So I have been seeing the latest craze of these head spas all over tiktok abd I decided to give it a go.. I looked in my local area and saw the Lake Forest location had good reviews so I booked an appointment. The day of I received a notice that there was an issue and was asked to reschedule with the Costa Mesa or Laguna locations. I picked Laguna as i thought this location would be posh and luxurious, I was wrong. The place is located on PCH and parking is difficult to get. First impression- The drapes were faded and had water stains. The waiting room smelled odd and the sofa was uncomfortable. The lady took me into a room and asked me to change into a pull over smock. Not sure how many people used it before me. Since I was a new customer I was hoping they would explain everything, but I just laid down and got a facial and hair cleansing. I was not told what they were doing, what products they were using and why. The lady was nice, the procedures were okay, but I'm not sure if it was worth almost $150. I go to alot of spas and I know that setting a tone with nice decorations and environment tends to make your experience nicer. Will I get another hairspa treatment, maybe, but I will definitely do more research. Again this is my personal feelings and experience and could differ from others. Came here for a nice relaxing pre-wedding spa treatment with the bestie! They go over your hair/scalp type to start, then it's a whole massage, scrub, shampoo and conditioner and face mask. After they show you again what you're scalp looks like and it's definitely all exfoliated and clear! Sally was my tech and she was great! Definitely fun for a girls day. Came here for the first time today and booked the private 2 person room. We liked how the beds were side by side and cozy. Lighting was dim and moody and so easy to fall asleep during the session (like I did lol). Kelly and Kathy worked on us. All the staff seemed very friendly and knowledgeable with scalp treatments and after care . Very much appreciated the visual and verbal education on our scalp health before and after our session . Once we got inside the room we were told to undress from waist up and was given a cover up to wear before getting into the bed. Ok now for the best part, she put a heated, weighted sack on my belly , a heated foot covering and a heated eye mask. I instantly melted into the bed ! The scalp and shoulder massage was good . I added the scalp purification treatment for $25 (definitely worth it to remove buildup and promote healthy hair growth). Tried Aroma after seeing it blow up on TikTok. Went on a Saturday and had trouble finding parking, so keep that in mind--it gets very busy (which they do warn you about). The treatment itself left my hair feeling amazing, and I really loved the final result. I have thick curly hair and my curls came out great after treatment. While the massage was relaxing, there were a lot of masks, steam, and treatments on your face--it can feel overwhelming if you're not used to that. They offer a really great package that includes hair assessment, hair treatment, face mask, head massage, and hot stone massage on your face and decolletage. They give these cool slippers with hot pebbles or stones that was really comforting. My mom's hair was dry and had heat damage, but after the treatment it looks rejuvenated and silky. My girlfriend also had a wonderful time and she says that her skin feels softer and plumber and hydrated. They also blow dry your hair with a dyson which is also very nice. 10% off Thanksgiving discount was nice. We suggest you try this place if you want to treat yourself and do something nice for yourself or others. I'll start by saying that the women are very friendly. There were good moments of receiving a great head massage and I liked that she checked on the pressure with me. It was also cool seeing our scalp under a magnifying camera and we liked having a microdermabrasion...but that's about it. My husband and I got the Elite Premium package and we were sorely disappointed. First, there isn't a designated parking area so be prepared to come early if you're coming on a weekend. Second, the towel and fluffy blanket STUNK. I have a keen sense of smell but my husband doesn't, and at the end of our treatment I asked him to smell my robe/towel and he agreed it stank. It smelled like either they don't clean it after every use and there had been a sweaty person using it before me or they left it wet too long before putting it in the dryer. Either way it put a damper to my whole experience. Third, they don't explain the process of what they're doing so every new sensation whether it's going from hot to cold or cold to hot- it will take you by surprise. Lastly, the products are not that great or high end. For $183pp, I'd at least expect some decent products but everything seemed like it came from an Asian mart or TJ Maxx. Between the smell and lackluster products, the whole experience was a bust. read more

Anyway, we were escorted into a private room where we lay on massage tables face up. Next we were rinsed, washed, scrubbed, repeat! While we marinated and conditioned we had simple mini facials. I booked the premium 75-minute service, which I was really looking forward to. Unfortunately, the service felt noticeably shorter--closer to about an hour--so it felt a bit rushed toward the end. My hair also wasn't fully blow-dried when the service was finished and was still damp when I left, which was disappointing given the premium booking. The service description also mentioned a shoulder and neck massage, but that portion lasted maybe a minute at most. I was expecting more focus there, especially since it was supposed to be a 75 minute service. The atmosphere and kindness of the staff were great, but for the level of service booked, I was hoping for a more complete experience and the full advertised time. Not sure what facial product were used on my skin but all they did was a cleanser and a mask so not sure why everyone is so concerned with that. Not sure if the add on for a scalp resurfacing really made a difference, so I wouldn't really recommend it if you're trying to save some money. My only complaint is that I wish they used higher quality products for both face and hair. I noticed they used L'Oréal for the hair mask and possibly the shampoo and Sant Ives for the face massage and possible moisturizer, it was unclear what they used on the face but that's what I noticed on the table.
