Unprofessional Management, Unresolved Maintenance, and Unfair Treatment I do not recommend renting here due to poor management, ongoing maintenance problems, and unfair treatment toward tenants. From the first night, both AC units in my apartment failed to cool the unit, leaving it extremely hot and uncomfortable. Despite multiple work orders and follow-ups, this issue was never fixed properly. The unit also had serious plumbing issues -- the shower would fill with water, and the drains and toilets constantly made loud noises. Noise was another daily problem. Between the stomping from upstairs neighbors, trains nearby, and thin walls, resting was nearly impossible. I was also never provided a parking space, forcing me to buy temporary or yearly parking permits just to park near my own apartment. During one of the maintenance attempts to "fix" the AC, workers came in and tore open parts of the ceiling, leaving insulation and dust everywhere. This happened while I was pregnant, creating a stressful and unsafe environment inside my own home. Management showed no concern for my well-being or the condition of the unit afterward. After enduring all of this, I moved out early. Management agreed to waive the lease termination fee because of the ongoing habitability issues, yet they are now trying to keep my entire security deposit, which is not legal under California Civil Code §1950.5. A waived termination fee does not justify withholding a deposit. To make things worse, they relisted the same apartment right after I moved out -- at a lower rent than what I was paying, even though they never offered to reduce my rent despite all the problems I experienced. I have detailed documentation and photos of the unit's condition, including the ceiling holes from the AC work. Tenants deserve honesty, safety, and fair treatment -- none of which I received here. Wish I can give 0 stars! Even 1 is to much for this unprofessional scamming company! read more

We were in the fire that happened 5/19/25. They disposed of our PERSONAL ITEMS without proper notice! They lied and said emails were sent and calls were made. ONE email was sent on the day we buried my father in law. Real professionals would have made sure to get in contact VERBALLY with each tenant to ensure proper steps were taken. Do not believe the 5 star reviews of shoemaker court apartments in Norwalk. They are bribing tenants with $25 to leave positive reviews. Instead of paying people for reviews they should use that money to buy a new gate. The gate is always out of order and gives a loud beeping sound every 30 seconds at all hours effecting my sleep. In addition to this they raise rent without notice and important rooms like the mail room and laundry room are never locked after hours in which they should be. I saw their ad for a unit on Zillow. Originally the price was $1892 and was a place still being refurbished. I put a holding deposit down because we were interested in it and some of their other units looked nice but was taken. They decided to raise the price on us behind our backs and didn't tell us until the unit was near completion. That is just unethical business practice. Do not rent from this company. They outsource application processing to "Red Oak Properties" so if it's one or the other, I don't recommend either. They are scammers for sure. read more

My stay was such an answered prayer as I had a quiet complex, no problems with my apartment, and especially an amazing manager Elexiss who was quick to answer any questions or concerns. Never had a problem with safety and had the flexibility to park close by. The neighbors were pretty much respectable and quiet as well. The vendors they use are terrible, our complex went from being the nicest one on the block to being the trashiest one on the block since this management company took over and it's embarrassing. I've been living in my apartment for a full year now, so far my experience has been good. My main thing was making sure I got into an apartment that allowed my 2 dogs, both are pitbulls and unfortunately they're always frowned upon because of their breed, but the company gave me no issues at all and I'm grateful that they're pet friendly in a non stressful way like other places that were being so strict and giving me a hard time about them. Since I've lived here they worked with me with whatever I need done maintenance wise even financially, it's hard times so even with struggling during a family loss I let my manager know I was going to pay late and they reassured me that everything was okay I would just have to pay a small 1 time fee which was not a problem it saved stress from me and my family to give us extra time to pay the rent. I get notices for everything whether it's weeks or days before when something needs to be done in the apartments or on the property so that way I can plan things out and nothing is an inconvenience. My manager Justin has been so good and attentive to mine and my husband's needs in our apartments when we need something fixed he has made our stay very good and comfortable to live in our apartment. We also got a new manager as well her name is Isabel Rivera, I love how fast she is at responding whenever I reach out to her and she's very helpful and attentive with things I need done in my apartment as well. I moved in July 2024 and I will be staying here another year and happy to see another good year staying here in the Pueblo apartments with the leasing company. read more

since Positive Investments took over our building the property has fallen apart. paint on the rails is chipping. There's black mold, running down from the top floor to the bottom. The maintenance man is part time and is married to the so-called manager who only works two hours a day. The rent goes up every year at least $100 sometimes more.. I tried to email the company and my email was blocked, because they do not want to hear from the tenants. I have pictures. I wish I could show you before Positive investment took over the property and now so that you could see the decline. I needed support with my mom's application to a senior apartment community, however, when I called them they kept handing me off to different people to which everyone said they couldn't help me with my technical issues. All I needed to do was to change the apartment number I was applying to but no one could help. The person who answers the phone at Positive Investments stopped answering my calls. I had to call from a different number and she answered on the first ring. She said very rudely "I can't help you anymore with what you need", I told her that I've been nothing but kind and patient and all I'm looking for is support with changing the apartment that my mom was applying to yet she seemed very upset. She then put me on hold for a very long time to get rid of me, I hung up, called back and nothing, she's ignored my calls again. If this is an indicator on their treatment of tenants, I definitely do not recommend anyone rent from them and I'm glad my mom will not be renting from them and dealing with this treatment. read more

Terrible management the girls in the office to sit on their butts you ask them for any repairs it takes forever they want everything to be sent by email but if you don't have an email most of the seniors are here just to die. They lie about all the activities that they have in this and that they don't keep up the grounds. I mean, I could go on and on for days, but I probably wouldn't Fit. They say that there is no children. It's a senior complex bull. There's a couple of families here that have 34 babies and all they do is scream and yell and cuss out of all day long not to mention a bunch of different races partying at night and brawling at night. The cops are here every day at least once or twice there's a private security, which is a joke. All they do is drive through here like practically speeding with their lights on big deal that doesn't scare anybody. My car was stolen last year. The neighbors car down the way had her car stolen a couple weeks after mine two guys had their motorcycle stolen like repetitious I'm another man had his truck stolen last year so we probably had like a total of eight cars stolen last year. The office didn't even like expressed sympathy or encourage us to do anything about it so oh, and then they have cameras to you so much for those those don't work well get them fixed so unless you like living in the alleys or a practically homeless area, this is just like one step away from being homeless. When really the blame should be on the property manager we don't know if the issues are being relayed to the management company it is on the property manager to inform them of everything that's going on. I bet in most cases that's not what happens so all of you guys that are quick to say that Positive is a bad company. It's not a bad company. It's a very good company and I've seen a lot of stuff that they have done to our communities to make them better they spend a lot of money fixing these places up. They are far from Slum Lords, like you guys say that is not true. They do their best to make the communities a safe and healthy environment for us to live in. Regarding pest control issues they hire a professional company to come out and spray sometimes multiple times a week and that's not cheap, it also is the responsibility of us as tenants to be prepared when they do come out and I can tell you I've seen a lot of times where we have not been prepared the day they do come or the neighbor may not be prepared. This is a process that needs us as a team to work with management company to get rid of the problem. and unfortunately, that's not what always happens. Positive investment is a very good company and they have gone over and beyond properties to make them better places to live. I would absolutely recommend living in one of their properties. read more

My boyfriend and I after months of searching found an apartment in the West Covina complex. We met with Liz , she gave us a tour and answered all of our questions. She herself was new to the complex. We fell in love. Great location, spacious and parking too ! The unit felt like home immediately. We decided to move forward with submitting an application which was approved within a few days. We came back for our keys and contract. Super easy process from viewing the unit to applying and now calling this place home. We have now been living here for 3 months and continue to love our place. There have been small details that needed to be checked which were take care of immediately by Liz and the maintenance team. The team seems to be in and out without leaving signs of ever being there which we love since our cleaning lady seems to coordinate to clean and have repairs done the same day... The Alosta ave complex and the Alosta team are welcoming, friendly, and shit many if not all needs for most people. Specifically for me, it's the close proximity to everything, laundry room, pool, mailbox. The garage parking is a huge luxury in this market, especially for the price of living. The Alosta management team is prompt, professional, and polite. My maintenance issue was handled immediately and an upgrade was provided without request. There are literally 2 dozen places to eat within walking distance, as well as movie theater, a drug store, and a grocery all on or just off of Historic Route 66 facing the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains. read more

Since she has managed our Building, there has been some fabulous changes. The place looks completely different then what it was a few years ago. Most management companies come in and wash the building down and then walk away. Judith is a phone call away and she gets the job done! Our building looks Fabulous!
