We stopped at the Highland Park store once after having dinner in that area, but we found it small and it didn't have any items we liked (at the time). Finding another Wasteland in Studio City was a pleasant surprise. It's not as big as the one in Hollywood, but it seemed to have a better mix of luxury, vintage and affordable premium brands. The store is super-clean and organized. Like the Hollywood store, each item is well-curated and reasonably priced. I found a cute top from the 70's for the daughter in amazing condition. Checkout was quick and easy. The security guard in front was very friendly. Lots of parking options. We'll be visiting often since a few of our favorite places to dine are nearby.

At one point a woman unknowingly jabbed me a couple times with hangers as we were looking at opposite racks. Check out has always been friendly. I've also sold and consigned a few items at this location. Understanding what they are currently buying and only bringing a few (5-10) select pieces has made the process very easy. I always take my sales in trade which has paid for many items for the husband and daughter. :)

I've always been uncomfortable at Macy's and Bloomingdales, etc, and wanted a suit that was more unique for my wedding. After reading the reviews, I had a good feeling about Armani Wells. Private fitting by appointment. Claudia Wells booked my online appointment in a professional and friendly manner. Her shop is small, but you can instantly see everything is quality. Claudia chatted with my fiancee and me for a few minutes and started pulling jackets. I was surprised that she "sized me up" perfectly - I have been difficult to fit in the past. The third jacket started speaking to us all and Claudia had me try on the pants. To my surprise, they were a perfect fit (this never happens to me). A stylish shirt, and fantastic silverish tie, finished off with gorgeous Magnanni shoes. Claudia was amazingly spot-on in her choices - both my fiancee and I loved the look, the fabric - chic without being crazy, conservative but with a little flair. When we were finishing up she also showed me that the suit had a uniquely Los Angeles provenance (I've never used that word with clothing). The suit had belonged to a much loved Los Angeles media member that we faithfully watched on television. I want to keep the name private for now - it was a little overwhelming and emotional. And truly made the whole experience more special than it already was. I will definitely be back. If you are confused about what to wear, guys - Claudia will tell you! And she will be correct! Shopping here is fun. The setting is intimate and you can play around with different looks and outfits at your leisure. The owner, Claudia Wells, has already weeded out anything that lacks class, style, and quality, she buys her stock with a vision of men looking their best. Claudia is a lovely human being and people feel comfortable with her right away, even though clothes shopping can be a very personal, even sensitive experience, depending on one's pride, insecurity, or vanity. Claudia is a clothing coach, if you will, her experienced eye helping, but not pushing, to create the ultimate image each of us wants to achieve. I bought a matching blue sweater and sport coat here, and did not realize fully until I got home and compared them to other clothes, just how well crafted was the cut and class of the garment. This is not a cheap store because the clothing is superior, but it is nonetheless bargain pricing because you can't look like this without otherwise shopping at very pricey clothiers. I felt so good all day!!!! The difference of wearing a suit vs. a very fine italian suit is amazing. I was so happy to pick up a Ermenegildo Zegna suit in flawless condition for such a killer price, wow! Armani Wells is a men's clothing boutique unlike any other. Guys, if you want to get great clothes at a MASSIVE savings, this is the place. I have been there several times and always I leave with a smile on my face! Claudia is my girl. She is always patient with me. Has a great sense of style. Always has unique pieces that you just can't find. Her prices are fair for high end designer pieces. Although they didn't have the suit I was looking for, which was a red suit(very rare find), they were very friendly and made me laugh. We were all over LA looking for one and we found this one in Orange County drove down here not knowing what to expect, well was, I surprised to find not only this shop but many others in this area, but this one was beautifully done. The sales people were lovely, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We didn't find the prom dress, but we did find a great store and we will come back again.

I came here on Wednesday 5/27 and was excited to show this place to another vintage loving friend. We were having a good time selecting pieces and shopping around. I had brought a blouse up to the counter that I noticed was priced as a 2 piece set , but there was no second piece attached to the hanger. I asked the woman at the counter if they knew where it was as I would've gladly preferred the set. She went over to ask the owner and when she came back she said they couldn't sell it until they located the second piece as it was a set. (It was priced as $88) which would've been too high to purchase as a single item anyway. Then she said something that we found completely appalling "unless we don't find the missing piece , you can purchase the top alone for $100) excuse me?? How does that make sense-- it's missing the pantsuit so you want to overcharge me? When we asked how they thought that was fair , she responded with "well it's a really RARE item" and we said it WAS RARE now how do you manage to mark up the price when it's missing the set ?? We both LAUGHED and She said "I'm sorry you feel that way" the audacity of them having a sign outside their shop that reads about supporting community when they demonstrate bad business practices such as this. We thought about putting all of our items back because we thought that was ludicrous on their part. But , we did spend so much time there .. in the end my friend put back a couple items she had planned on purchasing because she was so shocked that they thought that would fly with us ... Just calling something "RARE" does not excuse marking something up on the spot especially after the fact it's actually worth less now that we know it's actually missing a piece. Smh. Because of this we both won't be returning. There are plenty of beautifully curated vintage shops elsewhere who don't have bad business practice. Let me suggest a few other places for you to check out : Jet Rag, space city Vintage, American Vintage, Starday, Avalon Vintage, Sneaky Tiki just to name a few! :)

Where do I start? Visited there on Friday totally by accident. Walked by and a friend said "her…read moreclothes are amazing!" I looked at gorgeous fabric & clothes and I thought - very cool but won't work for my lawyer job & age. Well 4 hours later - I felt like I had my own professional stylist who understands women's bodies like no one but a seamstress would (who's been sewing her own clothes since age 8). The jackets are the bomb. Wow! I will post pic. This is not some celebrity place where you walk out feeling less than (I've never seen someone more empowering for women). I'm 5'10" & average/slim weight. She makes stuff for XL, XXL. I walked in wearing an Italian Piazza Sempione pantsuit looking like a "suit" ... & she found great stuff that made me look & feel like "Sexy Suzie" while classy & awesome fabrics from Italy. All made here in L.A.! Owner Ann was a Teamster and she's a good egg. Also I went with a new friend who I'm working on some political things with so we were on fire, talking nonstop & I'm surprised Ann's ears didn't bleed. But Ann was so cool & nice. Prices amazing. My husband LOVED the clothes. My teen boys loved them & they'd tell me the truth. So thanks Ann. 1st time shopper -- but I'll be longtime customer. What a gem!!

This store has a unique blend of merch that appeals so well to the taste of many folks in this…read moreluxurious mountain community. It's bespoke garments and other one of a kind, hand made items are beautiful conversation pieces that expresses both comfort, glamour and vintage vibes. My husband and I were absolutely devastated when we heard the news that Lauri Carleton was murdered simply because she hung a Pride flag outside of her store; I liked to jump to touch it when we would shop here or at the nearby hardware store. We went to pay our respects and the store had a large bucket of small Pride flags out front for anyone to take, which we did. We placed one in a prominent place at the entrance to our garden, and the other at the rose bush that we dedicated to Laurie which is named "Love and Peace". It is important to support small businesses everywhere, and to all visitors I encourage you to please visit Mag Pi and enjoy the essence of our mountain community. Lauri's legacy will live on in our hearts.

I arrived to take my aunt shopping. Unfortunately for us the minute I parked my vehicle a female…read morewalked out of the Mag.pi shouting at me "may I help you?" I replied "no, and I guess you think you own the parking lot?" She just looked at me as I barely had one leg out, removing my keys from the ignition and walking around the other side to open the door for my aunt. So my aunt and I decided to not go in to shop since she was so aggressively rude. Her business is to help us once we get in the store. So on purpose I stalled pretending to do other things. Then we noticed she had signs taped to wooden chairs with long paragraphs. I read "don't pretend to park here while on your phone" etc. Just so everyone knows in order for a commercial business to have a vehicle towed away it must be parked there for one (1) hour. So the hood of the car should be cold. When renting commercial space you cannot dictate which parking spaces are allowed to be used for your business unless it's a residential complex and tenants are assigned parking spaces. So to Parking Lot Betty, please take those signs down and calm down my dear. My aunt was here visiting from San Francisco and we were shopping for a wedding. So with your rude and very aggressive attitude you lost a potential customer.
