As a long time shopper of this establishment. I am beyond disgusted with the level of service demonstrated by these hooligans you call employees. While in the fitting room, I had over heard two girls make a comment about the clothes not going to fit my unshapely body. I felt so embarrassed and ashamed by what I heard. Been a loyal customer to Aritzia for years that being said I have spent lots of money for this brand. Unfortunately, like everyone else that complained about their customers service is true. Clothes are pretty which make you want to buy but a trashy attitude makes you want to walk away from this store. If your band costs this much of $$$then at least have a good attitude that matches with the price. Whoever does the hiring really needs to thinks about this twice because your customer service is terrible! Today on a Saturday the mall is extremely busy, especially since everyone is doing some holiday shopping. I came inside aritzia because I wanted to change my wardrobe a bit. I walked in and was greeted by an associate Alexis. They welcomed me in and asked if I needed a fitting room, I said no because I was still browsing. I am happy to say after I told them no I was not bothered by another associate or the same individual, which is a big plus because I don't like to be checked up every 10 or so minutes. It kind of gets annoying and makes me uncomfortable. After picking up some items I spotted Alexis again and asked them to start me a fitting room. They gathered all of my items and set it to the side. Went to the fitting rooms and tried on all of the items. ( side note please do not feel discouraged if you have to size up 2 sizes, I have wide hips and had to double my size, ALL STORE SIZES RUNS DIFFERENT PLEASE DO NOT FEEL DISCOURAGED!) The rest of the employees were extremely nice regardless how packed the store has got. They were all putting things away, grabbing different sizes, and smiling around the store. I am truly satisfied with my visit and my purchase. They did improved a lot and I will definitely be shopping here more often! Great customer service from Alexis and the rest of the employees. *I am a loyal customer and always preferred shipping online than in store when it comes to aritzia* (I went in to make a online return today) As i enter the store no one greeted me, but I just wanted to look around and browse before I made my return just in case I wanted some things to exchange my original pieces for. No one asked if I needed help or anything-which is fine, because I didn't. When I finally decided that I didn't want anything from the store, I stood in line to make my return. This girl didn't even greet me and immediately asked if I was there just for a return and I said yes. Then she asked me if I had my receipt and card on file that I had originally paid with, and I said yes. And she takes me to one of the open registers and tells me to move forward. Because it was an online order, my receipt was in my email so I had to find it on my phone. Once I got the QR code I put my phone down next to me on the counter as Ashe asked me for my name and email to confirm I was in their system. Then she SNATCHED my phone from where I left it next to me (didn't ask if she could touch it or ask me to give it to her) and took it so she can use the hand held barcode scanner on the other side of the register. I was so upset. That made her poor customer service even worse. She was already rude with an attitude, but this was just upsetting. Then she handed me my phone back and said here's your receipt and I left. I hate the customer service here. It's always so hit or miss and it's usually a miss. Just shop online and don't let them have their commission. Because I know for a fact that they are scheduled more hours if they make more sales per hour. read more

Terrible customer service. Right when I walk in the door the sales people would glance at me and turn away like they didn't want to offer help. I came into store to return some online orders. Turns out I can only get store credit back after spending hundreds of dollars. My return was super rushed, cashier looked annoyed that I was returning my items from an online order. I had questions about exchanges instore in case I decided I need a different size and she just answered quickly "you'll have to pay full price" even when I had purchased my items during the sale and just needed a different size. I'll stick to returning my orders online since my experience at the store was not great. read more

I love Aritzia & most of the employees here are pretty nice. My only issue with the store is that the fitting rooms don't have mirrors in them. If you want to see how you look in the clothes, you have to be comfortable enough to walk into the mirrored lounge area in the middle of all the fitting rooms. Other people are out there as well and will be looking at you. Considering the store is newly remodeled, it would have been nice if they added mirrors to each room. Not everyone is comfortable enough to waltz out in clothes they don't know will fit or look good on them in front of everyone. Maybe it's because I'm personally not confident enough, but it was a somewhat uncomfortable experience. I really appreciate that the gals who work here are quite helpful & accommodating though. I've had (on occasion) greeters near the door flash me a smile but it's otherwise leaving a lot to be desired. I've had countless bad interactions here and specifically at the register somehow that seems to be where they put the employees with least amount of human decency or respect. Dressing room sales associates have generally been pleasant. Not sure if their customer base is demanding or if they are just so underpaid and over worked they can't hide their distaste. Order online and (shrills) if you have to return in store good luck! Valley fair gets 1 extra star for greeting pretty consistently. Walnut Creek can't be bothered to look in your direction. Aritzia wants so badly to be luxury, and at first you might believe that it is. From the absurdly strict return policy to the enormous hunks of rose quartz scattered around the store, it certainly plays the part. The store itself is beautiful, and I might actually enjoy shopping here if I weren't forced into coming here in the middle of a COVID surge by the aforementioned return policy. Only 2 weeks for returns and 30 days for exchanges, plus no online returns, is enough to dissuade me from ever coming here again (actually, I wouldn't have in the first place, but I got a very generous gift and had to exchange it). Return policy aside, if you look a little deeper you'll notice cracks in Aritzia's facade. I picked up a gorgeous $128 cardigan only to find that the tag was hanging on by a single thread. Even if this was a fluke, the quality of their clothes in general is not something I would write home about and definitely not worth the price or hassle. As other customers have mentioned, there are no mirrors in the fitting rooms, so you have to put on a fashion show in front of everyone if you want to see how the clothes look. I'm not particularly self conscious, but this was obnoxious. The designers of the store should have foregone one of the massive decorative chunks of rose quartz and put mirrors in the fitting rooms. The employees were nice, and the clothes are cute, but I could say the same for a lot of other places that accept returns after 14 days. Don't be fooled by the gilded exterior of this place. Just go to Nordstrom and save yourself the heartache. read more

I try SO hard to love this store, but the service is never right. I've been shopping here for literally a decade and gotta say, it's been getting worse and worst! I keep telling myself to never come back, but the clothing is just too irresistible! Today, 12/5/17, I came in around 6pm and there were two associates working. Neither gal greeted me, but continued to gossip about their coworker and her work ethics. I was only dropping in to grab a pair of leggings for my sister so I didn't mind their desire to greet me. However, when I was ready to check out, the two awkwardly teamed up to ring me up. I noticed the price difference in the leggings so I politely asked just for clarification, as I was buying them regardless. One of the gal was irritated at my question and gave me a firm response of the price and walked off totally annoyed. Came here to shop for something during Black Friday. The girls here seem to have a bad attitude and don't know how to be polite or have good customer service. This review was long overdue but now I can finally sit down to write it out! This review is for a staff named, Rose, who went out and helped me find an outfit for me. I honestly didn't know what I wanted or what I should look for but my boyfriend insisted to spoil me for the day. Rose whipped out a yellow long-sleeve cropped top blouse with a pair of white textured pocket shorts--BOY that was CUTE! I couldn't see the style work on the hanger but Rose was on the the spot when I tried it on. I think I just discovered another feminine side of myself LOL! It was super busy today but she was so friendly and genuine with us. On the side note, my boyfriend loves the vibe and how the fitting room has a sofa for him to sit down comfortably. Since I had some bags with me, she helped me put my clothing at the cashier while I wait in line. Customer service is a huge issue here, it's been this way for years. Management is seriously dropping the ball. I am never greeted or offered help when I walk in. The staff glares at you, and then they follow you around the store as if you're going to steal something. Dressing room situation is also trash. Major attitude if you ask for another size or god forbid nothing fits so you walk out empty handed. I find the sizing to be very inconsistent with Babaton and Wilfred pieces. So I have to try things on, and usually need to try multiple sizes. I don't understand the unnecessary attitude, trying clothes on is a completely normal part of shopping. They'll switch to a nice demeanor if you're buying something. Love the clothes, hate the experience. I would shop here a lot more if I didn't dread the snobby staff. I don't deserve eye roles and glares when I'm simply trying to find a new outfit that I feel good in. read more

This is one of the worst clothing stores ever - Ibe made two purchases here, one time the cashier lady forgot to remove the electronic detector from one of the shirt I bought and I had to go back to get it removed. The other time they charged my credit card twice. Only 10 days to return an item for a refund :( I purchased a bunch of items on a Friday and left for a business trip on the following Monday. By the time I arrived home and was able to get back to the mall, 10 days was GONE! Granted, people shouldn't return things months later, but I was under 30 days (15 to be exact) so I was only eligible for store credit. Be careful - after 21 you get nothing and you are stuck with your decision! Came here today to do a return. I get uncomfortable when some of the girls just look and stare at me. However one of the girls was nice and said that she would be right with me. But a tall girl with fake lips took me instead. I don't really shop here and I was doing a return from something I had got online. I was surprised that it was going back on store credit and I kept asking why but she did not give me a clear answer. She got another coworker to help out for back up (tall girl with a mole). I just took the store credit because I did not want to make a scene. Maybe in scenarios like that explain it to your customers. (My sister thinks that Aritzia deserves 3.5 stars because their inventory doesn't change as often as we would like). However, every time that I go in, I find something cute to buy. It also helps that they carry xxs for us petite girls! I really like the layout of the store and their merchandising. The interior is bright, upbeat, and welcoming. Most of the sales associates are energetic and eager to suggest items for customers; however, some employees are not as helpful. It's definitely different than all of the other stores in Valley Fair in terms of the some of the brands that they carry (Talula, Wilfred, TNA, Kensie for Aritzia, BCB girls, 12th St by Cynthia Vincent, Free People). They have a good inventory of Rock and Republic and Citizens denim. The style is pretty casual, but you can find some pieces for going out as well. Originated form Canada. Aritzia sells really good quality clothing. They are not cheap. My bomber jacket cost me $200+ and $135 for my ankle pants - just to give you a good idea of the price point. I came here to exchange one item and walked out buying at least 4 more. It's very easy to spend about a grand here. They just have the cutest pieces!!! The staff are so helpful and friendly! I've been shopping here since the store opened in Valley Fair and my trips to Aritzia have been more and more infrequent. One star given for their quality but they really gouge customers. I went in today to purchase Agolde Parker Shorts and didn't have luck tracking them down at Nordstrom. Stopped by Aritzia and lo and behold they had them. The woman told me they'd be FINAL SALE because they were discounted $10 (no exchanging for different size). You see, that's how they get you. Discount something for ten bucks and call it a sale item. Umm...I'd rather pay regular price elsewhere and have peace of mind knowing if I needed to exchange them for a different size that would be okay. Peace out Aritzia! I haven't been a fan of a store since my last crazy about Abercrombie &Fitch but Aritzia is as good as it gets for the kind of clothes that you find and the awesome deals they have when they go on sale! I liken it to an upper, more cleaner class version of Urban Outfitter. Here you can actually find your size when things go on sale, and even when they're not on sale. They usually have fantastic deals on designer jeans as well, a pair of rock and republics that usually cost much over $220 were $149 at Aritzia while it was still $220+ at Metropark! They're having a huge sale now so I'd hit up right now ... One thing that turned me off though, last time I went in this girl kept asking me if I needed help like 6 times and asking if I needed things held at the fitting room OR at the counter when I was practically walking to the counter to pay .. =.= coming on a little too strong? read more

Eh. I was really excited with this store when I check out the website. Then I went to the store, and was super disappointed. Maybe it's their merchandising, but all I could see was really generic looking items. It's as if they took some of American Eagle Outfitter's basics and threw it on a nicely decored store. Not very fitting. Then it leads to the back, where all the nice expensive things were. They've got TNA, which is the AEO-type stuff I was talking about. Talula is an upgrade to TNA. Both of which are the only brands I saw were affordable (within the $18-30 range). They've got Wilford, Rock & Republics, Sevens, and Paige denim. I was looking for the Anna Sui stuff but they were nowhere to be found. The staff is attentive, but I hate feeling like all they can use as their "opening" line is my outfit. However, they're friendly and know when to leave you the hell alone. They have a beautiful fitting room, too bad nothing caught my eye in the 4 times I've stopped by, for me to try. read more

To top it off, you only have 10-14 days to return an item and 21 days to exchange an item which is total bullshit. We live in the Bay Area where everyone is busy with school and/or work, etc. and not everyone has time to return/exchange items in 2-3 weeks! read more

Super cute clothes, scarves, etc! My sister always shops here with her good friend, and one evening as we were shopping at VF, she recommended we stop by! I purchased a couple of their leggings which I thought were a bit pricy for something so basic ($25-$40 ea) although their deals all seem wonderful, I feel they overprice their items so their sale prices would seem like a good deal! For example, a basic loose fitting tee was originally $40, it was 50% off for $20. Moderate price but I feel it should have already been $20. But that's just a young college student talking! if you got big bucks and don't mind spending $200+ on a coat and $90 on a scarf then this place is perfect for you! Also, there was a young asian girl that assisted my sister, she was wonderful! On the contrary, I asked this one girl a question (didn't care to catch her name) she was really ...whats the word....downright lazy! while in the dressing room I asked if she could check if there were other colors available (it was a cardigan) she said "no sorry, thats all we have" So I went out to check myself, and there was ANOTHER COLOR! Shady business...If you buy anything in store, NO return NOR exchange for any sale/discount items. Even if it's just $1 discount. And the cashier would not mention a single word to you about about it's final sale! You need to keep your eyes open and check out the fine print on the back of the receipt to find out: "All Sale Merchandise is FINAL SALE". Ridiculous!!
