Simon Imaging Baywood...they x-rayed my wrists. Told me to come the next day for imaging knee. Told to be there at 6:30 am for right knee. I sat there waiting for 30 minutes. The supervisor, a woman, came in and said I have bad news and giggled. Said you probably got some metal some where and will probably burn on the inside! Not acceptable! The patient portal didn't used to be so difficult. Why did you need to make it so difficult to use?

Went to this facility for an MRI. I have had many MRIs at multiple AZ facilities and in Florida. In Florida I have had them every year or so since 2018. Never before had I been encouraged to just step into the MRI machine straight away in my street clothes. There are huge signs in the dressing rooms where one locks up belongings in a wall of lockers explaining how even benign looking street clothes could contain metal components within the fabric itself. Also, I was wearing an underwire bra with metal clips. Fortunately, we did discover THAT in time (the bra), and she did allow me to remove that. After I had removed my bra, I was still not permitted to put a gown on and forced to get into the MRI wearing my own clothes. I this this, in itself, makes the quality of care terrible. They appear to be putting patients' safety at risk to speed them through the machines/their appointments as quickly as possible. The office experience was far from marvelous, as well. I felt very much like a number ... not special ... not cared about nor properly cared for. Very disappointed. read more

This was my first open MRI of this type. The staff were kind and compassionate. I have claustrophobia and they were very understanding and let my daughter go in with me. The tech explained everything to me. I will definitely choose this facility if I ever have to have another one. read more

If I could choose zero stars I would. I paid cash for an urgent CT brain scan two weeks ago after a fall and blow to the head. I was assured that I would receive a report later that day, or I would have just gone to an ER. I have called four times since asking for the report and each time was promised it would be completed soon. I STILL don't have a report. I cannot believe the total lack of customer service. I will direct my patient orders elsewhere from now on. What a dismal experience and total failure to provide the service paid for. read more

I would not recomend Simon Med Imaging . They are slow to respond . They got order for CT Scann last year . They supposed to call me after insurance approval , they never did . In the past , i was pretty much always charged extra over the insurance payment. If you don't want to be dissapointed and frustrated please ,please pick other service provider . Simon used to be top quality imaging office , not any more . Waiting rooms in some location in Mesa look worst than train stations in a third World country . The staff was very professional and polite. Will not return to this facility. Very dirty! The entrance has bird poop all over the front that you have to step over to enter the building. This is supposed to be a Medical facility and the disease that bird poop and dirt along floor and baseboards is not acceptable in my standards. read more

Horrible I have referral for ultrasound of breast from doctor I have PPO and am willing to pay because I refuse to have radiation shot thru my breast and they refused me service unless I first do the mammogram and then they would do ultrasound this is disgusting it's my body I should be able to have a less invasive option just another way for them to suck more money out of people and insurance companies Also straight from BBB website: Pattern of Complaints BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints, specifically concerning how consumers allege the business has failed to respond to billing and refund inquiries. The business has failed to obtain pre-authorization from insurance providers before requesting payment from consumers; failed to forward insurance claims accordingly and in a timely manner; failed to report patient co-pay's to insurance providers, which caused the business to be overpaid. The business has failed to provide refunds as promised; failed to inform consumers of pricing before service; failed to send invoices to consumers in a timely manner; and billed consumers inaccurately. Reporting time frame always varies. They say 3-7 business days do MRI. On 5/9/25 MRI report was done 5/22. 9 bus days. Bad. 6/26/25 I had 2 MRIs and report done 7/4/25 5 days Great!! I had a MRI done on 6/27/25 and it is evening of 7/14 and still NO report. That is over 11 bus days and counting. What is the problem??? If I have a choice next time, I will consider it. read more

Don't trust your life and health to them. Expect results no sooner than two weeks after scan. Illegally collecting co-pays (they try to deny service if you can't pay co-pay), front desk is nonchalant/ uninterested in providing welcoming service, office is run down. read more

I called to make an X-ray appointment and they said it's walk in basis. While on the phone confirmed that I would be able to arrive at 5 pm and get an X-ray before they closed at 6 pm and I was assured yes. I'm on their website as I'm speaking to the SimonMed employee and it clearly displays their hours 7 am - 6 pm and then it goes on to list the services they provide and X-ray is listed from 8 am - 6 pm (see pic). So I have confirmation over the phone and from their website that I can walk in at 5 pm and get an X-ray. I walk in at 5:06 and they tell me they stopped doing X-rays at 5. I told them I was told over the phone they stop at 6 and the front desk woman told me I was thinking of the wrong location. I said "it clearly states on your website you stop at 6!" The woman directs me to another location that will take me until 6. I get there and they closed at 5. Bad information over and over and over again. I've never seen a business suck on so many levels. I sincerely hope their terrible service makes them go under so they can stop ruining people's days. read more

First, they sent me a text message saying, I needed to fill out a online form when I arrived. I began doing that and their online system told me I needed to use letters which I was. I showed the girl at the desk saying this is not working, and she said, I don't have any control over that. I asked her if she could tell somebody about it and she said, I already have I do every day. She seems very frustrated with the system as well. Second when I booked this appointment, I had to put all of my information in my insurance, my address everything and then they asked for it again, I had to come fasting to this appointment. So I'm not in a good mood and I just want to get it done so I can eat. Then she tells me that I have to pay at the time of service, which I have never done, and I'm in my 50s, I've always been built, it was just one more thing to be irritated about on an empty stomach. Called ahead to inquire into wait time for x-ray and was told only one person was waiting and they indicated this didn't seem like a long wait. When I walked in, I approached the front desk and was immediately told they'd be with me in a bit and to have a seat. Another party entered some time after me and was told the same. While we both waited to have insurance card and ID taken and to be given paperwork, more people came in. These individuals were helped because they either did not hear or understand the request for them to also be seated and wait to be helped. After more than 20 minutes of waiting - without even being asked if I had an appointment, much less anything else - I left to take my business elsewhere. Where was the paper sign in sheet? Pretty basic, not hard. Something, anything. Not a good experience and a waste of my time. read more

I am so over these places that mess with people, their lives and money. I seen all the bad reviews that Simonmed has received but was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. I had an appointment originally for 8/31/25 at 1 pm. , I got a call the day before saying they are still waiting for insurance response, so my appointment would have to be rescheduled, I told the lady that I would cash pay and NOT reschedule my appointment. She then said I was put back on the schedule for cash pay but my appointment would be at 1:30 not 1:00. I then hung up with her and got a text and email confirming my appointment and to fill out the forms. I take off work (loosing pay) get to my appointment 30 minutes prior to the appointment and now they are telling me my appointment was canceled and there was noting they could do. I would have to reschedule. So not only now I will loose out on 2 days of pay but also have to pay them 600. And change. We all have someone to answer to yet Simonmed continues to employ people that are rude and can't seem to do their job correctly. The people in corporate should at the very least start replacing these people that can't do their job correctly. Where and when are we the patients going to be compensated for having to pay so much hard earned money for SimonMeds employees screwups. I unfortunately have to get this procedure done. I would not recommend this Simonmed or any others. None of them have a very good rating. They're all two stars or worse. read more

I had had many Cat scans and I have never had extravasation. The women was very sweet but when usually get one done they tell me what is happening. It has been 2 days now and I cannot drive due to the contrast going in my tissue. Again the lady was very sweet but I can't drive or even hold up my phone because my arm is so heavy they said it would be fine but I haven't been able to work or drive in 2 days now. You can't make appointment for X-ray. I guess you can hold a spot. I sat for 1 1/2 for wrist X-ray that took 5 minutes. As I sat there , I listen to them call people to come in for X-ray . I was told 30 minutes. 1 1/2 later I find the again for got to put me in a cue! They had me registered up front . Didn't send it too the back . As I said again. As this has been the 3rd time . So incredibly rude that I took my teenager elsewhere for X-rays after his urgent care appointment. Her: Do you have an appointment? Me: no Her: it'll be 45 minutes to an hour wait. Me: okay then, I'd like to make an appointment so my kid doesn't miss anymore school this morning Her: we don't take appointments Me (somewhat confused): then I guess we'll we'll wait Me, again (gesturing to the heavy wooden chairs ten feet away): I'm disabled and need to sit for this. Her: {shrugs} So I move the heavy chair and check him in. When we're finished with her impolite check in she tells me (not asks) to put the chair back. I told her I was disabled and my kid was there to have his elbows X-rayed and she told me to move the chair anyway. I walked away but my polite kid moved the chair with his injury. When I saw that I was fuming, apparently she told him to do it as I was walking away. I went back and told her that I wanted my order form, I was taking him somewhere else. She stood behind her desk dangling the order in front of her face, waving it back and forth, like you'd tease a kitten with a string while attempting to lecture me about something. I reached over, grabbed the form and left. I assumed I'd just gotten that one rude employee there and stuff happens, then I came here and saw the two star rating and a light went on for me. I took him 0.2 miles away to banner imagining and had a very different and pleasant experience there. read more

I have been to other Simon Med (McKellips) and the CT tech was terrible; however, Kim is the most amazing tech I have ever had. She did another CT scan on me and was so patience with me as I do not like to have CT done and panic. She walked me through it and was caring. She is by far the BEST Tech I have ever had. Got my IV on the first try, was comforting, professional and shown patience with me. Kim is the top notch and Simonmed has a gem with KIm. A+++++++++++++++++ read more

I visited the Baywood location a few weeks ago. Upon entering Roman greeted me immediately. After a few mins. Jada called me to her desk to get info. and to collect the co-pay. She was very professional and polite with a good sense of humor which I love. Then Margherita heard me talking and asked was I Ms. Fountain, she remembered my voice from when she reminded me of my appt. Very professional. Justin, tech in training informed me that he would be taking me back. He explained everything that they were going to do. Lastly, there was the MRI tech Jared, very polite, caring, efficient and professional. I'm in a wheelchair and he and Justin assisted me with all my needs. Thank-you! read more

Ok, here we go again... Day 3 of receiving an automated call from Simon Med that I've missed my scheduled Appt and would I like to rebook. I called the main scheduling number to find out WTF is going on only to be on the phone with a reservations guy for 13 minutes and be hung up on again. I just received a confirmation call about my appointment tomorrow morning and guess what they told me? You have a payment due. It was paid last week when I rescheduled because they were running 2 hours behind. How does a business like this get to be so big and are the worst in business on the front end? There is no doubt in my mind that the technicians are doing a great job and are to be commended for their knowledge and professionalism, but something needs to be done at the front of the house and front line employees. My warning to those thinking about using Simon Med...BEWARE !!! My years of working experience leadme to believe that it is not the employees fault but their managers and lack of proper training. You need to clean house and bring in managers that know how to train and be mentors. Not just hiring employees to fill a seat. read more

i arrived about 20 minutes early to my appointment, it was my first, and immediately was greeted by such sweet girls. i had filled out my patient forms and check-in forms previously to arriving so the check-in process was an absolute breeze! i was taken back, did my ultrasound, and was done 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time!! it may have just been because the imaging i needed is simple, but it was amazing how quickly i was out of there AND how sweet the front desk ladies and doctors are. definitely will be returning for future imaging! read more

Although I was supposed to come in for a Ct last week and was cancelled the morning of after fasting till 2 pm. I rescheduled for the following week, the staff was very friendly; Claudia caught my attention. She explained everything very well I knew I had an upfront payment. This office was great to my son and I. It was the 4th SimonMed location we stopped at trying to get him an urgent xray. Two other locations nearby had xray machines that were not working and the other was not taking any more patients that day. This office was amazing and got us in right away. I had a mammogram done here. The tech was horrible. I was having a hard time understanding how she wanted me to position my body. She grabbed my hips and shoved me into the position she wanted. One time she pushed me so roughly, I lost my balance and she had to start over. It was a very unpleasant experience. read more

So yes a 5...MRI's suck that being said they have an open MRI which sucks less. So at the end of the day this is as good as it gets. BTW...MRI appointments don't follow a set schedule. Yes you got scheduled for X time but if the people before you couldn't hold still in the machine then they have to keep starting over. Rude reception staff. Not willing to go the extra step for patients. Orders were sent there via fax 3 times and a lengthy verbal from the doctor's office. They said there were no orders. Find that very strange. There was no effort on SimonMeds part to see what had happened. Had to call the Doctor and hand the receptionist my phone to speak with the doctors office. She yanked the phone from my hand. Needless to say a verbal was given, again. Voila, positive things started happening!!Was called back before the 30 minute wait time. SimonMed is the worst imaging facility I've used in my 73 years. My wife and I always confirm through our insurance what our copay will be, if any. SimonMed ALWAYS insists on collecting the incorrect copay, much higher always. We eventually have the money returned, but it takes several months. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING! read more
