We have been bringing our vehicles here after finding them about five years ago. It was hard to find a shop that we could trust to do quality work at a fair price on our out of warranty vehicles. Our sons Audi all road was having problems as it aged. During our most recent service experience the vehicle was towed in due to a breakdown. Jimmy our service advisor was very knowledgeable and he and his team were able to quickly diagnose and repair the problem. While the vehicle was there we had them diagnose and repair problems related to the air ride suspension, control arms, axle boot as well as the cooling system. During Jimmy's absence Chris the owner and Mike jumped in and kept the ball rolling on the repairs. We were even offered a loaner vehicle while repairs were being completed. To top it all off the vehicle was returned to us clean and washed. I would not hesitate telling anybody that I know to bring their vehicles here for repairs. This is my second review for APC. I just had a few things done on my 2008 Mercedes and wanted to post another great review for these guys. We bring all three of our cars here from Milwaukee. The service, quality of work (especially diagnostic work) and honesty is worth the nearly three hour round trip I have to make to have my cars serviced here. Mark, Jimmy, Chris and all other staff have always been friendly and professional. APC continues to impress me with their spot on diagnostics. I drove down from Madison, WI to look at a car at a nearby dealership and called that morning to see if they could look it over for me before making any decisions to buy. They also physically pointed out any concerns they had with the car or issues that may need to be addressed in the future as well as points that could be mentioned while negotiating a fair price. Was told my BMW needed harness for rear taillight area. Employee said cost was $185 including parts and labor. Took it to my regular mechanic who fixed problem with a wire and a screw. That's the difference between a regular repair shop that can't think outside the box and a great natural mechanic. Took car there for synthetic oil change as my mechanic doesn't work on weekends. I have taken my BMW as well as my family's BMWs and Nissans here for service numerous times over the last 5 years. I have also recommended friends with BMWs, Audis and Porches. They have always done a stand up job, been honorable to their word and while staying competitively priced. Don't put the dealer's kids through an ivy league education. Sure they don't have designer furniture in the waiting area, but I do not need that. They accommodate their customers needs very well. My wife had her battery replaced last year and this winter her car would die when it got really cold out. Found out that it was a manufacturer issue with the battery...they replaced the battery under warranty no problem, free of charge. This has been my only experience with them, but they seem very trustworthy and i would do business with them again. read more

I have been taking my bmw 750 il to them for three years to have all the service work done. What a great place!!! Before take my car to them I was going to the dealer and paying at least double for the same service. I guess I was paying for the free coffee and the nice show room before. Had my bmw serviced/repaired at this shop 6 or 7 times now and am happy with them. The guys in the front desks are all very nice (they always do follow up calls to let you know what's going on), the service is good and the prices are pretty reasonable. You get dealership value for less money in my opinion. I much rather come here than a bmw dealership. read more

I've used them for the last 6-7 years, there work was good but pricy. Last Friday I had taken my wife's car in for service, was advised the parts required would not arrive till Monday. So, she can take the car home for the weekend. When existing there lot on the busy Rand Rd. all the car could do was speed up to around 10 plus miles an hour and no more. Stepping on the gas didn't help in getting the car up to speed, thankfully she was able to pull off the road. We switched cars and I experience the same, pulled it over and parked the car. Later when the traffic died down brought the car back to shop, with a not to happy note from my wife. This could of been serious accident looking for a place to happen. Why Arlington Performance did not test drive a car they had been working on is beyond me. My wife does not want her car to ever to go back, and maybe time to switch to another Auto Repair shop. read more

My late model Mercedes just came off warranty when it developed an occasional engine noise. After an expensive visit to the Dealer with no success, I made an appointment at APC. Driving past this shop everyday I saw they were always busy and the parking lot was full of German cars. The people at this repair center are the most courteous and honest folks I have ever taken my car to. My problem was identified and repaired in two days and the cost was well below what the MB dealer wanted for the repair. I read the Yelp reviews before taking my car here. If you want your expensive import repaired with a wire and a screw or chewing gum and a hairpin, don't visit these professionals. read more

I've been here before with no issues thought they were great. I felt finally a trusting place that could use for minor services.... First I want to say my girlfriends father is a mechanic... Took my girlfriends car here for an oil change since her father lives about an hour away and this place is walking distance. Oil changed good no problem. Next day she came back from work I noticed a green puddle(coolent). Took it back to Arlington performance I thought maybe something became loose never had an issue like this before. They said I need to replace a gasket behind a timing chain. Because it's behind the motor there is a lot of labor to get to it. Repair cost was quoted @ $750 so much for something getting loose... I called my girl friends father ( the mechanic ) he told me to check the coolent reservoir cap. Sure enough the cap was cross threaded. I went to auto-zone spent $8 for a new cap and $13 for more coolent. Turns out that's all that was wrong with her car. Either this shop has idiots working there or they are SCAMMERS! I will not returning to them I suggest you do the same. read more

i have taken all my cars (bmw, mercedes, honda, mitsubishi, mazda) to this shop of experienced mechanics whom have never tried to upsell me into unneeded repairs , in fact, on many occasion they have told me not to bother repairing something they felt could wait or was insignificant...if you are looking for a spotless shop with service bays you could eat dinner off , this is not your place(though most of the guys here used to work at one of those places) but the waiting area is pleasant and appears to be constantly improving...all the employees are very courtious and have even taken the time to run out and look at my car on occasions that i have been driving by and had a concern about a noise or such...i have recommended this spot to friends including the owner of a lexus Ls 400 who was quoted $3800 from a local lexus dealer for an in depth dash AC repair, her cost here was just over $1000 read more
