My husband had surprised me with a quick getaway, and I want to say I loved seeing so many people with face masks on! I saw this place on Yelp since we were hungry but didn't know what was around so we gave it a try. I'm so happy we did because they were so nice as soon as we walked in. Of course with COVID, they had a limited menu and what I had wanted wasn't on there. I decided to go outside of my comfort zone and tried the roast beef sandwich. My son also went out of his comfort zone and tried their Eureka wings. My husband couldn't go wrong with their cheeseburger. My sandwich was cooked to perfection, crispy, flaky, and tender roast beef. It was my first time having a roast beef sandwich that wasn't from Arby's. It was amazing! Now moving on with my sons entree. His wings were cooked perfect and the flavors were interesting to try. He loved them and ate them right up. My husband said the burger was cooked well and it was like any other burger. The best thing we had tried was their macaroni and cheese! It had some kind of topping that made it that much more special. I highly recommend trying this place out and trying new things you may not normally try. Happened to get a parking spot in Manitou Springs after visiting Garden of the Gods and was pleasantly surprised! Our waitress (forgot her name) made our visit excellent! She concocted a grilled orangeaide from scratch (no alcohol by choice) FAB! We had the loaded Brussels, Ruben, vegan pulled pork, brisket and even the vegan pulled pork - all FAB!! I found the food here so much better than some trendy places in Breckenridge! So happy we got a chance to check it out. Later our waitress told us to check out the spring water samples in town. Walking through the beautiful town of Manitou Springs Armadillo RAnch is located on the Main Street of the Downtown area of Manitou Springs . Look for an orange building and there's an outline of an Armadillo in Blue light ... you enter and there a nice bar inside with open concept kitchen and a nice spacious restaurant ..with amazingly very friendly staff ... we were looking for a place to eat after driving all day and I'm so happy we found the Armadillo RAnch . Co - owner Glenn is so welcoming and helpful and he even suggests many things to do in Manitou Springs . The menu has a wide variety of delicious Southwestern menu I chose the Combo plate which had so flavorful pulled pork which was delicious, perfect spices with brisket and sausage and they even make their own barbecue sauce which is so tasty you want to dip it in everything . We ordered French fries with queso also very delicious .. the two young ladies chefs in the kitchen were working very quickly preparing delicious foods on there menu . I highly recommend stopping by the Armadillo RAnch for a Great menu if you'd like to try Southwestern Foods from Colorado . Very nice vibe and staff so friendly and ( myself coming from Hawaii ) .... I would say reminded me of home because of the warm welcoming feeling from staff . This place just opened and it's fantastic!! The restaurant is clean with great atmosphere, the bar is newly lacquered and fully stocked. I had the Chicken Parmesan and it was so good! There portions are very generous, so I had it for dinner as well. It's a fun place, with live music, movie nights and Trivia Wednesday. We ordered takeout during the Covid-19 lockdown, and it was well worth the crosstown trip. The Honey Bacon Brussels Sprouts are really tasty, and the potato salad is awesome. Unique taste, very flavorful. My Stacked Roast Beef was full of meat, and my wife's Reuben was excellent. Nothing was ordinary, not the flavors, the buns, the meat; but don't take that to mean you'll find it too unusual. I was hopeful because of the reviews on Facebook. I'm a local and I love spending my money with locals. Unfortunately my experience was so-so... I wasn't greeted when we came in and finally had to ask the gentleman behind the bar if we should seat ourselves. He was literally 10 feet away from us and saw that we were standing there and said nothing until I talked to him. I ordered a simple BLT ($9.00) and it was terrible. How can you mess up a BLT??? Bacon was old and burnt, the sandwich was too small and the veggies were sad. I was starving so I ate half but was seriously disappointed. Kids grilled cheese was good as were the fries. The kids pasta was topped with a not so great meatball and the sauce was too spicy for kids but that's just a matter of taste. I'm bummed that I was so letdown. Every review has been amazing. Service was okay but felt a little ignored even though the restaurant was relatively quiet. I hate leaving a bad review but I worry that if that's the norm they won't last very long. First visit to Armadillo Ranch and unfortunately it was not an experience that will bring us back. House margaritas, french fries & Queso/chips were good. But the place was severely lacking in staff; kind of a dive bar with no indication if there was wait staff or if we needed to order at the bar. We finally found out there was one wonder woman bartender/waitress who was very kind and helpful. However, our main dishes from the cook were bad. My Beyond burger was inedible and barely warm. The ciabatta bun bottom was so hard it could not be eaten. The rest of the burger became cold and eventually after trying a couple of cuts thru the top bun, I just could not eat it. When I handed the bottom bun to our waitress, she immediately agreed to remove it from our tab. Hubs veggie sammie was OK, but dry. Might drop in one day for a drink and Queso/chips if we're walking around Manitou, but... doubt it. read more

Stopped in for drinks one night after the place had been remodeled. The prices were good and the drinks were better. I stopped in again for lunch and their lunch special menu was pretty good could have had just a bit more imo. I ordered the meatball sub and my boyfriend ordered the chicken Parmesan sub. I believe both were roughly $10 (good price). My only complaint was that the meatball were kinda bland along with the sauce and my bread was very cold - would have been much better if they had toasted it. My boyfriend said his chicken parm sub was amazing and it was a really huge portion as well. We'll probably stop in again and try something else like a burger. read more

We are locals, and decided to try it out. Jason was our server; he was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the Reuben and Red Mountain Grilled Cheese. Both were really tasty - bread was perfectly toasted, and the sauces and meats were en pointe. The house made potato salad was awesome. I'd recommend sticking to beer until they get their mixed drinks sorted out, but they have a well-curated set of taps. No dessert, but there are plenty of other spots around town for ice cream! I read the reviews, looked at the food pics, but unfortunately the taste buds didn't react to the food the way my imagination reacted to the pics. It just wasn't good. Got hamburgers and fries. They were sour tasting as if they were coated or soaked in vinegar. The coating on the fries was pure salt. You couldn't taste the spices for all the sodium. Spices taste good... salt can enhance taste but only to a point then it overrides it and that's what you get with the fries we were served. The whole Covid-19 pandemic was happening so didn't want to risk the crowds in Manitou and got carry out so we didn't get drinks. I think that perhaps the other good reviews were based on drinks rather than the food-- or at the very least drinks influenced the good ratings. I spoke to a local who told us that the drinks in Manitou were great, but go somewhere else for food. They were, unfortunately, right. read more
