Receipt for medium tea with honey and a big coffee cake

Got a Raspberry Tea with honey and a Coffee Cake to go. $11.04. The young gentleman that assisted me and my husband was super sweet. He was quick and helpful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Bar is clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is well dressed and welcoming. So many items to choose from. Teas, coffee, desserts, water, energy drinks and more.

We were looking for some good coffee nearby and Aroma popped up. It's inside the Ahern Hotel on the 2nd floor. The signs do lead you to it fairly well. They have a little seating area and they offer teas, coffees, smoothies & some other beverages along with delicious pastries & sandwiches. We tried the raspberry croissant (just the right amount of sweet and soft) and the beef empanada. They warm it up for you and both of them are scrumptious. The empanada had good amount of meat in there and it tasted really good. We had the vietnamese coffee and the caramel cold brew. Both were delicious but the caramel brew was a bit too sweet for me. I definitely recommend this spot for the drinks & food items. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is very clean, service is efficient and friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Restrooms are nearby. I would come back to this spot.

Oh my gosh, this place is a hidden gem! It is located in the Ahern hotel. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's quiet and has lots of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was really nice and gave a great recommendation! The matcha latte was okay but I never expect too much from coffee shops. Their pastries are amazing though. The employee recommended the coffee cake and oh my goodness was it DELICIOUS. I'm going back just for that coffee cake!

Stayed at the hotel for three days and ordered from here at least four times. Open 6am-8pm. The guava smoothie is really good! As well as the caramel craze coffee. We had a lot of different smoothies and coffees, hot and iced. They have pastries and other small bites as well. Very convenient to have on our stay here and the prices were decent.

Looking for a good coffee shop that is near the Sahara Hotel for my wife, I found Aroma Barista Bar in the Ahern Hotel. I got her usual iced latte with oat milk. I saw a banana bread in the showcase and got her one. I got my usual butter croissant. They asked if I wanted the banana bread and croissant warmed up. I asked "Why?" They said the showcase keeps all their pastries at 60 degrees. I knew this wasn't a good sign. I said "Yes" to have my items warmed up. My wife said her iced latte was good. But she placed it in the second tier group. Also, she had a stomach ache afterwards. She asked me what oat milk did they used. I was not sure. As for croissant, it was warmed up and like a balloon, it deflated. Not crunchy, not like a croissant. A bit over buttery dinner roll. DJ's rating: 2.05/5.00 Would I come back? Definitely not.

Sweet Cream Cold Brew and Pistachio Twist

Overall: 4.7/5 (dine in and take out) I rarely go to the same place more than once but this coffee shop in Ahern Hotel & Events Center is a hidden gem! The coffee shop is really quiet & clean, there's plenty of seating, and their prices are great, especially during happy hour from 3-5 PM. I came 6 different times out of the 5 days I stayed at Ahern so I got to befriend barista Mayte who makes perfect coffee every time :) Not only is their coffee delicious, the pastries are also amazing! Chicken BLT Wrap ($8.50): It's a cold wrap that comes with a side of ranch sauce. The wrap was filling and full of chicken strips. It barely had any lettuce and tomatoes though. Also lacking flavor so I had to dip it on the ranch sauce a lot. My least favorite food item I tried here. Short Rib Quiche ($6): I usually do not have a good experience with quiche but this one was phenomenal. The short rib part caught my attention as I never saw this in a quiche before. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this combo worked, and the short rib was tender as well. The custard was so soft and jiggly. I savored each bite and did a little happy dance so I highly recommend this (heated up of course). 16 Oz Green Mountain Smoothie ($6): Not a bad tasting smoothie, just light in flavor. Easy to drink since there's no chunks and it's not icy. However, my mouth did feel a bit strange afterwards like tingly/numb so I'm not sure if I have a slight allergy to something in the smoothie. During happy hour, you get a pastry and coffee combo for only $7 so I was basically here every day :) Both the espresso and cold brew drinks were strong. I usually avoid cold brew since I feel like most places make it watered down but not here. Iced Hazelnut Twist Specialty Coffee: This was good but not my favorite. I thought it was basic in terms of the flavor profile but you can taste all the listed ingredients like honey and cinnamon. Iced White Lavender Specialty Coffee: This is my favorite coffee drink I had here. Super tasty so I couldn't stop sipping it and ended up finishing it in instead of saving half for the next day. Irish Cream Cold Foam: This was the only version of the cold brew section that I tried where the drinks weren't mixed up. I tried the cold brew by itself and it was strong and good! I typically avoid ordering cold brew drinks at coffee shops since I think it's watered down and/or not strong but this one was perfect! The cold foam wasn't too sweet and took a while to mix it in with the cold brew. Sweet Cream Cold Brew: Tasted similar to the Starbucks sweet cream cold brew but stronger. This is also sweeter & creamier than the Irish Cream Cold Foam too. I do not recommend leaving this overnight since the heavy cream hardened into what looks like a white chocolate rim. Carrot Muffin: My favorite pastry that I tried here. The muffin was so moist and tasty. Lots of carrot bits. The frosting went well with the muffin and is the right amount of sweetness. Strawberry Croissant: This was my second favorite pastry. Their croissants are way bigger than any other coffee shops I've seen. This one was an open face version baked with cream filling, sliced strawberries, brown sugar clusters (?), and powdered sugar on top. I was mind-boggled with the first bite. It took a few more bites for me to comprehend all the flavor profiles and how they were working together. Although the carrot muffin was my favorite, this croissant was the most unique. Bear Claw: This wasn't bad and pretty average. The filling's sweetness was too subtle so nothing stood out for this bear claw. Pistachio Twist: This was my least favorite pastry since it barely had any taste. It didn't taste fresh like the other ones either. The twist wasn't as soft even after being heated up. The only thing I liked was that it included crushed pistachios in between the twist.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The aroma barista bar is tucked away in a very cozy part of a boutique hotel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff was very courteous and seating area was very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]We shared a round chocolate almond croissant. We were delightfully, surprised that it was made in layers of Filo dough, almond slices and almond paste. Drizzled with a chocolate style ganache. we tried two different coffees one Café latte and one cappuccino double shot. the coffees weren't bad. They just didn't have enough body and flavor to them. I'm sure it's just a personal preference, but the coffee did not have a rich, bold coffee flavor.

Teach your baristas to put a little more care into explaining the coffees on bar and what's available on pour over. I wanted a single-origin coffee so I asked the barista taking my order. She said the espresso wasn't single origin but said they offer single origin pour overs but told me it would take 10-15 minutes. She then handed me a laminated sheet with all of their offerings and I chose the Mexico but she said that's what was on espresso....? I got confused because she told me there wasn't a single origin on espresso? Anyway.... the paper she handed me stated that a pour over will take 3-5 minutes, yet she told me 10-15 minutes twice. So I called the bluff. The place was empty. I ordered the pour over anyway, sat down, and sure enough, my coffee was ready in about 3-5 minutes. It almost seemed like she didn't want to make the pour over because she recommended an americano. Specialty coffee needs more transparency, more education, and more passion. If you're a coffee roaster, your staff should be excited to talk about the coffees they're serving--not discourage people from ordering them. I sensed laziness. If you see a customer struggling to pick a coffee, recommend something that's fruit forward or something that's more classic. Don't wait for the customer to ask, ask THEM what they like and work off the customer. Care a little bit more. This was my first and last impression. Vesta Coffee will be my go-to.

For a coffee shop breakfast item, the big bang burrito was huge! Filled with eggs, bacon, turkey sausage, tater tots, and cheese. The crema sauce served with it was amazing and had a nice spicy kick. They have multiple tables inside, along with a couch in a smaller lounge corner. I didn't even bother reading reviews beforehand, I just went and honestly I'm so glad I did because this ended up being one of the biggest surprises of the trip. The parking lot itself was pretty quiet, but there was a steady flow of people going in and out which is usually a good sign. Inside there's plenty of seating and it definitely felt like one of those cafes that could easily become a study/work spotor casual hangout place. I was also really impressed by how big their menu was. They had acai bowls, sandwiches, burritos, toast, milk teas, espresso drinks, and even a jasmine mule that immediately caught my attention. Their mint mojito latte sounded really good too, but I ended up deciding to try a couple drinks from the seasonal menu instead. We got the tiramisu matcha latte and the banana foster latte. The employees were super friendly and checked in to see if we needed help deciding, which honestly felt extra appreciated after being in the car for that long. Our drinks came out pretty quickly and the very first thing I noticed was the cream-to-drink ratio. When I say these drinks were loaded with cream top. I mean loaded. My tiramisu matcha was probably like 20% cream and the banana foster looked almost half cream at first glance. The cream itself is super thick too, not one of those light cold foams that disappears after two sips. But honestly? That tiramisu matcha latte might've just blown a lot of the matcha spots I've tried in San Diego out of the water. The matcha itself was bold, earthy, and very matcha forward, but that thick tiramisu cream on top cut through it perfectly. It made the drink taste rich without becoming overwhelmingly heavy. I literally kept thinking about this drink for the rest of the trip. The banana foster latte was good too, but definitely more of what you'd expect flavor wise. Caramel banana vibes, smooth espresso, solid overall, but the tiramisu matcha completely stole the spotlight for me. My only complaint is honestly just how thick the cream tops are. They're so dense that you kind of have to stir everything together. I'm usually someone who likes to sip both the foam and drink together at the same time, but that wasn't really possible here because the cream barely moves. Still delicious though. I genuinely wish I grabbed another drink on the drive back home because I have not stopped thinking about that tiramisu matcha since. Next time I'm back in Vegas, this is absolutely a spot I'm returning to.
