Our mini vacation was Amazing! Our room was charming, comfortable, and well stocked. The lobby had everything we needed for snacks morning delights and coffee and even a movie library for our room if we wished. It was located just across the street from the lake and village where we spent most of our time. The view from the resort is breathtaking and so relaxing! It was just what we needed! Was a bit concerned based on the reviews but it looks like the unit we stayed at, "Little Petite" had recently remodeled. This rating is based on the price point this cabin type facility is compared against not your city hotels. Unit was clean, sheets clean no excessive wear, quaint stylish molding around the floor and ceiling. Kitchen nook was basic essential: clean sink, good working fixtures, no utensils, heavy duty paper towels, double ply Kleenex, floors laminate appeared to be installed 1-2 years ago. There is as a large window size A/C unit which they vented through a wall and neatly duct-taped to close off the wall hole. The finishing of the furnace and older dry wall was a little rough but acceptable. Close to Lake Arrowhead city center, was walkable but you do need to walk along the road without sidewalks so we brought a flashlight for safety in the evening. Jennifer the checkin staff was very friendly and warm. There was a bunch of snacks: Lays Chips, trail mix bar, cans of Coke, popcorn of can microwave in the room, selection of DVDs to borrow, your basic Best Western cereal dispenser, Thomas muffins, peanut butter and Jam family size container. Pleasantly surprised there was a healthier option which I had, fresh strawberries and blackberries and family size Naked juice, and yogurt w only 2 grams sugar. The room had the mini k-cup Peet/Starbucks coffee. For Tv options, you do need to register your personal streaming service with the room AppleTV device. Being in the mountains there was 2-3 bars for WiFi. I heard one unit had ants but ours didn't. Will be back. read more

Checked in today, air conditioning not working, lady asks us to bring up another one. Just duct tapes it to new unit and it doesn't fit. Leaves and says oh it'll cool down tonight just leave the windows open. Get back to our room duct tape hose is off and the room is hotter now since hot air was blowing out. I call to ask for help she says there's nothing she can do other than give more duct tape. I also mentioned the tv doesn't work and she said is everything plugged in? As if it's my job to check, again everything is plugged in.. Then says well will you be staying in your room all night as I'm suppose to stay out all night so the room will be cooler at night with the windows open! My husband and I spent Valentine's weekend at Arrowhead Lake Inn. Our room was so small that we had no room for our two small weekend suitcases. The shower handle was broken off so we could not shower, and the television did not work properly. The best thing about the room was the view, although we had paid for a room with a balcony but did not have a balcony. The manager of the property was very nice which is the best thing I can say about the inn. read more

I believe everything was recently remodeled, the furniture and decor seems to be updated from what they have displayed on their website. Gale was extremely accommodating, the room was very clean, the decor is so cute, my pup was able to join me, and there is continental breakfast served daily (cereal, snacks, bagels, coffee, tea.) I was here for an evening for my mother's birthday weekend. My sister got a room for her and mom. I got a room for me. The Inn has a wonderful view of Lake Arrowhead. There is plenty of free parking. This is an older place and is very much not like a chain. It is quaint and the rooms are very B and B. The rooms have themes and are furnished with old school furniture. They have there own bathrooms. The Inn has not been truly upgraded in a long time. But that's ok. They've put small flat screen tvs, a mini-fridge, a mini-coffee maker (make sure to use both coffee packets for the full mini-pot), wine glasses, and a wine opener. My room did not have a built-in heater. But the electric heater was fine. My mom's room has a cool heater/fireplace built into the wall, which was cool. The view from my room was really great, simply beautiful. The best part is the lobby, which is more like a cozy living room, with chairs and a couch surrounding a nice large fireplace. My aunt, cousin, sister, and mother all sat around the fireplace enjoying a bottle of wine. There are snacks all around the lobby. The fridge in there has water and sodas, all complimentary. There is a bowl of fresh fruit. There's a tiered tower of pre-packaged pastries for the breakfast. Very homey and pretty comfortable. The woman who staffed the front desk was really nice. This place is relatively inexpensive for this area. But they deliver a great deal for their price point. It's not 5-star when compared to high end resorts. We were in town for a wedding so we only stayed one night. Our room was cozy and quaint. Parking was very limited, so I'm glad we only brought one car. I think most of their parking lot was still buried underneath all the snow. There were snacks, water, and sodas available to us, which we did help ourselves to. There was also breakfast in the morning but we missed that, so I can't say what was offered. It was conveniently located by Lake Arrowhead Village, where there are many options to eat. I highly recommend stopping by the Belgian Waffle Works if you have the time. I'd stay here again if I'm in town. read more

If you want an old outdated place to stay near the lake where you can hear every other rooms plumbing and footsteps this is the place for you! Rooms are grubby, dusty and old, oh and if you like crooked curtain rods falling off the wall, dusty baseboards and tired old mismatched linens boy you'll never want to leave. As I sit here writing this review I hear the lovely sounds of the sink above me and the relaxing sounds of stomping footsteps lulling me to sleep... ah what a Great Lake getaway! I'm sure the mountain air, I mean scent of cheap air fresheners, will enhance my forest retreat. Oh I forgot to mention the bed is super squeaky, like you're sleeping on an air mattress, if you or your partner toss and turn the whole room will feel and hear it. Bonus! This place is supposedly 3.5-4 stars, I'd say 2.5-3 if that. My boyfriend is in denial about how much "post pandemic" hotel costs are, he thinks paying $150-200 a night should be an 4 star experience. Sadly No. $150 a night gets you a shitty old dirty room at a tired inn in multiple cities in SoCAL. A deep clean and some updated linens would make a world of a difference here. Hey Arrowhead Inn! For $70 you can get premium Egyptian cotton 600 thread count linen set at Costco... that's less than half the cost of my stay tonight. For another $50 a new quilt or comforter from TJMaxx, and there's still $30 left over for some cleaning supplies and new rags to wipe the baseboards, floor and shelves with. My advice is take your boyfriend's phone from him before he books the Arrowhead Lake Inn and find something better, this is not a place to enjoy but a place to avoid. read more

GF took me here for Fathers Day. Big mistake. Place is old, rundown and very poorly managed. Too bad because it could be a true charm with proper management. Vibe is what was expected in the 1950s and 60s. Sheets and towels are all old, mismatched and have exceeded their expected lifetimes by a couple of decades. Maids did not make up room despite request sign that we hung on door. We watched as they made up all other rooms which were vacant on our second night which was a Sunday after the place had cleared out. They call themselves a B & B but that's really quite a stretch! You need to go to office area which is never staffed or restocked. Bottled water came in tiny little bottles which had about one sip inside. Everything about this place screams out cheap, cheap, cheap! All in all not a good experience and for sure we would never return. read more

We absolutely loved this inn. Hermine, was very nice and welcoming... she allowed us to check in earlier than check in time. We rented the romantique room and it was great. It was very spacious and very private. It was cozy, like visiting grandmas house old antique decor. It consisted of a large bathroom, kitchen (no stove or sink) hall area with a futon, small bedroom with a child size bed and large bedroom area with a king size bed and a cute balcony with a small table and 2 chairs (very romantic). The views that we had were amazing, looked out to arrowhead lake. The main lobby has a kitchen area, it is fully stocked with food ( bread, eggs, milk, etc), snacks( cookie, popcorn, etc), drinks ( water, soda, juice, etc)... you are welcomed to the food and kitchen. You can cook for yourself and are asked not to wash the dishes because "we don't want you working on your vacations"... they have a designated dirty dishes tray. You can also go play video games in the lobby or watch tv or just hang out. You can also borrow movies, bord games to take to your room. Now in all sincerity, we truly were limited on our choices due to a holiday weekend. This establishment allowed one night and the location and price point met our needs. Pleasantly surprised after reading reviews. * great location and woman on sight was very sweet. Did have to call upon arrival but that's par for the course with boutique hotels. * room was extremely clean, fully stocked with all things needed in a hotel; microwave, coffee maker and frig and quite charming clean decor along with No nasty carpeting * definitely would stay again and highly recommend. Downside but manageable. * extremely steep driveway and stairs. Property is on a hill. * parking limited but enough room to park your car. Plan to walk up up up no matter what level you park. * bed was uncomfortable but one night t wasn't a game changer. Again, don't pass it up especially if you want a clean, well kept place. Where to Start? Booked the Romantique Suite a year in advance, asked about bringing our tiny bird Charlie (a Parrotlet) and were told he was welcome. No mention of an extra charge. Called about a month before arriving to confirm the reservation, again asked about Charlie. Again, no problem, no mention of a charge. We got a call early in the day or our arrival and were told out room was ready! Great news, so we did show up a bit early. The room was EXTREMELY hot, well over 90 degrees. The person who took us to the room apologized and turned on the air conditioner. We opened all windows and turned on both large fans trying to cool the room down. The ceiling fan over the king sized bed has been disconnected. The room did not cool down. Turns out the air conditioner, a free-standing unit, was not vented to the outside, in fact the wall-mounted vent to the outside had been duct-taped over! The A/C unit pumped out cold air from the front vent but pumped out an equal amount of hot air into the room from the back vent. The microwave door was trashed, broken, not safe for operation. The room was not clean, heavy old dust on many surfaces. The bed sheets smelled sour. The balcony has a table and two chairs. The table had not been cleaned for a long time. The baseboards are long overdue for caulking, paint and cleaning. We talked to the manager, she said they were intending to correct the A/C, and replace the broken M/W. Later, she offered to move us to a room with a good M/W and a functioning A/C. We moved into the adjacent, smaller room. The A/C was ducted to the exterior and had a towel rolled up under and in front of it. It did work and cooled the room down, however, I wound up turning it off after discovering a small lake that had formed on the floor in front of it. Took two bath towels to capture the pond. This room was also not clean. A 4" long mat of cat hair stuck to my foot as I was getting into bed, wound up on the bed, yuk. The sink was missing a drain plug, the tiny refrigerator actually froze solid everything we put in it. Same disgusting baseboards, a rough hole in the bath door where someone had torn off a robe hook. The floor lamp lampshade is hanging loose. This room also had a balcony, but the chairs have lost their spring and when you lean back, they just keep going, very uncomfortable. The bedroom window used to have window shade, it is missing but the brackets are still there. The exterior staircase to these two rooms is unsafe. The top step is out of code, is taller than all of the steps leading up to it. This caused my wife to trip. The entire staircase is in need of repair, is leaning, looking stressed. The paint is literally falling off the exterior. When we checked out, I asked if they intended to make an adjustment to our bill due to all of the hassle with the heat, changing rooms, numerous problems with both rooms and the lower rate on the room we moved into. I was told they would look into it, but probably not because they had tried so hard to accommodate us. I pointed out some of the problems and was told we should appreciate what the Arrowhead Lake Inn offered and that there are people in Mexico that don't even have running water or toilets. HUH? I gave up and left. I called two days later to see if they had decided to make an adjustment to our bill. I was told that I had brought a pet and had not told her about it and there is a $25 charge, so no adjustment would be made. I explained my two conversations about bringing Charlie and that a charge was never mentioned (there is nothing on the web site about a charge for pets). I asked about the difference in the rate between the two rooms and was told there would be no adjustment made. Something is very wrong with this business, look elsewhere. read more

We booked on booking.com. Needed to cancel by January 21 for a January 27 stay. I cancelled on January 20, and received an email from booking.com that my cancellation was within the time frame and I would receive my refund. Well three weeks later and still nothing, despite several interactions with the inn and booking.com. Gayle at the front desk is very nice, I understand her hands are tied. She said she has put the request in for the refund, I've emailed the inn, and booking.com has contacted them. According to Gayle, they require a two week cancellation notice and booking.com doesn't, but let's face it. This is just a lame excuse for not refunding my money. Don't book here unless you are certain you will be staying, or if you don't mind losing the money you have paid upfront. read more

We had a beautiful lake view and the service we received from the manager, Lynn, was exceptional. She is very friendly and hospitable and wanted to make sure that we had everything we needed. She surprised us by knocking on our door and gifting us a bottle of wine for the evening. We booked a two night stay at this Inn. The next morning loud banging and a heavy load of roofing debris started falling all around the room. My daughter had been sitting on the balcony and just got inside when the entire table, balcony and chairs were covered in roofing debris. A roofing crew was removing the roof and I overheard the Spanish speaking workers say they did not know anyone was in the room so they weren't being careful. My son and I called and asked Lynn to come to the room. The stairway had to be cleared for me to get up to the room. Lynn came and looked at the debris and after discussing how unsafe this was plus not being told beforehand or upon check in that this was going to happen, she agreed to return one night's cost. After many weeks and no refund I called and Lynn said the owner (Ankic Panwar in Texas) wanted request in writing. I sent pictures as well as request. Over many weeks I sent 3 more requests and got no response. I called Lynn and she said the owners were not refunding the one night charge because we had been told before booking about the new roof being put on. That was not so and a blatant lie. Guess she was not willing to tell the truth to her boss and that she had agreed to return one night cost of room. Guess she also lost her moral compass, then refused to discuss the matter and hung up. Worst customer service I have ever encounter! We would have booked at another place if we had known the entire roof overhead was being replaced during our stay. The room had a heavy musty odor that some one tried to cover up with a sickening floral spray. Had to get a fresh pillow from my car to be able to sleep. The room is almost all fabric and there is no way this place can be cleaned properly during covid pandemic. The second bed in the room still had the dirty sheets from prior hotel guest. GROSS! Even without the refund we would NEVER stay at this inn again. Please chose another place to stay if you want a safe clean place to stay that doesn't smell so bad. Lots of positives. A very good value and clean as could be. A short walk from the village but a gnarly crossing to get there. Breakfast is self serve. They do not even make a pot of coffee! There is juice and snacks available 24/7. Plenty of movies to watch in the common room or in bed. Microwave Popcorn no extra charge. The service was spot on. We were met at the door and shown our rooms and given a tour. The rooms are small and dark, with individual heaters that function well. There was one chair that was in the way wherever we put it. We made coffee in the room but it was not easy. There is ample parking on the property. It is not a non-smoking property, there is a patio complete with smokers. read more

I accidentally messed up on our reservations as the travel site we used to booked, "predictively" changed our the dates to I assume bate and switch. Either way, the Inn was incredible! They worked with us to accommodate and made sure we weren't left out in the (literal) cold. They did anything and everything to make sure to help us, and they succeeded. Incredibly thankful and impressed by their commitment to provide us with accommodations. We loved our stay so much that we extended our dates and despite the fact that the rates were higher for our additional nights, they cared enough to honor our original online price. With that, their communication was on par (!) and more than appreciated. Our worries were eliminated by their patients, texts and referrals to help us maneuver our way through gorgeous arrowhead. My husband and I decided to stay at the Arrowhead Lake Inn based on the great reviews. I don't know if there are new owners or what, but we had a different experience. The woman at the front desk (don't know if it was the owner) was very personable and showed us to our room, the Blue Boy. When we got to our landing, she told us to be careful as it was slippery. The ice was never cleared away and we had to walk carefully over it every time we passed. The room was quaint but very dated and dark. Old looking, mismatched throw rugs were all around. The balcony had a nice view of the lake but there was a chair with cushions so worn and ripped, you could see the foam pad. Why not just throw them out? I think this could be a lovely inn with a little updating and TLC. Thankfully we only stayed one night. read more

A very cute Inn with 9 rooms and excellent location. It's just right across the Lake Arrowhead village. Just need to cross a main street and you will arrive at the Upper level of the village. Outside the lobby has a deck area with lake view. You can grab your dinner and sit at the patio to enjoy the serenity if the area or enjoy morning coffee even your room doesn't have a patio. Our first time at the Lake Arrowhead and will book here again for our next visit. We stay at the La Petite room. A bit small but included a small kitchenette. The lobby also has a snack area and breakfast area for grab and go. Will definitely visit again read more

Great first impression from the front desk! We stayed over on a Sunday night. Ruth greeted us and got us signed in and set up quickly. I asked if they have bottled water for sale, and she pointed me to the complimentary water bottles and snacks. Their satelite tv only offers a very basic plan, so bring a fire stick or borrow a movie from their dvd library. We stayed in the Rose Garden room. It was nice but small. Nice sized bathroom. I would have no problem staying here again, but I will select one of the larger rooms with a balcony. read more

My son was injured at the near by childrens camp and I had to take him to the mountain ER. At 11pm when we were discharged, it was then unsafe to drive down due to the first snow and 2 wheel drive. Yikes. I called for an overnight place to stay and Lynn (manager) was very helpful and wonderful considering our day and went out of her way to help us walk and navigate out of the ice in the driveway. read more

Okay, here's the deal...this place isn't terrible, but it is very old and in need of some maintenance and spiffing up for lack of a better term. Pros: The outside is very charming. The location is perfection. The staff are very kind and welcoming. (I'd give 10 stars for the staff if I could) the suite was so quirky with shape of the room, my kiddo loved it! Cons: Parking is a little sparse. Space heaters just don't do the trick on very cold nights, I almost froze my first night. The rooms are very outdated making them look a bit more dirty than they are. With that said, the rooms aren't very clean. I pulled the futon out a couple inches from the wall to see if my hat had fallen in the crack, and was shocked to find a bunch of kids toys that had accumulated behind the bed. This tells me that the blankets and sheets are not changed regularly on the futon because you would need to pull it out in order to change the sheets. The sheets on the main bed were clean, but holy cow it was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. We tossed and turned the entire night and came home with really sore backs. The rooms could use some renovation and a nice paint job. Overall, for the price we paid it all worked out. I'd stay here every single time if they were able to update some things like the beds, slap a coat of paint on, and maybe just update a couple things. The real show stopper here is the staff and they deserve such a huge shout out. read more

Arrowhead Lake Inn. . . If you ever have a chance to stay here, I highly recommend it. Every room is decorated very cute. The owner is very accommodating and she immediately makes you feel as if you are a guest in her own home. They also have a help yourself breakfast in the morning with pastries, juice and cereal. This will be my second time staying here. Be mindful that not all rooms have air conditioning. Not needed really most of the time but I am glad I booked a room that did have it for this weekend. The lake view is outstanding and only a very small walk to the Village. Like 1 minute. Lastly the price is extremely reasonable especially if you book early. This is our second time staying here. We absolutely love it!!! It has a beautiful view and right across from the village!!! It's so gorgeous and comfy. The staff is so nice and welcoming. The t.v.s have a DVD player and lots of DVDs to choose from in the lobby. They provide popcorn, chocolate, chips and other goodies. The Romantique is big. Extra little bed and a couch if you had a few you wanted to bring along. We loved the love letter room last year. We will definitely be coming back every year to celebrate!!! read more

The owners and staff should be ashamed of themselves for renting rooms out that are completely filthy!!! I had made reservations for the Blue Boy room for 3/14/22-3/16/22 as a surprise for my husbands birthday. First we arrived around 2:35ish and there wasn't anyone to check us in. I had to call multiple numbers to get ahold of someone who then had told me someone would call me back to walk me through checking myself in. A lady called back and walked me through getting to our room and to a key box to get our key. Then she instructed me to send a picture of my id to check me in over the phone. While that was already a red flag I chose to let it go. But then we got into our room...and it was absolutely disgusting! Pubic hairs in the bath tub and hair in the sink. Hair and pee on both sides of the toilet and on top near the seat. Thick layers of dust on the blinds, behind the tv, on the fan, and other areas of the room. Floor hadn't been vacuumed and drinking glasses in the room were filthy. I could go into further detail but the pictures speak for the filth level of this place. I was completely mortified and embarrassed for surprising my husband with a disgusting room like that. I went downstairs to let myself in to the lobby which is what they have you do. I assumed the person who was on a break when we arrived would be back by then but nope I was forced to call the man back to tell him about the situation. I'm starting to wonder if they actually have people working on the premises or not. So I proceeded to tell the man over the room about the conditions of the room and he didn't seem to care at all. He didn't apologize, he didn't seem bothered by it, and he argued with me. He kept trying to give me an upgrade and I declined over and over and said I just want my refund and that we were going somewhere else. He told me the room was just cleaned 2 days prior(yeah right take a look at the pictures) and that they previous tenants loved it. He then told me the fact that I was declining an upgrade would be "going on my report". He instructed me to send the pictures and complaint to the "management" email and they would take it from there. I emailed them 3/14/22 after we settled in to our new hotel and emailed them again 3/17/22 and haven't heard a word from them. I sent a text message to the man today and have not gotten a response from him either. I am so disappointed with this place and the lack of customer service they give. After speaking to locals on the mountain during our visit we found out we definitely aren't the first to complain about this place. We ended up driving past it multiple times during our stay as it is right by the village and it had "no vacancy" listed the whole time and no cars were there. So I don't know what's going on with this place but I will not stop until I get my money back from these awful people. DO NOT STAY HERE! read more
