Found this place at the last minute, for a weekend get away. Once we checked in, they immediately gave us these delicious homemade cookies. It reminded me of when you check into the Hilton and you receive the famous chocolate chip cookies. Our room was super cute, clean and comfortable. The room had a good heating system because we stayed warm and cozy all night. The only thing I would have liked to see in the room was bottled water for the keurig that's in the room. There were coffee pods, tea and cups but no bottled water. However, I suppose you could go into the main house to grab but it would have been nice to have it in the room. Overall, this was a great stay. I'm super picky and this place was well maintained, quiet and accommodating. As we checked out, I asked if I could purchase some of those delicious cookies. They don't sell any but Jamie was so kind and gave me some to go. Thank you Jaime! I'll definitely visit again in the future.

Adorable cupcakes decorated like a bear on the beach with a lifesaver, beach towel and an umbrella. Cute and delicious.

18 of us were there this weekend at Apples B&B for scrapbooking. Apples B&B is so charming in so many ways! The dining room is set up elegantly and the meals are delicious with large portions. The gardens are gorgeous & well manicured. The scrapbooking facilities are perfect for a small to large groups. The staff provides yummy desserts, coffee, many tea and soda selections The bedrooms are comfortable and charming, decorated with a Victorian style. Always clean. The staff are kind, very helpful and efficient.

    So festive for Christmas!

We needed a place to stay while we visited family for the holidays and we had the best experience. We had our own private wing with three bedrooms for our family! The breakfast was next level and the kids meals were so creative with pancake snowman and pancake cars on a icing Road. They paid so much attention to detail. We left early one morning and they had a "ski meal" bag of breakfast and snacks. So great when we had to leave early. The workers were so kind and helpful. Cheers to the chef! I devoured my breakfast. Honestly think it's the best bacon I've ever had out of a restaurant. Yippie! So festively decorated for the holidays too.

This past weekend I spent three nights at Apples and am having withdrawals now that I'm back to reality! It was my first visit but definitely not my last. The natural beauty alone is worth staying but the home cooked breakfasts obviously made with love were such a treat. I'm going to be calling Lora for multiple recipes! The team at Apples provided superior service and were just so friendly. And I still cannot believe how spotless everything was inside and out. The grounds full of blooming tulips are amazing and I'm looking forward to seeing them again very soon. We walked the beautiful path directly behind the inns property multiple times a day, enjoying nature and the sounds of a small running creek. Highly recommend this B & B for couples, families, and groups. It's in walking distance of restaurants, Walgreens and convenience stores. Plenty of parking onsite too!

I have been to four Scrapbooking retreats at Apples. The grounds are the most beautiful in Big Bear, and the staff is very accommodating and friendly. The food is prepared with love. Apples is the best!

Had a wonderful 4 day stay last weekend with my scrapbooking gals. For being such a large group of ladies, the staff along with Jaime, the manager, were attentive, committed to filling our needs in a timely manner, and always available. The chef was great and I enjoyed all my meals for the stay. The quest have a recommendation list posted in their room in which I took advantage of for dinner two of my nights, both were excellent just as recommend. The Inn also has a hiking trail that's located north-east of the buildings in which I got to enjoy everyday of my stay. Location is handicapped accessible and has rooms on bottom floors as well as crafting space for handicapped needs. Can't wait until my next visit. ;-)

Had amazing weekend here at this amazing beautiful place and the staff was great very caring and helpful they ensure everything was great. The food was fantastic breakfast, lunch and dessert all homemade no complaints at all. I will definitely go back

I was just at Apples, hosting 31 ladies for National Scrapbook Day and we had a blast! The food is always so yummy, the staff is wonderful and Jaime did a wonderful job of keeping everyone happy! It's such a beautifully kept grounds and we enjoy our long walks after breakfast on the trails behind the House. I can't wait to come back again next year!

Still basking in the "high" from our fabulous Mother's Day Scrapbook/Crafting retreat with @melyssahb at Apples! It was absolutely perfect in every respect, from the dedicated, attentive and caring staff and owner(I wish I could remember their names), to the delicious food, lovely appointed and comfy bedrooms, spacious crafting rooms, perfect weather and the most beautiful and magical grounds. We even got to witness a beautiful wedding on Saturday! This is my 4th crafting retreat and Apples never fails to impress. The amenities are totally next level, I could go on and on but I will let a few pictures show what can't even begin to put into words. Thank you Apples staff you're the best!

Great spot to stay in Big Bear! Very close to Snow Summit and the Village. Loved the breakfast both morning - super cute setup!

I just spent the weekend here at a photo cropping retreat. The staff are wonderful and kind and friendly and wanting to ensure every need and want is met. The room was very comfortable as were the beds and the fireplace in our room added so much to the ambience. The food was yummy, and they made every effort to accommodate my dietary needs. The grounds are beautiful, and I enjoyed spending time sitting and reading outdoors in the sunshine, even though it was very cold. we were fortunate to see the tulips, just coming into bloom from I will certainly want to come back.

What a stunning location! I've been visiting this wonderful bed-and-breakfast for the past nine years. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. It's centrally located, making it easy to access both the slopes and the village. And the food-I'm always excited for breakfast! It's truly an amazing getaway. Jaime and the staff do everything possible to ensure a fantastic experience.

From the moment we walked into Sierra Blue Hotel & Swim Club, we knew we picked the right place. The aesthetic is incredible -- vintage charm from the original Thundercloud Lodge blended perfectly with modern, rustic chic design. Thoughtful artwork, cozy textures, and designer-inspired rooms make it feel stylish yet warm. It's a full-service hotel right in the heart of the Village -- one short block to the lake, shops, and restaurants (and right across from the bowling alley). Easy parking and EV charging available, which is a huge bonus. Janet, Maddie, and Louie greeted us and were absolutely amazing. Genuine, welcoming, and thoughtful. They even gifted us complimentary mugs and were so kind to our son, giving him a patch for his jacket or hat. That kind of hospitality stands out. And the freshly baked s'mores cookies? Unreal. Warm, gooey, perfectly toasted marshmallow and melted chocolate. Honestly better than DoubleTree cookies -- and yes, even better than the famous Disney park cookies. They're that good. Spotless room, beautiful Village views, pet-friendly, incredible service, and an unbeatable location. Five stars without hesitation. We'll absolutely be back -- especially for those cookies.

We chose a room with a kitchenette, and even for our short stay, it was a great convenience. Service is a little hit or miss. When we arrived our room was a bit stuffy so we tried to use the thermostat, which kept indicating a low battery. We called the front desk and the man who answered hesitantly said they'd tell maintenence. On our way out for dinner, we stopped by the front desk to remind them of our request and it was the same person who answered the phone. He was surprised and scrambled to find a sticky note to write it down. After all of that, we come back to the room to a note that it's been "fixed." The A/C and heat are controlled on the unit by the window itself, not the thermostat. So why not say that the two times we asked about it? The entrance and exit are towards the road behind the main street through down, which has restaurants, a 7-11, and other places you can easily walk to -- if they had an exit facing the main road. We had to walk around the building, climb over the railing and then make our way to the sidewalk.

However, I was disappointed that the bathroom in Room 363 already had some maintenance issues. The toilet was loose and wobbled every time we used it, and the shower handle was also loose and moved around when adjusting the water temperature. For a newer property, I expected these basic fixtures to be in better condition. The complimentary breakfast was a simple American-style breakfast with a few hot items, which was convenient but nothing particularly special. Overall, the hotel has great potential because it's clean and well maintained in general, but the maintenance issues in our room definitely affected our experience. Hopefully, management will address these problems soon, as this could easily be a 4 star stay with better attention to detail.

They made us feel right at home, which was a great way to start our stay. We booked a room with two queen beds, a fireplace, and a balcony. The lobby is nice, and the hotel has a spacious breakfast area along with an on-site restaurant. Our room was on the first floor, though, and the balcony overlooked someone's backyard, so we didn't really get to enjoy sitting outside. That was probably the biggest disappointment. The room itself was comfortable enough. The beds were decent, and it looked like some of the decor had been updated. The bathroom, however, could definitely use some work. There were patched areas on the walls, cracked baseboards, and it felt a little worn. The hallways could also use a refresh. The game room was a nice surprise. It had a pool table, ping pong, foosball, a few board games, and vending machines. There's also a small outdoor pool and jacuzzi, which looked like a nice place to relax. Breakfast was included and had a good variety of options, which we appreciated, especially on a busy holiday weekend. Overall, while parts of the hotel felt a little dated and even a bit creepy in places because of the older chateau style, we still enjoyed our stay. For the price we paid during one of the busiest weekends of the year, it was a good value. A few updates would make a big difference, but the excellent customer service and included breakfast definitely left a positive impression.

It's certainly strange- you take an elevator up, stairs down, more stairs down, some up, and you finally find your second floor room. It similar to the Winchester House in San Jose. We didn't eat breakfast, although it is provided, but we did have dinner at Tiffany's. Dinner was great, with live entertainment. The hot tub is small, five person max, but the pool was nice, with several chairs around to relax. There is an outdoor bocci ball court. Inside is a game room with a pool table, foosball, air hockey, ping pong, checkers, and connect four. All free. Parking is free. Overall, nice place. There is plenty of lodging in Big Bear, but if you get an opportunity, I would try this place.
