    Molcajete Dip and Grande Guacamole
    Sandy M.

I don't normally go out to eat because I know I can make it better and cheaper than most restaurants, except for El Molcajete Cantina, I absolutely love this restaurant. The servers are always so welcoming and friendly, which is a plus nowadays but the food is epic. From the Molcajete cheese dip with shrimp, steak and chicken to the chunky guacamole, it's perfection. I usually have no room left for an entree but always bring home an order of the Tacos El Carbon, it's my favorite. They also have the best little outdoor patio the is quiet, secluded and my favorite place to hang out while enjoying some delicious food and yummy Texas Margaritas!!

Milly is such an amazing server. She was so attentive and friendly! This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the area. Good food and great drinks.

We haven't been back here in a long time. The quality has really gone down. We were not pleased with any of the food. Nothing special. Only thing good was the service.

This spot has some pretty good Mexican food and for the price you get a ton of food!! I went with the chicken chimichanga which was served with rice and beans along with a guacamole salad which was quite refreshing to balance the heaviness of the dish. They give a good amount of chicken in the dish and overall it was so filling I almost skipped dinner. My brother got the pollo fundido and really liked his dish as well. I also ordered a spinach enchilada and quesadilla and a chicken enchilada which served as a great lunch meal the next day. As an added bonus, they also included chips and salsa in a bag and their chips were really good! If you're craving Mexican food and want the most for your money, I definitely recommend this place!

Very good food and especially enjoy the daily specials during the week, especially on Monday with the fajita special

We've been going there since the beginning when it was called something diff before. I used to live around the corner and try to support the local businesses around. This was our to go place whenever I didn't want to cook after work lol. All the regular employees are gone now, they were always so friendly and always made me smile. We were there last night and seated quickly. Got our chips and salsa and said we needed a couple of minutes to look over the menu we have to scan off the table to see online. We tried to get the server's attention but she never came back to take our order. After 30 minutes of wait my husband went to go talk to the owner and we left. Sadly we won't be returning.

California burrito with chicken, shrimp ,steak, rice and beans. WOW!

The location, awesome reviews, and photos made it a no-brainer. My lunch companion and I decided to share the queso fundito and shrimp empanadas and both were great. The queso fundito came with roasted corn and a garlic toast while the shrimp empanadas were plated on top of a bed of salad. The empanadas were a nice size and I would totally order these just for myself for lunch. I added a shrimp tempura taco to round out my meal. It was juicy, a bit spicy because of the jalapeno mayo, and overall a nice way to end my meal. I'll wrap this up by congratulating them on landing a spot on Yelp's Best New Restaurants list for 2025. Only 100 businesses in the ENTIRE country get on the list - so this is huge. Based on my experience, well deserved. Definitely give them a visit soon!

The cauliflower appetizer was a hit with everyone and the portion was huge. I personally would have preferred it to be cooked a little less, as it was quite soft. The patatas bravas were decent. The tres leches cake was excellent and came as a generous slice. The milk was served on the side, which we poured over the cake. We shared it among six people, and it was just enough to satisfy our sweet tooth. Our server was very friendly, and the restaurant itself is really cute. Around 7pm on Saturday evening, just as we were leaving, a man and woman started performing live music with vocals and guitar. We were on our way to the Lou Sobh Amphitheater (just a quick walk over) to see a cover band, which made for a fun night out. This whole area in Cumming is a great place to hang out.

Not to the point anyone waited a long time for a correction and with a party as large as ours I think they did a great job. The food was good. We were served three appetizers [chopped salad, bourbon glazed brussels, seafood fondue] family style. I don't eat pork so I loved that the bacon was on the side for the brussels, which were delicious, and the chopped salad was equally as good. I don't eat shellfish either so I didn't try the fondue, but everyone around me who did, enjoyed it. The entree I had at the restaurant was the pan seared chicken which was pretty good although it could have used a pinch of salt and a squeeze of lemon. I also had the cacio e pepe to go and it may have been my favorite thing I've had thus far from here. I did not order any beverages other than water, but next time I think I'll try a cocktail as they looked tasty. I live an hour plus away from this location so I probably won't be returning soon, but if in the area again I would definitely eat here again.

It was kind of a lot, but that's also due to the menu, which took me awhile to decide on what to eat. Our server was attentive and helpful. We had questions, and he answered to the best of his abilities. He also brought out chips and sauces while we were looking through the menu and described each sauce. We liked the jalapeno and garlic ones the most! The arepa tour was a nice way to try different flavors without having to commit to one choice. The arepas tasted good, though I definitely preferred some over others. If you are not a savory and sweet enjoyer, I would not recommend Pabellon as you can taste the fried plantain in each bite. I liked it, but my friend found it an odd combination. I wasn't the biggest fan of shredded chicken, but that's bc it's typically dry, and while this wasn't super dry, it wasn't exactly as flavorful as the other options. For the main course, the asado negro sounded right up my alley as the arepa version went into detail with how the beef is braised in red wine and sugar cane. It left much to be desired when I ordered the big plate non-arepa version. Just off looks, it wasn't as visually appealing as others' dishes were. Eating it... well, the meat was very, very dry. The sauce was fine, but it didn't help with the dryness of the meat. I most likely ordered wrong since everything else was great. I got quesillo for dessert, which was described as flan, and I found it pretty good. Thicker than I'm used to and not as smooth but with a lovely cinnamon flavor.

Grade System Start: A++ 1. The hostess Zarjana, promptly guided us to our seats. 2. Once seated, Zarjana, began by welcoming us to a 5 Star experience. For me, that was "WOW" prepare to be amazed. I've been blessed to have traveled the country for 22 years while serving in the U.S. Army, and have experienced a variety of different cultures of foods and hospitalizes. Now, I'm meeting new friends, about to experience my first 5 star dining and the setting was wonderful. 3. After three failed attempts to take the orders of 3 senior women of color dressed similarly, all wearing glasses on their noses, trying to read a scanned menu on phones that work randomly, you as a server should be calling Tyrone's Auntie "Patience." But, bless her heart, she continued and began to, emphasized several times and I mean SEVERAL times to my friend who was eying the Lollipop Lamb chops, "Portion Size", which for me meant, "Ok, once you get your "Lollipop Lamb chops don't say I didn't warn you ahead of time when you can't find your spoonful of mashed potatoes. But anyway because the establishment was empty, we watched her and her peers rearrange the light fixtures over the bar, mingle with one another and never once did she come check in see if we needed anything. WHAT DOES FIVE STAR FOOD LOOK LIKE : Hidden potatoes as warned so no surprise. You just need the proper utensils for your meal.
