As if we needed another pop up chain fast coffee place but black rock is different. Try a caramel truffle iced latte with oakmilk or a Mexican mocha trust me. My kids have tried their refreshers and non coffee and they move them. Staff is attentive and helpful to suggest their favorites or something anyone might like. This place is fast but it also seems to be organized chaos and I've not ever gotten my order wrong, messy, or delayed. Try it out. This location has now become our go to Black rock even though it's probably the furthest one away from us. But when we go to Costco in Southlake, this is the one we go to. This is also, despite the fact that the Chick-fil-A next-door is horrible and hogs all the parking. I don't know what it is about stupid Chick-fil-A that people love so much that they're going to risk fender bending and stealing parking spots from other businesses. Makes the whole intersection very dangerous, especially at lunch hour. And car zipping and out of there they don't care if they hit anybody they just wanna get their Chick-fil-A. But anyway, this black rock location is great. They have consistent service. The quality of the drinks is always good and it's also one of the busiest locations. However, on my most recent visit, three of the coffees were made incorrectly, and the burrito I ordered was cold in the middle. Hands down the best cup of coffee I've had in a very long time. It was smooth, perfectly sweetened, and I would drive past the green lady on the cup for this place instead. The service was cool as well. The servers are always pleasant and offer easy conversation while you wait. I don't mind the 15 minute drive for a well done cup of coffee. Over the weekend, I stopped by the Black Rock Coffee Bar. If you don't feel like getting out of your vehicle, there is a drive-thru as well as ample parking in front of the restaurant. As as you enter, you'll notice that the coffee shop has wood paneling, modern lighting, and wall art. The staff was really welcoming when we walked up to the counter to place our order, and they even offered us some drink suggestions. I ordered an Iced Mexican Mocha, a smooth and creamy beverage made with espresso, 2% milk, fine-ground cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon, and almonds. It's the perfect way to spice up your morning. This beverage is available hot, iced, or mixed. The drink was tasty and refreshing. I'm excited to stop by Black Rock Coffee Bar in the future. read more

I've been wanting to come here for a very long time! I ordered the blackout iced, it's their hazelnut mocha. The staff was a bunch of teenagers and they were not very attentive at all. So when I said I needed a second to look at the menu they walked off, and I had to try really hard to get them to come and take my order once I was ready haha. The space is modern, hip and clean but the music was so loud. I came to do a study and chat with a friend and the music was so so distracting. I just don't get that! Tried the newly opened Black Rock in Southlake. I ordered the iced Irish Coffee, my husband ordered the iced Mexican Coffee and my daughter had the strawberry smoothie. There was a short line and it wasn't long before we were ordering. They were prepared for the opening weekend with a lot of staff. Cashier was very friendly and our drinks were prepared quickly. This isn't the kind of place to go if you are looking for a relaxed vibe. It was very loud with music and people talking. But not everyone wants the quiet lounge experience when visiting a coffee shop so it's nice that there is a place that offers a different atmosphere. Give them a try if you are in the area! Nice staff, bad coffee. $3.55 for an extra espresso shot. The Ambiance is okay, chairs are uncomfortable, few couch. It could be the barista didn't pull the shots properly for a normal late beverage. Just moved here recently and have been scouting out the local coffee shops. I give Black Rock high marks for their coffee, have had all versions hot and cold; but what bumps them to 5 star is the staff and service. Went today for the first time, I loved the layout it was spacious and felt like you could get things done without much movement because the drive through seemed to bring in most of the crowd. I got an iced oat vanilla latte because I decided to be bad today, and oh my god I haven't had such a yummy latte since Blue Bottle in New York. Oh how I miss my beloved Blue Bottle. This spot is definitely better than starbucks and is great spot to come with a friend and hangout or come to work, read, honestly whatever you would want to do at a coffee shop.
