ARIZONA HAIR COMPANY @ TEMPE MARKETPLACE - DISGRUNTLED CUSTOMER - NOT HAPPY AT ALL!! CHOP JOB I brought a friend of the family (Sigrid Egan - 85 years young) whom I'm helping out right now because she fell and has a broken shoulder/arm from the fall. #1 - We came in yesterday and asked Fernanda, the stylist to trim/cut her hair in the style that it was already. We asked her to follow the previous cut line and trim it please. #2 - When I got back to pick her up I was shocked at how bad her hair looked. She did not follow the previous cut line or style at all. #3 - I went back in the salon to buy hair product and I let Brinlee at the front desk know that Sigrid wasn't happy and neither was I. She said they could fix it. Really, it was already a completely different style and its too short! Sigrid is tired now so we will take a look at her hair and get back to you tomorrow. It's now tomorrow... #3 - The front of her hair was way too short and she used a curling iron to style it after the blow out. Sigrid just wanted a blow out with round brush. The cut/style made her look 5-7 years older. The cut/style was for a much older lady. The side and back of her hair should have been cut or shaved up and not straggly. Behind her ears she cut her hair too close so you see her head, there's a clump missing. Sigrid is so upset that she spent a total of ($102.00 including tip) for services rendered. What a shame it is that Fernanda wasn't listening to what she and I asked for regarding a trim/cut of the previous style/ cut. I'm writing this review for Sigrid because she doesn't have Yelp. She wants her money back for this terrible haircut ($60.00). She had a deep conditioning treatment ($30.00) as well but Sigrid has paid for that service and doesn't want that money back. #4 - In addition, she is a Senior Citizen and she didn't get that senior discount you so happily offer on your website either. How important is a haircut?? Choosing the correct salon can be very tiresome. When every tiny strand atop your head has a mind of its own, it seems an impossible task. In comes Arizona Hair Co. I was greeted by the lovely Rania (beautiful, right?) with an amazing smile and very inviting personality! She is both friendly and efficient! She was able to offer a walk-in appointment with just a few minutes' wait. Now, anxiety sets in. I know it grows back, but at what rate?! After a short prayer, my stylist, Nikky, comes in and magically cuts my hair to maximize curl and volume. She accomplishes this with a stellar attitude and awesome conversation! The salon is clean, bright, inviting, affordable, and filled with joy! If you're looking for a new place, come over! You will never find a salon where the people are more polite or accommodating. I had booked an appointment to get my hair done as I work in a nearby building and I decided not to show because the stylist I picked I have seen out back smoking her WEED PEN. at first I wasn't sure until I seen her out on another occasion I should have taken a picture.. NEVER AGAIN! RUN AWAY! I had a haircut so terrible I cried when I went home and straightened it. The girl knew she messed it up too, which is why she didn't actually blow it out all the way but they charged me for a blow out anyway! I called the next morning for a refund after another salon thankfully took me in early to try and fix it... the manager called 2 days later to inform me that because I didn't ask them to fix it, I did not qualify for any kind of refund. Horrible business practices. Would YOU trust the same company again to fix it? Straight up scam; they know they hire incompetent stylistst and they're unapologetic about it. this is because Adele OMG I am so sorry if I spell his name wrong but he has been doing my hair for 2 years at least and I honestly as I keep my Hair short Forget to come in for my trims until I am a mess. Today I called and he had room and Tada as Always great job. It took about 4 hours to get this done and I was dealing with a lot in my life and didn't call to reschedule because I was in recluse mode and on top of this they botched my hair so I called corporate and then the girl that botched my hair called me back after corporate said that they were going to call me back. read more

Review is for Tempe location only as it is the only one i have been to. Very rude receptionist that will get annoyed when you need to reschedule and will hang up on you. Hairdresser Ashley was also pretty rude and got upset when I politely pointed out that my roots didn't match my ends and basically told me to go to someone else if I didn't like it. Literally let me leave with yellow roots and white ends in the front and brassy hair. I have come here about 5 times and had really good experiences before so if you're gonna come here definitely try to schedule with Rachel or Taylor or Nichole but I don't think I'll be coming back. Worst hair cut ever. Don't come here. I asked for a specific cut, and was given something incredibly different. I've asked my friends and family if it was at all remotely what I asked for, and they've all said it's not even close to what I asked for. We called ahead of time with some questions and they were very nice and understanding in answering our questions. When we arrived, they were very polite and seated us as quick as they could with the small amount of staff they had at the time. Overall customer service was awesome! Went to go get my boy friend's 2 1/2 ft long hair bleached. She informed us of the higher price due to hair length before started, which I appreciated because it gave us the option to choose whether to continue or not. We both wanted his hair professionally done so we proceeded and were not disappointed! He was so happy to see his hair come out as light as it did in beautifully condition as well. This is the second location I've attempted to visit. No one seems like they want to cut a man's hair. Today two of the stylists mentioned they didn't have clippers available?!?! They were the only two available to cut my hair. I'm pretty sure when you're a licensed stylist you should be use clippers. Very thankful for these affordable, well-done haircuts! You get a wash and a cut for $18, which is right in my price range. You don't need an appointment and can get immediate service as a walk-in. I went today and asked for angles and layers. Star did my cut, and she did a good job. Her super long nails hurt every now and then, but all is fine. I'm happy with my wash and cut, and also got to try a couple of the products they sell (a spray and a curl mousse). Seems like for a basic haircut like the one I needed, they know what they're doing! I had a few haircuts from a girl at another AZ Hair Company. The first two were amazing, but the last one was awful (uneven cut and my bangs were below my nose). Today I went to Audel at Tempe Marketplace and got the best haircut I've ever had! Audel had so much attention to detail and didn't rush the cut. Took time and gave attention to my hair and made it so cute! I'm 52 and this is by far is the best haircut I've ever had! Definitely found my forever stylist!! It's been over a year since I got my last haircut and thought it's time since summer is around the corner. Having long hair is nice to have but a pain to deal with. I always go their location in Gilbert but once I saw they have a location in Tempe, I got excited. I called them the first thing in the morning, Abby the receptionist is so sweet and got me in right away! My stylist Nicki was incredible, she gave me everything that I asked for. She didn't cut it too short and explained in detail of the process and gave great customer service. I went in for a basic trim. I usually go to JUUT, but it's Christmas time and I didn't want to pay $65 for a trim of my straight thin hair. Alex was great, friendly and fast. She gave me a trim and cleaned up my layers just as requested. For a total of $21 including tip I think I might come here more often. read more

I have visited this spot a few times for a hair cut. I have a very limited hair area. 3 on the sides and finger length on the top where I still have hair. They are always good conversation and very friendly. 4 stars because they think they are an upscale salon but for a guy you don't really have to write me in a book do you? I just want a hair cut. The first time I went to Stephanie was for a color correction when I had pink hair that wasn't blended to my roots and she blended it out perfectly with a light brown. The second time I went to her was to get my hair to a darker brown balayage and she nailed this as well. The third time I went back to get my hair to a softer black and also wanted face framing layers/trim. If you're someone who is terrified of getting a hair cut (or even a trim) just like me, Stephanie will do an amazing job at just trimming your hair instead of chopping off a lot more than what you asked for. My daughter went in for a haircut today with Alex. She went from shoulder length hair to a long pixie. I was definitely nervous with this huge transition but I could not be any happier. First time in this salon yesterday and let me tell you I had a pleasant experience here. Two stylist talked with me about my options due to the fact I had bright red hair and was wanting some blonde put in. Which I know is the most difficult thing to do because red being the worst color to get out. In the end we decided we'd see how much red we could get out and see how light my hair would get without any damage. Lacey was able to get me to a rose gold color with some purple tones, which I LOVE! The process was long but I knew that from the beginning and now my next visit I'll be able to achieve the blonde I wanted since Lacey was able to diminsh the bright red I had walked in with. WORST haircut I've received in my LIFE! (Forgot her name-but had blue hair) Hairstylist said she understood what cut I wanted, but ended up with a choppy haircut. I asked her to fix it 3 times which ended up with my hair being shorter than I anticipated(WITHOUT the results I wanted).
