I went to Aroma House to have a quiet birthday dinner. We ordered naan, veg biryani, aloo gobi and samosas. I loved the naan which was fluffy and fresh and the veg biryani that was flavorful and full of vegetables. The service was excellent and they even brought out gulab jamuns since it was my friend's birthday. The only suggestions I can offer are to make the interiors more inviting with some art and greenery and play music to improve the vibe. I can't wait to come back!

First time having Nepali food and I was pleasantly surprised. We preferred to try the not common dishes and decided to have the Bhutan Set Combo and Badel Sadeko as our mains. We also had Buff Momo as our appetizer, Garlic Naan as a side and Gazar Halwa as our dessert. The dishes were flavorful and not gamy at all. The goat intestine in the Bhutan set and the wild boar belly in the Badel Sadeko were chewy but that was expected as the meats were fried to a crisp. Overall, it was a good introduction to Himalayan cuisine. Service was very good. Our server took the time explaining each dish, made recommendations and frequently checked on us and bussed our table.

This place is going to be our new go-to for Indian food in Redwood City! After the closure of the Indian place in Roosevelt Plaza, we've been looking for a solid place nearby with a vindaloo (my husband's favorite). We ordered the lamb biryani, goat vindaloo and butter chicken and all were delicious. Our kids scarfed down the butter chicken (which had generous chunks of tandoori chicken breast) and probably ate more than I've seen all week. My husband said the goat vindaloo was really good - different from other ones he's had but definitely to come back for. Service was super fast - I ordered online from their website and got the message it was ready in the 15-20 minutes promised. Location is a shopping plaza in the middle of a residential area in the hills. There looks to be plenty of seating in store, there's a lot of parking in that plaza generally, and it was a cute and clean looking place. It's hidden in the far right of that set of storefronts so don't miss it. Love it - hope they are here for a long time!

This place has to be my new favorite Indian place in the peninsula. Went there with a party of 5 this evening for dining in & my gosh felt in love with it. Came to know the place is now under new management. Been there twice before & it look very medicore but now i see drastic change with the ambience and the lightning. The chandelier with the high ceiling & a dark theme background is such a perfect spot to enjoy with your loved ones. Talking about the food, we orderded different momo & must say the chili one was the best one. The jhol momo also lit. Chicken chili was very falvorful & 65 was crispy which everyone of us liked. One of the newest dish i tried today was the Dynamic Shrimp , which lived upto its name as it was truly dynamic with the rich sayce layerd on top. On the main dishes we got the goat curry, kadhai chicken and butter chicken with some garlic naan and rice. Must say every dish was extremely rich & flavorful. The smell of aromatic spices & balance of bold flavors made all of us wanting to come back for more again. The mango lassi with some hint of cardamom really cooling & refreshing. Overall a great experience and great service. Will be back again soon !

This was my first time here after renovations. The new owner is also a chef who has previous worked at some of the best Indian restaurants in the bay area. We loved everything we tried - chilli chicken, grilled shrimp, paratha, but the show stopped for us were the drinks we ordered!

    Veggie samosas

This place is a legit gem, and I'm honestly confused by some of the mixed reviews. We ate here last night and ordered vegetable samosas, naan bread, aloo gobi, veggie biryani, and the cardamom cream ball dessert. Every single dish was excellent. The biryani was deeply flavorful and perfectly cooked, the aloo gobi was outstanding, and everything arrived hot, fresh, and in very generous portions. No shortcuts, no lukewarm plates, no "almost good" dishes. Just solid, well-executed Indian Nepali food. The service deserves special mention. Five-star, full stop. Warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. It felt less like a transaction and more like being welcomed into someone's home. They checked in, asked what we thought, and even surprised us by not charging for a birthday dessert. That kind of hospitality is rare and it matters. Yes, the interior is currently in transition. It's been freshly painted and feels a bit warehouse-like right now. The staff explained it's temporary, and honestly, once that's finished this will easily be my go-to neighborhood spot. Even as-is, the food and service completely carried the experience. I don't know what's going on with some of the pickup and delivery mix-ups mentioned in other reviews, but dining in was flawless. If they tighten that side of the operation, this place will do very very well. If you care about delicious authentic food, generous portions, and being treated like a human instead of an order number, support this restaurant. We need places like this in the neighborhood, and I'll absolutely be back.

This restaurant is located in a small plaza and kinda tucked in the corner. We were greeted and seated by the owner upon entering the restaurant. They have an extensive menu. We ordered the Chicken Momos, Chicken Tandoori, Garlic Naan, Chicken Sekuwa Set Combo, and a Mango Lassi. Our food came out in a timely manner. The Mango Lassi has the right amount of sweetness to it. The Chicken Momos were just ok. The Chicken Tandoori was served warm on a regular plate with raw onions on top. The chicken was tender and it was kinda spicy. We're used to having nonspicy Chicken Tandoori on a sizzling platter with onions. It would have tasted better if the onions were caramelized. The garlic naan was hot and garlicky, which we really liked. The Chicken Sekuwa Combo was a good value. It came with lentils, chicken, rice, chick peas, and veggies. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The chicken peas with veggies and the lentils were tasty.

    Chicken Biryani

Under new management, and the experience was affordable & legit. We started with their 5pc Paneer Momos & they were boooooming with flavor. These alone can get addictive, especially with their insanely good chutney that made for an excellent starter. Their Gobi Manchurian was probably the best tasting cauliflower dish I've tasted. It was rich, saucy, and paired very well with their Chicken Biryani, which was tender, juicy, & loaded with flavor. On the side, we ordered the Tandoori Roti. White it was a bit oily, its smoky flavor & crispy texture were a perfect pair with the Gobi & Biryani. The music & chandeliers (even while they're completing renovation) create a nice, date night friendly ambiance, and their service was fast, kind, and attentive. Overall, this place was smaccccckin!

Chili Momo (chicken): best ever! I'd only had steamed Momos before. This is one of their specialties. Must try!!!

To say my…read morewife was elated tp see them open up in Redwood City close to her workplace, is an understatement. She has since brought numerous people tp this location. I also love coming here everytime I'm in town and need to finally revisit the original location since their renovation. On our most current visit, everything wasn't flawless like it usually is, but let me tell you why it didn't hinder our night, nor our reason to constantly come back. As creatures of habit, we humans tend to stick to what we know. I know especially at my age, I know what I want, and don't you dare make me change my order, dang nabbit. So, one of our go to dishes everytime we visit, is their roast chicken. This particular night, they didn't have any available, I believe the rotisserie was being serviced. Though we were a bit disappointed, our server Ben, made everything better. He took care of us, not only in conversation, but with a suggestion of trying the cauliflower. Cauliflower instead of chicken, how does that work? Well for us, it did. Never thought I'd sub cauliflower for chicken, but it was more than satisfying. Though we will always get the chicken, we more than likely will have to add the cauliflower along with it. We also ordered the Arugula Fennel Salad, which was light, and the crisp of the apples gives it a nice crunch. A side of chicken kabob to go with the salad. Fried cheese, it was good, especially drizzling the honey on it. Double kebab plate of chicken and filet mignon. Which I devoured. A refreshing raspberry lemonade. Just tart and sweet enough. If you're lucky to get Ben as your server, you won't regret it and if the server suggests a dish, give it a try, it make change things up for the better.

The food took a while to come out but once it did.. we devoured everything. Only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the cauliflower but that's because it ended up being mostly stem. The seasonings on the florets were super tasty. We tried the chicken and kofta kebabs and the chicken shawarma. I loved the kofta - it was super flavorful and the meat was so tender! Will pass on chicken kebab next time, I found it was a little too charred and on the drier side. Chicken shawarma was definitely the better chicken option. Their toum is DELICIOUS and tzatziki is refreshing with the perfect amount of tang. And the portion sizes are just right, we had leftovers for days. Only reason I'm rating as a 4 because of the service - it was on the slow side and we ordered from a QR code and didn't interact with any of the staff beyond "thank you" so felt a bit impersonal for the price point.

The dumplings were juicy, perfectly wrapped, and packed with flavor -- you can tell they're made fresh. The second time was much better. This place is advertised as being dog-friendly, but when we arrived and saw that it was indoor seating only, we got nervous. We were surprised that we were allowed to bring our pooch in with us, though I wasn't thrilled to have her lying on the floor, since it actually seemed dirtier than if she were lying on the ground outside. I think everything inside could use a good, deep clean. We ordered quite a lot, ranging from dumplings to skewers and most things were tasty and done pretty well. The standouts were the pork belly skewers, which had the PERFECT amount of crispy char and fat, and the okra skewers. I would come back just for those skewers alone, though they're extraordinarily pricey for the amount of food you get (so maybe I won't, and I'll just go get k-bbq instead!). Sheng jian bao were good, but I think these are the frozen type. They were identical to the ones that are served at a dumpling restaurant near SF state, which I only just now realized has been rebranded to Brochette as well. They used to be better (at the place in SF) - the dough was thinner and lighter, so whichever frozen brand this restaurant group has changed over to is just... less good. We ordered the green tea cheesecake for dessert and it felt like we were robbed. It was a piece that was about an inch and a half at its widest point and had a Hershey's chocolate sauce drizzle on it. The cheesecake itself was ok, but the chocolate sauce tasted cheap and was unnecessary. It also overpowered the delicate taste of green tea. The size of the piece of cheesecake was criminal for the price. Absolutely would NOT recommend. Our waitress was so very sweet and kind, and we appreciated the excellent service.

Hubbs had the salmon which looked amazing and he enjoyed the mango sauce--the dish just didn't fill him up. Good thing we ordered fresh chips, salsa& guac.--which was very well prepared; the freshest guac I've ever had. It had fresh chopped tomatoes & green chiles all perfectly combined. Our wait person/food server made up for the less than stellar first impression of the host. And the food was flavorful. The ambiance was ruined by the diners across from us and the forgetfulness of taking our orders timely and serving the wine after the appetizer couldn't bring us back from what started out as negative experience. There are many restaurants up & down the bay that we aren't bothered. This wasn't the best reception nor dining experience and we are moving on. We hope it's a lesson and possibly could've just been a bad day for the crew, and unfortunately there is so much competition out there. We highly recommend the food for its freshness and flavor; recommend the salmon dish for its flavor and balance but not for its portion size. And wish this place nothing but the best and to improve where they dropped the ball.
