Every doctor, vet tech, and front desk staff member treated him with genuine compassion and made me feel like he was truly cared for, not just another appointment. From routine visits to managing his kidney disease near the end of his life, I always felt supported, informed, and listened to. Their recommendation for in home euthanasia through Lap of Love was also incredibly thoughtful and helped make the hardest day of my life a little more peaceful. I will always be grateful for the kindness and care they showed both Seamus and me.

We've seen Dr. Popish and Dr. Yi, both of whom have been absolutely fantastic with our senior, diabetic cat. Dr. Yi especially, since he has had several pets with diabetes himself! Over the past year Dr. Yi's advice has even helped Jodie lose a pound in a very healthy way - he gave us a ton of practical advice to keep her healthy and give her a wonderful quality of life (aka still getting all the delicious treats she wants!). The clinic is really clean, and everyone who we've had the pleasure of interacting with has been wonderful! They even have some beverages to enjoy while you wait - last time it was LaCroix and cold brew. They have parking out back, and every time we go there's no shortage of parking. Also shoutout to the virtual team - our normal petsitter cancelled on us last minute due to an injury, and they were able to connect us with someone who could watch our cat last minute (which can be so hard to do for a cat with diabetes!!) Highly recommend any of Modern Animal's locations to any pet parent!

Dr. Dean recommended that we try to save as many teeth as possible and x-ray to fully evaluate whether the teeth were salvageable. Also did bloodwork prior to anesthesia and discovered UTI. We have two little chihuahua mixes and they seemed to have some type of upper respiratory infection. We are headed back to Austin where we live but wanted to get this checked out prior to heading back to Austin where we have our local vet there. I called on Wednesday to schedule an appointment but they told me they only had a drop off appointment available on Friday. So I took it due to my concern for their coughing + wheezing. I had a vet apThey were also due for some blood work and the Lepto vaccine so I thought might as well do this as well. I dropped them off at 8a no issue. A little after 12p I still haven't heard from the vet so I called them to check in on the dogs. At that point, I asked what is going on with the dogs and the tech gave me more information on pricing versus what was going on with my dogs. Again, I assumed it was an upper respiratory infection but I am no veterinarian. Nonetheless, the tech told me they would be available at 2p. I arrived to pick the dogs up at 2p and another tech came out to with the dogs. Handed me a bag of medicines in which I had to ask what they were and how to use them. No instructions given. I'm use to a printed document explaining how to use the medicine and how often. Aside from that, both of the dogs didn't seem like themselves. At this point, I'm very frustrated. Before paying for my bill, I asked the receptionist to have someone come out and explain to me what exactly is going on with the dogs and what all happened while they were there for 6 hours. Because they seemed lethargic and one of them had their tongue out drooling everywhere. This is when I learned they were also given a pain shot, which was never discussed, pain for what? Overall, not a great experience. I am going to keep an eye on my dogs and hopefully to recover. I did walk away with antibiotics for them both, two separate kinds for each. I am disappointed by my whole experience for not only myself but my dogs. As they can't speak up for themselves and who knows what all happened while being back there for 6 hours.

My brother in law had recently moved to Canada, and his dog fell sick while still in the U.S. I was trying to figure out how to get the dog safely to Canada given his medical condition, and I called several clinics for guidance. Most places required an appointment just to answer basic questions, which made the situation even more stressful. Dr. Nassi was kind enough to explain that if we were driving the dog to Canada, we did not need a medical certificate, which meant we did not have to wait for an appointment or go through a lengthy certification process. The clinic also reviewed and validated the rabies certificate over email without charging us. As someone who does not own a dog and was trying to handle this on behalf of my brother in law, I was feeling very overwhelmed. Dr. Nassi really helped us understand the right path forward and made it possible for us to get the dog back to his owner. I am extremely thankful for the kindness and support we received. I highly recommend this clinic. The entire team, including the reception staff, was warm, patient, and very helpful.

At one point, the vet suggested blood tests on our cat who's kidneys "felt small" (in spite of the cat otherwise acting perfectly normal as ever)....$500 tests revealed the cat was fine (as we expected)...Eventually the office doubled in size, had marble flooring, fancy lighting, etc...okay, so that's where our $ went...but, ok....that's business. HOWEVER, appointments have been progressively more difficult to arrange. My recent attempt went as follows: Phoned, got a "please hold", kept on hold, was advised, via recording, to send an email, did so....never got a response to the email. Phoned again a week later, recording told me I was "second in line"....long wait....then "you are first in line".....long wait....another "you are first in line"....long wait...then a "please leave a message after the tone" *beeeep* (!!!)....I did leave a message, instructing them to send all my pets' medical records to another vet (and provided that vet's email)....this just happened today. Looking forward to working with the new vet (who's front desk answered the phone promptly and politely).

The next morning, he walked a bit, and by Tuesday night his congestion had stopped. He finally started eating again, even if only a small amount, which was a great improvement. There was a dog yowling in the back for the entire hour that we were visiting during our first appointment - you can hear everything because there's just a little curtain that separates the back area from the lobby. The exam room has sliding doors but isn't fully enclosed so, again, you can hear everything. The vet, Dr Kwon, was very gruff and brief with our puppy. He quite literally waved us off when we tried asking questions about our treatment plan, and he didn't adequately review our pet's vaccination records in advance. Thankfully the vet tech remediated the situation and thoroughly explained our next steps, but if he hadn't been there the entire visit would have been a complete and frustrating waste. I'm glad we completed our puppy's core vaccines because we've now switched to a much kinder vet at a cleaner, nicer hospital at the same price point.
