We've been shopping for granite slabs for our kitchen countertops. Arizona Tile came highly recommended to us by multiple friends, family and contractors. They were our 1st stop and we found many slabs they we liked but wanted to do our due diligence and shop around. After visiting a few other locations we quickly realized that the best prices as well as variety we're found at Arizona Tile! Today we had an appointment (that my wife made this morning) and we decided a few hours later that we had too much on our plate to make the 1pm appointment so my wife called to cancel. A few hours later we decided that we could make it but at a later time. Called back and was given the last appointment for the day (3pm). We were traveling from Modesto and had ample time to make the appointment (navigation had us arriving at 2:30pm) but there was a bad accident on the Altamont heading towards Livermore. Our navigation now had us arriving at 4pm (when they start to close). We had to call again and let them know that we might not make it on time. They were reassuring and said they would keep the slabs out for us. We finally made it and were greeted by Angela Soleta who showed us to the slabs we had requested. After all of the trouble we had put them through... we didn't like what they had pulled for us. My wife and I went back and forth and Angela was extremely patient and helpful to us throughout our visit. At 3:55 she asked if there was anything else that we would like to see as she was scheduled to be off work at 4pm. She knew the direction my wife and I were leaning and did some research on her computer and had the guys pull 2 more slabs for us (they normally limit you to 2 types per visit, understandably). At the time of her request the guys in the warehouse were currently loading a will-call. They quickly finished and let her know (via walkie talkie) that they were pulling the book-matching slabs that she had requested for us (the 2 slabs were in different areas of the warehouse). As soon as we saw the 1st slab we knew it was what we were looking for and when the 2nd piece was set next to it I saw that my wife was going to be happy (which means I was gonna be happy)! It was now well past 4pm and we let Angela know that she had found the slabs of granite that we wanted she got the paper work rolling and she personally attached our paper work to the granite herself and assured us that our pieces would be wrapped and stored for our fabricator (who she had already contacted with the information for our slabs). We never felt rushed even with our late arrival and back and forth undecidedness. Normally at this stage you have narrowed down your selection to the final two choices... we were still very much undecided but hoping to find something we loved and thanks to Angela and Arizona Tile, we did! read more

Each person I came into contact with over the phone and in person was friendly and helpful. Kathy was the consultant for our project and she made it very easy. She helped us select our tiles and made suggestions with the design, all within our budget. The showroom is large and beautiful, and the whole experience was the most fun part of our remodeling project! We have received many compliments on the finished product and wouldn't hesitate to return to Arizona Tile when we remodel our next bathroom. read more

I've used Arizona Tile twice. I'm super disappointed this time. I'm onto phase two of a kitchen remodel. I came in a few weeks ago and picked out a granite slab (for the second time). I put it on hold so that my contractor/fabricator could come to pay for it and pick it up. I received a phone call stating that my contractor tried to pick it up but he's not the contractor listed on my invoice. I called back immediately to find that for some reason Arizona Tile put down the wrong contractor. I was then told that since I "changed" my fabricator that I had to pay for it immediately or I would lose the slab. Immediately? I didn't make the mistake of listing the wrong contractor?!? I'm not even going to get into how rude the employee was on the phone. I reluctantly paid for it so that we wouldn't lose the slab. I was planning on using Arizona Tile for my tile backsplash needs. Not anymore. Too many other great local options. You lost a customer Arizona Tile. FOLLOW UP: I can't seem to publicly respond to Arizona Tile's response so, I am doing it here. Arizona Tile~While I appreciate your response, I think you have me confused with another customer. I never changed my contractor. Not once. This was a phase 2 portion of a remodel with the same contractor. The mistake was made on your end, not mine. OF COURSE you can't release a product until it's paid for, that's common sense. That wasn't the problem. Your EXTREMELY rude employee demanded that it be paid for that day and it was 4pm. During our first phase my contractor paid for the slab when it was picked up. From what I understand, that is more common than not. I am super surprised that you are blaming the customer for a mistake that your employee's made. Bad business practice. Ordered an upgrade for my new house. When we went to select slabs there was no option other than the 3 they showed and it was supposedly a 3 slab job so we didn't get to pick one from another. There were stains on the slab that we "X"ed off for them not to use. When we went to view the house both spots we told them not to use are installed. Now they are refusing to replace. Beautiful showroom with exquisite items. The only problem is we have never felt more "unwelcome" in a retail setting. Even though we have 3 tile projects underway, the sales woman made us feel as though we were intruding on her personal space by being there with an intent to purchase. The store was completely empty and she was on the phone for quite a while and when she hung up we had to approach her first to ask questions. Answers were short and abrupt providing only minimal information. No offer of help or ideas was forthcoming. No one likes being smothered and hovered over in stores, but we felt this expeirence was opposite of that. We were the only potential customers in the store, had a specific project in mind, were ready to buy, and were actively soliciting the sales woman for ideas and solutions. Despite that, we were treated like a couple of window shoppers who stepped in to waste her time. We made a purchase for our smaller project and again felt as though we were keeping her from more important tasks. Our only quess is that the owners hired her as part of a business prevention plan. Needless to say, we will purchase for our two larger projects somewhere else! read more

We have used Arizona Tile now for two re-model projects in our home. Last year a Master Bath and this year Kitchen re-model. Sylvia was so very helpful in picking out samples for our new backsplash. We brought in a sample of our new countertop and explained the look we were going for... she led us right to what we wanted and suggested a few others. The ease of taking pieces home to see how the finished product would look and her expertise and knowledge was such a big help. The minute I got them home I found the perfect match... The order desk is always so knowledgeable and very courteous as well... everything about the experience at Arizona Tile is definitely five stars! There were two other women in the showroom that helped us out as well.. I am so sorry I have forgotten their names but they should be acknowledged as well... again, 5 star service! This review is solely based on customer service. We came in on their busiest day (Sat), but they were not prepared to deal with multiple groups. There is no order or sign in sheet to be helped, so we ended up walking around for quite a while. We simply left as no one was able to help and we kept getting passed by others needing help. No one could even stop to answer a basic question like pricing or what material something is. It's great that they are so busy, but I would never move forward with a company who sets this tone from the start. I'll take my big order elsewhere! read more

She explained what we should do in detail..inquired about our project and let us browse the showroom. Why would anyone go anywhere else? This business has the most wonderful selection of marble, granite, quartz and tile that you could ask for, and at reasonable prices. Not only that, but EVERY employee I came in contact with was KNOWLEDGABLE and super polite and helpful. Whoever does the hiring here does a GREAT job. They only sell material, so there is no conflict of interest. They referred us a fabricator that was AMAZING, just a mile away. We have received so many compliments on our new kitchen counters. This place has a good selection of granite but holy moly the gals at the slab front desk... not sure if they hate their jobs or what but they are so rude and unhelpful. I've been to Arizona Tile twice - the first about a year ago, and then again this morning. Not once have I been approached by an employee - not once, and there were at least 3 working. Not even a "can I help you find something" or "tell us about your project" or "grab me when I can be of assistance"... nothing. Done. We're currently building a home with Pulte homes and they sent us to Arizona Tile to pick out our Granite slabs. This place is huge and everyone here seems to be very friendly. Unlucky for us, by the time we got there, there was exactly 3 slabs of the Granite that we wanted and we need all 3. Luckily, the 3 didn't seem so bad so we decided to move forward with the order. I do recommend to come early or call and ask when will they be having new shipments before you pay a visit. Since we live over an hour away, it didn't make sense for us to return again since this was already our second visit. Our first visit we didn't know what we want so that was a problem. It will be tremendous help if you already know what you want or at least narrow it down to 2 options when you arrive as the workers here are more like order takers. They don't seem to give you their opinions but this can be a good thing because it should all about your own design and personal preference.h read more

Tile was good but their customer service is bad, whatever they tell you get it in writing. When I purchased the tile I was told that the tile was sold by the piece and it could be returned by the piece. I had unused pieces and they would not refund me for them. They said it was not their return policy, but I told them that is what I was told, we argued but they refused, and now it is on me. read more

I'm in the process of remodeling my kitchen & bathrooms and was referred to Arizona Tile by my contractor. They have a huge selection of granite & tiles on display. They have a beautiful showroom which is nice to really get a feel and vision. The customer service is top notch and they even let me take home several samples at no charge. Some other places I went to took down my credit card info if I didn't return the samples in 5 business days which is kind of a hassle. 5 star hands down!! I highly recommend going to Arizona Tile in search of your granite. Jesse Mora in customer service was a tremendous help! I had a certain granite in mind but everywhere I went there were cracks in this particular granite. Jesse suggested we go outside and look at some granite that had just come in and was even still crated. I found the perfect granite. I ended up liking it better than the one that was cracked. Jesse and the guys were nice enough to uncrate this granite and let me look at the slabs. Now, that is customer service! Jesse went above and beyond to satisfy her customer. read more

Return policy sucks. They'll let you order as little or as much tile as you want, but try to return some left over and they'll tell you no can do. Bad part is they don't tell you this up front. There are too many other good tile retailers to have to put up with service like this. read more

This review is for the online ordering -tile order desk only. We were in a hurry and needed to order a particular floor tile that we liked and since this was the closest arizona tile location, decided to go through them. The tile order desk is not efficient at all. They charged me a whopping $90 for 5 boxes of tiles for overnight shipping, and informed me that all orders placed before 12pm go out the same day. I placed my order around 10:30 and even got an email confirmation that "This will be shipped today". However, after waiting half of the next day, following up with them and again being told that its out for delivery, no tiles arrive. They were irritated that i asked them the question and told me -we are not a shipping company, we dont know the details, etc.". Well, if you charge me a humongous amount for this, the least i expect is for you to have a tracking number so you can tell what the status is. Anyhow, early next morning i call them again. and am told, it should be there between 12:30 - 2:30 today. When i explain my situation, say i had paid overnight shipping, etc, they say the charge was for delivery itself, not for overnight!! Completely unapologetic, rude and lacking basic customer service skills.. read more

I went into Arizona tile last week and when I walked in there were two co workers talking I walking around without being helped for a good ten minutes. One girl greeted me but she looked like she was out to lunch. The two women stopped talking after a while and asked if I needed help I said I was just looking I walked around for a bit and when I tried to find them again I couldn't find them. I sat in the store waiting for help and when the women didn't come back I started to leave and as I was walking out the door they came out and said bye. This is by far the worst customer service I've ever had I won't be coming back to this location. read more

We had a small project to re-tile our fireplace, which was damaged by roof leaking and very happy to find Arizona Tile by a simple search in local business and got beautiful marble tiles from them. The company has beautiful showroom with huge selections and displays in Livermore. Outside of the showroom, there are good collections of big granite slabs I have never seen before. However, what impressed us more was their customer service. We had an issue with some defects on the marble tile polished surface, and our customer service rep. Ryan helped us to solve the issue right away after a quick phone call. We really appreciate Ryan's outstanding customer service! One more thing I would like to mention is that Arizona Livermore showroom doesn't stock the products, you need to order and pick up your order at a later time. In our case, pick-up was two days later, not a problem at all. For people who may have rigid schedules for your granite/marble projects should do your shopping early. read more
