Adorable cupcakes decorated like a bear on the beach with a lifesaver, beach towel and an umbrella. Cute and delicious.

18 of us were there this weekend at Apples B&B for scrapbooking. Apples B&B is so charming in so many ways! The dining room is set up elegantly and the meals are delicious with large portions. The gardens are gorgeous & well manicured. The scrapbooking facilities are perfect for a small to large groups. The staff provides yummy desserts, coffee, many tea and soda selections The bedrooms are comfortable and charming, decorated with a Victorian style. Always clean. The staff are kind, very helpful and efficient.

    So festive for Christmas!

We needed a place to stay while we visited family for the holidays and we had the best experience. We had our own private wing with three bedrooms for our family! The breakfast was next level and the kids meals were so creative with pancake snowman and pancake cars on a icing Road. They paid so much attention to detail. We left early one morning and they had a "ski meal" bag of breakfast and snacks. So great when we had to leave early. The workers were so kind and helpful. Cheers to the chef! I devoured my breakfast. Honestly think it's the best bacon I've ever had out of a restaurant. Yippie! So festively decorated for the holidays too.

This past weekend I spent three nights at Apples and am having withdrawals now that I'm back to reality! It was my first visit but definitely not my last. The natural beauty alone is worth staying but the home cooked breakfasts obviously made with love were such a treat. I'm going to be calling Lora for multiple recipes! The team at Apples provided superior service and were just so friendly. And I still cannot believe how spotless everything was inside and out. The grounds full of blooming tulips are amazing and I'm looking forward to seeing them again very soon. We walked the beautiful path directly behind the inns property multiple times a day, enjoying nature and the sounds of a small running creek. Highly recommend this B & B for couples, families, and groups. It's in walking distance of restaurants, Walgreens and convenience stores. Plenty of parking onsite too!

Pic of confirmation letter we received booking on Apples site, with owner name. Their own site sends this...

Great, but let me get the negative out 1st, since people tend to not read until the end: We booked on their website, we received an email confirmation from them and it LITERALLY SAID "breakfast, afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, evening appetizers" We called to check on the times for these, because we were making reservations for different restaurants, for the 3 days we were there. They got irritated with the question, and said that they do not do the afternoon tea or appetizers, and that the 3rd party website they thought we booked on had No right to display these things, since they don't do them. I said that we booked thru their site, not an outside source, and the confirmation email we received was from their OWNER, with her name and phone # at the end of email. Apparently, we are the bad guys for asking!! Now for the good: It is a cute place, and breakfast was good, the room is big, although the actual bathroom is tiny, with a big dressing room/closet area. They have hot chocolate and cider, popcorn too. At breakfast the owner told everyone that leaving tips in the room is not good because then the maids get that money, to only leave tips in the tip jar on check in desk, so she can split them with the staff. This seemed odd, since most people want to tip their room's maid because they have to clean up our being slobs LOL!!

I have been to four Scrapbooking retreats at Apples. The grounds are the most beautiful in Big Bear, and the staff is very accommodating and friendly. The food is prepared with love. Apples is the best!

Had a wonderful 4 day stay last weekend with my scrapbooking gals. For being such a large group of ladies, the staff along with Jaime, the manager, were attentive, committed to filling our needs in a timely manner, and always available. The chef was great and I enjoyed all my meals for the stay. The quest have a recommendation list posted in their room in which I took advantage of for dinner two of my nights, both were excellent just as recommend. The Inn also has a hiking trail that's located north-east of the buildings in which I got to enjoy everyday of my stay. Location is handicapped accessible and has rooms on bottom floors as well as crafting space for handicapped needs. Can't wait until my next visit. ;-)

Had amazing weekend here at this amazing beautiful place and the staff was great very caring and helpful they ensure everything was great. The food was fantastic breakfast, lunch and dessert all homemade no complaints at all. I will definitely go back

I was just at Apples, hosting 31 ladies for National Scrapbook Day and we had a blast! The food is always so yummy, the staff is wonderful and Jaime did a wonderful job of keeping everyone happy! It's such a beautifully kept grounds and we enjoy our long walks after breakfast on the trails behind the House. I can't wait to come back again next year!

Still basking in the "high" from our fabulous Mother's Day Scrapbook/Crafting retreat with @melyssahb at Apples! It was absolutely perfect in every respect, from the dedicated, attentive and caring staff and owner(I wish I could remember their names), to the delicious food, lovely appointed and comfy bedrooms, spacious crafting rooms, perfect weather and the most beautiful and magical grounds. We even got to witness a beautiful wedding on Saturday! This is my 4th crafting retreat and Apples never fails to impress. The amenities are totally next level, I could go on and on but I will let a few pictures show what can't even begin to put into words. Thank you Apples staff you're the best!

Great spot to stay in Big Bear! Very close to Snow Summit and the Village. Loved the breakfast both morning - super cute setup!

I just spent the weekend here at a photo cropping retreat. The staff are wonderful and kind and friendly and wanting to ensure every need and want is met. The room was very comfortable as were the beds and the fireplace in our room added so much to the ambience. The food was yummy, and they made every effort to accommodate my dietary needs. The grounds are beautiful, and I enjoyed spending time sitting and reading outdoors in the sunshine, even though it was very cold. we were fortunate to see the tulips, just coming into bloom from I will certainly want to come back.

What a stunning location! I've been visiting this wonderful bed-and-breakfast for the past nine years. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. It's centrally located, making it easy to access both the slopes and the village. And the food-I'm always excited for breakfast! It's truly an amazing getaway. Jaime and the staff do everything possible to ensure a fantastic experience.

    lovely place

We found this gorgeous spot last minute, and it was the perfect escape. After a long, exhausting day of snowboarding, we walked in to be greeted by the warmest smile and the most welcoming host, who gave us a personal tour and showed us to our room (shoutout to Jaime who was amazing making our stay perfect). The lobby was the ideal place to unwind, with the scent of fresh popcorn filling the air as we sank into a rocking chair, reliving the day's adventures. This place isn't just photogenic, it has a genuine, inviting vibe that makes the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommended!

    So cozy!

The first room we got didn't have a functional deadbolt lock. We tried calling the owners of the facility just for it to not go through like some of the other reviews say. Anyways, the older women who runs it came to check it out and unfortunately had the audacity in the broken English she spoke to just use the bottom lock. Yeah, idk about that lol. My girlfriend and I looked at each other just in disbelief. Fortunately, we were given another room Nextdoor. Typically, my girlfriend and I's routine is to go right to the AC and put it at a reasonable temperature. It did not work. We asked the older lady once again, and she slides over a dusty electric fan. Eek... aside from that, the beds were definitely uncomfortable too. Oh yeah, the fire alarms are detached and thrown into some drawers. I guess the only cool thing about this cabin was some old written diaries talking about the place since 97' when it was owned by the first people who rented out the cabins. Cool stories for sure. It was huge and the water was always super hot and the shower was hot right when I got out of the tub. A little soap goes a very long way with bubbles, proceed with caution. The room and the spa were very clean, there was a sticker on the door with the name of the person and the date that our room was sanitized which was reassuring to me. Once inside it smelled clean and everything looked clean. I did take a bottle of Odoban and did a once over but it was during COVID paranoia. Whenever I stay anywhere I strip the bed and put on my own sheets and blanket but when tearing the bed apart our white linens were very white and clean. I read reviews about a rouge hair or two and myself having very long dark hair I find it silly that it would be a huge deal, even in the most immaculate environment one is bound to pop up, trust me, I know but I understand with COVID everyone needs to be on top of their game with cleanliness. I found the location to be really convenient, it was close to everything we wanted to do. We had several exchanges with the owner, we checked in after midnight and she was friendly and professional. Since we were both working remotely due to COVID we decided we wouod like to stay another night if they could accommodate us and she was very courteous and made the process easy and that extra night actually turned into 3 extra nights! I suppose one could find the rooms dated, I personally felt like they were cute and cozy and felt cabin like,I didn't mind the decor at all. We stayed in cabin 16, I was able to scope out 17 and has been updated recently and is more modern. They both cost the same so I would probably go with 17 it's really the best bang for your buck. Finding our cabin at night was fairly difficult if you are able to check in during the day I would definitely say do that. We eventually found our cabin, they all look the same and aren't marked terribly well. The parking is a bit tight I came straight from buying a new fairly expensive car so I had to park a few different times until I was satisfied I would avoid a door ding but that was probably new car paranoia and if you don't arrive after midnight like a dummy you'll probably have a better chance at choice parking. Once in the cabin I saw there was one of those QR codes on the wall for you to scan and when you do they offer a coupon code that can't be applied retroactively of course so I was kinda bummed by that because it only required a 3 day stay to receive the discount and we stayed over twice that long so perhaps it could have been offered. I found it online as well so before you book look online for coupon codes because they're available. I found booking straight from their website was less expensive than Expedia and the other travel sites. For the price I think this place is unbeatable. Just when you thought I was going to shut up I pop back up... I forgot to mention that one night a family checked into one of the family cabins and they were out until after 10 pm and they were loud eventually I called Cathy at the number she provides for you to call if you need anything and within 5 minutes she had sent someone to take care of the issue. I'm not sure if any of the cabins are pet friendly but I know that the one we stayed in was not and that was really the biggest issue we had. I have a 4 pound Yorkie with separation anxiety and he's grown quite accustomed to going everywhere with me so we had to hire a pet sitter and I really missed my Lil guy! I wish they allowed pets of a certain size with a deposit. Other than that I can't wait until it's time to go back. We went in the last week of April for my birthday and the weather was perfect. Not too cold but you still definitely get that mountain experience and since it's the off season everything is very affordable. Remember to look for that coupon code online and to book through their direct website and the price is unreal.

Dreams really do come true, and I had the vintage wedding of my dreams! Carrie, Sam, Jillian, and everyone at Christmas House are now like family to us. All of our guests absolutely loved our wedding and the house, and said what a unique and cool venue it is. A lot of them said it was the best wedding they have ever been to and are still talking about it a year later. I wanted something completely different and personal compared to a country club, golf club, or hotel since I have been to so many weddings. Since we were planning from out of state, we also liked that so many things were included such as cake, DJ, etc. I loved that we had the whole place to ourselves for the whole wedding weekend and got to do the pizza party and overnight stay, as well as breakfast which was some of my favorite food of the weekend! I particularly recommend the quiche! We had some of our bridal party stay with us and they loved it. It was nice to spend some personal time with them before we jetted off to our honeymoon. Also military wives and brides: they have a military discount! I also loved that the Christmas House team worked well with our wedding planner Nicole at Olivar events. Our photos and videos also came out so wonderfully. Orlando the photographer and videographer (sorry forgot his name) made me feel like a queen and really helped with their calm vibes since I was anxious before the ceremony. I even asked for more footage now a year later and they obliged. They are awesome! I had a lot of stress leading up to the wedding including my original dress being ruined one month before and family drama. The whole team were literal angels in helping me navigate all of this and I'm actually really glad I wore my second dress because it was a warm June wedding and my second dress was much lighter and went better with our vintage theme! I believe everything works out for a reason in according to God's plan. I have never felt so happy and so loved as on my wedding day by my husband, family and friends, and our friends at the Christmas House. I would truly give the Christmas House 4.8 stars and only change two things about the wedding: I will say the food was delicious, and our cake that was included from Cucamonga Cakery was pretty and delicious. However, the only negative feedback we had from guests was that the plates of food were a little small. This may be a Spaggi's (their exclusive caterer for our sit down package) issue, and I would recommend it be closer to the tasting size. For myself, I would have slowed down getting ready and taken some more amazing photos around the bridal suite, the house's stained glass windows, and stairs, and I may still go back and do it as Carrie suggested! However, I am giving myself some grace as the wedding morning was very busy. Thank you, Christmas House for making me feel the most beautiful I have ever felt, and for celebrating our love with us on our very special day. It was a dream come true, and we will be back to visit soon! Love, Ty and Dorothy

The toilet was loose and wobbled every time we used it, and the shower handle was also loose and moved around when adjusting the water temperature. The complimentary breakfast was a simple American-style breakfast with a few hot items, which was convenient but nothing particularly special. Overall, the hotel has great potential because it's clean and well maintained in general, but the maintenance issues in our room definitely affected our experience. Hopefully, management will address these problems soon, as this could easily be a 4 star stay with better attention to detail.
