Crocketts stuffed with banana and chocolate
    Lucy N.

My husband and I found this place after walking around our hotel. We sat outside for a lovely dinner and weather was perfect! Our waiter was super nice and attentive to us which was great for service. We started with a pitcher of sangria (vino tinto) and for our main course he had the fish and I ordered the seafood platter. The fish was delicious and the seafood platter as well. Huge shrimps and lots of mussels For dessert the Waiter recommended the crockets stufed with banana and chocolate and they were yummy. Overall, i recommend this place.

Great attentive service. Delicious food. Ordered the paella, various meats, and potato dishes- would come back. Staff was kind and food was very good/fair based on prices! Outdoor seating was available, which my group did on a nice night!

We stopped here for some tapas mid day. We sat outside enjoyed the activity around us. There were some buskers in the street and of course there's a lot of traffic being near the church. I thought the appetizers were perfectly fine. It was the atmosphere that I quite delighted in.

Fun atmosphere, great service, great Tapas and beverages. Outdoor seating is the best!

    Strangest steak I've ever seen

DO NOT EAT HERE. The food was terrible. The steak was inedible and as overcooked as possible. Fries were frozen. My friend's steak was also inedible but it was so rare it was practically mooing. Please for the love of all that's holy do not eat here.

    Perfect corner table.

We came upon this restaurant the morning of our arrival into Barcelona, sleepy and jetlagged. We had time to kill before we were able to check into our Airbnb. So when we walked by this restaurant, we made a mental note to look it up on Yelp later. Fast forward to much later (after my nap), and found out nothing had been written about this place. It did not deter us, however, and we decided to head on over for dinner. Why hasn't any Yelper written about this restaurant? This place is fantastic! It's literally steps away from Sagrada Familia Basilica....2 steps maybe? Once we entered, we were greeted by the owner (maybe?). What a fun guy he was! I asked for the best table in the house and he said, "Would you care for an ocean view?" Huh?? He gave us a lovely corner table with a great view for people watching. Spaniards are just beautiful people to look at! I mean BeauTiFul! Their menu is extensive, but our waiter was very helpful and patient with us. The menu is also English friendly. So no habla Espanol? No problemo senorita. We, my husband and I, decided on: Shellfish Platter, Octopus Galician Style, Squids Andalusian Style and quenched the thirst with a bottle of some Spanish red blend from Montsant. Everything was delicious! The shellfish was sweet and juicy, and the octopus and squids were tender and seasoned to perfection. The quality of their food certainly exceeded our expectations. The nice man who greeted us (owner maybe?) came around to our corner hideaway and asked how everything was. By the way, this man speaks 5 languages fluently. Geez! Some people just amaze me. The restaurant has a nice outdoor terrace, and it's open 7 days a week. Which is a rarity since many nice restaurants in Barcelona are traditionally closed on Sundays and Mondays. The best part of the evening was the super friendly service. They certainly made us feel at ease on our first night in this beautiful city.

I'm astounded that this restaurant has such a rating. The food is mediocre at best - soppy, lukewarm paella and indifferent service. I give two stars because the soppy paella had some depth of flavors, however inauthentic. It's my fault, my travel rule is not to eat in restaurants named after nearby landmarks or associated figures. This smacks of tourist trap and it is. Run like the devil from this hell hole.

Oh my goodness this is so good. If I ever go to Barcelona again I would come here…read more Must get: Steak with foie gras on bread 8/10: sooo decadent and luxurious. It's abt 8 euros a piece. Very flavorful and fast experience. Oxtail and mashed potatoes 10/10: the oxtail meet is so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes pair so well with the oxtail. Mushroom, steak, and egg yolk 9/10: soo flavorful and balance of veggies and protein. Amazing textures and flavors. Sparkling sangria: 8/10 I don't normally live the taste of alcohol but this was great. Not tooooo strong and if tastes pretty good if you mix it with the orange juice. Fresh orange juice: 10/10 so tangy and delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Patatas bravas: 9/10 solid no complaints! Dessert Tapas: - bread dessert (Tarija): 11/10 amazing dessert that is creamy, cameralized, and has a mochi like texture. This fried chewy dessert is not too sweet and such an affordable price. - coconut pudding 9/10 solid and refreshing if you like flan - bread, chocolate oil, salt 7/10: I live the complex flavors. The chocolate mousse was light and the bread to mousse ratio was perfect. It's a smaller dessert tho I wouldn't recommend it if ur sharing. Service: amazing! Staff I'm everywhere so it was very easy to order more food. Also we were sitting buy the area where they made dessert and they allowed me to record them making it!! Comfortable ambiance great for date night or casual meals!!!

As an international traveling food critic and unbeknownst to the staff, the following is what I…read moreexperienced: - The host seated us next to a table of three self-absorbed, loud and obnoxiously nonstop talking late teens early twenties girls. - The food bus'ers attempted to deliver the wrong order to our and nearby tables five times. - The 1/2 order (three small slivers) tomato soaked bread (1/2 PA AMB TOMAQUET) was certainly not worth the €2.5! - The Greek Salad (ENS GREGA) was the worst example of such we have ever had (my party included an authentic Greek). The feta cheese was absolutely disgusting, it tasted like imitation rubber cheese. - The "Al Ajillo" Style Shrimps (GAMBES AMB ALLADA) had a very strange flavor within it, which overwhelmed the garlic flavors. - The Beef Tenderloin (FILET VEDELLA), she had to spit 1/4 of it out because it was too tough. - Everything was overpriced there for the value. If you are in the area DO NOT waste your time nor money dining here!!!
