    Selling adventure

Only have had great experiences here . Selling or shopping !! You'll find unique one of a kind items! As far as selling as you really need to be in tuned with what you think they will actually take. Don't just bring your entire closest and think you'll get big bucks, be smart with the things you bring.

I'm across the street having a delicious pizza at Medici's looking at

We all are thrilled that Buffalo exchange has been here and has always thrived in the neighborhood. First of all the staff is just adorable. The merchandise is really great. Their buyers really know what they're doing and the prices are just right.

I am here to try and sell clothes to get some $ or store credit. The workers are friendly and keep the store organized and it's easy to access the clothes, shoes, bags, accessories. There's a men's and women's section, clothes are organized by size and there's some fun finds! I love all of the funky bags, the styles that recirculate and come back in to fashion, great way to up cycle! Lots of vintage and older stuff, and newer things with tags like Kate spade bags, coach bags and shoes. Things are well priced and generally in good shape, I found a pair of Steve Madden tennis ones with tags on them for $15 There's parking in the back and it's located on Ventura Blvd! Come in and find your new gem, I'm always surprised with the amazing finds here! Higher quality than some of their other locations.

I got an ad on Instagram about the thrift store where they will buy your clothes from you and either give you cash or store credit. So I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did! I brought quite a few clothing items in and they didn't buy them all off me, they go based on what's in style which makes sense. They did choose 4 of my items and priced them right there then offered me cash (25% of what they listed the clothes for) or store credit (50% of what they listed my clothes for). I went with cash and honestly it was so quick and easy, the staff were friendly and explained why they aren't taking all of my clothes. I will be returning whenever I want to purge my closet again.

They've changed management in the past 1-2 years or so, but the store's been looking even better than before! The team has always been somewhat easy, though, to get whenever I needed something, whether it be high-up, on a mannequin, or behind the counter. Ava and Paulina are the ABSOLUTE nicest and always have the BEST fashion advice (and they will be honest and not just say it looks good because they work there!) Their customer service is amazing and so many of them go above and beyond to help clientele. 2nd Street has raised their prices by just a bit in the past couple of years as well, but I feel like that's fair compared to other stores and businesses right now. If you are a SELLER, I think it's important to go in with no expectations. I'd typically recommend more of what you would give to Goodwill and all of those random bags of clothes that have been sitting in your garage vs. the fur coat that your great-grandmother gave you that you cherish and are thinking about selling. I would ALSO recommend looking up the payout sheet IF you are mainly focused on making MONEY from your pieces. Otherwise, drop-off and pickup are pretty easy and they're typically decently fast on their turn-around times. The store is organized based on Men's and Women's, and then most of the aisles are sectioned by type of garment, ex. tank tops, short sleeves, dresses, jeans (with the exception of a couple themed sections like Y2K or Designer.) Overall, though, they have such a good collection and assortment of pieces for adults including more affordable options and fun designer finds. I'm excited to go back!

In situation of theft staff can engage verbally but should not pursue. Noting shoplifters and pulling them up on security cameras to prevent them from returning it's the safest way to keep everyone safe, customers and all staff included. You never know what someone is capable of or going through. It's pretty sad, but I think they handled everything exceptionally well. I pop in for time to time for misc items. A couple months ago I popped in for props for an indie feature I worked on including some nice lamps and men's clothes. More recently I shopped for a friend and also a little for myself finding two great long sleeve shirts, a cool board game and a Dia De Los Muertos ceramic art piece I'm mailing to my friends up in the bay area for their space. Everything is clean, layed out and the staff on the floor are always polite and diligent with replenishing empty spaces. I was impressive with the new inventory also. Parking is an adventure here for sure. I can't remember the last time I drove here, mostly because I enjoy walking and riding the local metro busses. Spaces are limited and when cars are coming in and out, everything is only one way so it gets congested during peak hours. Highly recommend metered street or paid lot parking, though you can luck into things on the back streets, like Dickens, if you don't mind a little stroll. For the donation center you can request a pickup if you meet the minimum or drop off, check the online list to see what's accepted (mainly for household items, miscellaneous items and furniture. As I speak now my husband is cooking some great stir fry in the wok I bought today. This is the 2nd encounter I had with this rep where he was unprofessional and rude to me. The first time a few months ago he broke a tea cup I selected in the manner he handled it while scanning it. He refused me a refund and no apology. I just let it go with the understanding he could have had a bad day as I myself am a first responder RN and trust me I know what bad days are like. But todays 2nd encounter got me emotionally upset which forced me to have to write this message to you. Today March 14th I entered around 2:30 PM and selected a few items. Once it was my turn in line the same gentleman started to scan my items. Once my transaction was complete I realized an item was charged twice. I also declined the charity round up as I feel my public service contributes enough, it is nothing personal. He then still applied it and rudely called me out for not agreeing to it and then went on a tantrum accusing me of always being a problem for him. This was only my 2nd encounter with him. He then publicly embarrassed me in front of the whole store, loud and obnoxious. It brought all attention to me and I felt uncomfortable, embarrassed and harassed. Still no apology from this gentleman and the manager who assisted him. I not only want to speak up for myself but others who may not be as observant as me. This location used to be my favorite.

I have two 50 lb, very active dogs, so they need to be fed well. I honestly cannot say enough nice things about Karim. She actively followed up with me since I had to reschedule a few times, and she put a lot of thought into the items she donated. Just a tremendous amount of compassion. While I was there another woman came in and she recently rescued a kitten. We talked a little and she spoke so highly of her experience with this business and the wonderful staff. Great customer service is very high on the list for me. The prices are CRAZY high for a thrift store. I understand they operate trucks and a brick and mortar building but for them to be charging nearly retail prices for used clothes and items they got AT NO COST is just insane. Parking is usually packed and you may end up parking on the streets of the local neighborhood. However if you have donations I'd drop them off at the door THEN find parking. There are often 3-5 tag colors for sale. However most of the items you select will conveniently be a label color off sale. The workers must have paper cuts from as often as they change the tag colors. Come expecting to spend at least an hour if you're on the hunt for something specific. They often have a good variety of purses and shoes. I mainly purchase small home decor items, workout clothes and furniture. I found a gigantic lightweight canvas in the art section that I just love. And I'm constantly checking the vinyl section for gems, all of which are typically $3 or less each. Take a second to view the jewelry counter, you may find some nice earrings behind the glass or costume jewelry hanging up. All the "good stuff" is located behind the counter. That includes items like video game consoles, "luxury" bags, sealed items, cameras and lenses, smaller electronics, instruments, etc. Apparently they're open on Sundays now which is new and still pretty calm since I don't think many people know about it. A lot of the workers are mainly Spanish speaking so do not be offended if they don't answer you right away, they will quickly locate someone bilingual to help. If you can take your time you'll find some good stuff, however with the rising prices the deals are better some days than others. I would give them 3 stars but the prices lately are just brutal.
