Well well well, where has this been hiding? Oh, Duluth, GA. An odd shopping center with not a lot of great atmosphere, but this little unassuming gem- the food!! Service great & nice smiles!!! A smaller restaurant, but cozy. Great great food & a lot of options for any flavor palette at your table. Nothing was bad!!! Parking at the restaurant or at the strip mall spaces. Easy easy!! I normally take pics of food, but too many in my group & didn't want to interfere with conversations. I recommend!!!! https://armandosmexicantown.com/

Great food, great service, great atmosphere and great prices. I'm guessing everything on the minu is great. Good place for adults and families with children. I'm hard to please and usually am writing warning for reviews. I highly recommend trying Armando's. The Sangria Margarito lived up to its claim. We had a variety of dishes and they all pleased. Even the three year old was happy. She got defensive when her Ice cream arrived.

I'd been craving authentic Mexican food for weeks, and then we stumbled upon Armando's Caribe. A hidden gem in the Duluth area. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Pretty cool atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. Look forward to visiting again to try different dishes. Everything was favorable and delicious..

There are plenty of parking spaces outside, internal decor is nice with taste. The service was quick and courteous. I decided to have a glass of HomeMade Sangria to treat myself, which was very refreshing with almost no alcohol taste. The we ordered two Authentic Spanish Paellas: Paella de Mariscos and Paella Valenciana, and one Cuban Grills: Picadillo a la Cubana. I liked my Paella Valenciana better, although it tasted like paellas shared cooked rice with same ingredients, the difference was Paella de Mariscos had salmon, scallops and mussels, Paella Valenciana had baked chicken thighs and sausages. They all were very delicious and authentic, since I had them in Madrid and Barcelona. The only thing that puzzled me was that there was little or none flavor of saffron which should be kay ingredient in paellas.

Food was so good! One of my favorite restaurants, good is always on point, so delicious, the service was on point. Ambiance is always cool. If you're looking for great Latin restaurant, this is one of the best I have to say with great service, and very affordable. Definitely have to check it out.

My favorite was the lobster tacos. Really good and something I haven't seen before. The ceviche was pretty good too. Service was decent, it was busy when we were there. Definitely loved the skinny margaritas.

Met up with some friends at Armando's for the first time. There was 20 mins wait but they decided to put some tables together in the bar area for us and were sat immediately. Armandos has a mixture of Cuban and Mexican food along with a full bar. We gathered there for national margarita day and it was a great decision.Their margaritas are muy delicioso ! The price point is a little higher than some places but they were worth it! They have many choices of margs, beers, and other cocktails. Our waitresses name was Clara and she did a great job keeping up with the 6 of us. They do serve you chips and salsa when you first sit down. You have to be careful though because their salsa is very addictive. I'm a huge fan of salsa and I will say theirs is now one of my favs. Their menu has many options so we all ordered different things. I was in between on what I should order so I asked our waitress her personal opinion which led me to the steak quesadilla. The quesadilla was a great choice. I loved the way they seasoned the steak and it was served with black beans and rice. We got there around 6ish on a Saturday and left around 9. They got pretty busy around 7:30 up until we left. I appreciated that we didn't feel rushed out the restaurant since they got so busy. We all really truly enjoyed our food and the whole experience at Armandos. We are looking forward to meeting their again.

I've been coming here for years and just realized I have never left them a review! This place is a favorite among locals for many years. If you're looking for a Caribbean Cuban food this is a great place to check out the next time you are in Duluth. We've had everything from arroz con pollo, paella, chicken enchiladas, salmon burritos, tacos, soup, Cuban sandwiches, and the list goes on. Flavors are great, the food quality is consistent the service is spot on. I recommend ordering the sangria margarita which is not on the menu. The only downside is the salsa which is really cold, I like mine a bit more room temperature but the rest of the food is really good.

The service was excellent. The food was good. I really enjoyed the Traditional Cubano sandwich but found the salmon in the Paella de Marisco a little too fishy. It kind of overwhelmed the rest of the dish. Having said that, the mussels, calamari, scallops, and shrimp was perfectly cooked. The chips and salsa are also very delicious. I'll definitely return and try another dish.

Let's start with the COVID-19 measures that Armando's has in place. Armando's staff all wear masks and gloves, make sure that customers don't sit directly next to each other, and clean and disinfect tables and chairs after each customer. I really like the menu idea... They stopped printing their menus, in lieu of a laminated and taped down QR code. The QR code allows your phone to scan the QR and pull up their menu in the web page. The only problem with their COVID-19 measures is that they left the Salt, pepper, and sauce is on the table. Most places are taking those to the back and storing them unless customers specifically ask for them. Plus, they are keeping low amounts of salt and pepper in the shakers so that they don't waste salt and pepper- etc. Hi, being me, don't actually mind this, but some people do. So, I figured I would mention it here. Next, let's talk about the salsa and chips! The salsa is very mild, but flavorful. They add cilantro to their salsa which gives it that nice, fresh pep! However, they do not add too much cilantro. So, if it's not your favorite, it probably won't bother you here. I feel like they had just the right amount to accent the salsa. My dad said that the chicken consommé soup was basically "Mexican-flavored chicken soup", but that would be ridiculous! Only cannibals would add Mexicans to their soup! Seriously, though, he said the soup was just "so-so" and "nothing to write home about". As I was looking at the menu I found their empanadas and ordered 1 beef and 1 chicken. They come with the delicious, cilantro-Mayo sauce that so many Cuban places serve. The chicken was pretty good, but the beef was fantastic. The beef was so tender, that it kind of melted in my mouth as I ate it. Both paired very well with the sauce. My dad really liked the sauce as well! Comparatively, their beef empanada was better than the beef empanadas that I've had at some other Cuban-only places. Finally, my steak sandwich was just OK. Most of what was on the sandwich were sautéed peppers and onions. I'm not sure why I didn't come with much steak, but the steak in the sandwich was actually quite delicious once I found some. Outside of the lunch special, I probably wouldn't order that sandwich... Most of their sandwiches are priced at $12-$13. I would definitely be upset if I paid $12-$13 for the sandwich that I got. Overall, Armando's is OK but not fantastic. I think they excel at some things like the beef empanada and knowing when enough is enough with cilantro, but they need to work on some of their dishes. I'll probably give them another shot, but the reason we went today was because my dad wanted to eat there and he hadn't been there in about five years. At least you know they're sticking around!

Great menu and price is reasonable, but the Paella I ordered was bland. Food presentation looks good but flavor is unsatisfactory.

I was craving for something different, and I found this place through Yelp. Decided to give it a try, and oh boy! I'm glad I did it . My daughter and I, loved everything we ordered. I love paellas, I even have tried it in Spain . Theirs wasn't a disappointment.!!! Truly yummy And their Cuban sandwich was excellent! Didn't taste or smelled pork. Definitely recommend this place for anyone craving something different and tasty

Ordering is simple; you can order at the counter or use one of the kiosks. Once your food is ready, they bring it directly to your table. I also appreciated the self-serve stations for sauces, water, utensils, and to-go boxes. I'm usually not the biggest fan of Cuban cuisine, but was in the area and decided to give it a try anyway. I was pleasantly surprised. Everything I ordered was better than expected. I went with the Combination Sampler, which is great if you want a little taste of everything. It came with a chicken empanada, papa rellena, fried yuca, ham croquettes, sweet plantains, and tostones. Overall, everything was prepared nicely. The only item I wasn't crazy about was the chicken empanada, which tasted a little plain and dry on its own. However, once paired with the sauces, it was much better. Speaking of sauces, they offer plenty of options at the sauce station. My favorite was the creamy cilantro sauce, which paired well with almost everything. They also had ketchup and mayo; perfect for dipping the crispy yuca fries. Along with a spicy sauce that definitely brought the heat. My go-to Cuban dish is usually a Cuban sandwich, but I didn't get a chance to try theirs this visit. Based on the rest of the meal, though, I'd definitely come back for it next time.
