Small mounted staghorn ferns, $29.99 each
Evelyn K.

I particularly enjoy this Armstrong location for the landscaping and pathway they've done surrounding the property. While Armstrong associates do typically plant features, this one perhaps showcases skill better than others. Both entrances are a bit willy-nilly and not the easiest to get into as they are off of major streets, but once you're in there's ample parking. For the important part: the plant selection is quite expansive as this is one of larger stores. They even carry small staghorn ferns, which are a more unusual sighting. Keep an eye out as they sometimes run deals on certain items, like bonsai fertilizer for example. I have purchased an olive tree topiary (a fruiting variety called olea Europa) from this store along with garden dust to deal with an annoying outbreak of fungus gnats on my miniature African violets. If you ask, the associates are happy to share their plant/treatment recommendations with you and offer your pup a small t-r-e-a-t!

Although I usually prefer to support local plant stores, Armstrong Garden Center is my one exception. This place is a one-stop shop for all your plant-related needs. Whether you're looking for indoor or outdoor plants, they've got you covered with an endless selection. Their range of rare and seasonal plants is impressive, making it easy to find something unique for your home or garden. Beyond plants, they host a variety of pots, accessories, and even one-of-a-kind trinkets that make great gifts. The staff is always ready to offer expert advice. It's very clear they have a solid background in plants. I absolutely love how they organize their plants by lighting needs. This makes it so much easier to find the perfect plant for your home.

We keep our tree outside on a covered deck.

We bought our Christmas tree from the Armstrong Garden Center again this year. We brought the tree home a week before Thanksgiving and it is still going strong. Still drinking water and very little needle drop. Their trees are delivered in refrigerated trucks and stood up in water basins after a fresh cut. No need to cut again except... the nailed-on stands sometimes leak. We took a Sawzall to the last couple of inches and cut the stand off, nails and all. We suggest that you use your own stand. Despite this minor inconvenience, we wouldn't buy our trees anywhere else. I recommend that you buy your tree before Thanksgiving and stand it up in water in shade in your back yard or patio, until you are ready to bring it in and decorate. Disclaimer- I am a retired Armstrong associate.

pot and plant from store! This is an easy, low maintenance plant!!

Good selection of plants and source for color changes. The flower stock changes frequently and staff is helpful and very cheery.

Rogers Gardens, literally have everything you would need for Home and garden…read more We have been here numerous times and each time we come back, surprised, and in all of all of the gorgeous blooms gifts selections. We came for the lavender event. However, we stayed three hours shopped for gifts cards, the finest chocolates, and even found some wild blueberry jam. All of this walking around, looking at the numerous selection of roses they offer as well as lavenders. We had to stop into the farmhouse for lunch. This is the most amazing garden in Orange County's We always cherish our time here, winter spring, summer or fall .

We went Mother's Day weekend and the parking was horrible. Save yourself the headache and just valet your car. We walked in by their restaurant. They have carts available for you to use. The roses were hella expensive; $100 and more for a medium sized pot. They do offer a wide range of fruits and vegetables reasonably priced (~$8) and a variety of different types of flowers were scattered throughout the garden from small to large pots (~$10 - $40's) The garden was designed nicely with small shops offering decor and gardening tools/pot. They were way overpriced imo. Overall it was fun to walk around and see the different variety of plants and flowers. I would rather go to Lowe's/Home Depot or home goods for pots and decor though.

Found many good and interesting plants and trees here…read more Bought a plant the called a Mickey Mouse plant! It is called that because of the shape of the 3 "berries" where they form a V shape and will turn black forming the ears and nose (Not edible) I think it is a plant from Vietnam. It is a hardy easy to grow that I have had over 3 years or more. Looking forward to going back to see what they have!

Got a bit of an ick from this Santa Ana nursery…read more My best friend and I are really into gardening and we stopped by Emily Garden Nursery to expand our collection. Emily's has a large collection of very healthy looking fruit bearing plants. I fell in love with the mango and peach trees. The issue is that very few plants were labeled. They had hundreds of options, so it was like a guessing game to figure out what we were looking at. There was also no pricing listed for the plants available. While I could look past the lack of labels, I was pretty underwhelmed by the customer service at this nursery. The two women onsite wanted nothing to do with us. They never approached us throughout our search, seemed irritated by our price inquiries, and even refused to make a card purchase for a smaller item - after telling us they accept both cash and card. I left a little irked, but luckily there are so many beautiful outdoor plant stores nearby. Wouldn't recommend visiting unless you're a plant expert that can decipher 300+ species of fruit trees with no labels.
