Tuna melt cooked until it was grey and brown, sickening
    Lou D.

Diner just brushed it off, never again, Other local diners tuna is white with melted cheese. I'm actually nauseous. You don't cook tuna salad until it's brown, and it has a bad fish taste

A very popular diner due to the "vintage and classic" look it has on the outside. The signature neon sign is known to all (and has been featured in some films). The food? Well. First of all, I expect all diners to have decent breakfast items (pancakes, BEC, THEG), sandwiches and burgers, and fried appetizers (disco fries, mozz sticks). This is the bare minimum. Some diners that have higher reviews I feel safe to order some "off brand" items like Italian pasta dishes, salads, seafood. When I walked in, I could tell by the vibes that I needed to stick with the basic menu items. I ordered the classic tuna melt - came on rye and included fries. I upgraded to sweet potato. The fries were decent and were the nice "eczema fries" - meaning they have that nice crispy outer layer to them. I would have liked them thinner. The tuna melt was just wrong. It was an open face melt, but barely toasted up and was cold in some areas. They also put a crazy amount of tuna salad - to the point that it would slop off. The quality of the tomatoes on the sandwich was questionable. Just really unpleasant to eat. I expected this diner to nail an easy tuna melt, but it was wrong wrong wrong.

I live a couple of blocks away stopped in for some breakfast on a beautiful Sunday morning. Front staff and waitress is super warm and friendly. Offered some coffee as soon as we sat down and gave us ample time to check out the menu. Food came out fast, which was good because we were starving. Taylor ham, egg, and cheese and breakfast sampler was decent. Nothing remarkable, and same about the coffee but the friendly staff made it worthwhile. You'll find all typical diner fare here. I'll have to stop by again for lunch and dinner.

My first time at a diner and it was a great experience. The service was very good. Prices are amazing and lots of chooses. The food was very good and the coffee was surprisingly very good. Definitely going back again.

When in NJ & it is late at night you have to find a iconic diner( sad that so many are not 24hrs) anymore. Had not been to the Arlington diner in many years. We had great service & classic late night fare. The Arlington still has its classic charm, amazing baked goods- baked on site & good food. We were so glad they were open past 11pm & walked away will full bellies. So looking for a 6 page diner menu, late night treats - drive to North Arlington & check them out.

Mirrors on the ceiling! We had cheesecake for dessert that was divine!

I ordered the breakfast burrito along with a vanilla, honey, cinnamon latte with espresso. I loved the unique twist. My friend ordered the avocado toast (without egg) and the chickpea salad sandwich. Both looked fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Overall, Sugar Tree Café offers delicious food, excellent coffee, charming décor, and attentive service. It's cozy, genuine, and the kind of place where you can tell there's a lot of love going into what comes out of the kitchen. And speaking of that kitchen--you can see it from pretty much every seat in the house. Watching several cooks navigate what looks like an incredibly tiny space is almost mesmerizing. Somehow, they move around each other seamlessly, and the best part? The food comes out FAST. My wife went with the hummus, and it was creamy, flavorful, and delicious. But the surprise star on the side was the salted dried kale chip--such a simple little addition, but ridiculously good. Then came my pancakes. Out of this world. Small in diameter, but super thick, with a beautifully crispy exterior giving way to an interior that was fluffy, light, and airy. I've tried making this style of pancake at home countless times, and I still have absolutely no idea how to get that texture. The syrup and berries were the perfect finishing touches. Everything just worked. I've made and had soooo many pancakes in my life, and this is easily top 3 best. The Corner is the kind of place that makes you start planning your next visit before you've even left. I'll be dreaming about getting back to this Corner.

Maybe the experience would have been different dining in, so I'd be open to trying them again and ordering something else next time.

There's free street parking right up front. I've been here twice and both visits were positive experiences. The cafe is small, but cozy. The greenery and natural lighting make it a welcoming space to meet up with a friend over coffee and pastries or to study. There's a few tables, a couch, and stool seating facing the window. There's also free wifi and outlets. The tables are on the smaller side and the cafe isn't that big, so it's probably not best for large groups. Their menu is simple and a bit limited. Honestly... I prefer it that way! They have your core espresso drinks and a few paninis and croissant sandwiches. They bake their own pastries fresh on the premises. I recommend trying their cookies - they are huge, soft, and chewy! They also specialize in custom cakes for special occasions. Everything is reasonably priced. Baristas are sweet and efficient. They make some tasty iced lattes! The espresso is strong, but not too bitter. It has just the right balance of coffee and milk. I recently tried the Ham Solo sandwich ($10) which included scrambled egg, ham, cheddar, and avocado on a croissant with a side of chips. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't order it again. The egg was dry and the ham and cheese tasted like those cheap, pre-sliced ones from grocery stores. If I lived closer, I could see myself stopping by more often. It was also quite dry, any ketchup that was on there got soaked up by the hash brown. My boyfriend ordered a breakfast burrito and really enjoyed it though! The frappe was pretty good. I ordered it because I thought it would be frozen and it was a hot day, but I learned Greek frappes are not served that way!
