Super nice place! Quiet and cozy! The rooms are very nice and spacious and come with a microwave and fridge :) The people running it are very friendly and helpful too, we called them at 10 pm to check on our fireplace and they came and fixed it in a matter a minute! I highly recommend this place if you want a quiet little retreat to relax and unwind

Do you need an escape from the daily hustle and bustle? Do you need the serenity of the mountains but aren't ready to be like Reese Witherspoon and trek the 2,650 miles of the PCT? Bay Meadows Resort in Big Bear Lake is perfect for a peaceful getaway. Here are the highlights: - Dog Friendly Rooms! - Walking distance to the lake - In room fireplace - 10 min drive to the chair lifts - comfy beds - hot showers - jacuzzi on site we came up in March, there was a little snow on the ground during one of our elevated hikes, but we found this to be the perfect spot to take our dog to the mountains without any hassle. the rooms were clean and just the right amount of space for the 3 of us. It didn't feel like one of those run down places that get destroyed in the winter from all of the snow, salt, and dirt that get carried in from guests. I left our trip feeling more relaxed than when I got there, which was perfect. I'll definitely check this location's availability first during my next visit!

Highly recommend this resort! Near the Village and lake. Pet friendly. Seems family owned and they were very nice.

Valentine's day weekend we decided to come to Big Bear. We booked through Expedia since I had some points to use. We had such an awesome stay here. The resort is super close to everything. The staff at this placed rocked! They were friendly and very helpful even with our 120 pound German Shepherd. They let us use a brand new can opener when we happened to mention we needed to get one. The resort itself is an adorable, peaceful and well kept resort with cabins ranging from studios to two floor cabins. The resort has benches, little bridges, swings, fire pits, pools/jacuzzis and bbq grills and even a tether ball lol in case you bring a big group and want to stay in. The cabin was spacious, very clean and cozy. Even though the weather outside reached some pretty cold temperatures we didn't even notice till the next morning that cars were frozen. Each Cabin has its own parking next the cabin. The lake is so close by that you can take a short relaxing walk to it. I always appreciate places that are well kept, have awesome customer service and treat any of my fur babies with love! I will definitely keep this place in mind if I ever do come back to Big Bear. *That snowman did not stand a chance :)

Paid for the nicest suite/room, if you leave any dishes at all you will receive a $100 fine. I was scared to forget 1 spoon and be charged

Staff would not return calls or messages (I called about 2 dozen times the week leading up to my stay and never once received an answer). Staff Informed me I could check in at 11, but when I showed up at 11 it appeared I woke someone up in the office and he was very rude and told me I couldn't check in. I showed him the email saying I could check in at 11 and he just told me to leave. I then continued to call and email since I made plans around the 11 check in, eventually I got a response saying I could come back in an hour. I waited in the parking lot the entire time, no one working there went near the room I was staying in so clearly the room was ready, but they didn't want to check me in. I reserved the most expensive suite and I was surprised at the note on the fridge saying that " All trash and dishes must be done or I will receive a $100 charge". This is insane to have guest have to take out any trash when they are already paying for a room. I don't believe in leaving a room messy, but charging guest $100 if they leave in trash in the trash cans is ABSURD!

WHAT AN AMAZING OASIS! FURNISHED COZY COTTAGE, CLEAN and SAFE PROPERTY, FRIENDLY STAFF, WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR? This was a perfect place for a getaway for my husband, myself and our two fur babies. Online booking was easy with no secret fees. Staff was hospitable upon arrival and for the duration of our stay. Super quiet and clean ground. There is plenty of benches, grills, firepits, gazebo, and pool to enjoy if you stay on property. The cottage itself was just perfect! High ceilings which gives an open feel, newly updated appliances and furniture. Loved that the place is fully furnished so you literally just show up with your personal items and can stock up at the little grocery store in the area. They even had salt and pepper shakers and coffee in the room. We felt completely safe as we saw there is plenty of surveillance in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will back back for another getaway !

This place is fantastic. We would recommend this location for a visit to anyone who asks. It is charming, romantic, clean, quiet and the bed, OMG... Amazing! The customer service is very good. Ulysses was extremely nice, accommodating and professional. His top priority is definitely customer service. We are looking forward to staying again sometime in the near future.

I traveled with my family and small dog. I picked this place because they are pet friendly and we wanted a cabin instead of a hotel. It did not disappoint! You get to park right next to your cabin which is super convenient, it's close to restaurants, stores and the city but you still get a great view. The grounds are super cute, management was very friendly and our cabin was super clean. Our cabin had a fireplace, wood floors in the living room, carpeted bedroom, futon couch, the kitchen has dishes, a coffee machine, microwave, fridge, stove and more. We will definitely stay here again next time.

I went on a ski trip with my husband, Jackie A. and her husband and another couple this past weekend. We chose this place because of the reviews on Yelp but when I went to the website, the rooms and the photos stated for itself that this place is nice. This was perfect for 3 couples, so we all agreed on a cabin and it was booked. We checked in here after a day of skiing and got to relaxing. It wasn't a far drive from Snow Summit and when we arrived, it wasn't a bad location at all and rather easy to find. We got 107 and it's 1 bedroom downstairs and an upstairs bedroom with 2 beds, as well as a full kitchen and a bathroom. The place was very cozy, yet modern and had a cabin feel to it and a nice fireplace you noticed right away when you walk in. It was cute and it near everything, including little restaurants, shops, etc. When we first checked in and got to relaxing, we got a phone call from the front office asking if we needed anything. I think that was really nice and had a personal touch to the whole experience. The bathroom was nice and the shower was a little confusing with the hot water being labeled cold, but we figured it out fast. The place is very accurate to what you see on the website and even though we only stayed a night, I thought this was a great deal, splitting the cost between 3 couples, this wasn't a bad price at all! I would definitely come back here if I'm ever in Big Bear again.

We rented cabin 125 for the weekend, and it was exactly what I expected. When it comes to accommodations, I look for a bed with white sheets and a white comforter. Otherwise, how will I know that the sheets are clean? I scoured Yelp for an affordable cabin that had white sheets and a white comforter, and Bay Meadows was one of the few that offered both items. When we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly female and male. They were both very helpful and gave us a map of Big Bear Lake and told us about all the big events happening that weekend. We had no idea that there was an Oktoberfest festival, so we were very grateful that the manager was knowledgeable about local events. There's a swimming pool and sauna at the resort; however, I didn't use either one so I can't comment on the quality of the experience. There are several grills and picnic areas on the property, so feel free to bring your own food for a BBQ! P.S. They have Tom's toothpaste! Gentle on your teeth and your gums!

Stayed here, this past weekend - Saturday night - in Cabin 124. For the most part, I really enjoyed this place. The staff was very nice, and they call in the early evening to do a check to ask if there is anything you need. Staying here in the "off season", AKA not Winter, it was a bit warm. The cabin was mostly clean, there were a few things on the floor I stepped on after taking off my shoes, and there were quite a few bugs on the top of the windows in the kitchen... that I never would have noticed but due to the weather, I wanted all of the windows open - to get some air in the place. This cabin has a wood burning fireplace, that we used, even though it was warm. There is a refrigerator, however it was turned all the way down... so anything we put it there didnt really get cold for a while. We had neighbors in all three cabins that were part of this four cabin building. They were all quiet, which was nice. This cabin is across from the pool as well. Made me wish I had a bathing suit with me. In the evening, I noticed some ants in the kitchen - we did not have any food out, so that was a bummer... and there was no bug spray. I guess I will just list some Pros and Cons for Unit 124: Pros: Cozy place for two (Maybe too crowded with 2 children as they suggest) Cute little deck out back Quiet Woodburning Fireplace Very friendly staff Fridge / Microwave / Hairdryer / Toaster / Coffee Maker Cons: One side of the sofa is missing the cushioning in the back part, so its awkward to sit on one side of the small couch. Very warm in the Summer - no fans in the bedroom Even with all windows open there is no cross breeze No bug spray for the ants we had Bathroom window was broken, and would not prop open I would stay here again, just possibly a different cabin, and if its during Summer, I will bring a fan for sure.

Then we parked and the check in area was locked so we started to panic but luckily someone came right away. The maps given for directions were poor but that was the end of the bad. The room was amazing! It was huge and beautifully decorated. They also had cute costumes in the room for you to use to dress up and take pictures. The room was very well cleaned and this is greatly appreciated, especially since the room was large and had a running water feature. Can't wait to come back and stay in another room.

Downstairs you pass a little drawbridge with a "moat" (with water!) to a dining area with long table where the kitchenette area is, replete with ice machine, Brita pitcher, sink, mini fridge, microwave, keurig and a restroom. Upstairs is the bedroom, with a gargoyle overlooking and statue of king and queen. Some of the lights and sconces are broken or missing, the knight no longer works. We were tripping out hard when I flipped the switches by the swing and the blue lights and moat began spewing water down fountain by the kitchen. This was amazing. I was literally jumping up and down when we entered the place. I am so impressed by how cool this place is, even with the things over time that have fallen into disrepair the detail overall is nothing short of impressive. Not sure how anyone can complain about something like this. The shower head has a rainfall head, the stones in the shower, to the shape of the mirror, it was all intentional. I saw nothing "icky" in selecting the specific stone-like accoutrements to complement the theme. There's a tv in the bedroom but why would you even wanna watch tv in a castle garden? COME ON! Loved the vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, flickering lights, ambiance - we put on Celtic music and enjoyed the peace away from the city. This isnt even our first day here I just couldn't wait to update my review. I happened to get his and her house slippers as one of the anniversary gifts for my bf and it worked out perfectly to grace our castle floors. Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed my stay and I'm going to give you the good, the bad and the between as I saw it…read more There was a lot to really enjoy but the best was the jacuzzi inside the room. It was huge and the water was always super hot and the shower was hot right when I got out of the tub. A little soap goes a very long way with bubbles, proceed with caution. The room and the spa were very clean, there was a sticker on the door with the name of the person and the date that our room was sanitized which was reassuring to me. Once inside it smelled clean and everything looked clean. I did take a bottle of Odoban and did a once over but it was during COVID paranoia. Whenever I stay anywhere I strip the bed and put on my own sheets and blanket but when tearing the bed apart our white linens were very white and clean. I read reviews about a rouge hair or two and myself having very long dark hair I find it silly that it would be a huge deal, even in the most immaculate environment one is bound to pop up, trust me, I know but I understand with COVID everyone needs to be on top of their game with cleanliness. I found the location to be really convenient, it was close to everything we wanted to do. We had several exchanges with the owner, we checked in after midnight and she was friendly and professional. Since we were both working remotely due to COVID we decided we wouod like to stay another night if they could accommodate us and she was very courteous and made the process easy and that extra night actually turned into 3 extra nights! I suppose one could find the rooms dated, I personally felt like they were cute and cozy and felt cabin like,I didn't mind the decor at all. We stayed in cabin 16, I was able to scope out 17 and has been updated recently and is more modern. They both cost the same so I would probably go with 17 it's really the best bang for your buck. Finding our cabin at night was fairly difficult if you are able to check in during the day I would definitely say do that. We eventually found our cabin, they all look the same and aren't marked terribly well. The parking is a bit tight I came straight from buying a new fairly expensive car so I had to park a few different times until I was satisfied I would avoid a door ding but that was probably new car paranoia and if you don't arrive after midnight like a dummy you'll probably have a better chance at choice parking. Once in the cabin I saw there was one of those QR codes on the wall for you to scan and when you do they offer a coupon code that can't be applied retroactively of course so I was kinda bummed by that because it only required a 3 day stay to receive the discount and we stayed over twice that long so perhaps it could have been offered. I found it online as well so before you book look online for coupon codes because they're available. I found booking straight from their website was less expensive than Expedia and the other travel sites. For the price I think this place is unbeatable. Just when you thought I was going to shut up I pop back up... I forgot to mention that one night a family checked into one of the family cabins and they were out until after 10 pm and they were loud eventually I called Cathy at the number she provides for you to call if you need anything and within 5 minutes she had sent someone to take care of the issue. I'm not sure if any of the cabins are pet friendly but I know that the one we stayed in was not and that was really the biggest issue we had. I have a 4 pound Yorkie with separation anxiety and he's grown quite accustomed to going everywhere with me so we had to hire a pet sitter and I really missed my Lil guy! I wish they allowed pets of a certain size with a deposit. Other than that I can't wait until it's time to go back. We went in the last week of April for my birthday and the weather was perfect. Not too cold but you still definitely get that mountain experience and since it's the off season everything is very affordable. Remember to look for that coupon code online and to book through their direct website and the price is unreal.

It feels as though a chic, mid-century modern salon collided beautifully with a high-toned, rustic American West outpost. The architecture honors the soaring terrain of Big Bear, using clean, geometric lines that trace the slope of the mountains, while the interior hums with a quiet, bespoke luxury. Smooth, high-end finishes--polished walnut and rich leathers--marry flawlessly with the coarse honesty of native stone. The crown jewel of this alpine sanctuary is its sublime wellness experience, an immaculate haven for the body and spirit. Here, the contrast therapy is poetic magic. You can purge the high-altitude chill in the deep, enveloping heat of the saunas, or melt into the bubbling, starry embrace of the outdoor hot tub. For the ultimate awakening, the shock of the pristine cold plunge cuts through fatigue like mountain air, shocking the senses into absolute, vibrant life. Steps away, the sparkling pool acts as a gateway to the elements. For those who hear the siren call of open water, the seamless transition from resort luxury to an open swim across the vast, pristine lake is utterly liberating. Through it all, the views are a visual symphony--the lake stretching out like hammered silver, cradled by a dark fortress of pines. The staff embodies the very spirit of the altitude: completely chill, attentive, and entirely devoid of pretension. From the crackle of the lakeside fire pits to the curated aesthetics, the vibes are flawless, offering an elevated, restorative sanctuary in the sky.

Our cabin and our friends cabin we're both up against the cabin housekeeping must do laundry and the front porch had bags of garbage stacked on the front porch up into the ceiling so we felt like we were living in a garbage dump. There were no towels by the pool despite requesting twice. This didn't just happen one day this happened all three days that we were there. The cushions on the pool seats were disgusting and they felt too dirty to sit on. Housekeeping was sparse and as of this writing at 4:30, I had to request, they still make up the room. Tonight they're hosting a holiday event and as hotel guests, we will not have access to the restaurant or facilities unless we pay an additional $280. This is an overpriced motel six with very kind staff.
