I was worried when I saw a male hair stylist appointment( because I am afraid that I can not express perfectly how I want my hair done) but my experience turned out to be fabulous !! I am so glad that I have finally found a go-to stylist! Elyssa has been wonderful in helping me meet my color goals- I have naturally dark brown hair and have been getting balayage and foils to lighten to a white blonde. That's not easy!! But Elyssa is a straight up expert and I am amazed by what she's been able to do to my hair. After a session with full foils I came out looking like a blonde goddess. I've been going to Arsova Salon for several years, and I have to say, I've never loved my hair more. Noel cuts and styles my hair, and he is the BEST! I have fine hair, and have never been able to grow it, but somehow here I am with healthy long locks. He just knows how to make my hair (and me) look my best. I see Raygeanne for color and she is fantastic. She highlights my hair and again, knows what I want before I know what I want in color. I've had a few other colorists when Raygeanne is out, and they are all talented. The salon is nice and clean, the staff is friendly and offers pleasant and fun conversation. Overall a five star rating. The prices are average and I think a great deal for the quality received. read more

I had my first appointment here today and it was wonderful! Ashley cut my hair and did a phenomenal job. I've had my hair cut at many places in Chicago and this is my top. Not only did Ashley make me feel comfortable and relaxed, but she was easy to chat with and most importantly really understood what I was looking for. Pricing was completely fair esp for this location and the upscale vibe. I was worried that it might be a little pretentious given the location and prices, but that wasn't the case at all! It was very down to earth and everyone was sweet. Arsova is also taking lots of Covid precautions with masks, dividers between the hair wash bowls, and our haircut station was at least 10' from other people with appointments. I decided to make an appointment with Noel for a cut due to all the great reviews he had received. I'm happy I made this decision. Did you ever hear of a hair salon that ONLY has 5 stars reviews ? come on... not one neutral, 4 stars even ? i went there BECAUSE of the reviews and got screwed BIG TIME. there is NO WAY that their reviews could be real because the quality of the service is not even close. First when you call and ask for someone experienced who knows about a certain hair type, you get an idiot in... new zealand with a heavy accent who doesn't tell you she's not in the US, but can still recommend someone to you. She said for Highlights on dark hair, i should go for Jordan. She doesn't have a clue what this guy does, she works for dozens of companies in a call center. She said partial highlights "start at $85". Stylist said he wanted "$165". If the salon is so successful, how come they only employ juniors under age 28 and can't afford a receptionist ? i went there and SHOWED this guy a picture of MY OWN hair highlighted and told him that's what i wanted. it was beige/bleach blonde in the pic. Jordan is presumptuous, arrogant, emotional, a pathological liar and dishonest. He wouldn't listen to any advice based on my previous experiences, said other stylists did certain things because they're "lazy". He basically spent his time saying how experienced, talented he was and how much highlights he's done before. Don't believe a word. He's 26 and knows nothing. He did say he would match my platinum beige extensions (which are wet in the picture while the top had been dried). . Well ? i got brown hair. Simple as that, after dozens of foils. i kid you not, i got hair exactly like Keira Knightley's. And the absolute worst ? he started lying with a straight face saying that my hair was the same as the pic i showed him. He was getting irritated and impatient which is probably the worst thing you can do to a female customer when you've ruined her hair color. He not only failed completely in applying the right amount of foils, failed in the amount of hair highlighted, mocked my previous stylists, but ALSO applied the wrong toner. The owner doesn't have a clue, no leadership, no spine, no nothing. NONE of these 2 belong in any hair salon for human beings. Who could I trust to take over such an important task?! Absolutely TERRIBLE experience here. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I originally scheduled an appointment over the phone to get my hair lightened for my wedding. When booking the appointment over the phone it literally took the girl 30minutes to figure out how to book the appointment and then she had to call me back to ask for my credit card information to hold the spot in case I cancelled. I explained that I wasnt sure what service I needed but I needed a consult and the service in the same appointment. When I show up for the appointment it turns out I was only booked for a 15minute consult! I was obviously upset with the lack of sheer incompetence and the fact that my wedding was just a few weeks away with very little time to reschedule. Reluctantly, I rescheduled for the next available appointment--which was 2 weeks later. I was very clear about the fact that the absolute earliest I could get there was 4:00 due to work......well I show up for the next appointment less than 10minutes late and I am told that the girl I was scheduled with assumed I wasn't coming (I never received a phone call)....and was getting ready to see her next client. Say what?!?!?! So they thought they only needed 10minutes for my full highlights and toner????? I am obviously furious and now a week and a half away from my wedding date.....without my hair being done--and that was my last available free date before the wedding!!!! Knowing all of these things and the fact that the salon MESSED up yet again....you would think they would be accommodating in some way. But NOPE....just offered to reschedule my appointment yet again.....as if I would ever trust Arsova ever again. This place is a JOKE. read more

Elyssa Lovejoy is fantastic with hair! Not only does she make the salon experience enjoyable she is gentle with my hair/ scalp and knows exactly what I want. I asked for her to brighten my hair with more of a white blonde tone but to also incorporate my natural root and for a slight trim. She did just that! I was mostly amazed at how perfect the balayage was, and how she freshened my ends with out cutting all my hair off. She is a true hair artist.
