Staying at Pine Rose Cabins was such a great fun experience. We stayed at cabin #5 called "Little House on the Pond". The moment we stepped in the cabin we noticed how clean and cozy the place was. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking and dining necessities and the cabin comes with two beds. Although the stairs that leads to the bedroom in this particular cabin can be quite steep so beware when booking this cabin with people who have a hard time going up some stairs. Staff was also friendly. We had so much fun just relaxing by the fire place and exploring lake arrowhead village. The village itself was not too far of a drive. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a fun relaxing cabin experience. I know for sure my wife, daughter, and I would be back sometime in the near future. read more

Life is stressful. Sometimes it lifts you up, sometimes it beats you down, and most of the time, it is awfully exhausting. Me and the fam desperately needed a respite. I can't remember how I found out about this place, but a private, cozy, homey cabin in the mountains sounded like heaven. So we got there and stayed for the weekend. Weekend rates are a bit higher than weekdays but we went in the off-season which made the price more than reasonable for what we got. What we got was a super cute cabin with pine knot walls that looked like it came out of a Grimm's fairy tale. There are 20 cabins on the property and each has its own theme. On my second day there, I took a walk to see what the other cabins looked like. One had a totem pole outside along with a beautifully carved wooden Indian chief. I'm not sure what that cabin looks like on the inside, but next time, I'm staying there! Each cabin has a fully-stocked kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, microwave, stove, etc. I came prepared and even though I didn't plan to cook (after all, I'm on vacation), I brought some coffee, hot chocolate, apple cider to warm up, a frozen cpk pizza, soups, and frozen lasagne. The cabin doesn't have paper towels, plastic wrap, or aluminum foil so it's a good idea to bring your own. I also brought paper plates bc again, why would I want to wash dishes on vacation?? Btw the kitchen was spotless. Everything was sparkling clean...the tiles, the stove (inside and out), the fridge, the utensils, everything. It was impressive and a huge relief. After all, who wants to use crusty utensils or coffee mugs? The kitchen didn't have much counter space which would make it hard to prepare a full meal. That was the only minus. The decor is quaint, rustic, and a bit shabby chic. Very charming. If you are into 4 or 5 star furnishings, you will not like it here. The furnishings, however, are intended to make you feel cozy and comfortable. Little touches like a pine cone wreath above the queen sized bed...lamps with pine cone bases...sweet white cotton curtains on the kitchen window...The beds were warm and comfy and were covered with a beautiful quilts adorned with, what else...pine cones. Guess what the theme of our cabin was? Linens were freshly laundered; sheets, pillows, quilts, etc. You do not get that "ewww" feeling here. Everything is immaculate. The front desk was very friendly and there are cute little gift items in the lobby area. We picked up a magnet as a souvenir. They were even selling these adorable stuffed animals with small flashlights in their paws. Too bad my son is getting too old for plushies! There was a small bubbling creek close to our cabin with koi fish, small bridges, and a water wheel. The grounds were beautiful and well-kept. Our cabin had a porch swing made out of logs as well as a couple of Adirondack chairs. I loved all of these touches. There were acorns scattered about the ground and I picked up a handful and marveled at them. Yea, I've been in the city too long. Really needed this:) Our cabin also came with a small patio equipped with a gas Bbq grill and table/chairs. We didn't use it, but it was a great option for making a tasty meal. Loved it here and can't wait to come back. I am so glad we discovered this gem. Oh, and it's about a 10 minute drive to Lake Arrowhead, where we went for breakfast and fed the ducks afterward. So simple and yet so rejuvenating. Life is about making memories, and this was a great one:). A few more notes: there is free wifi here and it was fast! Even faster than our wifi at home. Also the cabin didn't provide shampoo, conditioner or lotion so be sure to bring your own. Bathroom was generously stocked with tp, small bar soaps, and a blow dryer under the sink. The hospitality was super here. Ice cube trays in the freezer were already filled upon arrival along with a large complimentary pitcher of fresh mountain water in the fridge. It's a good idea to bring a case of extra drinking water, though, for making coffee and instant hot cocoa. read more

I was lucky enough to be a guest at a wedding at the Hidden Creek Lodge and wedding area, and this is absolutely one of the most beautiful wedding locations I have ever seen! Outdoors and near the road, and yet completely cozy and intimate. I was truly dazzled. The Hidden Creek Lodge backs up right to the ceremony and reception locations, so the wedding party had a great and spacious spot to get ready - the fortunes saved on limosines alone make it well worth it! The ceremony location overlooked tree-covered mountains, and the happy couple were married under a beautiful archway made of woven branches and flowers. Cocktail hour gave guests free reign of the property, and this location provided more than enough space for the approx. 80 guests to wander and mingle while the wedding party had their photos taken nearby in privacy. Dinner was served in a dining area that easily accomodated about 10 tables with 8 each, and finally the dance floor was just far enough away from the dining area to allow conversation to still happen while listening to music. It is really a location that accomodates all types of guests, from the party animals to the lowkey folks. Only one tiny gripe, ladies be warned: the floors are entirely made of wooden plank decks, and some of those boards have considerable gaps between them. Twice I had to enlist help from a guest to pull out my high heel lodged between two boards, and it did ultimately cause damage to my shoes. Some of the staircase areas, especially the stairs leading down to the ceremony that the bridal party made their entrance on, are quite steep. Brides and guests alike, wear flats or wide heel pumps, or pay the price! A tipsy guest might snap an ankle! Shoe mishaps aside, I ADORED this location for this wedding. I was also able to visit one of the nearby cabins, and it was spacious and warm, perfect for guests traveling from a distance who want to get their party on, a bachelor/bachelorette party, or a romantic woodsy getaway. Every single step of our stay at Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins was fantastic. It's very easy to call ahead and reserve a cabin, the staff members are very friendly and courteous, and the property is gorgeous. We stayed in the Rustic Romance cabin (#11) for two nights and fell in love with it. Despite what the pictures online lead you to believe, it's actually quite spacious and very well stocked. A quick rundown: Kitchen: Comes fully equipped for all of your basic cooking needs -- there's even a roasting pan, in case you're feeling adventurous. Plenty of cookware/silverware, four stovetop burners, oven, microwave, and moderately sized fridge. Cooking and prep space is a little limited, but it's easy enough to make due. Jacuzzi: Huge and can easily accommodate two adults comfortably. Comes complete with a "wall waterfall" that adds to the ambiance, and there's plenty of space along the outer edge for towels, drinks, candles... whatever puts you in that "rustic romance" mood. Shower: Large, stone-enclosed shower with dual shower heads and faucets. Best part? There's PLENTY of hot water for the shower AND jacuzzi. Beds/Furniture: The king bed was sturdy, comfortable, and had more pillows and blankets than we knew what to do with. There are two dining tables, one indoor and one outdoor on a little enclosed patio, next to a small swing and propane BBQ. (The ignition button doesn't work, but there's a lighter in that fully stocked kitchen you can use instead!) One big lounge chair... that served as a pillow holder. Fireplace: Large and a little confusing. BE SURE TO OPEN THE GRATE before you start the fire, otherwise you'll smell like freshly smoked brisket for a while. Once the fire gets going, though, it really warms the room and sets the mood. Two quick tidbits of advice: 1) The floors are made of stone and get VERY cold if it's not 70 degrees or higher outside, so bring socks or slippers. 2) There's no real door on the bathroom. It's essentially a wooden version of a toilet stall you'd see in a public restroom. That said, if you aren't comfortable "making a splash" in front of your partner(s), plan on them having to take walks or listen to some music on high volume for a while. It's oddly charming, in a way. There's a little store right around the corner that has toiletries, snacks, firewood, and booze, and a very highly rated restaurant right next door. It's less than 15 minutes to Arrowhead Village, and the cabins themselves are very easy to get to. While we didn't come for a wedding, we did explore the grounds a bit, and there are some lovely spaces for wedding ceremonies of all sizes. It's a very charming, quiet location that we cannot wait to come back to. Highly, highly recommend checking it out.... just so long as you don't book the cabin I want. read more

Last October, my yorkie won a Halloween costume contest. I was 4 months pregnant at the time, & my husband & I debated using the free cabin stay before our baby arrived. I'm so glad we decided to wait, so that we could make memories as a family with her. She was 5 months old when we went, & of course we brought the dogs with us. The cabins provide everything you need, meaning there's less you have to bring from home. That was a huge plus for us, with all we needed to bring already, for the dogs & the baby. It was quiet, clean, & quaint. We bbq'd on the back patio, & it became a place of solace during our visit, drinking wine while listening to the sound of the creek running through the backyard. This place is beautiful and relaxing. The added fees are ridiculous. They're actually a rip off, higher than Las Vegas. We stayed here before a few years ago and they didn't have these high fees. The accommodations are wonderful. The problems we had was of some of the staff. When I called and asked about check in time they said 2pm but if your room is ready before that you can check in. We arrived at 12:30 and my husband walked in to lobby and asked if he can check in. The lady didn't even ask what room he had and barked "check in time is 2pm go have lunch". Not a good way to start. Then we had an issue with Netflix in our room and another female staff lectured me and my 15 year old son about it. There were supposed to be instructions on the wall and there were not. She was very rude. One male staff in the lobby was very nice and even explained the scoring of horseshoes. Cabins: Top notch. In our group we had 4 cabins and all were very happy. I stayed in Smokey Bear Ranger. Very roomy and our patio area was great. Good barbecue and well stocked kitchen. The bedding was very warm. Don't expect plush mattress and our beds were full sized. My husband is 6 ft 2 so his feet hung off bed. But perfect for kids and shorter people like me. Tips: bring paper plates if you have a big group. Also bring paper towels, napkins and aluminum foil for leftovers. They have all other appliances. Things to do: volleyball court, horseshoe, hiking, kids play set, lake Gregory and lake arrowhead ten minutes away. We made great family memories and we will come back again. read more

We had our wedding here on Friday, the venue was great and secluded. The beds were much more firm than I expected but still not terrible. We didn't have any time for internet or any of that, but everyone there was very friendly and helpful with everything else. We rented about 4 cabins and the hidden creek lodge and all were fantastic and clean. They were within walking distance and there were little swings for the kids to play on. Our biggest complaints were with some of our outside vendors for our wedding. On that note, we are in the process of getting a refund from Jensen's bakery so I would advise not using them if you are getting married here. read more

We absolutely LOVED having our big day at Pine Rose. Lynda acted as our (included!!!) wedding coordinator and was AMAZING. After meeting her and seeing the venue, it was an easy choice. We fell in love with their smaller venue, Cedar Creek, which accommodated our 65 guests perfectly. A huge perk for us is that the wedding packages are practically all-inclusive but also customizable and affordable. We had plenty of choices without being overwhelmed. The site was stunning, the staff was professional, and the day couldn't have gone any better! Having the ceremony, reception, and cabins for guests all in one area made for a great party. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We've stayed here several times separately from our wedding, and LOVE the rustic cabins. There's one for every size family from a one room studio to a large multi-family lodge. It was a great venue for a wedding. We went there for my girlfriends wedding. To our surprise, the place was quite nice. The setting was beautiful and very intimate. We all had a great time, minus the bugs flying around while eating. The weather was perfect that day. In addition, the wedding was opened to the guests from 4-12am. The best part was, it has an open bar without charge. Also, the bride and groom got to stay there for the night along with their family members in a separate room, of course, in the same cabin. We are staying for our last night here at Pine Rose in cabin 17 Cedar Creek. It has been a really wonderful trip that met all our expectations. There are very few negatives about this place. This cabin says 3 bedrooms but is really 2 bedrooms and a loft. This suited us fine. One of our downstairs windows had no locks and we decided to hold valuables elsewhere since we couldn't secure the cabin properly. We weren't too concerned since the property seemed quiet and safe. The cabin is clean and well cared for. Our beds we're comfortable and bedding clean and warm. The living area had great comfy furniture with a gorgeous wood burning fireplace. Stocked and clean kitchen. Our cabin was one of the few dog approved and actually had a dog run and dog house! Loved this!! Since our visit is a couple days from Christmas, we were delighted to find a Christmas tree and decor in our cabin! My kids received a lovely gingerbread kit from the staff that was so appreciated by us. One of the best parts is the amazing back patio that overlooks the koi pond. We barbecued and enjoyed the spacious picnic tables and wood lounge furniture. The cabins are not super far apart but we had plenty of privacy. Loved our stay here! Such a beautiful property and the staff is amazing. My wife and 2 kids stayed here on 1/27/2021 through 1/29/2021. The contactless check-in was super easy. We picked up our key, map of the property, and all the welcome information was super helpful. We stayed in Wild Bills Cabin #15 with one bedroom. The furniture was well kept and the kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy a quiet family meal in the midst of a snow storm. I was surprised the wifi worked so well -- I was able to catch up on Cobra-Kai Season 3 on Netflix while my kids watched their favorite youtube shows with no connectivity issues. The highlight of our trip was going to the warm jacuzzi with 4 to 5 feet of snow all around us. When we checked out, the storm covered our SUV with snow. After a call to the lobby, they sent Lee to plow the snow around our SUV and helped us attach cables to our tires. when we checked out, the lobby advised us on the best roads to make it down the mountain. This was our first trip in the middle of a snow storm and Arrowhead Pine Rose made our stay cozy, safe, and fun. We will be back for future winter getaways. read more

My family and I had an amazing time this past weekend. I reserved two lodges "Strawberry and Alpine Lodge". Let me tell you that we made memories at Pine Rose Cabins. Everything was perfect besides the rain, we still manage to enjoy our time both indoors and outdoors. Cynthia, who was my contact from the beginning worked with me and was very patient. My husband and I decided to take a tour before planning everything back in November and she touched base with me and broke it down on how to go about my payment options. Staff is really friendly and very welcoming. I am defiantly planning another trip next year with our big Family and hopefully making it a tradition for now on. Even though we only saw patches of snow we still had a great time. The rooms were nice and cozy, very clean and organized and everything you need for a stay over. My daughter had her wedding here in March 2015. What an amazing venue. The setting is gorgeous from the wedding cite, bubbling brooks, ponds, trees and flowers to the log cabin that sleeps 18 with a full kitchen. It is all inclusive and turned out beautiful. The meal was delicious, flowers and cake beautiful. So relaxing and totally enjoyable. We had a brunch for 30 the next morning and had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook! I really enjoyed our stay here. It was the best experience I've ever had! I was very impressed with everything. We were running late for our scheduled check in time and the front office staff took the initiative to make arrangements to get us the keys to our cabin. We also accidentally locked ourselves out of our cabin and the groundskeeper immediately arrived to assist. The cabin was very neat and clean and the decor was beautiful. They also provide good quality toiletries and just really go out of their way to make sure you have a comfortable stay. I loved walking around the area and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We saw many blue jays and chipmunks. We visited the beautiful creeks, ponds and streams and enjoyed taking pictures. This is a great place for any vacation or event: romantic getaway, family vacation, friends. The wedding venues are beautiful and unique. It is also very close to hiking trails, shopping, Lake Arrowhead village, attractions. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights and I honestly did not want to leave. I'm amending my previous review because the owner's daughter (I believe she's the property manager?) is a CLASS ACT. She remedied the situation with such grace and generosity and I can say I will definitely be staying at Pine Rose again. We had extremely noisy neighbors that she said she's had problems with before and apologized that the emergency number policy got lost in translation. You can call their after hours number for any mechanical problems as well as noise complaints. Just FYI for future guests! I love the property and had stayed before so I was really bummed that we had such a negative experience but she truly handled it with ultimate class. We stayed in the Cedar Creek cabin over the weekend. It is a 3-bedroom cozy cabin that can fit up to 10 people. Everything is great. The beds are comfy, the showers are hot and kitchen are stocked with the basic cookwares and utensils. Due to the rains, we stayed in the cabin whole day. The living room is cozy but not huge. It might be too small for 10 people but the outdoor space is actually spacious and beautiful. There is a door to the backyard that is surrounded by tall trees and a stream running through it. We did not have the chance to use outdoor BBQ grill and Jacuzzi but we already decided to come back later in Spring or Summer. First and foremost, the hospitality and service by all the staff is exceptional. I had numerous questions throughout our stay and an issue with the TV that were all addressed quickly and with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. The staff has good customer service as a high priority and that was appreciated. We stayed in The Little House on The Pond cabin and my complaints are that the fireplace flue damper could not be closed. The lever was missing and it appeared to have been welded so it could not be closed. With the snow storms and winds over the whole weekend this made for an extremely cold cabin and also a very ashy cabin as the wind came down the flue and blew the ash everywhere when there was no fire. Keep in mind it was like 30 degrees outside so with no fire the wall heater set at 78 degrees maintained 68-70 degrees which is not enough to warm up the whole cabin. With a fire it would get up to 73-74 degrees. The kitchen and bathroom especially was always freezing cold. When I mentioned this at checkout, I was told that there have been issues with guests not opening the flue before starting a fire which caused smoke in the cabin. I now say post a sign about the flue as there were signs for practically everything else. An open flue kept it too cold even for the heater. Also, I was under the impression that small shampoo and conditioner bottles would be provided like in a hotel but there were none. Little bars of soap were provided though. I read another review complaining about the beds. I am 6-1 and my feet did hang over the one bed but only because I was worried my head would hit the ceiling if I sat up in the middle of the night. I should have slept in the other room without that concern but my son wanted that room. The second night I slept diagonal across the bed and was fine. I thought the beds themselves were comfortable. I can't help but also mention that the cloth chairs and couch were stained and could use some serious deep cleaning. I hated to think of what we were sitting on and touching so I tried not to. It was about a 10 minute walk (in the snow) to the general store and The Grill at Antlers Inn. Everyone was very nice and the food was delicious at the Grill. The prices are higher than normal but not too outrageous. A California Gourmet Burger at The Grill was $15 and came with garlic fries. At the store a bundle of wood was $7, a single Duraflame log was $7, and a can of Spaghettios was $3. Overall, it was cold and ashy (when there was no fire) but a very cozy, enjoyable, and relaxing weekend and I would stay again but probably in a different cabin if it's expected to be cold or snowing. I booked this trip months ago not expecting snow but it was awesome! The downside to the snow was that we were not able to do any hiking or explore the surroundings like we had wanted. Lastly, I was so appreciative of the Bobcat tractor clearing the snow in the driveway so we could get out with ease. Thank you! read more

This was our second stay here (first time was in Wild Bill's 1-bedroom, this time was in Little House on the Pond 2-bedroom). We enjoyed both times, it was a great place for our school-aged kids to run around and explore the woods and creeks outside, and the cabins were cozy and comfortable. The trundle bed in the living room worked great for our kids in Wild Bill's on our first visit. Little House on the Pond does have a very narrow steep staircase going to the two bedrooms upstairs - it worked for us, but might be challenging for some. It's nice to have a kitchen, although we mostly enjoyed getting local take-out. Nice place to socially distance during COVID! read more

It was clean and in really good condition, considering the age of the property. We were comfortable ... every little amenity was provided. The staff was friendly. Parking right in front of our cabin. If I could give you 10 stars I would! My family came up up on our 51st year to pine rose cabins just this week. Trish an Dave have put so much love into this resort I grew up in every summer. Their staff is first class all the way and they treat you like family. I was so sad to leave on Friday, but we already have our reservations for next year. I will never vacation anywhere else and I love you guys! The cabins are so clean and fully stocked. All you need to bring is food and clothes. It's so peaceful and quiet. See you all next Summer! Loved this place. We came here looking for a Venue and fell in love with it at first sight. The trees and sounds of the frogs chirping at night made it so relaxing when we hosted our rehearsal dinner. The staff was more than accommodating and gave great service. I wish that they would rent out the main cabin for other events other than weddings because I would definitely come back for a reunion or birthday. Lynda was the best and we couldn't have asked for better coordinator. She kept in contact with us from day one and we are so grateful to have her be a part our special day. Welcome to a special place. My parents and I stayed in Cabin 14. It was truly magical as soon as we walked in. Every room was perfectly decorated and very well thought out. It was extremely clean. The kitchen had everything you will need.We woke up to blue birds and squirrels on the back porch while sitting drinking coffee in the rocking chairs listing to the stream of water. Very friendly service and nice clean cabins- the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because we were told toiletries were provided- no shampoo, conditioner or shower gel or lotion was available in the cabin. Upon calling we got some bar soap and shampoo and that was it. For the price, toiletries are expected. read more

I am in love! My husband booked the Romantic Rustic for our Anniversary and I was blown away. From the moment we walked up to the door I was impressed. The Romantic Rustic cabin is located near a Koi pond with a bridge. It's just beautiful here. There is a spa tub in the room with a water fall and jets. The fire place and spa are both right by your bed (bathroom is in a separate area in your room). There is also a separate area in the room with a show. We came close to Christmas so they had lights above the fire place and a small Christmas Tree in the room. The tv has Pandora on it, or Netflix, and other movie sites. It has a full kitchen and they supply you with pots, pans, plates, utensils and cups. It was just perfect. Also, you show your key around town to the participating restaurants and you get a 10% discount. We are definitely coming back!!! While this room is not pet friendly (obviously that makes sense), next time we will choose another theme/room so we can bring our pup! read more

ABSOLUTELY THE GREATEST PLACE TO STAY IN CALIFORNIA. I come up to stay in their studios at least once/quarter to escape from the craziness of LA. Cabins are adorable, pristine, & the staff is incredible. Ashley is a BOSS who kicks butt in customer service - knowing exactly what her guests need even before they say it (she even spent the days between her wedding & honeymoon behind the front desk, greeting her guests like they were her top priority!) Finally, I just hosted a small retreat at the Strawberry Lodge & it couldn't have been more magical - nights in the hot tub, worship around the fire place, cooking together in the fully stocked kitchen, volleyball after lunch, wine tasting at Sycamore Ranch, & peaceful devotionals on the lawn as the sun comes up. Our family and friends stayed in the Winter Ski Chalet Cabin last weekend, we had a fantastic time. Staff was very polite and everything was clean.
