Guillermo said he'd be here in twenty minutes. An hour after the scheduled time, he pulled up in front of the house. Within a couple minutes of parking, he called and said: "I don't think I'm the right fit for this job." He hadn't even entered the house or looked at the project. Not sure why he bothered to drive the 25 minutes to not even look at it give a final price on the job. Is it because I'm an Anglo and not Hispanic. If so...seems petty and racist. Had I known before, I would have tried to give business. After reviewing your response, I went back and checked the security camera. You were clearly on your phone...not "unloading levels and measuring equipment." You were also blocking the driveway. My wife's request that you not block the driveway was reasonable. Your response to that request feels like an overreaction. Regardless, I agree that your company is clearly not the one I should work with. I'm sure other potential customers would feel the same. Your actions and words do not support your statement that you "treat every customer equally." I don't feel treated equally. I feel discriminated against.

Called him on 2/13, said he will get us the quote that day. Heard nothing from him and tried calling again on 2/20, that's THREE WEEKS after he came out, can't get a hold of him. RESPONSE TO OWNER: Posting our text and call log here for the world to see. Yes you finally responded after I called AGAIN on 2/20, that's after I already posted this review. You told us you will give us a quote in 3 days, took almost 3 weeks. Never once during those 3 weeks did you reach out to let us know what was going on. Look at the logs and texts, just bunch of outgoing calls from me and me texting you for update. There is no reason for me to lie to ruin your business, I said nothing negative about your quote or your work (can't attest to that). If I didn't like your quote, I could just say that, that's what reviews are for. My issue is that you're just not a very responsive business owner in my experience. I'm even more annoyed now that you accused me of lying instead of owing up to your mistakes.

Where other companies, including Renewal by Anderson, would have suspended the install until after I had another company deal with it, US Window Renewal went the extra yard. They took care of the dry rot immediately, I stalled the garden window, and repaired the stucco. The added cost was much less than hiring a building contractor and was completed without delay. I didn't need to live without the window but for a few extra days. The windows look great (see photos). Quality windows. First class installation...they even added a slanted sill below the garden window. They also stand behind their work Great warranty though I doubt I'll need to call them back. Never knew about life time warranty until last month, one of the window cracked. We didn't have any receipt or anything, just an email we did 14 years ago. We just contacted the company on their website and amazingly, they have the record by the address. The service department was so helpful, they contacted us and contacted the manufacturer to set up appointment with the case number to get it replaced. The windows were replaced 14 years ago in one day and we had many custom sized windows. The amazing thing is they know exactly which window that cracked by us describing the location of the window. Anlin Delmar (Milgard) called us and setup the appointment. They came and replaced the windows in a few hours. It was amazing and we're extremely happy. Now we know, go with the best and reputable company like Custom Exteriors and a good manufacturer like Anlin Delmar to have after service years after the work is done. They warned us the replacement could take a few months. A year later (ish), we reached out. They said they need to come by again & get the label from the window. We offered a good time (10 a.m. or later on date x). Now again not responding. I would never use this company again & do not recommrnd them. This unnecessary stress is ridiculous. I'm going to talk to my cc company to see what can be done. I'll also be contacting BBB, etc when I have the wherewithal. Luckily, my husband doesn't delete emails, so I have all my documentation.
