A very popular diner due to the "vintage and classic" look it has on the outside. The signature neon sign is known to all (and has been featured in some films). The food? Well. First of all, I expect all diners to have decent breakfast items (pancakes, BEC, THEG), sandwiches and burgers, and fried appetizers (disco fries, mozz sticks). This is the bare minimum. Some diners that have higher reviews I feel safe to order some "off brand" items like Italian pasta dishes, salads, seafood. When I walked in, I could tell by the vibes that I needed to stick with the basic menu items. I ordered the classic tuna melt - came on rye and included fries. I upgraded to sweet potato. The fries were decent and were the nice "eczema fries" - meaning they have that nice crispy outer layer to them. I would have liked them thinner. The tuna melt was just wrong. It was an open face melt, but barely toasted up and was cold in some areas. They also put a crazy amount of tuna salad - to the point that it would slop off. The quality of the tomatoes on the sandwich was questionable. Just really unpleasant to eat. I expected this diner to nail an easy tuna melt, but it was wrong wrong wrong.

I live a couple of blocks away stopped in for some breakfast on a beautiful Sunday morning. Front staff and waitress is super warm and friendly. Offered some coffee as soon as we sat down and gave us ample time to check out the menu. Food came out fast, which was good because we were starving. Taylor ham, egg, and cheese and breakfast sampler was decent. Nothing remarkable, and same about the coffee but the friendly staff made it worthwhile. You'll find all typical diner fare here. I'll have to stop by again for lunch and dinner.

My first time at a diner and it was a great experience. The service was very good. Prices are amazing and lots of chooses. The food was very good and the coffee was surprisingly very good. Definitely going back again.

How many pages!?!? So many choices. Breakfast served all day.

When in NJ & it is late at night you have to find a iconic diner( sad that so many are not 24hrs) anymore. Had not been to the Arlington diner in many years. We had great service & classic late night fare. The Arlington still has its classic charm, amazing baked goods- baked on site & good food. We were so glad they were open past 11pm & walked away will full bellies. So looking for a 6 page diner menu, late night treats - drive to North Arlington & check them out.

Mirrors on the ceiling! We had cheesecake for dessert that was divine!

Arlington Diner has been a staple to the community for as long as I can remember. They have been closed due to the fact that Northern NJ has been hit hard by the pandemic but this weekend they have been punching out nothing but cheesecakes the whole weekend!! I read that beginning on May 11th they are back to take out. Usually, their cheesecake is reserved for when my junior football team wins a game. Obviously this weekend is equally special being mother's day. You can go small or large; plain, with strawberries, blueberries or cherries. I went with the traditional strawberries. Everything is baked on site. Strawberries were SOOOO fresh and good. It was creamy and you can tell it was just made. In normal times, they go through their cheesecakes hand over foot, so it's always on point. Last night, the fork just glided right through it like a searing knife through butter. Absolute slice of heaven. If you're ever in the North Arlington area, don't hesitate to stop in and grab a slice. You can send me a thank you note later!!

The bill was $25.00 and I left a cash tip of $5 for good service. There menu is quite extensive for breakfast, lunch or dinner with daily specials as the location id just off Route 3 where Lyndhurst meets Rutherford on Orient Way. It has a passionate, loyal following of area residents be it North Arlington, Lyndhurst, Rutherford and a strong stream of truckers too. Want a reliable meal at the right price? Unfortunately, this experience didn't fully reflect the quality I've come to expect. A few of our dishes really missed the mark. The lobster mac & cheese special was especially disappointing, I couldn't find a single chunk of lobster. It was made with cheddar cheese and even had tomato in it, which made the overall combination taste off and fairly bland. We actually took the gnocchi home so I could take a closer look, and there truly was no visible lobster, if anything, it may have been just a crumble that you couldn't even appreciate, which defeats the purpose of a lobster mac & cheese. The steak sandwich ordered medium came out overcooked and with a lot of fat making it hard to enjoy removing fat as you eat it and the Cuban sandwich was quite dry. On a positive note, my quinoa chicken bowl was good, and my boyfriend breakfast sandwich as always was great. Our waiter was super nice, and the ambience is always comfortable and inviting. I'm sharing this feedback with the intention of helping, as this has always been a go-to spot for me, and I look forward to continuing to have the great experiences I know you're capable of delivering. One more thing, please bring back the original kale salad. Your new menu lists a new version that changes the whole thing. Including a picture of the original to refresh your memory from 2 years ago. Thank you!
