If you're looking for a real estate agent Pam is as good as it gets. Being in real estate all her life I'm sure she has seen it all. My husband and I were looking for our first home and decided to use Pam because of her knowledge and experience in the area. As first-time home buyers she walked us through everything - what to look for in a house, what to expect, what renovations would cost etc. Things that you wouldn't think of because lets face it - purchasing a home for the first time is ridiculously intimidating and difficult! Pam was especially helpful when it came to making offers and negotiating deals. Connections are everything right? Trust me, you want a real estate agent that has connections and experience working with other agents when you're making offers. You really don't want to be using your friend's cousin's uncle that just got his real estate license yesterday. With everyone getting beat out with cash offers I truly believe that without Pam we wouldn't have gotten our home. She helped make our home-buying experience smooth-sailing and minimized our emotional stress during the process. She is a kind-hearted, honest person that is truly passionate about real estate. I would not trust Art Del Rey Realty with a rental application. Pam told me, "We did like your application," and suggested I add my mother as a cosigner. We each paid a $20 screening fee. Two days after my mother paid, Pam admitted she had been "too busy" to even look at her application. For days, we repeatedly called and messaged trying to get a simple approval or denial. Pam promised an answer and didn't provide one. She eventually said the owners hadn't responded and were out of town. After researching the company, I found numerous reviews spanning years describing strikingly similar experiences with rental applications, fees, lack of communication, and waiting on "the owner." I withdrew my application, requested an itemization of the screening fees and any refund required under California law, and told Pam I was filing a complaint with the California Department of Real Estate. After days of struggling to get a response, she replied one minute later: "We will refund to you thank you." I have now filed a DRE complaint with documentation. Being denied was never my issue. Taking applicants' money and then leaving them in limbo is. Based on my experience, I do not consider this a trustworthy way to conduct business. read more

She was great at communicating before and messaging as normal I went to see the apartment she had available for show on sultana street with my husband and infant. I went to see the apartments she had a man showing the apartment stating all we have to do is apply we were so excited as this was our first time going through this process trusting all the good things said about this woman I gave her a month I called I went in person to her office and now reading other reviews I really gave this woman the benefit of the doubt and she just was a scam the place was off market not so long after. I wish things would have gone differently but I can see now going through the process with actual professionals who are actually trying to do the right thing and there jobs. Many Black clients/applicants have complained and found her to be dismissive and rude. Be wise do not engage her, you will be disappointed. I just moved out of 421 N Euclid Ave and wanted to leave an honest review~ We loved our humble apartment and were so grateful to have found a place to call home for two years. Although the building is older, maintenance of the building was always taken care of. The leasing office cares about their tenants and are prompt on communicating frequently. Pam has always been our direct source of contact when we needed help with anything in our unit, she's great and has always been professional and caring no matter what time of the day. We loved our place, the location, and the leasing office ladies are the friendliest we've ever had. We also had a parking spot in the back, all you have to do is ask for availability and they will always try their best to deliver. Thank you! read more

TRUST THE BAD REVIEWS! Do not rent from this company. If you look at the good reviews, those people only wrote one or two reviews and are likely Pam's friend or acquaintance trying to clean up her rep. But the bad reviews are actually written by people who have several reviews already on Yelp, meaning they are true yelpers. My fiancé and I applied to rent out a property. Keep in mind that our application qualified in every aspect and everything that they needed for us to qualify. I had no doubt in my mind that there would be any issue to getting approved. I've lived in other apartments before. It really only takes one day, maybe two to decide on a candidate. This place never returns calls. Never updates you. Good luck getting a hold of Pam. Any smart property manager can tell you that the longer a property is vacant, the more money the owner is losing. And Art Del Rey Realty has absolutely no urgency to move quickly on the applications. My situation took one week, but per the other yelpers, their situation took 3 weeks and longer. TRUST US. Don't get yourself in a situation where you end up having a crappy landlord because this is exactly the vibe I was getting. So after discovering they went for another candidate (keep in mind they never even bothered to process my application!) we went back to the office to ask for our application fee back. And lo and behold, there's Pam (the most difficult woman to get a hold of). Her sweet old dad was there, talking to us and walking around the office. He was so sweet. And here comes Pam walking out of her office and starts yelling at him "I'm on the damn phone!" She says this as she is walking right by us without even giving us a second glance. Doesn't bother to greet us or anything as she screams at her poor father. Do I want to do business with a woman who treats her dad like that, especially in front of prospective tenants/customers/public?! Hell no. This was a blessing in disguise to not get their rental. Me and my fiance were interested in a house for rent. When we showed Interest they were really nice after we filled out the app and payed 40 dollars for a credit report everything went down hill told us that the landlord hasn't made a decision and that Pam would call us and she never did. I called several times wit no answer or decision on the property. When she finally called us back she said we got approved and she sounded happy for us. Then I notify her that it was the wrong house that we applied for she said she would calls back and never did. Then she said that we were not accept because of my credit that it was very low so I went home and print out a copy of my credit report which is way over a 700 score which in my eyes is a great score I wouldnt recommend them for renting or buying very disappointed in the service read more

I rented from this company, for a while it seemed alright, but once my room mate and I had some trouble, it all turned to hell immediately. They didn't have any of the paper work I filled out, and when I applied for another house they have, they keep us in the dark for a week. We decided to give them a call for we were very excited to move there, but they told us it'd take another week to process the applications. This happened three weeks in a row. I called until I got Pam herself to answer the phone, she expressed a frustration at the inquiry and that she needed more time at which point (a month and a half later) I was frustrated and asked for my application fee back. I came by to pick it up, but was over whelmed with disappointment and felt that the company isn't honest or very organized. I would recommend that if your application takes longer than two weeks to review, you give up and ask for your money back. read more

I hate writing negative reviews but I'm writing this to let you know you are not alone! If you feel the realtor at this place is leading you on go with your instincts and find another place. If I could give Pamela zero stars, I would. We applied for a house back in July. I spoke with Pamela over the phone and expressed interest in the house. She said she would email me the application. It was a few days and she never sent me one but I let it slide because let's face it, we all get busy and forget! So I called her again to remind her only to be told she's not in the office and she'll return my call. Never heard from her. We finally got a hold of her and we filled out the app. Everything seemed good and we were told "we're just waiting to hear back from the owner." We waited and waited and we called Pamela again asking what's going on with the situation but every time we called she was either "in a meeting" or not there. She NEVER returned our phone calls and we were being persistent, too. As weeks passed, we looked at over twenty houses and we could not forget this house that we wanted. We just wanted an answer so we can move on without having this house in the back of our minds. So this time We got a hold of Pamela but she did the owner is in South Africa... This may or may not be true but the not calling people back who are expressing interest is not acceptable or good work ethics! We FINALLY got an answer after we called and asked hey we need an answer now. But now the owner is in South America?? Story doesn't add up and it's odd the price of the house keeps dropping. Obviously we were a no but why not just say that in the first place and not keep us waiting? It seems to me, by reading other reviews, I'm not the only one here making the same complaint. Three months of "she's in a meeting " or "I know this is ridiculous! We've never had this problem of reaching the owner I don't know what's going on" is absurd. Just be upfront. Sometime we read reviews on Yelp and when its negative we may ignore it or dismiss it, I made that mistake with Pam Del Rey. I became a tenant of one her buildings in Arcadia from 2016 to 2017 and I can tell you, she is one of the most unethical, incompetent and just a liar I have ever dealt it in 35 years of living in California. When a person like Pam, who is a real estate agent, whose persona is to put on performance to project this image to gain trust for people to buy a house from her. I am sorry, that is really a pathetic and dishonest, I have no respect for such a person where their entire life and being is just a performance and a LIE, this is who Pam Del Rey is. I placed an application in July 2016 for an apartment in Arcadia, first the she raised the rent from $1100 to $1200 after just a week I already placed my application. This is after I spoke to her and she said they don't do things like that, that should have been my first clue whom I am dealing with. I moved in to this very unusual building where you are sharing a court yard with another building directly next to you, with a different landlord, tenants there cause all kinds of noise disturbances. I had the unfortunate to share a garage with a Korean couple who lived like two homeless people, with packing the garage with every trash you can think of. I had to park an old sports car next to their car, with very little space due to the trash. They also left the garage door open almost every week. I tried talking to them and it was like talking to the couch, no change. I reached out to Pam, she didn't even know their name or who these people were, even though they have lived there for over 7 years. This was another clue that Pam does not even come to the building that she manages, in fact she told me that her real business is her real estate and the managing of building is just an inconvenience and something she didn't want to deal with. It was two months into my tenancy and around September, the tenants of the building next to us had kids who played in the court yard, right outside my door daily for hours, that started at 4 pm to 9pm and while their parents did nothing to stop the yelling and screaming. There is a park directly across from the building but these kids only played in front of the building. I work almost 60 hours a week and all i wanted was some peace and quiet when I got home Again, I brought this Pam's attention and she did nothing. I called the owner of that building myself and all he did was to complain about Pam to me, which was bizzar?. I told him, can you do something about the Noise disturbance and his advice was to call the Police. I did end up calling the Police 4 times and it only made it worse, because Pam then called me to ask me to move and suggested I should look for another place, when I had just two months living there?!. This is the kind of person you will be dealing with, she never came to the building to witness or address the problem but all she did was to say I let you out of your lease, because she is a lazy and incompetent to be a manager. I tried looking for another apartment but as you may all know the rents have really gone up and its not easy to find a new place fast. By December I was having problems with another Tenant below me who was HAMMERING at 7am on weekends and 9pm at night?. This was an old elderly retired couple who also moved a week after I moved in, I never thought in million years that I have a problem with a elderly person?. But this old Fart had no respect or concept that you are sharing the walls with other people. He also complained to Pam about ME, but here is the joke, he is the one causing the NOISE disturbances. I only text him to stop the hammering but Pam is making threats at me to that they are going to contact their lawyers????????????...Lol I finally gave notice and moved earlier than my 30 day notice., The apartment was clean to a move in condition and handed Pam the Keys on two weeks earlier than first of the next month. Any time I have ever moved out early, I was always refunded for the days I vacated the apartment plus my deposit and that;s what Pam said if she rents the apartment, but she lied to me again and went back on her words. I have already got my attorney involved and I will taking Pam to court and also filed with the Dept of Fair Housing for retaliation. All I can say here is to Stay away from PAM DEL REY she is dishonest and a LIAR. read more

Art himself is retired, but his daughter Pam now owns the business and Art still comes in to help. This is probably the most honest broker in the 626 area. My mom has known Art and Pam since 1970 and we wouldn't go anywhere else (they met at church). It's a small operation, but that just means you get more attention. They also do rental property management (i.e. if you have a house you want to rent out they can handle it - and they do it fairly and totally above board). I called them more than 10 times and left messages, but they neither pick up the phone, nor they respond to their messages. Finally, yesterday Pam picked up the phone and said that she will call me back to confirm my appointment time, but she never did. I contacted them again this morning, and left messages, but they haven't responded my messages yet. I don't understand this company. If they are not going to answer their customers, then why would they even provide their phone number. Extremely disappointed with this broker. Wanted to rent an apartment that was posted on craigslist. Checked it out on my 30 min lunch break, looked good. Very smooth transaction to start, turned in the app, paid credit check fee. Notified me a few days later that I got the apartment, and everything was fine. Things went downhill as soon as I inquired about getting the ancient 60 year old bathtub replaced, and some other minor repairs taken care of I originally didn't see on my lunch break. Pam is impossible to reach by phone, and email communication is vague and unclear. Had every intention of moving in to this place (regardless of the repairs), but as soon as I asked if things could be fixed, she notified me with an email saying the owner thought I wasn't a good fit for the building....and nothing further. Haven't heard from the lady since. I assume I was written off as a future "problem tenant" since I asked about repairs and they just completely decided to back out..which is ridiculous...but at least be up front and let your customer know what's happening. Overall horrific experience, complete waste of time, and terrible to do business with. Renters beware. read more
