers fault, only two of them working a full restaurant. Good came out in a timely matter and it was good. Tables that were empty weren't getting turned over quick because staff was busy taking orders and delivering food. One more person. Would make the opperation run much smoother. read more
