    Lunch special
    Sho R.

I was there on a weekday for lunch. Their lunch special is unbeatable. I went for 2 unlimited thalis - Butter chicken indulgence thali and Spice and smoke thali. Butter chicken was their most flavorful item. Everything I had here was really good. The biryani was excellent and the chicken tikka was great too. Everything was unlimited makes it even better. Their veg dishes were even better than their non veg dishes. I really enjoyed the dhal curry and the spinach (green) curry.

Finally came here after living in Redwood City for 4yrs! We had a large party of 12 so decided to order a bunch of different dishes. Ranked in order of my favorite first: Firecracker shrimp 5/5 (this was my favorite dish, it was really delicious and super flavorful!) Goat curry 5/5 (also really nicely done) Avocado bhel 5/5 (impressive presentation and mixture with traditional food and avocado!) Gobi Manchurian 4.5/5 (really good but could have used a bit more sauce!) Paneer 4/5 (very good) Chicken Makhni 3.5/5 (chicken was a bit dry and sauce was pretty bland). Overall great dinner! I will go back to try more dishes!

To go order: Stopped by to get some delicious Indian food. The butter chicken was delicious with the garlic naan. You can customize the naan to add more butter or be more crispy, which is not seen at most places. No, there is a lot more dough and not thin like some places. :) Street parking sucks! Service was friendly and fast. Thank you!

My favorite Indian Restaurant in Bay Area. Had lunch with a dear friend and we enjoyed catching up over delicious food, lovely ambiance and excellent service.

We had dinner at Broadway Masala on Saturday night. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and the ambiance was nice. The service was pretty good and the pricing is a little expensive. As for the food, Roomali roti and ghewar were delicious, and the avocado bhel was good. Fig and walnut kofta was okay with large portion size and the garlic naan was fine. Cauliflower manchurian was a bit underwhelming.

Ambiance: okay Price: A bit pricey Service: great service. Food: As a vegetarian - Loved the Fig and Walnut Kofta. Very innovative and flavorful. Paneer though soft wasn't a fan of the curry. Bordering bland with too much cardamom. Rumali roti and the goat cheese paratha were great. Parking: Street parking or common parking lot near the train station.

There are plenty of metered parking spots around this restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly waiter upon entering the restaurant. The ambiance is kind of upscale. All the tables were covered with white table cloth and had nice table setting. There were some many things on the menu that we wanted to try. We decided to order the All Meat Thali and the Biryani & Kebab Thali. Our food came out in a timely manner. The butter chicken was very flavorful. Both of the Thali were nicely garnished. The lamb in the lamb curry was tender. The Biryani was very tasty and the kebab was tender and juicy. The basket of Naan bread was freshly made and warm when it got to our table. The Gulab Jamun wasn't too sweet, which we really liked. The waiter and waitress checked on us several times. They were very attentive and kind. They were generous with the portions and the prices are fairly reasonable. They also have excellent customer service. We'll be back to try some other entrees.

Stopped by here on Saturday 12 noon. They dont have a buffet but had good a la carte choices. Good calm ambiance, prompt service, ordered the paneer masala, tasted good. A little too tomato'y for me, but wife liked it. Green peas and potatoes would've made it amazing, IMHO. The Romali roti was very nice. Asked for a slice of cut onions, they charged $3.99 for onions without letting us know before hand, but were prompt to remove it when I said we were not told about it.

I recommend coming here for a nice lunch in Downtown RWC! On the more expensive side, but each dish is very fresh and high quality. My colleagues and I loved it. The Cauliflower Manchurian is a must!!!! Love it. Service is quick and the interior is super clean. From their lunch specials, I tried the All Meat Thali. It came with a lot: Butter Chicken, Kadai Lamb, Lentils, Gulab Jamun, Salad, and more! This was quite filling, but the portions were perfect for me. Great presentation too.

I had the garlic cilantro naan, butter chicken, and slow cooked lamb shank. Each dish was perfect. The lamb was fall off the bone tender without being dry, and the butter chicken was super flavorful without being overly rich. The staff was warm and attentive. The seating and environment were comfortable and and pleasant. Definitely worth a second visit!

I'm very impressed with Broadway Masala! The lunch box packaging is especially well done super convenient and thoughtfully designed. Even better, the quality of the food stays great, which really makes a difference. Definitely a place I'd come back to!

Third visit to this restaurant. Went here for dinner after a movie. The restaurant is very cozy and has some nice interior. We ordered a chicken and a lamb dish. Along with some pappadoms, naan bread and drinks. I enjoyed the Murg Methi Malai, very creamy and super tender chicken. My wife's lamb dish was also good, but was too spicy for her. The dishes are always bursting with flavor, unfortunately quite a few pack too much of a punch for our palettes. The rice, naan and crisps helped to neutralize some of it. Staff were friendly and attentive. If you like powerful flavors would definitely give this place a try.

Divine! 7/5 Curry cauliflower over a red non spicy sauce. Refreshing! The flavors blended together with the flavorful but not overpowering flavor, with the well balanced sauce underneath. Could not stop eating it. $17 8/5 Mezze plate - the coconut feta was very creamy and good, I really enjoyed the pomegranate arugula salad with pickled onion and with the pieces of falafel inside. The flatbread was a little hard, but good. The eggplant was good and hummus also good. $32 price a little steep for the platter 6/5 Impossible cheeseburger - classic impossible burger. It's been a minute since I've been to LV Mar but the food is still tasty, albeit a bit pricey. They are kind of the upscale sister to La Viga afterall. We started the meal with the birria fries which were pretty good. I liked the huge chunks of beef which were really nice and tender but I would have liked to see more inclusion of birria into the dish instead of just the meat, like maybe some of the consommé on the side to dip or maybe tossing some cilantro, onions with the cheese or giving it that fresh squeeze of lime. As is, it's fries with some melted cheese and the chunks of birria. Good, but not a standout to me. My personal favorite came with my tacos. I really liked the scallop taco which came on a jicama "tortilla". It was sweet but crisp and worked well with the fried scallop which was also done well and not over fried. I also really liked the huitlacoche which is a bit of a rare find. It's like corn and mushrooms had a baby. It was really tasty. Both of these completely outdid the pork belly taco which was honestly very good in its own right too. The only downside is that the price is about $8 PER TACO which is a lot so while I applaude the creativity for some, that's tough to choose regularly. Overall, food was good and the vibe was fun. It's a good option on Broadway in Redwood City (but yes, I also think you should choose La Viga first).

We arrived at about 1:00-1:30 and the inside main dining area was already closed to patrons as staff prepared for the evening service. The host's tone did not encourage potential customers to dine there during the transition to dinner prep. Not a great first impression that gave off a late arrival so you'll get what's leftover vibe which was exacerbated by being forgotten for what seemed to be a half hour before our waitperson came to take our order. We chose to sit in the front sidewalk patio which was cold and windy not an alternate choice we will need to make again. We ended up sitting across from two loud, self-centered, immature, foul-mouthed college grad girls bragging about studying for their masters attempting to appear cultured were distracting everyone on that patio. After we placed our order, we finished up the app and hubbs was furious they forgot about his glass of pinot which arrived without an apology for the delay preceding our plate arrivals. I had the ny strip steak on the breakfast menu which came out perfectly med-well & added cilantro rice which was good although a little sticky not fluffy. Hubbs had the salmon which looked amazing and he enjoyed the mango sauce--the dish just didn't fill him up. Good thing we ordered fresh chips, salsa& guac.--which was very well prepared; the freshest guac I've ever had. It had fresh chopped tomatoes & green chiles all perfectly combined. Our wait person/food server made up for the less than stellar first impression of the host. And the food was flavorful. The ambiance was ruined by the diners across from us and the forgetfulness of taking our orders timely and serving the wine after the appetizer couldn't bring us back from what started out as negative experience. There are many restaurants up & down the bay that we aren't bothered. This wasn't the best reception nor dining experience and we are moving on. We hope it's a lesson and possibly could've just been a bad day for the crew, and unfortunately there is so much competition out there. We highly recommend the food for its freshness and flavor; recommend the salmon dish for its flavor and balance but not for its portion size. And wish this place nothing but the best and to improve where they dropped the ball.
