Duct tape isn't holding and it's hot af!

Checked in today, air conditioning not working, lady asks us to bring up another one. Just duct tapes it to new unit and it doesn't fit. Leaves and says oh it'll cool down tonight just leave the windows open. Get back to our room duct tape hose is off and the room is hotter now since hot air was blowing out. I call to ask for help she says there's nothing she can do other than give more duct tape. I also mentioned the tv doesn't work and she said is everything plugged in? As if it's my job to check, again everything is plugged in.. Then says well will you be staying in your room all night as I'm suppose to stay out all night so the room will be cooler at night with the windows open! Paying $465 to stay 2 nights and it's miserably hot and no tv now. Also no hand soap in bathroom. Save yourself time and book another hotel!

Spent 2 weekends in a row for the Summer concert series at The Village. Less than a 5 min walk. I apologize for not remembering the wonderful woman's name that runs the Inn. She is so warm & friendly & feels like she really cares about your stay. A comfortable lounge full of snacks, drinks, fresh pastries, cereal and much more. And its all available 24/7. I have stayed here now 4 times & every time has been a very pleasant & relaxing time.

Stayed a couple nights here and I gotta say it was an amazing experience, Gale was so extremely kind, attentive and hospitable. She made she we had everything we needed and were comfortable! I think I found my go to stay when I visit lake arrowhead again!

I went here for my birthday and loved it! Gail was awesome and attentive during our stay. We loved the location (walking distance to thy village) and my husband enjoyed the free continental breakfast available all day. I appreciated the newly decorated roll and lobby. It was so nice. Highly recommend staying here! My dog loved it too!

I was here for an evening for my mother's birthday weekend. My sister got a room for her and mom. I got a room for me. The Inn has a wonderful view of Lake Arrowhead. There is plenty of free parking. This is an older place and is very much not like a chain. It is quaint and the rooms are very B and B. The rooms have themes and are furnished with old school furniture. They have there own bathrooms. The Inn has not been truly upgraded in a long time. But that's ok. They've put small flat screen tvs, a mini-fridge, a mini-coffee maker (make sure to use both coffee packets for the full mini-pot), wine glasses, and a wine opener. My room did not have a built-in heater. But the electric heater was fine. My mom's room has a cool heater/fireplace built into the wall, which was cool. The view from my room was really great, simply beautiful. The best part is the lobby, which is more like a cozy living room, with chairs and a couch surrounding a nice large fireplace. My aunt, cousin, sister, and mother all sat around the fireplace enjoying a bottle of wine. There are snacks all around the lobby. The fridge in there has water and sodas, all complimentary. There is a bowl of fresh fruit. There's a tiered tower of pre-packaged pastries for the breakfast. Very homey and pretty comfortable. The woman who staffed the front desk was really nice. This place is relatively inexpensive for this area. But they deliver a great deal for their price point. It's not 5-star when compared to high end resorts. But in its price niche, I couldn't have been happier.

There was rat droppings or mice droppings in all the corners on the floor everywhere and it was disgusting

If I could put less than one star I would! They charged $170 for this room there was rat droppings the floors were filthy The sheets were filthy there was hairs on the bed especially on the sheets they were dirty The bathroom was dirty The room was dirty the towels were mismatched and filthy I can't believe it and not only that we wanted our money back so that we could leave and they would not give us our money back we had only been there less than a half an hour and they accused us of putting the hair in the bed and we both have red hair

We were in town for a wedding so we only stayed one night. Our room was cozy and quaint. Parking was very limited, so I'm glad we only brought one car. I think most of their parking lot was still buried underneath all the snow. There were snacks, water, and sodas available to us, which we did help ourselves to. There was also breakfast in the morning but we missed that, so I can't say what was offered. It was conveniently located by Lake Arrowhead Village, where there are many options to eat. I highly recommend stopping by the Belgian Waffle Works if you have the time. I'd stay here again if I'm in town.

Dirty floor and baseboards around the bed

If you want an old outdated place to stay near the lake where you can hear every other rooms plumbing and footsteps this is the place for you! Rooms are grubby, dusty and old, oh and if you like crooked curtain rods falling off the wall, dusty baseboards and tired old mismatched linens boy you'll never want to leave. As I sit here writing this review I hear the lovely sounds of the sink above me and the relaxing sounds of stomping footsteps lulling me to sleep... ah what a Great Lake getaway! I'm sure the mountain air, I mean scent of cheap air fresheners, will enhance my forest retreat. Oh I forgot to mention the bed is super squeaky, like you're sleeping on an air mattress, if you or your partner toss and turn the whole room will feel and hear it. Bonus! This place is supposedly 3.5-4 stars, I'd say 2.5-3 if that. My boyfriend is in denial about how much "post pandemic" hotel costs are, he thinks paying $150-200 a night should be an 4 star experience. Sadly No. $150 a night gets you a shitty old dirty room at a tired inn in multiple cities in SoCAL. A deep clean and some updated linens would make a world of a difference here. Hey Arrowhead Inn! For $70 you can get premium Egyptian cotton 600 thread count linen set at Costco... that's less than half the cost of my stay tonight. For another $50 a new quilt or comforter from TJMaxx, and there's still $30 left over for some cleaning supplies and new rags to wipe the baseboards, floor and shelves with. My advice is take your boyfriend's phone from him before he books the Arrowhead Lake Inn and find something better, this is not a place to enjoy but a place to avoid.

We absolutely loved this inn. Hermine, was very nice and welcoming... she allowed us to check in earlier than check in time. We rented the romantique room and it was great. It was very spacious and very private. It was cozy, like visiting grandmas house old antique decor. It consisted of a large bathroom, kitchen (no stove or sink) hall area with a futon, small bedroom with a child size bed and large bedroom area with a king size bed and a cute balcony with a small table and 2 chairs (very romantic). The views that we had were amazing, looked out to arrowhead lake. The main lobby has a kitchen area, it is fully stocked with food ( bread, eggs, milk, etc), snacks( cookie, popcorn, etc), drinks ( water, soda, juice, etc)... you are welcomed to the food and kitchen. You can cook for yourself and are asked not to wash the dishes because "we don't want you working on your vacations"... they have a designated dirty dishes tray. You can also go play video games in the lobby or watch tv or just hang out. You can also borrow movies, bord games to take to your room. It honestly felt like visiting family, we will definitely be back!

This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed in my life . I travel quite a bit for work and pleasure and do not recommend Lake Arrowhead inn. The management is rude and the place is filthy . I don't think they have changed this place in 30 years and it is nothing like the pictures they post . Do yourself a favor and stay at the Saddleback Inn !

Where to Start? Booked the Romantique Suite a year in advance, asked about bringing our tiny bird Charlie (a Parrotlet) and were told he was welcome. No mention of an extra charge. Called about a month before arriving to confirm the reservation, again asked about Charlie. Again, no problem, no mention of a charge. We got a call early in the day or our arrival and were told out room was ready! Great news, so we did show up a bit early. The room was EXTREMELY hot, well over 90 degrees. The person who took us to the room apologized and turned on the air conditioner. We opened all windows and turned on both large fans trying to cool the room down. The ceiling fan over the king sized bed has been disconnected. The room did not cool down. Turns out the air conditioner, a free-standing unit, was not vented to the outside, in fact the wall-mounted vent to the outside had been duct-taped over! The A/C unit pumped out cold air from the front vent but pumped out an equal amount of hot air into the room from the back vent. The microwave door was trashed, broken, not safe for operation. The room was not clean, heavy old dust on many surfaces. The bed sheets smelled sour. The balcony has a table and two chairs. The table had not been cleaned for a long time. The baseboards are long overdue for caulking, paint and cleaning. We talked to the manager, she said they were intending to correct the A/C, and replace the broken M/W. Later, she offered to move us to a room with a good M/W and a functioning A/C. We moved into the adjacent, smaller room. The A/C was ducted to the exterior and had a towel rolled up under and in front of it. It did work and cooled the room down, however, I wound up turning it off after discovering a small lake that had formed on the floor in front of it. Took two bath towels to capture the pond. This room was also not clean. A 4" long mat of cat hair stuck to my foot as I was getting into bed, wound up on the bed, yuk. The sink was missing a drain plug, the tiny refrigerator actually froze solid everything we put in it. Same disgusting baseboards, a rough hole in the bath door where someone had torn off a robe hook. The floor lamp lampshade is hanging loose. This room also had a balcony, but the chairs have lost their spring and when you lean back, they just keep going, very uncomfortable. The bedroom window used to have window shade, it is missing but the brackets are still there. The exterior staircase to these two rooms is unsafe. The top step is out of code, is taller than all of the steps leading up to it. This caused my wife to trip. The entire staircase is in need of repair, is leaning, looking stressed. The paint is literally falling off the exterior. When we checked out, I asked if they intended to make an adjustment to our bill due to all of the hassle with the heat, changing rooms, numerous problems with both rooms and the lower rate on the room we moved into. I was told they would look into it, but probably not because they had tried so hard to accommodate us. I pointed out some of the problems and was told we should appreciate what the Arrowhead Lake Inn offered and that there are people in Mexico that don't even have running water or toilets. HUH? I gave up and left. I called two days later to see if they had decided to make an adjustment to our bill. I was told that I had brought a pet and had not told her about it and there is a $25 charge, so no adjustment would be made. I explained my two conversations about bringing Charlie and that a charge was never mentioned (there is nothing on the web site about a charge for pets). I asked about the difference in the rate between the two rooms and was told there would be no adjustment made. Something is very wrong with this business, look elsewhere.

We recently got married and decided to take our honeymoon at Lake Arrowhead and stayed at Arrowhead Lake Inn which was adorable. We had a beautiful lake view and the service we received from the manager, Lynn, was exceptional. She is very friendly and hospitable and wanted to make sure that we had everything we needed. She surprised us by knocking on our door and gifting us a bottle of wine for the evening. My best friend and her husband came with us and had their own room right next to us which was adorable as well. We will definitely be returning! Thank you Lynn for making us feel so taken care of and for providing us exceptional service! I highly recommend you check out this place. You will not be disappointed.

The balcony, table and chairs covered with roofing debris. Inn refused to refund one night's stay when we had to leave for a safer place.

I travel quite a bit for work which requires me to stay in hotels regularly. For how long this place has been around, I feel like the condition of the rooms and cleanliness is on par with most places that are getting to the point of needing those bigger renovations and updates. Hotels can only do so much in terms of piecemeal repairs and updates, and anything near water tends to get battered by the elements a little bit more than other places. I look forward to the dock repairs, so I can get back to catching bluegill, crappie, trout, and bass with my boy. A lot of great memories here. I hope to keep them coming.

They also have a really nice event / wedding venue on the property. We stayed in the Little House on the Pond cabin which shared a small man-made pond with 3 other cabins. (Side note: Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins isn't in Lake Arrowhead proper but about a 20 minute drive east on the 189 in the small township of Twin Peaks - which is a nice mountain town but it's a bit of a drive away from Lake Arrowhead) These cabins are really cute. They are rustic yet comfortable - the sofa & chairs are comfy but I wish the sofa was deeper. There are 2 full size beds in the 2 upstairs bedrooms and the beds are super comfy! The one we slept in had a down mattress pad which really upped the comfort. There was also a nice comforter. On the downside, I am tall and I barely fit lengthwise. My feet were on the bottom rail and my head was up against the headboard. Ample parking: our cabin had its own small driveway to park in. The party lights on the deck were really nice for sitting outside on the Adirondack chairs at night. It was also really nice to build a fire in the fireplace on a crisp night. We had a lantern with a dead battery and the maintenance guy came very fast to replace it. There are lots of dishes and cookware to make snacks & meals and they have lots of things you can check out from the office like smore sticks, french presses, orange juicer, veggie steamer, charcoal BBQ, chop sticks and much, much more. On the downside: One of the big reasons we got this cabin was to have a fireplace...and they charge you $10 for a bundle of wood, which is annoying considering how much we paid to stay here (including an $80 resort fee - that doesn't include a bundle of firewood!!?) Tip: We picked up a fire bundle at Grocery Outlet for $6 that was significantly bigger than the one they had sitting by our fireplace for sale. The other big reason we got this particular cabin (Little House on the Pond) was for the big claw tub and it was very disappointing! First of all, you want a claw tub so you can relax & soak in a deep tub, and this tub is not deep enough to stay submerged. When I filled it up and got in, the water drained out the overflow drain until the water that remained in the tub left me half out of the water. You really want to soak in these things and you better do it quick here! (Note: We mentioned this when we checked out and he said they would look into getting a water level extender to put over the drain or something) Also, their hot water heater isn't big enough to last till this tub is full enough to get in. It ran cold after a while and I had to stop filling and let the hot water build back up and do that a few times to have a reasonably warm full bath. The stairs in this cabin are a neck breaker (very steep), almost like a ladder. The bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. This could potentially be dangerous going to the bathroom in the middle of the night (or for anyone who has a challenge walking). They should at least put in some nightlights on the stairs so you can see them when it is dark. On the admin side, you have to wash all your dishes and take out your own garbage or be charged a $60 fee. I have never (even at lower priced hotels) been told to wash my own dishes and take out my garbage. I kinda get it if you have a big family with 8 or 10 people - I'm sure they've had lots of people leave it a total mess, but for 2 of us it was a bit annoying to pay what we did and have to clean up everything. I mean part of being on vacation is to have people wait on you and not have to worry about these things - especially for what I paid to stay here. Another thing, when we checked in we asked for pool towels and she got us a few but told us in the future we needed to bring our own pool towels...Then what are we paying such a high resort fee for!!? After all is said and done I am giving Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins 4 stars. Again, this place is cute, nice and very comfortable but with all the dings mentioned above, I can't give it 5 stars.

Both mine and my partner's drinks had this weird barbecue sauce flavor, which was odd! The lodge is a quick 20-minute (free) bus ride to the village, which is small but definitely worth a visit. :)

I would absolutely recommend staying here, cozy and quaint within walking distance to the village, our room was called Love Letter and had a gorgeous view of the lake, total of 9 rooms with ample parking gives you a feeling of staying at home rather than a hotel or Inn. Gail the manager, who has been there for only three months, was very nice and friendly and accepted us like family, they have their lobby filled with all sorts of snacks, coffee, tea, assorted fruits, fresh and delicious apples from the trees, chips, cereal and more, all open to the guests 24/7, she had even made homemade acorns with chocolate kiss on top, were delicious, all in all a great getaway, for sure a gem to be discovered.

The whole experience was great. Booking was super easy, pricing for the area was quite reasonable and then the actual space was super cute and fun. We stayed in the "Love Letter" room which had a fantastic view of the lake. The style was, as noted by previous reviewers, Victorian and beautifully done. We were greeted by Chris and given a tour of the spaces available to us which included a kitchenette stocked with snacks and goodies (midnight cereal, YES!), a wide selection of DVDs and board games. The room had a little fireplace, lounge room, large bathroom (no bathtub) and a super cozy bed. The ONLY thing that was less than perfect as that the blanket was a tiny stuffy smelling. We very much enjoyed this B&B. Be sure to check out the Belgian Waffle and the Village just across the way.

So, it was strange when this happened: After a really bad booking and check-in experience at Fleur De Lac European Inn, where the owner asked me to leave after wanting extra cash on top of existing booking, when I already paid via another booking website (**at check in, mind you)... walking in and talking with Karen, the owner/manager of 21 years, was a sweet relief from the chaotic energy from Fleur. Karen greeted me with respect, laughs, patience, and a room (#28) that was head and shoulders above anything Fleur was offering, and it was for a similar price. She and room 28 made me feel welcomed, and Karen made sure I had everything I needed, after a bad experience. I would go back just to talk with her, and her staff. Honorable mention is Michael, who was such a positive and humorous energy at the desk. The bartendress, forgive me for not catching her name, was wonderful and welcoming, as well. It's a shame they shut down the bar area around 9pm. It's a place you want to cozy up to, late into the night, and exchange stories well into the evening hours. I'll be back, and will stay there... hopefully sooner than later.

The last time that I was at Lake Arrowhead was during a 6th grade field trip, so I was curious to see how much the area had developed since then. The Saddleback Inn is located near Lake Arrowhead Village, which is a very short and convenient walking distance from the inn if you want to get out and explore. The Saddleback Inn is also adjacent to Diane's Saddleback Grill, a restaurant that is affiliated with the inn. Note: If you want to check in or out, the front desk is located inside the restaurant. Once you check in, you'll be directed to your reserved cottage, which individually stands apart from other cottages. I thought that was awesome because you get more privacy. There is also a 7-11 nearby if you want to grab snacks or drinks. Our cottage (#26) featured a King-sized bed, television, mini fridge, microwave, extra storage space, and a bathtub with jacuzzi jets. The Saddleback Inn is also pet-friendly, meaning both dogs AND cats are welcome to stay, considering that many lodging establishments don't really accept cats. We brought our cat with us during the trip, which she seemed to enjoy. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay at the Saddleback Inn and hope to return someday!

Here's the good: free parking. Now for the rest. Starting with security--or the lack of it. The only visible security was a guy in a security uniform wandering around the "bistro" during breakfast and staring at guests. Other than that, anyone can walk into the lobby, onto the patio, into the bar, up the elevators, and onto the guest floors. No key access is required anywhere. The Wi-Fi situation is also concerning. There's a guest network, but there are also several suspicious room-linked networks showing up. Whether they're legitimate or not, it certainly doesn't inspire confidence. The lobby bistro was disappointing. The food was bland, watery, and overcooked. When I ordered tea, it arrived in a teapot with a broken handle. Not exactly the level of hospitality you'd hope for. The elevator didn't inspire confidence either. The doors began opening before the elevator had fully stopped at the floor, which felt more alarming than convenient. The room itself was pretty janky. A decorative scarf tossed across the bed seemed to be doing a lot of heavy lifting in the design department. The bathroom sink was missing the drain cover, the bed squeaked and creaked with every movement, and the walls were paper thin. We could clearly hear the TV from the neighboring room. There's only a few tv stations and no streaming options. The second floor was noisy overall, with parking lot sounds carrying late into the night and starting up again early in the morning. If you're hoping for a good night's sleep, lower your expectations. The pool and spa area were equally disappointing. The hot tub had food and something dark floating on the surface, and children were using it unsupervised. The view from the pool isn't relaxing either--unless freeway signs are your idea of scenic. What bothered me most was how misleading the photos are. The pool looks lovely online. The room photos show bathrobes that don't actually exist. The food photos displayed throughout the hotel look appetizing and polished, while the actual meals that arrive bear little resemblance to what's advertised. Overall, the photos sell a completely different experience than the one you'll actually get. Aside from free parking, I struggled to find much to recommend here.
