We came in to order a new mattress and Ken was very helpful and knowledgeable about the unique products that are sold here. They offer all natural latex mattresses which are supposed to provide more support than memory foam. There are different bed to lay on and try out. You choose a base for the mattress, and then select a pad to go on top. Then you zip the entire thing together and you have your mattress. This is nice because then you can select different firmness levels for each side. They offer delivery, setup and removal of old mattresses for $85 which is convenient, since getting rid of mattresses correctly isn't always easy. The value of the mattress seemed good too. We only ordered the mattress a week ago, so I'll have to update this to let you know it is. read more

Purchased a quilted mattress cover only to be surprised that it was HALF a mattress cover. No clear description or picture indicating that the bottom is a thin mesh. Seller is intentionally trying to mislead customers. Scummy. Pay a little more and buy from a better vendor like SleepEZ which sent me a complete cover. One of the reasons I bought this mattress was to cut down on allergies and b/c of (what seemed to be) a good warranty. However, my mattress is now disintegrating, causing fine particles to get on everything. It's ongoing and doesn't mix well with allergies. Ken, at Arizona Premium Mattress, said this issue isn't covered by the warranty and, quite frankly, came across a bit sarcastic. He said all rubber will do this and to vacuum it up to fix the problem. Of course I've already used a vacuum numerous times, but that doesn't help when it keeps disintegrating. Very disappointed. I bought the recommended density for my weight and sleep pattern. It was the 10 inch Talalay medium densitity mattress. I am literally bottoming out on the bed platform. Ken is a good person however I didnt see the warning on the latex mattress that I bought and I tried to return it. It has 6 inches of 36 ild tallalay and another two inches of another firm foam. I need a very soft feel and it is just so hard. I tried adding 3 inches of Kens regular foam but it still is too hard so I had to add 6 inches of 5lb memory foam and 3 inches of 32 ild latex. I WISH THERE WAS A WAY TO RETURN IT EVEN AT A DISCOUNTED PRICE SO i CAN DO IT RIGHT. I tried to vacumn the mattress flat with a shop vac and it didnt work . Did a TON of research and ordered soft talalay topper from this company. Ship time was about 2 weeks to NY. The topper is soft but supportive and feels durable. I LOVE IT after a month. I am a weightlifter with shoulder and back pain and the 19 ILD talalay 3" topper is very comfortable for me @ 170 lbs. Very cheap, my $1200 all-latex DIY queen mattress would probably have been at least a few hundred more without people like APM. I heard their customer service is bad and shipping may be inconsistent but it's a small company and you are getting a big discount by cutting out the middleman so keep these things in mind and do your research before you buy anything from them. If you know exactly what materials you need for your bed, they are the cheapest option for quality latex mattress components. Just try to make sure you don't have to do a return. read more

We were on the search for an organic, non toxic mattress and came across a recommendation on Reddit for Az Premium Mattress. Since we live in the valley we decided to head to the showroom and try them out. The owner, Ken, was very knowledgeable and helpful. He thoroughly worked with us and explained the differences between the styles of mattresses, the costs, and things like durability over the years. My partner and I ended up getting a medium firmness coil based mattress with a latex top, softer firmness on one side and medium firmness on the other. We LOVE that we could get custom firmness mattress that suited us both. We have been sleeping on our new bed for one month now and absolutely love it. Our sleep has improved greatly, and it is incredibly comfortable. It has the perfect amount of push back to leave you feeling supported in all the right places. We also purchased the latex pillows which are amazing as well! Delivery of the mattress was a breeze. I ordered a King Bamboo Mattress cover (80 inches x 76 inches).  Received a cover that is much smaller than a King size - it measures only 74 inches x 72 inches. The seams/edges are rigid and there is zero stretch possible. Sent the company pictures showing the dimensions. No one at the company picks up the phone or returns calls. If I post on their facebook page, someone immediately removes the negative post. I just want them to send me the right sized mattress cover. Is that too much to ask? read more

Me and my wife are very dissatisfied with our purchase. After just 5 years their blended latex mattress as you can see is failing. I contacted the owner Ken Hightower via telephone and email and he seem polite and requested photo to be sent to him. After receiving photos from me he indicated that the mattresses would be replaced. The only problem is that it has been 75 days and we still haven't gotten our replacement. I indicated to ken that I have health and back issues and that the way his latex mattresses sunk that it is very debilitating to sleep this way. Got a king talalay mattress with cover and 3" top. While I don't sleep around much, from my limited experience this is the best bed I've ever had. Our previous mattress got firmer with age. It had a nice plush feel for a fraction of an inch and then solid. This latex mattress has a much more uniform give. In 2000, we needed a new mattress. Thinking back to the internet (especially shopping!) in 2000...what was I thinking looking at a MATTRESS online! Somehow, I came across Arizona Premium Mattress and called for more info. Ken Hightower answered the phone; at the time, I didn't realize he was the owner! He has answered the phone every single time I've called. That kind of phenomenal, caring customer service is one-of-a-kind. After many conversations I ordered a king size mattress with a medium side and a firm side - Ken said that since my husband and I both like the same firmness, but there's a nearly 100 pound difference in weight, it would feel about the same to both of us. Though not inexpensive, the mattress was a lot cheaper than the one we were replacing after 10 years (a "premium", $$$$ mattress that went "parallelogram" on the sides, leaning to one side). The mattress arrived in a giant, unwieldy box. Once it was finally upstairs, we were in love with it! We moved to Hawaii 3 years later and put that mattress in storage, missing it every night! 10 years later, we pulled it out of storage where, unbeknownst to us, it had slid down, folded in half...like a taco for 10 years! Shocked, we found that it was as good as new! We put it in my parents' guest bedroom where we sleep, twice a year for a couple of weeks, we sleep wonderfully. Fast-forward to 2020, my husband began having severe back spasms and finally agreed with me that we needed a new mattress. I researched exhaustively for just the right mattress. There were so many unknowns and according to Consumer Reports, the claimed firmness of box mattresses is extremely inaccurate. I convinced my husband that we should duplicate our beloved mattress from 2000. I called Arizona Premium Mattress and Ken is still answering phone! After getting a shipping estimate, we decided it was well worth getting a mattress we knew we would love, and that would last us the rest of our lives! The king mattress now ships in 3 boxes (2 with 1 twin latex mattress each and 1 with a latex topper and the cover); much easier to deal with. The mattress is firm and supportive, yet not hard at all. I love that it's only 9" thick so I don't need a step stool to get in bed any more. We don't have A/C, live in Hawaii so we really appreciate that the mattress is so well ventilated that it doesn't get hot at all. I have asthma and my husband has lots of allergies so the completely natural, allergy-free nature of latex is perfect. The bamboo cover helps as well. We sleep really well on this mattress and my husband's back is much, much better. Almost every night he comments how happy he is that we bought it. Latex mattresses are worth the price! They're more than many bed-in-a-box mattresses and less than many "premium" innerspring mattresses. Latex DOES NOT have any noxious odors! We couldn't smell it while we were assembling it! 0% odor while sleeping on it! I do recommend watching all of Ken's videos about assembling the mattress. It's not difficult, but you need to expect it to be a tight fit (who wants a loose cover!) and how to work the mattress into the cover. Ken was extremely helpful on the phone with some tips as well. From the very beginning we've had such a positive experience with Arizona Premium Mattress. My husband and had been searching far and wide for our perfect sleep enabler, after years of sleeping on an old coil spring mattress with a too soft memory foam topper. Our bodies ached, we didn't sleep well, etc. And if we were going to get a mattress... well golly gee it was going to be the best, natural mattress in the world... within our budget. We embarked on a holy grail-style adventure, hopping around from organic mattress store to organic mattress store. Some experiences were better than others (see my other reviews), but the costs were just extravagant. One weekend, we took a romantic getaway trip to Sedona. On our way back to L.A., I randomly googled mattress places near Phoenix. I called Arizona Premium Mattress. While their store wouldn't open until 9 or so, they were willing to let us sneak in early for a private tour. First class! We met the upholstery guy, Kenny, who was just a sweetheart. He showed us their small but perfect selection. As soon as we lay down, we looked at each other and just knew. This wasn't like the other stores, where we had to bounce from bed to bed, uncertain. We met the owner, Ken, signed up for the pillow deal (check their website), ordered the mattress, and away we went. In a few weeks, the mattress came in 3 big boxes. It was Christmas morning all over again. A few stuffs and zips, and snap, we had a new, beautiful, natural latex bed with a beautifully soft bamboo covering. It was mid-day, but we hopped into bed like nobody's business. And napped, and napped, and napped. I swore over and over again to my husband, "This bed smells like vanilla ice cream in a freshly made waffle cone!" It still does. We purchased our mattress a few months back from the owner Ken. We had each side custom made, one side firm the other soft. After 1 month we decided that 1 side was too firm. Called Ken and he said bring in the topper and lets try a #19. Took it back brought it home and wala, sleeping like a baby. Ken and his crew run his business the old fashioned way. Bought a cotton mattress cover for my latex mattress. Quality seems goo but would buy elsewhere due to slow shipping and mediocre customer service. Details- Pros: -Cover seems like pretty good quality. It does say organic cotton and is pretty soft with no smell. With much struggle, it did fit my cal king mattress. I think it's supposed to be tight though. The zipper is pretty flimsy (tiny and plastic), but since it will hardly ever be used it's probably ok. Cons: -Didn't arrive until nearly a month after ordering. The online store said 'availability: usually ships in 1-2 weeks'. They didn't actually ship the cover until over 3 weeks from placing the order. -The contact information supplied with my order confirmation email was not correct. I submitted a status update request using the form and received no reply. After 2 days with no reply I called the phone numbers listed on the contact form and was asked 'why are you calling here, online orders are totally different people'. I was then given an email that is not listed. At least I did eventually get a reply via the email address. read more

My king size is 4 years old and I am a BIG man. 420 when I bought it... Now down to 240. It shows NO signs of wear. No sagging, depressions, bunching, lumps or anything and I do the routine maintenance (turn it whenever I remember to), and it has performed magnificently! No squeaks! No noise whatsoever! The bamboo cover is as clean and fresh as the day I placed it, not a stitch has come undone and I consider this to be the best investment I ever made for sleep, health, complete loss of back and neck pain and life itself. We received our king sized wood mattress foundation and, after waiting two weeks for the mattress foundation to arrive and assembling it, we realized it doesn't fit in our bed frame, the foundation is too wide!!!! So I called to get resolution and they're company is closed from July 1-9! Now what do we do?! We have been sleeping on a small camping mattress for two weeks and we desperately need to sleep in a real bed. I checked the specs on the web site and the bed frame is in fact 1/2" wider than the dimensions listed so it is not our bed frame. We have been looking for a mattress for over a year and we found it today. This review is restricted to the buying process...I will update the delivery and sleeping comfort experience once that happens. Simply said, about a year ago our bones started telling us that it is time for our 9- year old Beautyrest to "retire". I'd rather deliver twins than shop for the mystery mattress. We checked out the top of the line Pillow-Top coil mattresses and the ever popular TP Memory Foam. Friends that have the TP tell us they either love or hate their mattress. (I think some of those that love them do so because they have so much invested they can't afford not to.) Then we checked-out the Sleep Number and were almost sold on their top of the line model. Our kids have had a SN for 10 years. He loves it; she hates it. Given the $$$$(with adjustable base) price tag we did a lot of research and found that SN has some mold issues and too many parts that can go south. (Called the SN kids to tell them about the potential for mold and bingo, upon checking, they found mold in their mattress. ) That squelched that deal for us...we want a bed, not maintenance issues. Mattress retailers were of little help. To quote "Mattress Firm", we felt that we were about to make the next "8 year mistake". Nothing seemed to fit and those that came close required a small mortgage. We were really getting discouraged and semi-agreed that we would buy something "untested" from Costco Online so that we could, at minimum, return it without hassle if it did not work out. Before taking the plunge, I continued to look online and found two mattress review sites that were very helpful. The Mattress Undergound and Sleep Like the Dead. Reading those, it seemed that most people were happiest with Latex, a material that we had not previously considered. At first I though I was going to have to buy a mattress untested from an online source. Alas, on Mattress Underground, I saw a referral to Arizona Premium Mattress Factory. This afternoon we drove the 30 minutes or so to this factory showroom. It is really not fancy (but very efficient). Ken, the owner could not have been more welcoming. When we arrived Ken was with another customer. He took a moment to greet us and continued working with the customer. It was evident that he knows what he is talking about and believes in his product. Soon it was our turn to meet with Ken and try out the Mattresses--he showed us various options and we tested them all. He assured us that he can make any latex configuration to meet our needs. We tried the various mattresses and they all felt great but we fell love with the Ultra Plush Firm. We loved the mattress so much we spent the next hour or so lying on the mattress talking to Ken and the other customer who was also lying on the mattresses. Very weird i know--but you had to be there. We considered ordering dinner in but finally took out our credit card and purchased a latex mattress that will be custom made to our design and comfort specifications, plus an adjustable base, and four pillows. It will take two-weeks to manufacture our bed...seriously, we have set a countdown clock! I will update this review with the delivery, set-up, and sleeping experience once events occur. BTW, we discovered that most of Ken's business is online. We are lucky to live close by but I would not hesitate to buy at a distance from this gent. Well, even though Greg seemed clueless regarding our order, we received our mattress topper the day after my previous review. Never did receive the return phone call from Greg. Our item was sent by Ken the owner of the business so there must be some communication issues within the business and as I've documented there are definitely communication issues between the business and its customers. We purchased our latex mattress about three months ago. I can honestly say that it is one of the best purchases that we have EVER made! I was a bit skeptical in purchasing a latex bed, but we were reassured that it had many benefits including longevity, lasting comfort, and no more flipping of the mattress. Also the owner, Ken, was great to work with and they make the beds here in Arizona, so we were able to get ours custom made with one side being firmer than the other. Heavenly!!!! After a great deal of research, on my wife's part, to find an organic and natural mattress without chemicals and smells which would breathe and provide support and proper airflow she came upon Arizona Premium Mattress Co. After several phone calls with Greg, sales, and researching the answers given we then both went in and met with Ken, the owner. After a great deal of consulting and discussion of the process and the details of production and source of materials we purchased the King size Talalay, All natural latex, medium build with 3" topper. We also purchased a pillow made of the same natural product. This mattress has provided us the best nights' sleep in i don't know how long. The mattress supports every part of the body and just feels good. Waking up to backaches and hurt shoulders or having to roll over in the middle of the night is over.
