My kids have tried their refreshers and non coffee and they move them. Staff is attentive and helpful to suggest their favorites or something anyone might like. This place is fast but it also seems to be organized chaos and I've not ever gotten my order wrong, messy, or delayed. Try it out. I ordered the chai latte and it was good. This location is very central and easy to get to. They have a lot of parking and there were plenty of seating inside. Most of the customers have their laptops and work there. They also have a lot of outlets. The ambiance is very conducive to working since they play relaxing music and it very well lit. read more

However, on my most recent visit, three of the coffees were made incorrectly, and the burrito I ordered was cold in the middle. Hands down the best cup of coffee I've had in a very long time. It was smooth, perfectly sweetened, and I would drive past the green lady on the cup for this place instead. The service was cool as well. The servers are always pleasant and offer easy conversation while you wait. I don't mind the 15 minute drive for a well done cup of coffee. Their breakfast is also very good. I used to go for the almond croissant but they don't have it anymore, so I opt for the burrito which is very good! Over the weekend, I stopped by the Black Rock Coffee Bar. If you don't feel like getting out of your vehicle, there is a drive-thru as well as ample parking in front of the restaurant. As as you enter, you'll notice that the coffee shop has wood paneling, modern lighting, and wall art. The staff was really welcoming when we walked up to the counter to place our order, and they even offered us some drink suggestions. I ordered an Iced Mexican Mocha, a smooth and creamy beverage made with espresso, 2% milk, fine-ground cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon, and almonds. It's the perfect way to spice up your morning. It's a little noisy but people still come to study. Sometimes the manager turns down the temperature, so people often bring jackets, no matter how warm it is outside. The coffee is just OK. The staff is friendly enough. My main concern is, the coffee cup lids almost smell like petroleum. Also worth keeping in mind is that Southlake's water is contaminated with arsenic and PFAS (the nonstick chemical) which could get into your beverage. read more

I've been wanting to come here for a very long time! I ordered the blackout iced, it's their hazelnut mocha. The staff was a bunch of teenagers and they were not very attentive at all. So when I said I needed a second to look at the menu they walked off, and I had to try really hard to get them to come and take my order once I was ready haha. The space is modern, hip and clean but the music was so loud. I came to do a study and chat with a friend and the music was so so distracting. I just don't get that! The people that work here are all great folks. Love the service, they remember your name and what you usually order. There is a down side though. It's hard to find a place to sit down sometimes. People come in just for the internet, never order anything and a lot of times they put a few tables together for what I can only assume is a business meeting. I won't mention bringing in food from other establishments. I've come in on a few occasions 2 times in a day. Those same people are still sitting here which means they've been here here for a few hours. I know it's tough to run them off in the slim chance they might purchase something. Tried the newly opened Black Rock in Southlake. I ordered the iced Irish Coffee, my husband ordered the iced Mexican Coffee and my daughter had the strawberry smoothie. There was a short line and it wasn't long before we were ordering. They were prepared for the opening weekend with a lot of staff. Cashier was very friendly and our drinks were prepared quickly. This isn't the kind of place to go if you are looking for a relaxed vibe. It was very loud with music and people talking. But not everyone wants the quiet lounge experience when visiting a coffee shop so it's nice that there is a place that offers a different atmosphere. Give them a try if you are in the area! It's a coffee chain, but it's not as pervasive as the other one we all know about. I've been through the drive-thru a few times and it is always very fast with friendly service, even when there is a line. The coffee is great, and the pastries are even better. Went today for the first time, I loved the layout it was spacious and felt like you could get things done without much movement because the drive through seemed to bring in most of the crowd. I got an iced oat vanilla latte because I decided to be bad today, and oh my god I haven't had such a yummy latte since Blue Bottle in New York. Oh how I miss my beloved Blue Bottle. This spot is definitely better than starbucks and is great spot to come with a friend and hangout or come to work, read, honestly whatever you would want to do at a coffee shop. The attendant was nice and bathrooms were also nice though one of them had ran out of toilet paper, I didn't say anything because I was the last one in the shop so I'm sure they will notice at closing. Judging from other reviews, I must have visited this shop on an off day. I ordered a medium latte, a salted caramel cookie and a slice of coffee cake. The latte was actually a small as it was literally half foam. I thought the cup felt light and when I tried to take a drink, nothing came out until I tipped the cup halfway. I opened the lid and it was all foam. 4 drinks and it was gone. The pastries are evidently kept very cold or frozen. I nearly broke a tooth on the cookie. It was very hard and cold. The coffee cake was very cold and dry. They need to offer heating the pastries as they are not good so cold. I was really underwhelmed and will probably stay with Starbucks . On a positive note, the young people who work there are very nice. read more
