Beef Koobideh, Chicken Koobideh, Beef Barg

TLDR: It's one of the better Mediterranean spots that I've been to. I really enjoyed their chicken, beef, and appetizers. My one complaint is that they're priced a bit more than my go-to spot. I don't mind that they see themselves that way, I just feel that a bit more rice and meat would've really made the familly meal worth it. Mirza Ghasemi: It's interesting how the many Mediterranean restaurants that I've been to all have a roasted eggplant appetizer, and they rarely taste the same. I feel that Aria's belongs in the top 5, and it pairs well with their Naan. Hummus: I sadly don't have enough knowledge to differentiate between good and bad hummus. I thought the hummus was good, and it's a classic. Naan: Bread is bread. Just serve it hot, and it's hard to hate, especially with sides. Tomato, Onion: Roasted well, soft, and pairs well with the rest of the meal. Rice: I'm yet to find a Mediterranean with bad rice. I'm glad that still holds true. Beef Koobideh: It's the most unique beef koobideh that I've ever had. My one complaint in general with these is that you have to eat them fresh. I was impressed that the quality of this koobideh stayed well throughout the meal. Normally, it's a 2nd placer for most restaurants compared to the barg, but I feel that Aria's beef koobideh is good enough to directly compete with the barg. Chicken Koobideh: It's better than fine. I don't normally enjoy these enough to recommend ordering it, but I can confidently say that this is worth trying. Beef Barg: It meets the standard of what the barg is supposed to be. You get the heavily seasoned beef that's easy to cut and chew. I think it's a step or half step below the best I've had, but it doesn't take anything away from the meat as a whole. Service: Very good. It's a small family operation, but they time things properly. Food came in at a reasonable time period, and we were checked on frequently. Ambiance: A small restaurant that seats less than 30 but it doesn't feel too tight. It's clean and I think it deserves more business.

Aria's easily deserves a 5-star rating. The food is simply outstanding. If you're looking for Persian/Middle Eastern/Mediterranean, this is the spot to visit. You know the food is going to be good when the restaurant is busy on a Thursday week night. We got there around 7pm on a Thursday, and all the tables were taken up by what looked like locals and regulars. That's a great sign. The restaurant itself is very clean and on the smaller side. There are less than 10 tables. The chicken and beef koobideh is outstanding. The meat is incredibly tender and flavorful. The rice is cooked to perfection. And the charred tomato and onion add a nice grill taste to the food. We also ordered the Mizra Ghasemi appetizer and it was absolutely delicious. It's smoky garlic tomato eggplant dip. We'd come back in a heartbeat.

We came here after my boyfriend's friend from S.P. highly recommended this place. We walked in and were met by Alma and her husband, the owners. We were seated, and we asked for appetizer suggestions. She was so nice and helpful, she recommended Mirza Ghasemi, tomato eggplant, and Shiraz Salad for appetizers. Both were so delicious. For the main dish, we had Beef Shish Kabob; the fillet mignon was tender, and the basmati rice was soft and fluffy and delicious, and the Beef Barg was just as good. The Tea was good. After dinner, you have to try their dessert, wow, delicious. Highly recommend this small but delicious Food. I have to point out that Arias Grill was much better than O.S on 2nd St in L.B. Of course, I can't write the full name, but you know which one. Plenty of parking.

From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. The ambiance is spacious, inviting, and smells amazing as soon as you enter. I was greeted with a warm smile, which immediately made me feel welcome. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Everyone worked together to assist us from start to finish, and they were very helpful when it came to answering questions and helping us order. When the food arrived, it was steaming hot and absolutely delicious. Every dish was perfectly seasoned--no extra spices, sauces, salt, or pepper needed. The flavors spoke for themselves! This was honestly some of the best food I've had in South Bay. The combination of great service, wonderful atmosphere, and outstanding food made for an amazing experience. I can't wait to come back!

Hands down my favorite spot in the south bay!! The portions are easily enough for two people, but honestly I could finish the whole thing myself...I'm not even a leftovers person, but I actually dream about eating my Aria's the next day, it's that good lol. I used to always get Lebanese food when I worked in Hollywood, and after I left I couldn't find anything in the South Bay that compared. Then I tried Aria's. I know it's not Lebanese, but it definitely hits that same craving for really good middle eastern food. Don't overthink it...just order from Aria's. You won't be disappointed. 100/10 recommend!!!!

This cute restaurant is located in a busy plaza and a bit hidden but its very cozy and clean inside. As I walked in to order my meal I couldn't help but look at all the diners' food and they all looked delicious. Their menu has a variety to choose from, many options! I ordered the chicken and beef koobideh. The portion is quite massive. It came with a pack of pita bread but no hummus or anything to dip the pita bread in. Having pita without hummus or a dip is a bit odd but next time ill order a side of hummus, no biggie. I also like how they provide a quarter of a raw onion because I love onion. I will definitely come back and try more dishes. Thank you Aria!

This place is the real deal best persian kabob spot in the south bay. Forget about other places that are not even authentic Persian kabob places, they are usually greek or indian style kabobs with herbs and different additives. Persian style is the best because the meat itself is the star of the show, juicy and flavorful. I got the beef and chicken koobideh which was spectacular! Both juicy, fresh and flavorful. The basmati rice is fluffy. The tomato is roasted perfection. It all melds together into a symphony of bliss. Its high restaurant grade quality. The place is clean and the staff is extremely friendly. Will be back here for my kabob fix every time!

The best Mediterranean food in town, everything is delicious and freshly made. This is a family owned business, the real deal. Not only is dine in and take out good, my friends and I have ordered their food for a couple of parties and it was a hit! Portions are generous and the food is high quality. I love the chicken tender kabob. My friends love the Cornish game hen and chicken koobideh. The meals come with rice and a roasted tomato and onion. The owners are friendly and accommodating to dietary restrictions.

Well GDang! I have been craving some Mediterranean and have been kinda disappointed by some of the local South Bay offerings. I've tried a handful of places, some in Gardena, Torrance, Redondo... I used to always go to Panini Grill in the OC or Irvine Grill. As I finished ordering the beef soltani, a lady with her daughter were picking up a take out order. I decided to go wait in my car since it's cook to order which was about 20 minutes. I held the door for them on the way out and she tells me, "this is the best Mediterranean in the South Bay." Lady, YOU DID NOT LIE! Serving size for price is good. If not eating like I was starving, it was probably enough for three servings. The meat was so tender,not needing a knife to slice. The cashier and server were super nice as well. This is going to be my go to for sure!

We tried Aria's Grill for the first time and really enjoyed it! It's a small Persian spot in the Harbor Gateway area, not far from Torrance. It's in a busy little strip mall where most of the parking is limited to 30 minutes, so just a heads up. The lady working there--she was both the hostess and our server--was super friendly, welcoming, and really made us feel at home. We started with the Tahdig (crispy rice) and Maast-o-Khiar (yogurt with cucumbers), and both were really good. For mains, we had the Cornish chicken with basmati rice and grilled tomatoes. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right--we loved it! We also ordered the grilled lamb chops and beef shish kabob, and we specifically asked for both to be cooked medium rare. We even said if that wasn't possible, we'd order something else. The lamb chops came out perfect--tender, well-seasoned, and cooked just how we asked. But the beef kabob was more medium well. To her credit, our server was super apologetic. She told us she had communicated our request but figured the kitchen may have gotten busy and overcooked it. She offered to take it off the check and invited us back to try again--which we really appreciated. Even with that small hiccup, everything we tried was delicious, and the service was great. We'll definitely be back to try more!

So, I've been jonesing for Persian food since my go-to place (Seaside Palace) went out of business. Tried several places and they just haven't worked out. That is.... until today. Aria's Grill takes over the space of a Filipino Restaurant named Silog. They added a Persian mural, and it pretty much looks the same. This place has been in business since March 2025 per our server/owner. The server/owner made you feel like you're a guest in his home. The menu was very close to Seaside Palace. How was the execution? Excellent. I ordered the beef and chicken koobideh, while the fam stuck with beef koobideh and the beef shish kebab. Mrs. Yelper and my two mini-Yelpers all gave thumbs up. The koobideh was reminiscent of Seaside Palace's. Both the beef and chicken were juicy with the right amount of char. The rice was perfect. We also ordered the tahdig with the ghormyeh. Excellent too. The prices were reasonable for the amount of food they give you. Bottom line, will I be back? Yes. This will be my go to place for dine-in and take out. Food was superb! Had the chicken and beef koobideh which was huge portions and very flavorful with decent prices. Also ordered their kashke bademjam which is an eggplant dip type dish that i love. Loved how the staff, the father and son, were super attentive and helpful excellent hospitality. The art on their wall had meaning and love which goes back to their roots and culture. We came here for a Saturday lunch on a whim and were so happy with our experience. The restaurant was small and clean, but there were plenty of places to sit. The waitstaff was kind, prompt, and personable. I was very impressed with the food: The rice was delicious and flavorful, the meat well seasoned and tender, and it came with a house-made tomato sauce that I really enjoyed. I also had a Persian drink and found it to be very refreshing and different. We finished off the meal with a delightfully sweet dessert that I am still thinking about. Have picked up take out three times. Service seems friendly and pick up is always ready on time. Got the lunch special boneless chicken thigh. Chicken was juicy and flavorful. There was a lot of rice. 2nd time got their beef soltani (barg +koobideh) from their recommendation and the regular chicken thigh item. Preferred the flavor of the chicken than the beef. The amount of meat seemed to be about the same between the lunch special and regular chicken but with more rice. Felt like the food was better the first time or maybe I was just hungry. read more

My wife and I love koobideh so this place was a must try for us. It's a solid spot with generous portions. Each plate was enough for two meals with rice leftover! We got the small tub of the cucumber yogurt sauce, and that was the perfect complement to the meal. The only con was the koobideh was a bit under seasoned in my opinion, but we'll have to try again to confirm. read more

I've been wanting to try Persian food and when I heard this restaurant opened in town, I figured this was my opportunity. I went for takeout and ordered ghormeh sabzi with rice and baklava. My food was ready in under 10 minutes. I love middle eastern food so I fully expected to enjoy this. And it was indeed delicious! Generous portion as well. Okay I'm from Detroit, so I'm a tough audience with this cuisine. I only had one meal that I thought was as good as Detroit in countless tries and other restaurants but today I found a second. Aria has fantastic food, I mean seriously amazing, great service, good people with good hearts and their prices are more than reasonable. New Persian restaurant in Torrance - let's go. I got the Ash-e-Reshteh and the Chicken Barg. The soup was nice and hearty. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Service was very friendly. For the meal, there's an option of half rice/half salad vs all rice. The red sauce included with the meal is a butter sauce made of butter, tomatoes and sumac. Finally! A authentic persian restaurant in the southbay. I grew up going to seaside palace but they fell off over the years and now they are closed. Ive tried literally every "persian" place in the southbay. I've been hearing good things about this place so i decided to give it a go, and boy im glad i did! This is the first one that reminds me of my grandmas cooking. I got the chicken soltani which ill give a solid 8.7 . The koobideh had more flavor than the barg but they were both cooked perfectly. Nice and juicy. Being able to do half and half of the specialty rices even when you order on Uber Eats is amazing. The baghali polo is phenomenal 9.2 and the loobia is a 9.1. Most places put way too much cinnamon when its supposed to be a savory dish. This loobia polo is near perfect. Mastokhiar was good as well! Happy to have an authentic persian joint around. The service is amazing at this small restaurant. I got the luncheon special. They have the most wonderful cherry rice. The beef is like ground beef. The parking can be a little tricky as most of the curbs are painted 30 min time zone, so if you meet with friends you may have to park in the central area of the lot. read more

This was our first time here and let me say they definitely exceeded my expectations! I was craving Persian food and found this place on yelp. It was further than I would like to drive but it was worth it and we will definitely be returning in the near future. The owner was kind and gave our family a warm welcoming. He also recommended the eggplant dish to us, which was really good! Everything was fresh, seasoned well, and super tender. Will definitely return to try more dishes. Came here for lunch on the weekend and ordered the Kashk-e-Bademjan eggplant dip, beef koobideh lunch special, and tahdig crispy rice with fesenjan stew. Every dish was rich in flavor, with meat and veggies grilled to perfection, and the portions were generous. We left full and happy and will definitely be back to try more of the menu. Great food and great service! We ordered the #2 family meal and it was great. The koobideh was cooked to perfection and the chicken breast was juicy and tender. We upgraded the rice to Loubia Polo and it was seasoned just right. The restaurant has booths and tables and has seating for about 50 with a couple of tables outside. This is an excellent option for Persian food in the South Bay. read more

Food was on point. All the kebabs were juicy and flavorful and I always have an issue with what kinda rice to order cuz they are ALL delicious. The stew appetizer with crispy rice also is a must try if you haven't had Persian stews before. We tried three of them. Servings are more than enough that we always have tasty leftovers the next day. The wife and I have gone quite a few times but last nite we invited two other couples to joint us. They were thoroughly impressed and plan to come back. Definitely one or our favorite restaurants with super nice owners and servers. read more

The seating has around 6 or so tables inside that can fit around 4 each, and they also have high chairs for children! I ordered a number 17, which is the gyro, and got a side of hummus and pita then found a table to sit at. I had just finished buckling my child into the high chair when my order was delivered to my table! They are super fast here! The super friendly waiter delivered my meal, and I dug in. The gyro was stuffed with meat! This is a huge deal, since a lot of places skimp and don't give enough. So extra points to Al Hamra for a job well done. The flavor of the meat was juicy and well seasoned, super delish! The hummus and pita was good, although I usually add a bit of spices to my hummus so this one was a little plainer than I'm used to. Either way, it was a nice addition to the meal. The grand finale were the desserts! I usually go for baklava, but decided to try the knafeh, a layered cheese dessert with syrup and pistachios. Get the knafeh! The warm cheese and syrup were so delicious and made for the perfect ending to a good meal! I had heard they serve the best Fesenjoon and Ghormeh Sabzi, which happen to be my favorite Persian dishes, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. The food was out of this world rich, authentic flavors that instantly reminded me of a true homemade Persian meal. Absolutely loved this place. Aria's Grill is a family run Persian spot tucked into a strip mall on Sepulveda, and the moment you walk in the hospitality is genuine and warm. The chicken barg was the star: tender, juicy, beautifully marinated and grilled with that perfect saffron char, served over a mountain of fluffy saffron rice with a grilled tomato I demolished. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, the way it should be. Portions are generous and the value is excellent for what you get. We're so happy we gave this amazing restaurant a try today! It's hands down the best Persian food we've ever had.
