Got the Mediterranean Thursday's Special with the Chicken Fillet Kabob ($11.00). It was a very enjoyable meal. The salad was fresh. The salad dressing was creamy with a little bit of tartness. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The pita was nice and soft. They included some tzatziki sauce, which was really good. The rice was nicely cooked. Service was extremely friendly.

This Thanksgiving week Fabi's Grill is having an awesome deal of 30% off the entire menu! As a fan of Mediterranean food, I was excited to check this place out and the 30% off discount made it the perfect opportunity. I got the their Chicken Fillet Kebob with a side of fries and basmati rice. (Fries for me and basmati rice for my mom who was splitting the plate with me). The plate was indeed perfect for splitting because it was huge. It came with four tender pieces of chicken, some grilled vegetables and four pieces of pita bread. Overall the chicken kebobs were enjoyable. The chicken was smoky and savory and seasoned with a blend of aromatic herbs and spices. It paired well with the fries. I enjoyed my first visit to Fabi's Grill and already planning my next visit back. Aside from the food, service was great! The cashier/server was friendly and kind. I hope to be back for this spot's Pastrami Fries. Another table ordered it and it looked absolutely delicious! Note: The 30% off deal is available till December 1!

This local eatery totally flew under my radar, but I'm glad I stopped by to try them out. They're located in a small strip next to Panda Express, and a closed Starbucks. They have a 100% halal menu, so I was excited by the wide variety they offer. They have daily specials, with the Friday special being a Philly cheesesteak with fries for a very affordable price. The fries were fresh and lightly seasoned, and the cheesesteak was pretty good, juicy sirloin steak and veggies with a good helping of cheese. My only complaint was there was a little too much bread. Highly recommend you check out this place!

New halal spot located right next to that Best Buy! Went here after Jummah with some friends and it seems to be run from the same owner as Fanoos so that's a good sign and they have daily specials with a full halal menu!!! Service was great and fast. We got the Philly cheese steak Friday special and the sandwich was huge, it also came with fries and it was such a good deal. The sandwich itself I'd rate like a 3/5, it was very bread heavy and the cheese wasn't fully melted and the meat was a little skimped on, but considering the price and portion, I still think it was a good deal! Will definitely be back!

What a great vibe. Very welcoming and kind. Located in the small strip mall anchored by Starbucks and Panda Express. Shared parking for all. Lots offered on the menu and they are open for breakfast. I decided on the beef gyros wrap which came with French fries. Several two-tops along the wall and table in front and outdoor dining as well. While I waited, I was given a bottle of ice water. So nice. The take out order also includes a piece of hard candy too. What a nice touch. The beef gyros and fries were delicious and on my way out, two ladies were waiting for their order and they raved about Fabi's Grill. When asked what they usually ordered, they rattled off so many items and then said "anything you order here is fabulous!" Unsolicited compliments are the greatest. Ok, bye.

Fabi's Grill is serving up Mediterranean food in Torrance. Its nestled in a shopping center right next to a Starbucks. It is a small restaurant with a big menu. If you're not into Mediterranean food, don't worry, they also serve burgers, fries, sandwiches, breakfast and more! They also have a catering menu if you want to serve good food for an event. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted. I went straight for a beef gyro wrap and fries. I was the only customer there at the time so my food was ready pretty quickly. The restaurant was clean and tidy. There's also plenty of parking which is always nice! The food was very good! The wrap had lots of textures and flavors and the fries were perfectly crisped.

Food was FANTASTIC! Everything tasted fresh, seasoned well, and priced great too. Service was excellent and staff is very friendly, they make sure your food is perfectly prepared and to your standards. Restaurant is clean and has good dining music. If you want a refreshing Mediterranean lunch this is THE place to be!

Torrance Food Crawl #422 Fabi's Grill has a Mediterranean-influenced menu, and while it is generally healthy, there are plenty of items that start to approach the category of 'comfort food.' There is a tremendous variety of items to choose from. When I look at my choices from recent trips, I see wings, jambalaya, fries, burrito, gyro, cheeseburger, lenguine, cheese steak, sausage sandwich, and kebob. I've found that I liked just about everything on the menu. There haven't been any particular items that stood out from the others; they were all good. That being said, I'm probably more likely to order one of their sandwiches, perhaps a cheese steak or a cheeseburger. If you come here regularly, be sure to check the daily special menu, which has special items available on Monday thru Thursday. Sometimes, there has been a slight delay when receiving my order, but that's no issue for me as I know it's being prepared from scratch.

Been wanting to try this place for a while and was pleasantly surprised. It's fast casual and mostly high top seating in a small location next to Starbucks. The prices here are very reasonable and the quality of the food is good. Had the gyro plate which comes with your choice of 2 sides and pita and the Fabi fries. Will definitely come back and try some other dishes as they have specials through out the week.

Been looking to try this place for a while and not a great first go. Got the loaded potato (baked potato) with chicken. Honestly it was kind of funky. I thought it was going to be smaller roasted potatoes but it's a whole potato. Tasted like they mixed their Mediterranean chicken with red pasta sauce cheese. It was pretty funky tasting and the potato was cooked like it had been cooked all day. It had a funky aftertaste so much that I stopped for a smoothie elsewhere to wash it away. Likely my bad getting something like that. A lot of food for the portion but I would not recommend.

I was at the Starbucks near Fabi's yesterday and the food smelled so good that I came back today to give it a try.   A really interesting place with a lot of different types of food on the menu: breakfast burritos,  wraps, fajitas, pasta, burgers, sandwiches, and kabobs.       I ordered A La Parrilla chicken kabobs. My 2 sides were green salad and tabouli.  Very tasty! My lunch companion really liked his Philly Cheesesteak with fries too.     A clean and convenient place to grab a bite.  And with so many things on the menu, I know I'll be back.

I've never eaten in, but I've picked up food from here twice and have enjoyed their food at my sister's house at least one other time. The first thing I don't understand is how this place is in Torrance rather than Redondo Beach. I don't mean that I don't understand why they chose Torrance over Redondo Beach; I mean that I just don't understand the two cities' boundaries very well, because this feels like straight-up North Redondo to me. The second thing I don't understand is how this place hasn't expanded or multiplied or otherwise won the hearts and minds and stomachs of South Bayers near and far. But maybe it already has. The third thing I don't understand is why I don't come here more often. It's not that far from my sister's house, and I was dog-sitting there earlier this year. . . . I'm fresh out of things I don't understand. What I do understand is that the owners of this place (an Armenian brother and sister?) are amazing. The food is so good and fresh and flavorful. The menu is kind of all over the place, which in most cases is a red flag, but in the case of more than one restaurant owned and operated by Armenians (I'm including my cousin's restaurant before he sold it and retired), the more different items on the menu, the better. Or at least it's not a red flag. I promise. The combo deal is legit, but even without that deal, the prices are good, especially when you consider the food quality. Writing his review now makes me miss King Mediterrano even though I don't normally miss it or think about it. Those days are over. Next time I have calories to collect in the South Bay, I'm headed straight for Redondo Beach Boulevard.

I wanted to follow up my very short review that I wrote about this restaurant over a decade ago as I have continued to frequent this restaurant and I have always enjoyed their food. What they offer here is a really nice selection of Mediterranean-based cuisine. They always use the best ingredients, and the food always arrives with a great presentation. Mostly, the food here tastes very-very good. And, isn't that the right reason you actually go to a restaurant in the first place? This is a family-owned and operated business. From this, you can really tell that everybody who works here really cares about the restaurant and the customers. Thus, it's always a great dining experience. Their menu offers a really nice selection of everything from gyro's to kebabs onto salads and the like. There's a really nice choice of both entrées and side dishes for you to choose from. The one thing I will say about this establishment, and this is certainly not a criticism, but whenever you eat here, they always keep the food coming. Whether it is the pita chips, the pita bread, the whatever, when you leave here you are going to be very-very full. This restaurant is located just off of Hawthorne Boulevard and a block from PCH. Thus, it's very easy to find. In terms of parking they have a parking lot over to one side of the building. You could always find a spot there. They also have a number of spots on the street, in front of the restaurant. This is where I always prefer to park. Easy in, easy out. Overall, if you're looking for some great Mediterranean-based food, this is the place to go. You will not be disappointed.

The menu also features traditional Pakistani, Persian, and Arabic dishes, such as Beef Nihari and Haleem. After several visits, here are my thoughts on some of their grilled meats and desserts. Beef Kofta - 3/5. The kofta was a bit dry and tough. I wish it had more fat and seasoning to make it juicier and more flavorful. The grilling is also somewhat inconsistent--sometimes the kofta comes out beautifully browned, while other times it's over-charred. Grilled Fish - 4/5. This is easily my favorite item on the menu and, in my opinion, their best dish. The fish is seasoned just enough to enhance its natural flavor without overpowering it. It's grilled very well, developing a beautiful golden-brown crust while remaining moist and tender inside. Beef Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. The quality of the beef is decent, especially considering the price. Given the cut of meat they use, they've done a commendable job with the grilling. The beef has a solid seasoning base and a nice sear with just enough char to add flavor without becoming overly smoky. It's reasonably tender, though I wish it retained a bit more juiciness. Chicken Shish Kebab - 3.5/5. Very similar to the beef shish kebab. It has good flavor and is grilled well, but it could benefit from being a little juicier. Gyro - 2/5. Unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment. The gyro meat on the vertical spit often appears to be rotating without enough heat to properly caramelize and crisp the exterior. As a result, the meat comes across as dry, rubbery, and lacking the rich roasted flavor that makes a great gyro. Kunafa (Knafeh) - 3/5. This dessert has both strengths and weaknesses. The cheese filling has a pleasant, slightly salty flavor and a creamy texture, and I appreciate that it isn't overly sweet. However, the syrup is underwhelming. A good kunafa should be generously coated with a fragrant sugar syrup - ideally infused with rose water or orange blossom water - to provide sweetness and aroma. I also wish the kataifi, the shredded pastry dough, were crispier and lighter to create a better contrast with the gooey cheese filling. Overall, Al Hamra Kabob Grill is one of the better places to enjoy Middle Eastern-style grilled dishes in the South Bay. While a few menu items could be improved, the grilled fish stands out as excellent, and the shish kebabs are solid choices. The owner is also incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm, neighborhood atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. It's not perfect, but it's a restaurant I enjoy visiting from time to time and one I'd recommend if you're craving grilled Middle Eastern flavors.
